I visited the Tygervalley Crazy Store and the item I intended on buying had a red SALE sticker on the item that indicated a greatly reduced price - which is not unusual as there are many retailers marking down shop-soiled, slightly damaged or old stock. I approached the till and the employee indicated that this was an error, checked the original shelf price, removed the sticker and declined my insistence that I receive the item at the lower. Sale stickers do not indicate the name of the item on which it is placed. It only shows the price. I accept that it may have been an error but I informed the employee that they still are obligated to offer the item at the lower price as per the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) is specific on what needs to happen if more than one price is concurrently displayed on an item. I explained this to the employee but she outright refused and after 'going to the back' to call the area manager, she said he also declined to give the item at the lower offer. I requested to speak to the area manager but she dismissed me by saying he was unavailable and there was no store manager present. Area manager calls me a few days later, telling me the same thing, they cannot give me the item at the reduced price (ignoring the fact that the CPA says otherwise). This retailer is risking their compliance to the law over a R200 difference. Disappointed...

Shop UL 532A, Tygervalley Shopping Centre, Cnr Willie van Schoor and Bill Bezuidenhout Str, Bellville. It was my first visit to this Crazy Store today and I am very happy with the service I received. The shop is so well organised and this made my chore of finding a few items so much easier. I was looking for space-saving containers to organise my fridge and the boot of my car and got so much more than I intended. I ended up buying some beautiful things and I’m very happy with my purchases. The staff were very helpful and the one lady showed me alternatives when I couldn’t find something I was looking for. I was really impressed by the service I received at the Tygervalley branch. I called to check stock availability and was assisted by Jermay. She was friendly and professional. There was no stock available but she quickly offered to try to locate the items for me and call me back . I was so surprised when I received a call back not long after, with her giving me feedback. Jermay(apologies If I got the spelling wrong) you are awesome and work well with clients. Thank you.

Do not buy VOI antibacterial wet wipes, potential health hazard. It ate the plastic on my TV and the packaging indicates safe for use on babies. The Crazy Store and Voi ignored my concerns and told me that I used their wipes incorrectly (that it is only for use on skin).
