I’m putting 5 stars but with a bit of a warning. This is the bar for the disenfranchised. This is not a bar where you are going to get Michelin star service this is a bar where you go if you want to be surrounded by genuine people. Fair drink prices and heavy music. I am visiting for a work convention and i have been here both nights. I stayed. My first night i got to experience karaoke and people dry jumping the floor to the best of meatloaf I’d do anything for love and it was glorious. My second night is while I’m typing this and it was much more relaxed than the first night but people remembered me and people were super nice. The first time i walked past i saw a hand drawn image of Anthony bourdain and I’d like to think he would frequent this bar if he was still alive. I can’t thank the crew there enough for such a great and remember time.

I am from Austin and I was visiting San Antonio for the night. We had drinks here to watch the game and when I tabbed out, I paid cash and the bartender forgot to give my back my credit card. Since they don't open until 4pm, I wasn't able to get my card back the next day. THEY WILL NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE, so I can ask about my card and give them information on someone who can pick it up. I've called every day since, Saturday 10/27.

The best dive bar in all of the downtown area. Yes 5 stars based on a dive bar category. The best beer and shot combos in SA. Make no mistake, this place is the divest of dive bars. It caters to the lower middle / working class person. Check any pompous attitude at the door because these patrons dont care where you came, they only care if you are genuine.

Was downtown bar hopping on a Friday night with a buddy. Hadn't heard of it and wandered in. Chill vibe, exceptional bartenders and service. Not overcrowded which is a plus for me. We had gone to two other bars where everyone just stands around in groups, too crowded. But here, you can breathe, shoot pool, drinks are cheap. Will return.

I love a good dive bar and this place hit the mark. 2 or 3 pool tables and darts and arcade and a vending machine. There were locals selling homemade tacos (delicious) and foxy, flirty bartenders. Great tv selections which is an often overlooked art. Most of the customers were local service industry.

Bartender was great. Drinks were affordable. Seamed to be a nice group of people there. 4 stars because women's bathroom apparently smelled like terrible wet dog. No visible reason for this, so not sure the cause. Still willing to give 4 stars. Bartender was really nice guy.

Best dive bar downtown! Recommended to anyone who loves a low class experience. Great bartenders and drinks. Cheaper price's than the riverwalk. You got pool tables and a dart board. Karaoke on Wednesday's and Saturday's after 10 and daily drink specials. Enjoy yourselves!

Great staff and good specials. Love when i walk in and the bartenders david and chris already know what i want. Shows that they really pay attention to their customers and theyre quick. This bar is home to alot of downtown employees, its where they all come to hang

They've made a staffing adjustment and the difference is notable. Texan II is a long time favorite of mine and Sharon & Crystal are the best. I'll be spending money here and supporting this small business again.

One of the best downtown dive bars. ANYTHING can happen. The beers and shots are a good price and the staff will treat you like an honorary River Rat. Swing by and I bet you'll have a swell time.

Always great service, cool crowd, and good jams. Always had nice convos with all the bartenders and the drinks always hit the spot. This place is one of my go toos in the downtown area.

This is my key watering hole. Theres a bike rack inside. Daily specials making a cheap drink go down easier to down. Every downtown server ,dishwasher , hardworking cheapass goes to.

Local bar, jump my friend and me for literally nothing, they where just that drunk or high. The owners kid facilities it so we they will have fun in court.
