More hassle than a TSA checkpoint and costs more than airline check-luggage. Here is how the process goes: 1. While at the booth the staff asks you to scan a QR code to make an appointment, during the process uploading photo ID and airline itinerary are required, along with phone and email etc etc. takes about 10 mins. 2. The staff asks you to open the luggage, presumably for security reasons. Takes about 5 mins . 3. Staff then takes a photo of you, then fill in some additional information into some computer. 4. Pay $25 for a check-in size luggage. $20 for carry-on size. Travellers from Europe who are used to unattended luggage lockers will be horrified by the absurdity.
Awfully SLOW service! Beware you'll have to do a reservation which includes every single flight detail with passport photo and wait until every single luggage getting in gets manually inspected down to every single pouch and liquid (literally much slower than TSA). Only 1 people inspecting luggage, only 1 person handling system registrations both of which don't hurry to the minimum despite the long queues, making the whole experience painfully slow. No surprise some people claim to have missed connections by storing here. In top of all the 25 USD per piece is horrendously high. Ended up booking a place nearby with a luggage storage service app.
Located in Terminal 4....all other luggage storage facilities at JFK permenantly closed after the pandemic. All storage is done through ONLINE. You can scan the QR code onsight, but it will take you through the same procedure. It's best to reserve in advance and then just drop off and go. Not cheap, I think it was $20 or $30 per bag for 7 hours. The bags are all hand inspected prior to storage. There are security straps placed on each bag in front of the customer. The sky tram can take you in-between terminals if you did not land at Terminal 4 and it is free. Would highly recommend for safety and security!
Don't know why everyone is rating it so low. The only down side of this service is that it is only offered in terminal 4. Would of been great to have it in every terminal in my opinion. As for the pricing, I thought they were pretty honest with pricing. It is a little more expensive but that is your choice on whether you wanna use it or not, they are super thorough and are pretty easy to use. In another review it talks about having to go through the application process, it's easy whether you decide to do it in person or before you go there.
I arrived 5:30 AM on a Wednesday and there were no other clients. I saved a lot of time by filling out the online form before arriving. I had a carry on bag-pack and I was charged $27 for it. The bag was thoroughly inspected as mentioned in the previous reviews but in my case in all it took like 15 minutes or less. I returned back at 8:00 PM and it took me 2 minutes to collect the bag. The price is quite high but day walk in Manhattan it was very helpful and well worth it.
This place demands incredible (and unacceptable in my opinion) amounts of personal information in order to store your luggage. They want a copy of your boarding pass or flight itinerary, and your government issued ID. Nope. Not giving this to a no-name kiosk in the bottom of an airport. The ridiculous ID requirements aside, they are also currently charging $25/piece of luggage which is absurdly expensive. Just say no to this business.
Had a pleasant experience as the staff was very quick & efficient in checking and storing the bags. It would have been much better if they had provided clear instructions as there is no proper guidance. It does not matter if you fill the form online as it's mandatory to fill the application in-person and schedule an appointment. The team was fast and picking up the luggage was super quick too.
I waited. And waited. And waited. And thought, seeing the Speedy Gonzalezes at work, I'm going to lose another 30 minutes just registering my suitcases (in spite of doing 95% of the work on their website prior), so I left and went walkies with my Delsey. Best idea ever.
Worst storage ever. Instead of the simple self service locker you have long line waiting for each bag to be opened, tons of paperwork to fill via their online checkin and the cost is ridiculous. In Europe it takes literally 2 minutes and costs like $5.
Super easy and quick service! I recommend filling out the survey online and setting an appt ahead of time so then they check you in as soon as you get there. Friendly staff.
