This is school is awful. They took out the art classes because the teacher retired. WE are waiting to see if they are taking out music classes because the music teacher retired at the end of the 2011-2012 school year. The kids don't actually learn anything unless it is to take and pass the state test, which was barely passed. If you ask any third or fourth grader, what is geography they don't have a clue. They don't know where any of the states are much less the capital's of the states. The school menu is awful. They never ever follow the menu posted on the board of ed's site. They say they serve healthy hot lunch. Can you please tell me on what planet nachos, chicken nuggets and mozerella sticks are a healthy lunch? If you call the principal and confront her with anything she says" Call the Chancellor" and hangs up on you. When suggestions are made on small improvements that will help the school the parent/teacher coordinator yes's you to death but sits in her broom closet of an office and does nothing about them. The nurse will call you to pick up your child for a fever when the child is perfectly fine. The nurse can not tell the difference between lice and dandruff. One time she called someone to pick up their child because he had a fever. When the parent got to the school, their child had lost a tooth and had no fever. When my daughter fell down and the nurse called to report the incident she kept insisting my child was a he. I had to ask if my daughter was standing in front of her. If there is any way you can avoid going to this school by all means DO NOT GO!!!!
