Delicious pastry fans, I have good news. West Melbourne‘s newest cute cafe has opened and it does not disappoint. A really delicious exciting collection of meticulously crafted pastries are on offer, including some interesting flavour combinations such as a pistachio and matcha cake, but let’s talk coffee – West Melbourne sets are pretty high bar for coffee, and I’m pleased to report that The Flour has immediately launched itself into the upper quadrant of the area’s bustling cafe scene. Definitely worth a visit and just a very short walk from the Queen Victoria market near the corner of Capel Street and Victoria Street. Drop in and Harry will look after you. I’m looking forward to making this my regular coffee spot.
What a delight for West Mebourne. One of Melbourne most friendly coffee personalities has opened his own cafe and it's a gorgeous place for a brew. Harry's service is kind and respectful, and his coffees are great as you would expect. The cakes were spot on and my, this place was busy! I had a lime pistachio cake and the density was just perfect. So glad to see it being so well received in such a good area. Just to add all the staff were amazing and friendly. If you don't know, Harry's is one of the Australian brewers champions and he's a buyer for one of Melbourne's biggest green coffee suppliers. He knows his stuff and is really well respected.
We went for lunch nearby The Flour, my wife and I wanted to grab a coffee afterwards and my wife told me to come to The Flour...so we came and bought a batch brew and a flat white...initially we asked for takeaway but then there was a spare table so we decided to sit down...the shop assistant did not hesitate and swapped the coffee into dine-in cups...and they were superb...the service is top notch and staff are hospitable...coffees are great...and we ended up buying 250g of filter blend roasted by Harry Ko....highly recommended!!! Not many places in Melbourne does good filter coffee but this place is a top choice!!!
new bakery melbourne : @theflourmelbourne : Victoria St, West Melbourne : The Flour has just recently opened their doors on Victoria St, West Melbourne. They stock up with different kinds of bskeries everyday, from cookies and dacquoises to cakes and basque cheesecakes. ❤️: The dacquoise was soooo delicious! The filling was tangy and the biscuit itself was light and heavenly ☺️. If you love refreshing drinks, definitely recommend the fizzy coffee drink with juice. Delicious and perfect for summer! Cake was a bit dry but the biscuit was yum!
a beautiful, cosy coffee shop with extremely friendly staff and delectable asian-inspired baked goods. the madeleine was perfection, subtle yuja flavour. the basque cheesecake also perfection, with that molten centre and lightly burnt exterior. the staff were so kind to allow me to purchase the cheesecake, walk around the cbd a few hours then come back and pick it up. i cant wait to come back and try something new everytime! thankyou flour for your sweet gestures and goods ((:
The Flour is where I find my favourite batch brew in Melbourne. It is clean and bright. Always. Hand brews are even better. Not really a surprise given the credentials of the owners. This is a true specialty coffee haven where everything is prepared with intent and attention to detail.

Was keen to try their matcha goods but missed out as I came 30 minutes before closing. They were still well-stocked with their other goods though! The corn & gruyere financier was rather dry but the flavor itself was nice. The yuzu madeleine was better but still on the slightly drier side, and had a nice tangy glaze. The passionfruit dacquoise was the best! It was moist and had a refreshing taste.

Great sweet treats all round. Madelines and the pre ordered biscuit tins are my favourites. The coffee is very good as well. Good for specialty coffees and tastings. Limited seating and it doesn’t look very impressive with the decor, but the important bits are great.

Taste was alright but service wasn’t. All the staff were busy to take care of their acquaintances, leading to slow serving even without many customers. Staff at the reception couldn’t understand orders properly due to the noise. Napkin wasn’t provided nor in stock where it’s supposed to be. Everytime we needed staff for water, tissue, mis orders, etc, we had to go to the reception and wait for a while to have their attention.
I had a blueberries tart and latte. The tart was very nice and the sweet level was perfect for me. The latte was smooth and delicious. When I arrived at around 10:50am, there was packed. However, I was able to get a table soon. Cosy cafe. Friendly staff.

