Made a random visit here while on my lunch break at work. I was recently inspired to buy Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, so I googled book shops nearby. I walked in and asked if they might have what I was looking for, and the guy at the desk pointed me to its exact location, then politely checking if I l had found it. The price was fair, maybe £1 more than amazon, but that's without delivery! The shop was cool and quirky, characterful. Would recommend at least popping in if you're passing and enjoy reading.

Gorgeous cosy treasure trove of excellent books. From the lovely window, you might suspect they only choose books on the basis of beautiful covers but I've bought quite a few here and can vouch for their quality, too. The staff are brilliant and have an amazing ability to always recommend something suitable, whether it's for someone small (they have a large children's section) or big. The bookshop also stocks several freebie literary magazines, too.

We’ve used this bookstore for a few years now. Their non-fiction section is great. And they have a lovely selection of Children’s books as well. I haven’t checked out their fiction section yet, but based on the other two, it’s probably good as well. They will also order anything you need and have it ready for collection within a day or two. Staff have been consistently friendly, and respond promptly to emails. I can highly recommend this shop.

One of the best bookshops in town. There is always something good on the shelves and the staples of philosophy are all there: Arendt, Freud, Sartre, Said etc. If there is anything missing, the staff would be more than happy to order it in for you. I have always preferred buying books from a physical shop than ordering it off the internet. You can’t replace that warm feeling of meeting local business owners and forming a relationship.

I walked in the door, said 'hello' to the woman at the front desk, and I was blanked, which was a bit awkward. The other two members of staff seemed perfectly pleasant. The philosophy section had all the hits and more. It was nice to see a good selection of NYRB books in a smaller bookshop; they're pricey but they publish hard to find books, and that's hardly Broadway's fault. I'd go back.

I love this book shop. Great range of books for everyone...there is even a wee kids and young adults book den under the stairs. One of my favourite things about this shop is the travel section. Not only do you find travel guides but there are also novels and other books that are set in the travel locations. Definitely reccommend a visit.

Very cool collection of everything from memoirs to novels to manifestos to coffee table books. They don't have a ton of titles so this is more of a place to discover something new. You can just tell that it's all carefully selected and arranged for the perfect browsing experience.

This place is really quaint and relaxing to visit. Interesting selection of books and staff are very helpful at the same time leave you to your own devices. I always end up buying about 5 books even when I’m looking for something specific! Def recommend :-)

A delightful gem to be found tucked within Broadway Market. It seems tiny from the outside, but upon entry you realise it's actually a Tardis, with an impressive selection of fiction and non-fiction, as well as children's books (if that's your thing).

Very nice bookshop. I was there for several times and always had a huge amount of books to choose. The seller was nice and helped me to find a book. I advise everyone to visit this bookshop:)

  • Nice Henners

A great little bookshop packing all the new and classic big hitters. Should you choose to purchase a book they give you a nice little book mark. It can get quite busy in here.

  • David Pyott

Fantastic book shop with books that celebrate the underground. With titles that illuminate important music and art movement's that still resonate today.
