Buckle up, my experience with Tech House Indooroopilly (and the Tech House group in general) has been one hell of a ride. I dropped my $3400 MacBook Pro 15" with Retina display off for a simple battery replacement on April 21st, being assured it would only take around 2 hours. On April 26th, the replacement was done. When I got it back that night, my Mac had been broken. The trackpad wasn’t working and the screen was flickering. How this can happen from a simple, routine battery replacement is beyond me. The next day, I brought it back and it was confirmed by Morgan from Tech House that it would need to be sent off for repair by a third-party group, and that it “would cost me nothing but a little bit of my time”. My mum then called in and was told the Mac would be back, likely repaired, by the end of the week. It was not until May 10th that the Mac arrived back in Brisbane and I was not even contacted to be informed of this. In fact, had I not called in on May 11th for an update, I doubt I would have ever been contacted as Tech House lacked communicational skills on numerous occasions. We then went into Tech House on May 11th and met the genius "technician" that broke my computer, Jessie. He did not seem remourseful or apolagetic in any way, in fact he did not really seem to care at all. We were then told to contact Callum, who apparently has a higher role. He was initially unavailable for contact, but told one of his employees (Jack) to enform us, in a fairly passive-aggressive email, that they simply did not have the funds to replace it and that it would take another week or so to get an insurance claim on it. Callum then actually looked into it and realised how much Tech House had inconvenienced us so he made the claim urgent and another week later, I was provided with a replacement Mac. So, if I were you, I would not go to Tech House in Indooroopilly or any of their other stores. Callum was fairly reasonable in his actions, as the manager of a small company line there is only a certain amount of urgent action he can take. However, the other employees that worked with us throughout this experience were so useless and rude, it is mind-boggling how they are still employed. Morgan showed no empathy or attention to the situation and lacked communicational skills, Jessie was so incompetent and once again could not have cared less about the situation (which he caused), and our little experience with Jack was also a pain as he was rude and careless. My Mac was finally replaced on May 19th, 29 days later. From requesting the battery replacement to receiving an entire replacement for my destroyed Mac, the whole process took 4 weeks. Let that sink in, 4 weeks, for an operation that would have taken place over a matter of hours in most other stores. If you have an issue with your computer or any other device, go to the retailer or another repair store. Companies like Apple, Samsung, etc. will give you the attention you need and treat the matter with the urgency that is warranted. I was happy to turn it in for a simple 2-hour process, but I would never have turned in my Mac for 29 days. Thanks to that, I unwillingly missed 4 weeks of effective work on school and projects for my job. Thanks, Tech House.

Tech House is the Go to place for all our computer needs. We run a small business and have various Computer needs from in house fandangle desktops, to robust on road laptop for our team of Electricians. As I am not super Tech savvy. I simply tell the guys at Tech House what I need, what I would like to spend and they deliver the right fit computer/s every time. We just picked up two MSI laptops today that my young and very Tech Savvy team at work..... are all very impressed with. I cannot pass by this review, without mentioning, how slack I am at backing up and how amazing the Tech House Team are at retrieving my close to lost data. They pulled everything off my recently dying desktop hard drive, transferred it to a new one and all my data was saved. They transfer all my other programs as well and my desktop operated with exactly th same data access, but faster. We live and work on the Northside and I drive over to Indooroopilly to use their services and buy their products, as our Business has always received such outstanding service and advice. Thanks Callum, Hayden and Andrew.

Through Tech House Indooroopilly I have gotten my hands on my first ever gaming desktop machine and curved monitor. The staff are very friendly and easy to communicate to which really made my day. My machine sadly had blue screen issues and complications that I don't fully understand. I do not believe this to be the fault of Tech House Indooroopilly. Technology can be a very complicated thing and sometimes new parts can arrive faulty. This could have been due to postage mishandling, manufacture error or any other number of things. Tech House Indooroopilly handled the issue as swiftly as they possibly could and made an unfortunate situation into a great one. Callum, Hao and Morgan are great guys and fantastic at what they do. A special thanks to Callum for really going the extra mile and helping me in many ways. I highly, highly, highly recommend this place to people that want great service, high quality equipment and an amazing experience! Hayden/ Noah.

