I placed an order on 12 March 2023, order number 18757 for the delivery of food. We paid R530. The food was not delivered and on 14 March we sent an email to enquire what happened. The same day Donovan sent an email saying they did sent us an email saying that they do not deliver in Somerset West (we did not receive the email). We requested a refund. Donovan then requested our banking details which was provided. Phoned Donovan to follow up on the refund. He apologized and requested that I sent the banking details to a certain cellphone number and that the money will be refunded within 15 minutes. Wednesday 29 March we WhatsApp him saying nothing has been received. Friday 31 March we requested the owners details but no further communication was received. Perhaps the company has closed down - PLEASE BE CAREFUL Update - 24 May 2023, still no refund received

We decided to give Chef's Bag a change in providing our daily meals as both myself and my husband have a hectic lifestyle. The first meal last evening was great and we both thought "wow" we made the right decision. But to our disappointment the beef schnitzel that was on tonight's menu was absolutely disgusting. A very thin dry piece of beef that was more like a shoe sole smothered in oily crumbs was absolutely unediable. The accompanying rice and veggies were also soggy and totally overcooked. So now my question is "was this the right choice"?

We've been Chef's Bag customers for about 7 months now and we love it! The food is always delicious, the drivers are super friendly and always arrive around the same time every day - super reliable. If there is ever an issue with your order, the support staff are also very friendly and efficient. The portion sizes are great (I even have enough left over for lunch the next day!) There is always a really nice variety of meals each week. The Friday dessert is an awesome little extra ;) Thank you so much, Chef's Bag team.

We love the menu variety, the homestyle food, the convenience, the huge portions (always have leftovers) and the personal assistance when I've needed to change delivery address last minute. Please be careful not to pay any money into this company’s bank account. They don’t refund! We placed an order in Feb 2023 and paid R780, we received an email saying they don’t deliver in Somerset West. We requested a refund and gave our banking details. We followed up via email a couple of times but to date we haven’t revived any response.

We were quite excited to try “The Chef’s Bag”, but to our disappointment. The menu combinations are great but the execution and overall quality is not what we expected. I believe the food lacks the fine touch. We got the feeling its a volume game which reduces the overall quality and affects the taste

I was recommended by a friend to use this place.I recently gave birth and thought to make life easy I will order for the week of 21Sep - 25Sep.The driver never pitched today with my meal.I have spoken to a Franklin and was told he will get back to me and I am still waiting.

We have been using Chefs Bag for 2 weeks now and are yet to be disappointed. My two year old cannot get enough of their food and ends up stealing from us. Not only is it super convenient but delicious as well. Thank you chefs bag, keep up the great work!

Placed an order on 14 July and made payment. 1 Aug and still have not received anything. Checked inbox and spam folders to see if they sent any updates - nothing but my order confirmation.
