Our visit to the little American coffee shop was great met up with some friends to have breakfast here after reading some reviews, and we had a good time. We got seated at a table that was too small, so we were able to move to a bigger table. It took a little longer than regular wait times to get our food, but not too bad. I ordered two eggs with their "cottage-fried" potatoes and a biscuit and it was very filling. My husband got the poached eggs with Holondaise (however you spell it) sauce and he enjoyed them. My friends got the Southwest Omelet and the French Toast and they enjoyed their meals. It took awhile to get our checks and even longer to pay, which is where the 4 stars comes from. That and the price. This place is two $$, which is accurate. The average plate is around $10.99 and above. I don't think that price is reflective of the food in comparison to other breakfast places. Definitely worth a try here, and I imagine lunch/dinner is great from the reviews I've read.

This coffee shop is one of our favorite gotos for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Food is nothing super ordinary but they are done right and comes hot with clean and appetizing presentation. The ambience is really nice for a good conversation with family/friends. The place is of course very clean and well maintained since it is one of the restaurants in the hotel. Bottomless coffee of course. They're menu is simple and not complicated and you can even request on how your food is done if you have particular preferences in the way your food is prepared. Crews are friendly and respectful. And if you are parked in the hotel parking garage, you can also have your parking ticket validated. Like I said, this is one of our gotos so will always come back for their food, service and ambience. Always satisfied with the experience. Good job Little America and the crews.

I'd been meaning to come now the new executive has had time to make things his own. Not new to the restaurant, but new as executive chef. Plus, it's the only place to get liver and onions you can trust. We ate between 11 and 12 so both the breakfast and dinner menus were available. I had the French dip, and another had the eggs benedict. It was all very good. The eggs were nailed on the eggs benedict. My wife loved the liver. Although, generally our server, who had been around a long time, was very nice, efficient and on top of things. Generally. There was enough times we were ignored, despite seeing her behind the counter not busy, it was somewhat frustrating. Despite that, it was a great meal and experience.

The vibe here is so perfect, elegant but still a diner feel. Came for breakfast and loved it so much we came back for dinner the same day. Dinner was somehow even better. Service was also stellar, wish I could come back but we live out of state . We highly recommend: The Eggs Benedict, Hot Chocolate, and any of the complete dinners but especially the Wagyu Prime Medallions. Complete dinners come with a choice of soup or salad (salad is great with vinaigrette dressing option), a complimentary dinner roll, and ice cream (served in cute metal cups). There wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like and it’s easily within walking distance for most of SLC - close to Pioneer Park and really safe streets for an evening stroll.

We are regular Customers & Little America was Our Favorite Restaurants. I am not sure if they are under new management or having Staffing, or scheduling issues but Service, Food, is substandard. We were seated in the Far East Corner Table Facing the Grand after waiting 20 minutes to be seated, it was as if we were forgotten. Extremely Slow Service. The Food was Cold, Hot RB Sandwich the Roast had a lot of grissel, the Brown Gravy was thick & lumpy, Salmon Sandwich was not good. Multiple People had difficulty with the reader of Parking tickets. Reader problem.

Amazing and delicious food! Server wasn’t super friendly and didn’t come around to top off our water (pet peeve of mine) but overall a wonderful experience with fantastic food! Slightly squishy seating but I’ve experienced worse so it wasn’t a big deal. They said the wait would be 1.5-2 hours and it was actually 25 so that was a wonderful surprise. The hot chocolate is the best I’ve had in the states! It was as good as what I’ve had in Belgium and the Netherlands! I was in awe! Worth a trip just for that!

Great spot for grub! Long wait on Holidays but one of the few where you will get awesome food at reasonable prices (considering everyone else is closed.) As long as you have the patience, dining here is wonderful. Crisp salad with perfect dressings, always served on the side. Dinner consist of full course meals, soup or salad, entree, potato, vegetables, rolls, and ice cream for dessert and everything else is prepared as much to precision. It really is a best deal on days everyone has rolled up and is staying home with their own families. Bless these people for being there for the rest of us! P.S. Decorations are also really hard to beat!

The food here was great and the atmosphere was so fun. It is retro and modern and yet it works well. It was a little words on the menu though: I asked if I could substitute regular today for french toast and was told no. I would be happy to pay extra for this option. Our server said he wished this would change too. I ordered an omelet instead which was still great but I do love my French toast. I need to go back and try the other things they have for lunch and dinner. I also want to sit at the bar. It is easily the highlight of the place.

Delicious, friendly, clean! Great service and amazing food. Better than Laurel across the street, if I’m honest! Good, hearty food that feels home cooked. Simple menu. Perfect little restaurant! Like something out of a book. Just lovely all around! Also- 10/10 ceasar salad!! Great dressing. Crips lettuce. And the chicken on top was perfect! Felt fresh and not sketchy like some salad chicken can be. Definitely recommend! Take your family here! Very family friendly and homey. I will definitely be back soon!

Such a lovely experience in a wonderful location. I wasn’t as thrilled with the food as most. I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken which was a good size, but not a traditional Caesar salad by any means. No anchovies, no coddled egg olive oil homemade dressing. The dressing I had actually tasted as if it came from a jar. It wasn’t worth the price. The view, the ambiance, and the service definitely made up for it. I didn’t notice they offered cocktails with brunch, if they would it would be that much better. All in all I will definitely go back and try another dish.

We wanted to try another breakfast place during our Little America stay, but when everywhere had a wait over an hour we decided to try the Coffee Shop. They got us in so quickly. The outside tables were by the fountains and were well shaded. Both of us got the Chuck Wagon breakfast (one with bacon, one with sausage). I would recommend sticking with bacon as the sausage was just fine. Everything else was absolutely delicious and filling. We couldn't even finish our pancakes! We will be returning or ordering room service from here when we do another getaway very soon!

