It's definitely an iconic downtown Watering Hole. There are no whistles and thrills it's the real deal. It's not your fee fee kind of bar. You never know who you will be drinking next too. Anyone from ZZ Top, to a CEO of a top company, and then your average Joe who happens to wait tables on the Riverwalk. Adela bartender / owner's motto is "People need people. Our doors are open to everyone." Never are they judgmental. Sometimes you fine a person who is down and out who barely has enough for one beer but they're welcome just the same way as a person who may have millions. And if you're going to do day drinking THIS is your spot. The day bartender Terry is one of the best people person/bartender. She doesn't mess around with anybody shenanigans. It's almost comical. Terry is nothing but real love.

The last "real working man's bar" in downtown. The Pub has been around since the mid '80s, and still owned by the same beautiful lady, who happens to work there as well. The beer is always cold,drinks made with a heavy hand and jukebox loaded with all types of music. If you feel you have a good pool game, there's usually sharks swimming around the tables to test you. Was in San Antonio for a conference and needed a break from the crowd. Walking down Broadway I found Texas T. I went in and ordered an ice cold beer and met the proprietor, a beautiful and wise woman of 71 years old named Adela. She is a gift and a lovely hostess. I will always remember her and her hospitality and incredible energy. The bar is fun, billiards and sports on the flat screen TVs and the crowd is chill. Stop by and meet an amazing woman and have a nice cold beer San Antonio style.

Avoid this place at all cost. Filled with homeless people there was a man beaten by another man with a metal bar stool. The police was never called. The homeless bring in there bags of belongings and bicycles. There are 5 beer taps but they don't work. Did not have ingredients for a marqerita. Cash only no credit cards. We went there to watch the cowboys game. Lots of TVs but no sound. Don't go there.

Service may be a little slow but the bartenders really do try and at least acknowledge you're presence. Great vibe and cheap drinks. Great place to pregame before going to more popular bars downtown. Everyone is friendly and the music is always going. It's been a great place to go when I'm feeling lonely the bartenders have come to be friends and I really enjoy the other guests that come here to let loose and enjoy a nice drink with good company after a long day.

Friendly laid back little bar with free pool, a juke box full of older favorites, a friendly staff and beer specials. Enjoyed chat with the owner who is a sweet little lady who added to charm of this historic establishment. Really enjoyed my time here and the group of patrons who made it even more enjoyable. Didn't see a dartboard but was told they never really have it. Nice break from the hoity toity and could just be myself. Good time. Stop by!

It was ok but the Bartender was lazy & basically ignored us yes bro I was the guy wearing the black hat, don't know you never seen you but you screwed it up I was gonna have my b day party there & was checking the place out "oh its good place" Yea ok No it's cool instead Ill have it a "Jaime's Bar" on the Westside maybe ill invite you so you can learn real service

My son had his phone stolen at this bar. We tracked it back to the same area the next day. They had homeless people sitting outside drinking beer and homeless people inside just hanging out. It was a real shady bar. Also, my son had no physical ID and they allowed him to drink. It’s the trashiest place I’ve even stepped foot into.

You can't beat cheap. This is an old school juke joint. Make sure you bring cash, or you'll have to pull money out of the ATM. Beer in cans, bottles, and on tap in glasses. Hard liquor. Old style pool tables and darts. People from all economic statuses and walks of life. This is one of the best dive bars in San Antone!!!

If you are looking for a classic dive bar, you've come to the right spot. Cheap beers, fantastically friendly staff and regulars, bar games, and a cat named "Kitty Kitty Baby" who may just pay you a visit. We are excited to return-- glad we stumbled upon this place after an event in Peacock Alley!

Nice little spot to get a few beers or drinks and throw darts or play pool. Always the one drunk that tries way to hard to be friendly but a minor inconvenience. Sweet as sugar owner that like me loves her Bud Light. She also collects skulls so keep her in mind if you run across one.

Walked in this bar and really wanted to love it. The bartender and owner wouldn’t serve us because the alcohol police were in her bar. So we patiently waited. And waited. For about 30 minutes. Not sure why we couldn’t be served while they were there …

Celebrated an anniversary at the Hotel Gibbs and found this bar. The bartenders were so friendly and attentive! The jukebox has a great selection. There’s an adorable bar cat lounging around and the drink prices were very affordable.

Ignored walking in and did not get served until we flagged down the bartender and some old lady come from behind asking what we want. This lady served us and walked away not saying a thing. Don't come here terrible service!

My experience at the texas t where do i start I've been coming here for the past 20 years amazing overall experience but what i can say is the coldest an cheapest for the downtown area live you adela an terri.

Very clean and friendly local spot I believe it's one of the oldest pubs and the downtown area it's friendly they got a pool tables they got TVs to see sports and the people that are there are awesome

A place to drink. Not much more. Well, they do have pool and a jukebox and tv's but people come here for the inexpensive drinks. I like the low key atmosphere. Cash only, pay as you go. No tabs

Texas T Pub is a nice place to go to unwind and have a drink. People are friendly and tend to mind their own. Everytime I've been there, there hasn't been a large crowd. I recommend this place.