Visited today with my sons PC which had gone dead. We were seen by Darren who was fantastic. Very personable and friendly manner, and a professional approach in how he explained what the potential issues could be. He was clear in explaining the costs and offered some possible reasons behind the fault prior to the testing. The inspection labour cost was very reasonable as was the repair cost. He repaired the computer and we had it back within a couple of hours. He also gave some helpful suggestions on maintenance and upgrade options for the future. Great customer service and would highly recommend them based on my experience today.

Overview of review Helpful and friendly staff Timely build (a week from payment including ordering parts and build) Within budget. Dropped in just to see what they could do for me, foumd the staff was very helpful. They helped me build the best computer for cost thst i gave them. Even when they found they needed some extra parts it still fsll into my busget. The one bit hey forgot on the orginsl invoice (which i didnt pick up on either), they only charged me for the cost of the part amd even then it still fell within expected cost only going over budget by $90 for a custom built computer of $4000, that is very much okay by me.

Fantastic service and business model. Replaced MacBook Air battery - no fuss, no hassle and even a free loyalty bonus. If you have a Mac don't bother going anywhere else as these guys are the nicest and best people to deal with. Also important - they are fair and reasonable in their pricing. One happy customer. It's ii months later and I had to return comp battery which was not holding charge. No fuss, no problem all done in 48hrs and no questions asked - well hardly any questions asked. It is again as I stated a year ago great service by this company. Highly recommended.

The shop at Indooroopilly has been there for several years but I assumed their service would be expesive being in a massive retail mall. Not so. Exceptionally impressed with technical service on 2009 iMac and the associated costs. I had diagnostic and followup repairs costing $89 which would have cost $320 plus a diagnostic fee at Mac Doctors (who always did an excellent job). Customer service at Tech house could not be faulted . Truely a pleasure to deal with everyone. I was also constantly informed of progress along the way.

5 stars seems like an understatement for the service I received at Tech House! Callum (the owner) went truly above and beyond to repair my laptop and get it back to me under time sensitive circumstances. Every time I was in store, all staff I spoke with were extremely helpful, knowledgable, and honest. This is tech service that you can really trust, and the repair was far more affordable than I had ever expected it to be. Thank you so much again! I will absolutely be recommending to anyone with any tech queries.

Andrew was really accommodating. I came in needing a battery replacement. While competitors were charging $90 to unscrew the back of my laptop to check the part number, he did this for free in store. Admittedly, competitors offered a slightly better quote for the battery replacement itself. However, I had a much better overall experience here. Only 4 stars because I could find the required battery at Battery Mate for $60, while Tech House charged $190 for the battery and labour involved in the replacement.

Fantastic - recommended. Been there a few times now. We needed a new PC for our son, they arranged everything and even included our son for an hour in the afternoon to build it together with him - what a hoot - he had a great time and couldn't stop telling his friends - he was so proud - an amazing experience. They were incredibly kind and friendly, the kind of service we used to get when there were still corner stores rather than big box businesses. Well done guys - please keep doing what you do.

My phone has been having trouble charging for months, turns out there was a lot of stuff in the charging port, I walked in no appointment or anything and Morgan served me. started fixing my phone straight away, I got home and it was fast charging again for the first time in about 8 months, I was seriously considering purchasing a new phone because my phone has become so finicky to charge. and These guys at Tech House Indooroopilly solved my problem no fuss straight away and I even got a discount!

Fantastic service from Tech House. We had problems with an iphone continuously losing charge and finally just boot looping. Thought we'd need a new battery, possibly a new phone. Tech House opened up phone to find the battery loose and screws were just sitting on top...we had had the battery replaced previously, elsewhere, and that's how they did it. Thanks Andrew, for such excellent, informative and friendly service. Don't risk your device, take it to Tech House and get it repaired safely.

Most impressed by these guys. They are knowledgable and efficient. My repair was relatively simple but out of my competence; they took it in the morning and was able to pick up mid afternoon. More impressed by their tenacity and contacts in being able to track down a driver issue on my wife's laptop. Took a few days, but they were methodical, called in contacts and kept her informed along the way. That experience was why I went there and they didn't disappoint me.

Handed in my laptop for a small diagnosis a few days ago thinking that it would cost me lots of money just to have it looked at and was proven completely wrong! Callum and his team were helpful, friendly, and attentive - they kept in contact with me throughout the process and provided excellent customer service from the moment I walked in store to the moment I left. If I ever have a tech problem again, I will definitely return!

