Been twice now, and will be going again, but u guys seriously got to sort the menu out. No vegetarian or fish options apart from quorn or fish n chips. We was sat in the ‘dining area’ and all I could hear was a very loud radio and the constant noise of the door to the kitchen being opened, it was like being in a greasy spoon, not the ambience u want when u go out for a nice meal. I get u guys are new to this, but u need to iron out these problems or risk losing regular customers. I now phone ahead to see what u have on the menu, and I will avoid sitting to the rear bar so as not to listen to the constant noise of the door to the kitchen being opened and loud radio. Twice now we have ended going to an alternative venues because of these issues. May not sound much, but looking at the comments, I’m not alone. Also the high chair/tables are not good for diners. I spoke to a family who also said the same thing who were sat to the rear where there is normal sized furniture, but also the noises mentioned above. On a positive note. This is the best pub in the Orpington area. You guys have done an excellent refurbishment of the Cricketers, and we definitely be going to this fine pub on a regular basis, albeit when u have sorted the menu.

This little gem was an amazing find Hosted a Baby Shower here on Saturday and cannot express how accommodating The staff were. Dan was very flexible and encouraged us to decorate, provide a playlist that he played through the function room sound system, he allowed us to go in early before the booking to decorate too. There is plenty room for a sit down occasion or a full disco/dj party. A back door leads out to the garden and a separate area too. The room has plenty of sockets and a bar, buffet food is an option too. Had an amazing time and everyone complimented on the venue and how quaint, country-feel yet quirky it was. Perfect, Thank you !

Very very friendly stuff and nice atmosphere. And it was great that they have proper cutlery , including a baby size sauce jar for children. Clearly they have put lots thoughts into making the place family friendly. However, the food is unfortunately not great and price is high for what you get. The lamb for my roast meal is cold when served, the roasted vegetables are not crispy. The dessert is overcooked and dry which I couldn’t finish. You can get much better and quality meal for similar price in a couple of other restaurants on the high street. Such a shame as the staff are wonderful but the food is a let down.

We recently visited the Cricketers for Sunday lunch for a family birthday. The pub is warm, welcoming and the staff were very friendly. We all had roast dinners but with different meat choices and everyone really enjoyed their food. The deserts were very nice too. We didn’t have to wait long for our food which was great as we had a baby, young children and a dog with us. The drink selection was really good and can recommend the Pinot Noir! We will return again soon.

This pub has definitely improved. Great indoor and outdoor space, with lots of seating, plenty of choices for drinks. The food is fine - definitely not bad but this is not a gastro pub, but reasonably priced standard pub grub. Lord of choices for kids. Very near Orpington high street and by a nice little green, great local spot.

Nice cozy back street pub with friendly staff. Nice selection of largers/ales, wines and spirits. Food is pretty good but could be a bit more inspiring as alot of competitin with modern day pubs now. Chislehurst pubs are better! Back garden will be good for the summer but could do with modernisation. Toilets are lovely and clean and modern.

Great little 'local' pub, by which I mean it has all the positives of a community pub but it welcoming to everyone. Good selection of drinks all served with a definite smile and a warm welcome and at reasonable prices. Sunday Roast is absolutely exceptional, delicious and big portions. Staff and customers always seem happy to be there.

Fantastic pub, friendly staff, great location, what’s not to like? Booked here to host a 30th Birthday and they were more than happy to accommodate every request. Fantastic night and would not hesitate to host it here again. Dan and the whole team are brill, check it out you won’t be disappointed. 10/10.

This pub is situated a short walk from Orpington High Street on a quite residential street and was established in the mid to late 1800's. It has character, the owner/staff are very friendly. A decent selection of Ales and live sporting events are shown on a decent sized screen. Sadly no food served.

  • Paul Hopkins

We’ve been here a couple of times now and really enjoyed the whole experience. Sunday roasts are amazing and last time we went on 09/07/2022, it was a beautiful evening with a live singer and we sat outside. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the pub is situated in beautiful surroundings.

First time in The Cricketers felt so welcome. Really pleasantly surprised, my friend has just moved close by so we thought we would give it a try. Had a look at the menu looked impressive, ordered some chips as we weren't that hungry. Went down a treat. Will definitely be back

Well done in investing into this place. Looks so much better and feels better than before. Homely, kind service with a smile. Great food and offers too. Looking forward to more summertime at my local dog friendly pub. Worth a visit if looking for something quaint and special.

Traditional English pub, great atmosphere, good selection of real ales that are regularly changed, good crowd get in there, fantastic garden for the summer and play areas for the kids. Also has a jukebox, a fruit machine and a dartboard.

Appears to be closed at the moment. Inside there seems to be a lot of building work going on, so not sure if it will reopen as a pub or as an alternative use. Be good if owners could give an update

  • Shea Thomas

Quality pub, nice atmosphere. Food is on point & the beers flow nicely. Watched a couple of the Euros games in there and it was such a good night each time. Best pub I’ve been to in a long time!
