"It was my first time at The Bakery"
"I come here every day - you simply cannot beat the smell of freshly baked bread (and other goodies) early in the morning"
"Quick and friendly service without the pretentious attitude one sees at many of the other places in the area"
"Thank you so much for letting my Mam and myself sit and have a cup of tea and cake today even though you were just closing"
"Simple and a bit rustic and good: 8"
It was my first time at The Bakery. The window display was well organised and all the baked goods looked fresh and delicious. Wide selection of the sweet pastries, cream cakes, as well as warm savoury pastries. I went in just for the mince pies but ended up getting 11 different cakes and pastries to take home. I’ve got two sausage rolls, a Cornish pasty, two eclairs, plain and chocolate croissant, Dublin’s Gur Cake, couple mince pies and a quiche Lorraine. The total was €22,30 which was pretty good. The high of The Bakery was the quiche. Fresh and still warm and perfectly balanced of leek and bacon in a lovely thin pastry shell, delicious. I will return to try some other pastries as well as their sandwiches made with freshly baked bread. Highly recommend.
I come here every day - you simply cannot beat the smell of freshly baked bread (and other goodies) early in the morning. Its a family-run business and they take great pride in everything they produce. The staff are super friendly and their sandwiches are HUGE thick crusty breads filled with whatever you want. They never skimp on quantity and everything is soooo FRESH !!! I get a different type of freshly-baked bread every day and vary the fillings - what a great way to start the day !!! They also have seating, so its either take-away or eat-in. Be warned, at lunch hour, they have long queues ... but its worth waiting for !
Quick and friendly service without the pretentious attitude one sees at many of the other places in the area. Good prices and good food. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is the bread was stale on one end. I couldn't even eat it. I gave it to the pigeons. I bake my own bread at home. I love to bake. It didn't seem over baked, it seemed more like I had been served old bread. I'd still go back because other than a bit stale at one end the sandwich was great and I love a good sandwich. It was huge. I ate hours ago and I'm still full and I didn't even eat it all. The pigeons got part of it.
Thank you so much for letting my Mam and myself sit and have a cup of tea and cake today even though you were just closing. Mam loved her apple struddle, according to her it was the nicest cake ever! My custard slice was divine. Salt of the earth Dubs who really make you feel welcome and seem to know all their repeat customers by name. Love ❤️ this place.
Simple and a bit rustic and good: 8.5/10 recommended. No need to hi end decorations when the product is good and it's served by nice people. Entering this bakery, it's a bit like going in a time capsule. One of those simple bakeries of past times unfortunately now overtaken by bars and glamorous patisseries.

We went there every morning for breakfast during our stay in Dublin. Really good croissant (and we are French, so you can trust us on croissants), lovely employees, good hot drinks and fair prices. We also tasted their wraps and sandwiches which were really good too. We definitely recommend it !
If you are around Temple Bar you SHOULD pop in for a nice fresh cup of tea/coffee and a lovely & tasty pastry or a sandwich if you wish. Great selection of sweet and savory food they never disappoint, everything is very tasteful and they are awesome people. My favourite bakery in Dublin ❤ …
Was picking up a sandwich for lunch and with only 3 people in store my order of: Tomato Bread with butter, chicken, bacon and cheese turned into: White Bread with mayo, chicken, bacon and lettuce. Very disappointed when I got back to work to eat this and found they got it so wrong
Great snack food for those in a hurry. The turnover sandwiches from bread baked on the premises go beyond 'snack' . They should be more widely known and appreciated. Freshly baked pies and sweet cakes of all kinds also await. To top it all, fantastic value and very friendly staff.
Agressive but friendly. Big portions for the low price and decent quality. Went for wrap and bagel. Wrap is big for just 6€ Near centre of Dublin

Fantastic sandwiches at unbeatable prices. They are portioned generously. You do need to know what you want since there isn't a selection of pre-determined sandwiches. The bread is baked fresh in-house. Their pastries and cakes are unbelievable too.
This place is awesome, the staff is very nice and the food is always fresh and yummy. We went to Dublin for vacation and had breakfast there every single day. The carrot cake is the best carrot cake I ever had, not even new York can compare...
A hidden gem, the friendliest of staff and bread and cakes to die for. Couldn’t believe the value, a massive sandwich and cake for €7, no wonder there was a queue but don’t let that put you off moved very quickly. Really worth a visit
This is a gem of the Temple Bar. The staff are very friendly, the food is fresh and tastes delicious, there is always a small queue of hungry visitors :) I really like the almond muffins and the wraps, both were very filling.
Lovely Bakery good fresh baked goods and cakes got my self a big sambo and coffee for a grate price's in the temple bar area not to mention the great atmosphere with the staff great bunch of lads keep up the good work …
Even in the tourist spot of town this gem is a great stop if you’re exploring the area. Delicious and fresh baked goods, with good portions and very reasonably priced..not to mention very friendly staff. Highly recommend
We stumbled upon this wonderful bakery. The atmosphere is great the food is just as good but we loved it for the staff who were friendly and extremely welcoming. Order your lunch the day before you won't be disappointed.
The best carrot cake in Dublin, but the pastry offer with flapjack, merengues, brownies, chocolate cake, and coffee or hoy chocolate in heart of Dublin between Temple Bar and Christ Church. You have to go! The best!
Was out for a quick bite with my son and stumbled upon this place by chance. A rare find for temple bar as the food grub is great, the service is professional and the value for money is spot on. We'll be back …
The guys in there are absolutely the soundest. Their product is one of the best in the city, especially the sausage rolls. Support the little guys - visit highly recommended... hi Christy Matt & Celine …
This bakery is a gem! Traditional Irish bakery, the bread is stunning. Very good value lunch deals - sandwich and cake for €5.50 or Soup and Sambo for €7. Kicking myself it's taken this long to discover it.
What a fantastic place to visit and take time out! They have really nice fresh bread and pastries with tea and coffee to chill out too.the staff are also really nice and helpful! Highly recommend …
Great custom made sandwiches for the price, and very good service. Made to feel welcome upon entering and care taken to confirm ingredients desired in sandwich. Plenty of seating options inside and outside.
The best sausage rolls in Dublin by far. Friendly staff . Clean shop. Very old school bakery feel from the place. Cream cakes very fresh . Again the staff are very helpful and friendly.
You won't get better sumptuous cakes to die for and selections of fresh bread, the two guys behind the counter are Dublin charm at its best, get there early as they tend to sell out
Hidden gem. Lovely bakery with lovely people. Delicious sandwiches and yummy cakes. Staff are kind and suggested us to try the most amazing custard cake. Coffee is great too.
Café inside or across the street. Really homemade bread, cakes ++ on location. Delicios and very decent prices. Place to go again and again …
First time in The Bakery and I'll be back. Reasonably priced delicious buns all fresh and the baking is all going on in the background. Loved it!
I went for a tea and water. Unfortunately after 20 mins they told me I need to stand up and leave because they need the table for someone else
Wonderful! We had a cappuccino and hot chocolate. Delicious! Owner is very friendly. If it wasn't our last day in Dublin, we would come back
The best Sausage Rolls in Dublin, by a long shot. Forget the overpriced fake gourmet sold elsewhere, these are the business at €1.65
