Been to a lot of Tesco stores this one is focused on moving customers as fast as possible through the store and even has around 12 self checkout machines but only 9-10 are in working order 80% of the time. Most staff are young can be rude but, its a quick store so not really a requirement; it could however have separate queues for paying by card/cash. As its basically a student store (closet for thousands on campus) it should be 24/7 and should expand as it would work due to high demand. As at the moment at peak times which occur a few times a day can cause very long queues often covering the entire store.

This Tesco has been designed to make it easier for shoplifters. Very badly designed and proof of a company moving away from quality. Do not go to this Tesco as you will be disappointed. In any Tesco don't be fooled by their clubcard prices as it is a scam...few days before reducing the price of a product ..they increase the price and then show you are saving. The management have no concern for the staff working here as they have put the spirits and alcohol outside the till area. They are always at risk of being attacked and abused. Shame on such a big organisation.

Terrifying, aggressive bouncer working (27/08/23 Night Shift), he was barking in my face to buy my items within 2 minutes as the store was closing in 15 minutes. The man countinued yelling at everyone in the store very aggressively, everyone in the store looked on edge. As a young female I felt extremely scared and threatened. He could tell I was scared and continued yelling at me to hurry up even as I was paying. Awful experience. Will avoid this store from now on and urge young girls to also avoid this store especially at night.

Stops people from entering the shop before it closes. Girlfriend was not feeling well and I didn't have any ibuprofens at home so I had to rush to Tesco to get them. Arrived at 1055pm but they refused to let me enter the shop even when I was in dire need of medicine. Best part of all, even as I was trying to explain my dilemma, The security guy there rushed towards the door and stepped on my new shoes. Seriously lazy staff and please buck up. Shameful.

At rush hours, such as 12:00 pm Tesco opens all the self-scanning zones, meaning there is no social distancing at all, even when it's non rush hours the corridors are super narrow, and not even staff will social distance. If I were in the vulnerable category of COVID 19 I would not enter this Tesco Express. The good thing is that queue times are minimal, and the small size means you go through the store very quickly. But at what cost?

This store is very well located in a place surrounded by Aston university campus, Old Fire Station accommodation and even accessible to people who live in Bagot street as well etc.. Next to Tesco Express you can find Costa coffee shop and opposite to Tesco you can also find Greggs and Peri Peri chicken restaurants to fill your tummy. Shops are a great value add for the students who live nearby.

It's extremely over pieces compared to other shops. My main problem with this Tesco is the dates on food is awful! Every time I go in the dates on produce are either going out that day or the next. I've never seen anything that would even close to a week. Also the amount of times I've seen rotten food on the shelf is disgusting, alrhought given the dates it's hardly a surprise

Was a good Shop while at uni. Until the cashier said that I was too fat to be the person on my driver’s licence. I was so flustered I almost left the shop with a full bag of shopping that I hadn’t paid for. It was quite a shock for someone to say that to me. And now I don’t go there because I don’t want to be reminded of that embarrassing and upsetting experience.

Good range of items , used to be 24 hours however now it's not . Staff are not the most helpful but once you do get the attention of one not so bad . Security need some extra training follow you around blatantly until you ask them why .

Great place to visit if you enjoy staff moaning about the customers. Too small and terrible layout. Either make self checkout fully card only or implement two queues for those wanting to pay card and those wanting to pay cash.

Rude staff! I have been there to return a package and a staff member at the till named Sophia was the rudest person ever not willing to help and not friendly at all. Worst experience I have ever had in a tesco store!

massive rodent problem on campus, which seems to have burrowed into the tesco's milk fridge, strong smells of large rodent....do not purchase from this fridge unless your've a desire to contract weils desease

Not very helpful at all I brought some bits and wanted some change for the car park and got told they could not help me. I felt I was talked to very rudely as brought some bits so that I could get change.

Good location think needs to open at 6.00am 6.30am as many people at aston University start at 6am. And maybe 24hr as students are at uni all the time. Also could do with abit more variety.

The store is alright but the closing time is absurd. One day they close at 10:50 and another 10:45 and another 10:40. Might as well just adjust the closing time and get this sorted!

A really great shop, easy to get in and buy things from. they support Apple pay and NFC payments so it's fast and easy. The staff are always pleasant and helpful.

Rude members of staff. Wouldn’t let us buy an energy drink because one out of five of us didn’t have ID on them even know they’re 18.

Shop states open until 11pm but they are closing early at 10:50pm. Agressive security also when asked politely are they still open.

I am a regular customer and the staff are really nice. They get a lot of rude students in there and manage to keep their cool.

They recently improved the shop by extending it. Good store in an even better location, and the staff are helpful.

Went there to grab some food for evening class ended up seeing one of the cashiers let someone go without paying

Cant beat Tesco prices, but the atmosphere and how small it is, lets this down. super claustrophobic.

rlly good spot to steal things from, 100% would reccomend, 1 downside too many cameras remove some.

As a student life saver however, can see why people give it a bad rep as can be quite rough
