2021 UPDATE: It has been almost 6 years since I bought my first home with Penley McNaughton as my realtor. Halfway through my first 5 year term I really felt the cost of owning. Susan Penley came out to the house to give me an approximate listing price as I was seriously thinking of selling and renting again. Susan did the walkthrough, and took details on improvements I had made to inform her numbers. More importantly Susan stayed and chatted with me and listened to the finance peril I was in. She spent almost 2 hours with me just to talk and listen. In the end, with all her years of business and life experience she talked me off the ledge and encouraged me to stay. And I did. I made it over the hump and renewed my mortgage for another 5 years last fall. Looking back I am shocked at her care and consideration for me and my needs. Any realtor is jn the business to sell homes and she could have nudged me in that direction to her own gain. Rather she took care of me like a family member and kept me on track in my house investment, and kept me in the home that is a perfect fit for me and my family. They were patient, thorough and very knowledgeable. They guided me along and helped me walk through the viewing and decision making process. I felt very well taken care of, informed and secure in my decision making. And my first house met everything on my checklist and more. Their special touches from house waeming gifts, holiday recognitions and market updates make them feel personable and familiar. I wouldn't consider using anyone else in future transactions.

I was referred to team Penley McNaughton by a realtor in northern Alberta which is a huge indicator as to how wide their excellent reputation reaches. I found it was time to sell my house which I had been renting while living in the United States. The entire transaction was done by phone, fax and email - which was no problem at all. They were dealing with the renters, arranging showings, assisting with scheduling inspections and following up quickly and promptly on any surprise issues that popped up ... and with an older home those surprises popped up! Team Penley was referred to us for a cross-country move (Toronto to Calgary) in February and we could not be happier with their professionalism and excellent customer service. The Penley-McNaughton team was flexible, responsive, and worked around the clock to assist whenever we found a house we wanted to tour, or when we eventually decided to put in a bid right before deadline.
