"Fantastic place"
"I got the aji katsu sando and a mochi an pan (mochi and red bean paste filling with matcha dust on top)"
"I came here to taste their matcha red bean roll, but was a little bit disappointed by that"
"Very nice bakery without the manhattan rush but fast Japanese precision; the buns with cream cheese and coconut were amazing! Sweet, spongy bread as the protagonist with a little cream cheese filled and on top and coconut flakes for a delicate coconut flavor"
"Purchased a strawberry shortcake for my friend's birthday and it was a hit! My friend kept complaining that the cake was too delicious as she ate more pieces"
Fantastic place. Tons of pastry options, most with traditional Japanese flavors. You'd have to come back again and again to try them all, which I recommend. The sriracha tuna roll is good, but I'd recommend the green tea koshi-an, which is a great balance of three classic Japanese flavors - green tea, red bean paste, and sesame.
I got the aji katsu sando and a mochi an pan (mochi and red bean paste filling with matcha dust on top). The sando had perfect soft bread, crispy fish, and a nice amount of cucumber for balance. The mochi pastry was soft and not too sweet, just perfection. For both it was $8.50 with tax, super yummy lunch. More
I came here to taste their matcha red bean roll, but was a little bit disappointed by that. However, I am giving this place five stars because other dessert, mocha roll and sandwiches here were really delicious. I strongly recommend their California sandwich. Also, they had beautiful chalk art! (Picture)
Very nice bakery without the manhattan rush but fast Japanese precision; the buns with cream cheese and coconut were amazing! Sweet, spongy bread as the protagonist with a little cream cheese filled and on top and coconut flakes for a delicate coconut flavor. Definitely will return soon!
Purchased a strawberry shortcake for my friend's birthday and it was a hit! My friend kept complaining that the cake was too delicious as she ate more pieces. The cream in particular was outstanding and very light, and paired really well with the strawberries and sponge cake. More
Really nice bakery serving Japanese style goods. We had a mochi bun, a cheese bun, and a red bean bun. The bread was slightly sweet and the inside was creamy and yummy. The prices are quite reasonable, too! There is a small seating area, and a bathroom for customers.
Visited this Japanese bakery already two times in two weeks because their authentic pastries and savory options are just so good!! The drinks they offer go really well with their pastries and their Matcha Crepe is out of this world. Definitely a must-try!!
A nice, quiet little Japanese bakery in Tribeca. The matcha crepe we got was very unique and delicious - there were red beans inside, which was a nice touch. The service was also friendly and fast. There is a small seating area at the back for customers.
Delicious and affordable Japanese bakery that sells a variety of foods, from pastries, cakes, sandwiches, to coffee and tea. The red bean cream matcha crepe was so soft and creamy and the iced matcha latte wasn’t too sweet and has a strong matcha flavor
Whenever I go to the city I always make sure to stop by this store I studied near by however found this place by end of senior year I regret so much not finding this place earlier.their cream buns are the best, croissants too. most
Bought the shrimp sandwich for lunch yesterday and Oh My! Was it fabulous! I have tried nearly all of their savory side for breakfast and lunch. If you get a chance try their "egg and cheese" sandwich for breakfast. The egg is sunny side up
I used to like this place better due to quality and the selection of baked goods. This was first time visiting after the Covid and I feel like their quality went down a little bit. Honestly I was never again OC there service anyway and that
Absolutely delicious Japanese pastries in a cute atmosphere. I tried the matcha custard danish, which has a lovely, strong matcha flavor, just like I would get in Japan. The yuzu shiro danish was delicious as well with a bright yuzu citrus
Want Asian breads in the area? Feeling like an afternoon snack? This is a perfect place to stop by before heading to many of the local subway stations. There’s a wide selection of breads, pastries, and sandwiches or salads if that’s more
Ordered the strawberry cake (2nd popular cake next to Matcha cake). Cream tasted very fresh and mildly sweet which was perfect but the sponge was a bit dry. They weren’t so generous with strawberries between the spongy sheets which was
This is a very nice place to grab a quick bite not too far from the City Hall and the Fulton Center. They have great sandwiches, salads and desserts. There is room to sit down and enjoy your Matcha Crepe with a good cup of coffee.
Takahachi bakery has fresh pastry, salads, sandwiches and cakes. Both sweet and savory. One of my favorite things is to go sit in the back and watch them bake. It’s clean, fresh and delicious. The price is good for New York City.
Matcha crepe is otherworldly, soba noodle salad is my favorite for lunch, ambiance, fair priced and welcoming! I would gatekeep this place, but fortunately lots of people know and visit this gem in Tribeca - as they should.
A tiny, family owned Japanese bakery that has been popular for years. They have good matcha products and bakery items and are fairly priced! Items do get sold out 1-2hours before they close every day so act early!
Japanese bakery, macha crepe is good. Terrific egg salad sandwich. Seating in the back. They also have coffee and tea drinks available. I think it's a good value relative to the quality.
I think my expectation of the experience was too high. But the banana bread and the matcha bread was good. Match bread>>> very delightful actually Every bite of it was wonderful.
Great bakery with open kitchen. The business had a wonderful peaceful atmosphere and the workers were helpful. I bought some bread, a panini and a latte. Reasonably priced.
Cozy Japanese bakery in downtown area. There are some eating space and you can enjoy freshly baked pastries and sweets(you can see they are baking)
Really nice bakery/coffee shop with both Western and Asian style snacks and drinks, the California Sandwich (crab stick and avocado) is soooo good!
Great matcha crepe! I’m a huge fan of Japanese crepe cakes and this one a nice single crepe to try. It had beans and whipped cream inside.
This place stands out, not many Japanese bakeries in NYC. I ordered a matcha cream pan, yuzu butter cookies, and a cappuccino.
Just ok. If you’re hungry and you need something quick, and it’s convenient, this is an ok place.
Stopped by after shopping at Korin later in the day so most of the items were already sold out.
