Honestly, the restaurant is located in in the worst terminal at JFK. I went to a supposedly upscale restaurant (which wasn't this perfect place) in the terminal and the guy served everyone around me even though they arrived after. He even threw my drink at me. Anyways. I immediately left and found TASTE NY and ordered the meatball sub and fries and honestly, it was soooo good. I almost liked the plate. Choose here before any other place in terminal 1. Also...PS...they did everything via tablet and didn't even waste a single ounce of paper on the reciept. Love it. Now if they only used real plates...

After spending 62 hours in ny for business, having been disappointed with the lack of good service, I finally found excellent service at this bar close to gate 4. Ask for Brianna. This girl should be a waiter in a 3 star restaurant. She's friendly, knows how to provide excellent service like chilling the glass for your champagne, making sure you have everything you need and makes you feel welcome and taken care off without the phoney friendliness of so many establishments. She's a gem and the champagne and wines were great.

The service is horrendous... I can understand when a place is busy, but the lack of care or effort is astonishing. How do these people still have a jobs & how is this overpriced place still open with a ONE STAR RATING! Never in my life... Almost forgot that some nice gentleman (customer) bussed the bar for us, waited ten minutes than told them we needed drinks.. still nothing!! We gave a 2nd chance & regret it immensely. Still never got our food order in

For sure the worst food I have eaten in a long time. This should not be allowed in JFK, or anywhere else. The 21$ Burger was terrible (meat looked and tasted very bad the cheese looked like melted plastic) and the 20$ pizza looked like a microwave reheated low quality pizza. The 15$ (!) canned Sapporo beer was warm and served in a plastic cup. The only acceptable item were the supermarket packaged chips that come with the hamburger. Just don’t go there!

I think the hate on this place is overrated. Though I don't think it is 5-stars perfect, I think it should be pushed to the 3 star range. Yes, the prices are high, but what do you expect? You're at JFK. Service was good, and I got my burger, plus they gave me free ketchup and water. All in all, it's not perfect, but one of the better places here

Sat in lobby/bar area for almost 10mins....no one helped us, and there were many open tables. So we moved on and got food elsewhere. We could find no where to sit so we went back to use one of the many open tables and wouldn't you know it we got kicked out immediately. What a disappointing experience right from the get go. Would not recommend even a minute of your time here!!

I should've looked at reviews before I sat down here. Even for airport food this is terrible. I had bacon cheese fries which cost $12 for less than a handful of turbo-chef-cooked "fries" with ham on top. The poor guy next to me ordered a burger. Looked like a mistake. The bar is longer than most airport bars, so that's pretty much the only thing good about it.

Had a $23 double burger but tell u what McDonald’s makes it better and 2 beers little and large total was $50 with the burger , the worst airport food ever had in my life, didn’t even make it to my gate when had to go to bathroom right away cause my stomach couldn’t hold it down, would eat there if it was last place, please avoid it

I'm not much of a traveler guy but boy did I love Taste NY. It is the only option in terminal 1 and out of my price range completely- but the open faced sandwich and awesome staff made my experience good. They were super nice and friendly and so I feel good about coming again. See you soon

Really overpriced. Hummus starter at 13 $, only got half a pitta bread! Our server was nice though and broke the rules to bring extra. Nachos were made with cheese whiz rather than actual cheese. Food really bad and expensive for what you get. Sorry for the staff that have to work there.

STAY AWAY, Worst food I ever had in New York. Waitress was lazy, had to wait 20 minutes just to give our order. Food was overcooked and sloppy served. They don't even deserve 1 star, unfortunately Google doesn't allow 0 stars. Only good thing is that we don't have to come back ever.

I wish I had read the reviews first. Staff was friendly and polite. But when I was advised my total was $76 for Two hot dogs a mimosa and a ginger I should have said no thank you but the "I'm not a broke b%$th" wouldn't let me leave it. Please don't fall into this sunken place.

These guys can’t even wipe a table out…I should have known better…absolutely disgusting and a rip off ! Avoid it ! I lost 30 bucks for food a dog wouldn’t eat as I gave it back to them. You don’t want to be sick in the plane and there are other decent restaurants further down.

The food was disgusting and it tasted like it was still frozen the fries had no flavor and it was soggy I recommend nobody ever to eat here because they will serve you terrible food and it’s expensive.

The food is quite good, but the Staff is fantastic. Angelina & Priscilla are so kind with the costumer, really commited. They are the best colours of this place.

Way too expensive for the food. 16$ for a microwaved cheese burger and chips (yes you can only get fries if you pay 4$ more). The waitress was nice, but besides that really a scandal. Would avoid. Even Mcdonald is better than this.

Only 16 dollars for the most juicy and tasty burger ever. You can compare the patty with the bottom of your shoe and the cheese that is on top with a layer of melted plastic. Will definitely come back to New York for this burger!

Really seriously awful food, brings me back to the high school cafeteria. Super expensive as well. There's a lot of other places to go in this airport. But they gave me free water in a cup so 5 stars.

Way overpriced. Nachos ($15) are a small cold serving of Tostitos with liquid “cheese”. Didn’t want to risk eating it before flying.
