We enjoyed both of our tours with this group, with the tour guides Alejandra and Shao. On the first afternoon, we met with Alejandra and learned about Longshan Temple and the area around it. We appreciated her passion for the things she talked about, such as potential explanations for why certain things were built the way they were built, and definitely learned something new! On the second afternoon, we walked around Old Town and the 228 Peace Park with Shao. We enjoyed hearing about the social and historic background of the city and Taiwan, and personal anecdotes about her family helped illustrate some of this. The tour was a lot of fun!

Alejandra gave a very detailed yet engaging background about the history of Taiwan and highlighted the resilience of the Taiwanese and the various milestones they achieved. I also enjoyed the Ai yu jelly drink that we had at one of our stops! This walk is suitable for all age groups but do wear comfortable shoes and bring a hat/ fan to deal with the heat. :)

Ale was a passionate and knowledgeable guide who shared insights on the history of Taiwan. There was a “hidden” market that is really only frequented by locals. You will learn a lot on this tour.

Great experience with Ale! The free historical tour was very diverse and Ale very nice. We saw markets, learned about the history of different neighbourhoods. Really recommend doing this tour!

Great, historical context tour of the old city (there isn’t a lot you can see of historical buildings but interesting information and some cool sites to see) Shao was a great host and guide!

Josh has a relaxed vibe - walking tour was a great way to get to explore the city. Other people on the tour were lovely and friendly group.