I am very happy with the advice and service I received from Ross when buying a new computer and monitor at Indooroopilly last week. Ross found out what I thought I needed for my health clinic and then provided the expertise to ensure I had a computer that would cater for expansion of my business and services. I was surprised at how quickly the system arrived and having help to set it up and transfer data was great.

Amazing, cant thank Tech House (Callum and Andrew) enough. I had lost some photos pre 2008 which had great value to the family. I brought in some dead apple time capsules and the team were able to recover data from both including the sparce bundle (which apple themselves were unable to help with). I had tried data recovery before with another mob and ended up with a $2k bill and nothing.Thanks so much Tech House.

Excellent service and result. Andrew repaired my husband's phone to perfect working order, which had been assessed as irreparable by the manufacturer. *Manufacturer* said the phone needed a complete rebuild, which would have wiped all photos of our recent trip. Not so, genius. Have also had a laptop battery replaced by these guys. Caring, prompt and professional. Our 'go-to' from now on.

had my first ever pc build organised through Tech House. I went in told them my budget, special requested items for build they were all super helpful. the entire Process was easy and they got it down quickly and professionally. what ever your tech need may be these guys are LEGENDS definitely recommend if you want a custom built pc or any parts if you are not confident on PC parts etc.

These guys have saved me more times than I wish to admit. They always have time for my questions and help me with all my tech problems. Just recently I had an issue upgrading to windows 10, I dropped my laptop off in the morning and it was upgraded and ready to go that afternoon. They even cleaned out the dust from the fans!!! I'm sure you guys will see me again soon!

After having tried with several other big stores and online and having no luck I went to Tech House in Indooroopilly. Very helpful in assisting me with working out what I needed to set up my work laptop at home and ordering it in for me to pick up from the store. Good to have the personal service and get it sorted out, the benefits of a small business!

A really great place. I came in with my computer completely dead and dysfunctional - they figured out its (multiple) problems in a day and fixed them all in less than a week. Could fix both hardware and software problems. Great customer service as well. I had Andy, who was friendly and funny, but was also a professional who knew his stuff.

Callum and the team fixed my brat of a computer in no time! Admittedly, it seemed the only problem was my inability to get the damn thing going again after I swapped out the PSU, but it could have been the motherboard. Great service and competitive pricing. If I run into issues again, I'll be running back to Tech House Indooroopilly!

I popped in there today to have an iphone X screen replaced after mine was damaged and could no longer be used properly. The guys were super friendly and helpful and had it replaced in about 30 minutes with no issues and no fuss. I'd be happy to continue to take tech stuff there if and when it needs to be repaired. Top work guys.

I can't commend tech house's staff enough. I spoke with Callum from tech house about building a custom computer and right away it was clear i was in capable hands. His professionalism and diligence were only out shone by his obvious natural friendly and caring nature. I hope tech house appreciates his service as much as i did.

Drove 30 mins to have a cracked iphone screen replaced here instead of my locals, and couldn't be happier with that decision. Andrew was professional, friendly and extremely efficient, got the phone fully repaired when I had only just started on the noodles from next door, lol. Excellent service and highly recommended!

I booked a house call to set up a new Mac computer. To transferring all data from a MacBook to the PC, to reinstalling the printer and trouble shooting other issues, it was money well spent getting the work done correctly first time. Callum was professional, reliable and friendly. I can't recommend highly enough.

They have changed hands.... unlike the previous owners who apparently cultivated long-term customers, the new owners would not even lay a finger on my laptop (with a suspected dead battery) or even offer any professional advice unless I paid a $99 diagnostics fee up front. They lost me...I'm walking.

I've used Tech House three times now. The first two times were for advice at the counter, both times given for free, and the third time was a major repair. All times the staff were very helpful and the advice good. The repair was returned much faster than I'd expected, and right on expected price.

Amazing service, help me and my brother with all our parts to do our first build, Let us know what might be better then what we asked for. When I had forgot to ask for my keyboard that I had ordered they offered to post it since we live far from the store and ended up driving it to me.

Amazing service, compared to apple or "official resellers" they will actually diagnose the issue for a fraction of the cost rather than replacing the whole logic board at the price of almost a new laptop! Happy customer.
