I am an alumna of TCIS, Class of 2010. TCIS is a beautiful community where students and their families are supported in many different ways from academic, mental and physical health, faith, to daily living skills. The classes are taught by passionate and wonderful teachers. The advisors and teachers made sure that I am in classes that could challenge me to the next level so that I could have the curiosity and interest to engage in learning. In the dorms, students are in great hands with the most caring, compassionate, and experienced dorm parents and RAs. Coming from a Christian background, I appreciated the practical but also the spiritual support and guidance provided continuously by my dorm parents. There a wide range of extracurricular activities from sports, arts, to student government/organizations. Competing with and building relationship with students from other international schools were also a valuable experience for me. The experience of playing sports as a team and performing on stage allowed me to develop leadership skills and confidence. The service and outreach activities were one of the meaningful experiences for me because it allowed me to open my eyes to the real world problems related to inequity of access to education, health care, and other resources across the world, for example, by traveling to India and the Philippines and working with the children, families and local schools. These experiences led me to develop a heart and compassion for under resourced and underprivileged communities. I was a student at TCIS for 5 years, and I am in great debt to all the teachers, dorm parents, staff, administrators, and peers in this very special community. TCIS prepared me to find my passion in a career trajectory that benefits people and the society, and as a result, I am completing my PhD in the U.S. at an R1 university collaborating with researchers, policy makers, and practitioners internationally. If you are wondering and praying about your child’s next steps for their education, career, and most importantly holistic growth and development, I highly recommend you to choose TCIS. Once you join this community, you will be not just a student or a parent — you will be a part of our TCIS family and we will all support each other both during and after your attendance at TCIS.

I am a recent graduate of the class of 2021 who attended TCIS from 2009. The rigor of my IB classes and the emphasis on critical thinking and discussion since the middle school years are very useful for college courses. TCIS solidified important concepts and skills that provided a good foundation for me to learn more challenging material. A distinguishing characteristic of TCIS is the small class sizes, which allowed me to develop a strong sense of identity with my classmates and allowed me to get to know my teachers really well. There is also a considerable diversity of student led clubs and extracurriculars through which I was able to explore and try new things from early on. I am very grateful that through the teams and clubs I joined, I forged strong friendships and reaffirmed my sense of self. I am very glad to have been a member of the TCIS community. Go Dragons!

My daughter graduated in the Class 2020! I was so happy that she was able to walk across the stage for graduation! That was her long time dream as a Senior! THANK YOU, TCIS, FOR MAKING THAT HAPPEN! Today, I am very proud of her! ...as she completed Navy Basic Training (bootcamp) back in December. I believe her Dorm life experience at TCIS attributed to her success during those months away at Bootcamp! The most challenging part of bootcamp for many is being away from home..sharing living space with many strangers and then having to create a bond with them during that time in order to successfully complete the training and graduate. Very much like what she experienced there at TCIS!

Recently, I saw this place on media, and I thought that it'll be really helpful to check it out. I saw that I am still able to attend the high school and I would definitely love to. I saw how the teacher gave a blinding teaching and I'm sure that'll help a lot. But due to the pandemic and some other problems, it's impossible for me to attend the school or even make a short visit in Korea. But anyway, Taejon Christian International School gave me the idea of studying more hard so that I can one day attend the school even though it might be impossible. And you might not even know that you all inspired me a lot. It's random, but I'm always thankful.

There’s nice place! I’m wanna go to South Korea school but I’m still deaf and sign with ASL.when I’m use with my cochlear implant. I can speak with English and I’m still learning Korean language! Anyone did there have deaf school in South Korea? And please let me know if there has? Thank you! P.S I’m sorry I’m not good with English

TCIS has been the most family-like community I've ever been a part of. With friends that I have made for a lifetime, teachers who invested in me, and the campus who pursued the Lord as a whole, I was blessed by this place that will always be my home. Grateful for this school that helped to create me into who I am today!
