We were there on a quiet Saturday, storm blowing outside but got a lovely welcome and very tasty food, it was cosy and warm. I know that especially on rugby match days the 51 provides a completely different type of atmosphere and gets very busy. Plenty of seating as it's quite large but still has a comfy feel

Great bar for a few beers and also does great food! Close proximity to the Aviva makes it my very handy for post / pre match pints. Nice smoking area and always a bit of craic. Also plenty of screens to watch the match if don't have a ticket. I'd recommend the Carvery to anyone.

I really like this bar, not-so-crowded, family sports bar, it’s located not so far from the city, just about to filter out the obnoxious crowd. If you are looking for a nice place to talk, drink and have some good, really good food, go here ! Also shows all live matches

Love the carvery here. So fresh and you can tell a lot of effort and quality goes into it. Also have drank here a few times as I work close by and I really like it. Good staff and atmosphere, will do table service for drinks. They have a upstairs garden area too.

Great pub with a lovely atmosphere , unfortunately I was there with an extremely drunk colleague making a show of himself and a Brasilian gentleman who was well on the way towards the last station on the Pint Express, otherwise lovely time would go again.

Visited for Sunday lunch on a weekend trip to Dublin. Sunday is Carvery day, although there are a few other dishes like chicken curry available upon request. The bar itself is simple in decor, with plenty of seating and a covered outdoor

Well done to the staff for making our night there recently so good. Friendly, efficient and visited our table regularly to ensure we weren't left hanging during the alloted time. Fish and chips was excellent and Guinness was just as good!

Lovely old style pub, lots of tables good experienced and young staff. I had the topside of beef carvery style it was hot and tasty and good value. Cabbage was great. Staff were very helpful especially Jane from Bolivia whose living here

Great location, busy but good on street parking. Went there for some lunch after a meeting nearby. Not crowded, plenty of discreet tables for quiet chat, really nice carvery, certainly among the better ones in Dublin. Very friendly and

If you are looking for a place to enjoy a delicious carvery meal, a wide range of draft beers, and a lively sports atmosphere, then the 51 bar in Dublin is the place for you. This pub is one of the largest in the city, with plenty of

Rude staff, chip on shoulder is how I would put it. Will never go back. I used to go allot with EBS back in the day, but honestly was grossly disappointed, it was like the servers were doing us a massive favour by getting us a seat

  • Paul Tierney

Lovely pub to go to on match days. Always a warm and friendly pub with lovely beverages to be had. If you are a smoker.....then quit... Only joking they have an outdoor place for you...... But seriously think about quitting

Was out for a Sunday walk along the Grand Canal and came across this lovely bar. Staff are very friendly, they offer great value in wholesome food and have a great selection of Irish whiskey! Well worth a visit. More

Nice vibe at the place. Local bar that shows sports. They do serve Guinness 0.0 unlike a few other places I visited recently. Quiet on weekdays, and would be good for big gatherings like our badminton club

Great spot to meet for a rugby International. Big bar. Lots of TV screens. The Aviva Stadium is nearby but people without tickets still got the atmosphere of the day watching the event at the bar.

  • Niamh Ryan

Hearty carvery food. I always like to get a roast dinner sandwich- turkey, ham, stuffing, gravy all between two slices of white bread. Staff are always friendly and the prices are reasonable.

  • Oleksii Bekh

Excellent food (we ordered two burgers) and great beer. Hugely recommend the spanish beer they endorse - great summer lager which goes well with a sunny day! Usually very quiet and low-key.

  • Kanoknat Jeerrasirisin

One of the best pub in Ballsbridge. Staffs were friendly, reasonable price to get drunk. Close to Aviva stadium and google office. We had chicken burger, hot franks wings and steak.

Enjoyed friday night pints with pals here. Friendly vibe, bot too noisy, easy to chat. Grabbed some bar food and it was the perfect accompaniment to the always lovely 5lamps lager

Some retired staff and friends have a session upstairs once a month. It's not a fussy place, staff are efficient and helpful and all the facilities are well maintained. More

DJ’d here for a private function. Parking was a bit of a nightmare as the area was busy. Function room is upstairs, it’s spacious. Would recommend this venue for a party.

A miracle that nobody was crushed or injured during the 6 Nations game today. Crowd control was abysmal, no stewarding, and it was utter mayhem. Will never go back

Carvery on a Sunday was great value and tasty. Didn't know there was a beer garden on the roof extra bonus on a sunny day .Will be back with the family. More
