Target….5 Stars for customer service! Today, my daughter and I ventured out to find a specific product that we know Target has. Well, to be fair, online it said it was available. 4 Targets later we end up at this location. The product I was looking for was on an endcap. Unfortunately, the color I wanted was not there. Before I continue, I must say, this was the fourth target we went to today. Every other target it was the same situation. When asked if they may have others available In the store, we were always told no. Nothing that made us feel like customer service went above and beyond, but it was a pleasant interaction. Everything changed at the Chouteau location! Found the product and it was the same situation…not the color I needed. The specific endcap where the product was located there were two girls working, Madi and Ashley P (yes, I asked their names). There was a cart of boxes directly in front of the endcap. I thought it may be worth asking if there were more in the boxes. The girls asked specifically what I was looking for, and I had told them about my journey. Madi says she has a seen a few in back. Longer story short…. She probably spent over 20 Minutes in the back and came out with multiple choices. My daughter and I had gotten a phone number from another customer that we met at a different location and we’re able to call her and let her know she could also come pick one up and she did! It’s Christmas, and more often than not we forget to be kind. Not these girls.. Even if they didn’t have the product, they made me feel like they were putting in the extra effort. Thank you so much! Management, I hope you praise these two!!!
As I was walking around shopping, looking for certain items like people do I noticed I was being followed by a Target employee suffering from severe facial eczema. She was obviously an employee wearing the usual Target shirt and had the radio clipped to her belt and shoulder. Someone talking to her over the radio with saying, “ keep staying with her.” I ignored the fact she was obviously being told to follow me for some reason. As I turned around she was literally standing directly behind me I could have stepped on her. So I politely asked her if she knew anything about the new hair product for curly hair that Target just got in, because I can’t find it. She said, “I’m not sure what you’re talking about, and she led me to the hand lotions? She then proceeded to act like she was facing the small hand lotions and just walked away!! As I was walking around the store getting my items I came there for, there were several teenagers being loud throughout the store and two middle school boys running around the store! Now do you think anyone of Target staff addressed these issues?!? Not a single one! Let’s make it a point to focus on the person that is actually doing shopping, but taking their time while doing it! Makes sense to me!? NOT! Talk about having your safety priorities backwards! I’m all about quality control if I’m I were the type of person to do that, but I’m not!! Let’s get it together TARGET and train your staff better!!
My visit started out fine, the gals who were trying to help me were new and were trying to figure out how to refund the difference of something I had just purchased that was now on sale. They were super apologetic and I was being patient and trying to help the best I could by marking which items on the receipt were on sale. I even pulled my receipts up in the app to show the sale prices. The gal ended up calling on the walkie for a manager. The girl in charge… Madelaine, showed up and said…I “think” this is how I’ve done it, then proceeded to try it. It worked for one item, but would not allow her to do anymore. Another gal came over to help and said…you’ll probably just have to do them one at a time. Since I knew that would take a long time to do, I said…it’s okay, I can just take the receipts to my regular store since they’ve done it before and should know what to do. I told the manager that she may need to get someone trained on how to do it though, so that they’ll know for future customers. She became very haughty and said…We KNOW how to do it, it’s just a system issue. She then stormed off with an attitude. Just a piece of advice to headquarters who put such a young, immature girl in charge…you may want to explain the importance of mature leadership to her and possibly invest in sending her to management skills and training classes.
we purchased a Nintendo switch for the first time. Of course we bought the game, the extra controller & the console all together. Get home & the console doesn’t work… we decide to just return everything…. Except we can’t. Target apparently doesn’t allow returns on games once they are out of the plastic. It’s “illegal” I guess. Ok, understandable, out of their hands. But here’s the thing… I wouldn’t even be retuning it if you didn’t sell me a defective console. And here’s the other thing… You know this is an exception to the typical return policy. Why was this information not relayed at the time of purchase? Now I’m stuck with a useless, $60 purchase. I talked to 2 people and one of them spoke to their lead. Everyone gave me the same response. “There’s nothing I can do for you.” As a retail leader of 8 years, I encourage you to tell your customer’s when there is an exception to the typical return policy that will prevent your customer from being able to make a return. I would have been happy with a store credit even. But nope. Nothing.
Really, really like this store. I stopped mini section: $1, $3, $5 goodies. I had question: stopped at a resgister with a very, amazing cashier. She very helpful & sweet, wonderful customer service. ▪︎Then I went on my way to finish my shopping through out the store. ▪︎Finished up, came back up, she was still working so I went straight to her. I am sorry: I didn't get her name but; Rec#2-3316-0071-0954-4 vcd, video, ▪︎I hope this will help to identify her, because this woman deserves Kudos for such amazing customer. ☆ I am handicap woman with a cane, bad back, knee I can bearly get around sometimes. Her truly caring, friendly attitude comes through to customers. I give her 20 stars, I truly appreciate it her customer service. ⭐ She was a slinder african American women, with short styled hair.