Do yourself a favour and grab a Pastry and a filtered coffee from the talented baristas here, you won’t be disappointed. In addition the staff are super friendly and customer service is outstanding. We accidentally spilt our water onto our dessert and the staff came and replaced it with fresh ones at no charge. Can’t speak highly enough of this cafe.
Definitely go in and try some coffee made by Melbourne's kindest most professional coffee guy. The pourovers are well selected, and excellently brewed. Milk coffees presented perfectly with lots of floral character, the dark horse being the coffee spritz massive effort for all the pastries, but we couldn't go past the Basque cheesecake
Amazing coffee and delicious dessert:) I tried Canelé during the lockdown and it was outstanding. Unfortunately, when I went to the shop, most of desserts were sold out so ordered cheese cake. Even though there were not many of options, I was happy to have yummy desserts in a shop with a coffee. will stop by to get some Canelé soon.
I really want to give five stars to this quaint little cake shop because it’s so cute but I am sadly a little bit disappointed with one of the cakes I got- the Victorian sponge was a bit dry. Otherwise the chocolate stout cake, the lime madeleine and the canele was wonderful. The service was amazing too!
Lovely atmosphere and amazing staff. Especially the barista, he happened to forget about my coffee and when we checked on it, he immediately made it for us and apologised by giving us a financier on the house. An amazing place with amazing food that I can see myself coming back to in the future.
My favorite store, Darkwaz is the number one store in Melbourne. Plus the owner’s hand-brewed coffee is simply wonderful.

Dropped in to try the canale, and was not disappointed. They were everything! Crispy outside, soft and light inside, full of flavour and cooked to perfection!! There are many other small edible treats, I’ll be trying too. Chestnut cakes, Madeline’s, Dacquoise slices! Yum!!
one star for coffee, one star for pastry, there are 3 missing star for customer service. If you store don’t like any photos taking around counter (even avoid staff and other customers, please put outstanding notice, or your staff can let me know generally and politely.
Beautiful new place for coffee and bakeries. Fancy some caneles and cakes with a perfect cup of coffee. A hint that they also do iced coffee here, especially during summer times. Have to emphasise their coffee is too good, our current place for coffee now! Loved it!!
If you appreciate the artistry of French pastries and crave a refreshing twist with a nice brew, The Flour Melbourne Cafe is a must-visit. Prepare to be enchanted by their delectable offerings and leave with a newfound love for the fusion of flavors.
Went there with high expectation but nothing impressive. The staff made mistake with our order so we were charged more but didn't get any change. The second coffee was made 15 mins after we got the first coffee. The barista was nice and
Baked goods were amazing! Nothing else like it around the area. The batch brews were light and smooth. The cafe itself had an elegent yet cozy atmosphere and staff are very friendly

Love this place! I haven’t tried their coffee, but their baked goods are absolutely delicious. I’d recommend if you want some quality baked goods, many of which are French, and a few very subtly Korean style.
coffee is just ok more choice of desserts than other cafe I have came here for 3 times to try more things, until now I feel nothing impressive, but not bad to come to try one time if u r a dessert lover~
Visit here for their cakes Also I’ve ordered a signature drink fizzy sour but not so my type as it’s a bit sweet for me.., maybe I’ll try other brew coffee next time :)
They offer a good selection of cakes, and other small baked goods but personally I found it a bit of a hit and miss. The canele was just ok but the financier was good.
Got gifted the prettiest christmas flour biscuits, great presentation and nice range of flavours and textures!

Second visit because of the dacquoise. My pick is tropical dacquoise (passion fruit I guess). Mostly pricey but all staffs are kind and deserts are great taste.
If you're visiting Melbourne, this is a must visit. Try the strawberry dacquois, pistachio and corn/cheese madeleine, and basque cheesecake.
SO GOOD. matcha and tropical dacquoise is a 100/10. canele (not pictured) is 100000000/10. I’ve never eaten something so delicious.
Canele so yummm flat white taste so good as well I miss the coffee already and would like to visit again. …
Really like the canneles. The service is also very good. I accidentally dropped the cup and the staff was very nice. Ty!
Super friendly staff, the coffee and desserts are absolutely amazing!! Will try more next time ❤️