A great place to have dinner. I was exhausted after my flight and went down here not expecting a lot but I was surprised. For $25, you can get a three course meal with a salad/soup, a main and a dessert. I had the halibut dinner and it was delicious. Not everyone who cooks fish can do it justice but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. There were a lot of choices for ice cream as well! A nice end to a good dinner. The servers were nice and attentive, I was seated quickly and got great service. Would recommend for a nice homely dinner.

Ordered room service instead of uber eats for two reasons. 1. Speed. 2. Freshness of food. 3. The luxury of eating with a real plate and fork. This is the first room service I've ever ordered that brought me everything packaged like a to go order. I don't know if this is a one-off or not but it was disappointing. My food was mediocre at best and might have been more enjoyable if it had been warm. I expected more out of a hotel of this caliber.

Delicious, French toast was light & sweet. Potatoes crispy and well seasoned. All American breakfast combo was all fresh and good portions. Diner feel, but high star rated restaurant quality food. Had no wait & quick service. All the waiters seemed friendly. Love the design using the history of the restaurant as decor.

You park past the arms and get a ticket when you go through to park. They will validate it when you pay your bill. Food was good, the french toast was larger than expected but good. Eggs cooked exactly the way I asked. No complaints out of the service as it was good. Very courteous This is located in the bottom of a hotel on the other side of lobby towards the right.

I got the greek chopped salad, a $22 salad. All my lettuce was browning and wilted, and upon opening my container I found a long black hair, lovely. Lost my appetite the second I saw the hair and the inedible lettuce. They also added radish which was not on the menu, along with unseasoned cold chicken, not the basil marinated chicken. Extremely disappointed.

Oh it was delicious! I had The American there and the potatoes were so seasoned well! Also, they have think bacon. The coffee it's always good here and they offer milk for creamer. My boyfriend had The Chuck Wagon and the French toast is literally french toast slices :P I tasted his ham slice and it was very juicy! The ham didn't have a extreme salty taste for being pork. Also, my boyfriend had two glasses of Orange Juice. I tried it and it was really good! Always nice to eat here :D

Great little Cafe. Staff polite and professional. There may have been some long stay guests or regulars that had a real rapport with staff. Food was reasonable priced, and food looked and tasted as I'd hoped. I had the Club Sandwich. It is always my go-to order at a new place. I would order it again.

Overpriced small portions on their dinners. Left feeling just as hungry as when I started my meal. Only good thing about meal was the great soft dinner rolls & ice cream dessert included. But I'd recommend they set the butter out to soften a little before serving to table. It was so cold had to hold it in hand forever to get soft enough to spread.

Waited half an hour to be seated, and another half an hour at our table. No server came even after us trying to flat one down, and so we left. Completely ridiculous and a terrible way to treat a paying customer. Especially when you’re paying $25 for pancakes and eggs. So disappointed as we heard this place was good. We will take our business elsewhere where we are treated as valued customers.

Lack of attention to detail and honesty on the menu. Restaurant specifically advertises Maple syrup on the menu and they do not serve or stock it. Other food items were of good quality. I specifically chose this location over others due to the maple syrup they advertised and was sorely let down. If you enjoy Table syrup the meal was otherwise of good quality.

The prices seem a little steep when looking at the menu, but the portions are positively huge - the pieces of french toast were probably at least an inch and a half thick. Even better, you got a solid amount of remarkably tasty food - good quality components with thoughtful seasonings. The aesthetic call-back to the coffee shops of old with the classic diner bar was a nice touch as well. The place seemed popular with locals, despite being a hotel restaurant.

  • Darin Johnson

I have been coming here for 20+ years. Generally speaking I have had good experiences with quality food. My last visit was disappointing. Our server was young and obviously overwhelmed. They brought out tea that was luke warm at best. Food quality was not as good as previous visits. I hope this was an anomaly but you pay good money to eat here and expect it to be a crafted, quality driven experience.

We've been here a lot and it is consistently good. Mostly comfort food here and everything's is pretty big. Breakfast menu is my favorite and they do it well. Self parking is easy enough and is validated. Valet parking is available if you'd prefer that, but I don't know the cost for that service. From what I can see, it appears to be very accessible for those with special mobility requirements.

Great atmosphere and great views of the city from street level. I had the Little America Burger that had Swiss cheese, onions, and mushrooms. It was very good, and you can really taste the difference in the wagyu beef patty. Our server, Patty, was so sweet. She overheard my daughter say it was my wife’s birthday, and Patty brought out a cake just before we were about to leave perfect timing nice little surprise.

My first experience at The Coffee Shop at Little America Hotel was exceptional. Visited for Sunday brunch and was seated promptly next to a window with a great view. The traditional decor and atmosphere is very pleasant. The Coffee was splendid and the cuisine was excellent. I got the eggs benedict and it was among the best I have ever had. The Coffee Shop is an instant tradition.

Have eaten here many times. My avocado toast was awful, tasteless, plain, and $8.00. I could have had a side of toast and coffee and had a better breakfast. And the biscuits and gravy were, well, not sure how they could have been so bad.

Beautiful and delicious cafeteria like restaurant. Cute vintage bar and comfortable seats. A good variety of options for sandwiches, salads, snacks, meals, desserts and drinks. I had a club sandwich w fries and a coffee latte w hazelnut flavor. I will also say that the dishes were big, I only ate the half. It was good. And coffee was delicious.

This is much more then a coffee shop. It is a nice restaurant in a beautiful hotel. Service was good. Food was exceptional. Pancakes were light and fluffy, bacon crisp, over medium eggs cooked perfectly. Breakfast burrito was well stuffed. It came with home fries, salsa and sour cream. Eat here if you get the opportunity.