Helpful ladies working, dangerously full of fun stuff I want to get. The makeup needs restocking. Also the tags on them did go off when I did self checkout. They didn't look at me crazy for three differently done checkouts...(makeup) my wedding card for one, (pillows and plastic organizer bins) the household card, and then again for (clothes racks {go for the 18$ double bar home essentials one over the 11$ single bar and dont use the middle pole option it is taller and sturdier if you wear dresses they wont drag on the floor and i'm short 5'2 +3 inch heels sometimes}the metal pants hangers are a lot gripper then they look I am pleased the original item I wanted was out of stock and I got them instead) business needs.
This target has usually been a good experience, but lately I’ve found that staff are not as friendly or helpful as they could be. A cashier named Tina, in particular, was very rude to my wife when we were checking out this afternoon. My wife has the Target app, and had discounts from Cartwheel, as well as a credit from the Target Wallet, and when Tina scanned the app’s barcode the first time and provided the total, my wife mentioned that she’d like to use the credit from her Target Wallet. Tina took a condescending tone and said “I can’t; I’ll have to rescan everything,” acting very put out. What a frustrating, embarrassing and disappointing experience at a place that I otherwise usually enjoy visiting.
This store just spent probably a million dollars on a complete store remodel. I've lived here for 8 years in the neighborhood and spend A LOT of time and money at this location. The remodel of the customer service desk was completed with a beautifully crafted "Exchanges and Returns" sign as you can see in this photo I took; however I was told today.... "we don't do exchanges; our policy has changed".... so after a million dollar remodel with a sign that includes your policy..... its now something different. Twighlight ZONE. Seriously.
Ethan in drive up is always on top of it. He knows me by name, always has a smile, and asks me how my day is always doing. He truly cares about his customers, and today he even got outside before I even got there. He was out there with the bags just patiently waiting for me. I did Walmart pick up today for 4 items and it took them 15 minutes. Thanks to Ethan for always making me feel special as a customer instead of just a number. His customer service is so perfect. Thanks again Ethan!!!!
My pregnant wife and I were attacked by a crazed homeless man on Christmas Eve while visiting KC. Our car window was blown out and we needed to run in to grab tape and trash bags 15 minutes before closing on Christmas Eve (7:45pm). The employees did not let us in (before closing) for our targeted 2 items to help mitigate the rain damage. Thank you Target rent-a-cops, not even a visible shattered window and crying pregnant wife were sufficient to let us solve our emergency.
The local manager here decided she will no longer honor price matches for items on sale at other retailers - aka the entire point of the price matching. Apparently target employees are now able to change corporate practices as they choose. The customer service attendant was nice so that is the reason for the one star instead of zero.
Awesome support for customers who are visually impaired and require support to shop. Helpful and friendly staff who are always willing to help. We are recognized and greeted as regular customers at this location. Everything is always clean and organized the entire team to support each other and the customers who drop their location.
Almost every aisle of this store is a complete disaster. All of the price checkers are broken. It’s so unorganized! There are no cashiers. Only a self checkout lane with 15 people deep waiting. But they have 3 employees dressing a mannequin and laughing! What has happened to Target?
This is the worst target in the KC area !!AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! every time I have to shop there I end up regretting it. Today I got some Pringles and when I got home they where open and half eaten. Last time, I got some pumpkin bread. IT HAD MOLD. Costumer service reps not helpful.
Ridiculous they cant answer a phone. I have called an absurd amount of times only to be hung up on. Ive callled every department. Ive called pickup and delivery. Customer services. No one picked up. Target used to be so much better than walmart. Now its a damn twin.
Do not do drive ups here. I've been sitting for 40 minutes. They keep missing my items and skipping over cars. The gentleman passing out everybody else's stuff keeps messing up too. Never again while I place it online. Order here unless it's one item.
Self checkout is fine, until you need assistance and the person who is suppose to be helping just ignores you. 04/11/2023 5:47pm I walked out and left my stuff at the register. She can put it all up since she failed to assist. Just dumb.
A staff member named Rabia helped me at self checkout. She was so polite and patient. And she went the extra mile to help me use my gift cards when I was unable to do it properly. And the store is nice and clean.
A very nice Target. They are always so clean with good selections. Items are easy to find. Staff was available and helpful. It was convenient since it was close to the hotel I was staying at.
I'd looked for a specific calculator for my business portfolio, and Target was the only store that had one. It was an pleasant, experience, clean store, and friendly staff.
Scanned a couple of halloween items in December. no price shown and an employee said they’d price it up front. up front told us it scanned in at full price. …
I recently picked up an order at my local Target. The guest representative was very friendly and helpful. I am most happy with this service.
Love this Target. Bual was very helpful getting a seasonal item for me that showed in stock on the app but wasn't on the sales floor yet.
Great store and well stocked! Groceries are plentiful, and fresh produce is nicely displayed! Good employees! It was worth a visit!
Not as nice as some of the other targets but it’s great if you just need a few things and don’t want to drive as far.
A splendid items hygiene food clothing anything you need great customer service a very awesome …
Takes a little long for your online orders to be processed and delivered but it's not too bad.
This is the best kc target location Always clean well organized And great employees. !!!
