"Nearly 100 year old iconic American roller coaster that is as thrilling as any modern ride today"
"You have to ride this if you go to Coney Island! It's $10 per ride if you don't buy a wrist band for the day"
"Not one of the best"
"I had never been to Coney island it was a great experience"
"The most famous roller coaster in the world, and it deserves all the love and acclaim it gets"
Nearly 100 year old iconic American roller coaster that is as thrilling as any modern ride today. Definitely has that classic wooden coaster feel, so expect a bumpy ride. Lots of hang time at every drop. The carts look cool and old school, and are adequate comfort. This is an old ride! Enjoy the experience and time machine back to 1927.
You have to ride this if you go to Coney Island! It's $10 per ride if you don't buy a wrist band for the day. It's pretty rough so be prepared to brace yourself! They offer rude photos and merch at the end of the ride. Don't worry if you have bags, they have a free storage facility when you go on the ride.
Not one of the best. Why? Because of safety. The ride and seats are all wooden and old. There were no proper seat belts. I was on top of my friend the whole time. Had a sprained neck and a blood clot trying to hang on. There is the adrenaline rush, but I wouldn't go again because of safety More
I had never been to Coney island it was a great experience. My daughter rode the cyclone and she loved it! The crowd was awesome everyone was having a great time. Alot of places to sit and eat! I will definitely be going back. Get there early if you want to park close!
The most famous roller coaster in the world, and it deserves all the love and acclaim it gets. Despite being an old wooden ride, it is incredibly smooth, with seats that feel like couches. Riding the Cyclone is something everyone should try to do before they die.
Fantastic! Still fantastic and such incredible fun. It still excites all and restores confidence in your ability to scream Take yourself and others to convey Island for this delightfully scary pleasure while enjoying the beach and whole park. …
Was an amazing ride, it's just the staff stink, dude assumed I jumped over and didn't pay and had me wait while everyone went ahead and I was super confused what he was asking, which was if I paid, which of course I did, super embarrassing,
This ride gets a lot of merited hype and even so it’s STILL underrated! I had my doubts, especially with the ticket price, but it was worth every penny and I can’t wait to go back! It’s the absolute best rollercoaster EVER. It’s scary, it’s
This was a bucket list item for me. I brissled at the $10 cost but it was totally worth it. The cars are a little tight for 2 adults but almost everyone can ride. Most older coasters are a good hill, an ok hill and a 30 second ride out to
Wow. Now it's been about 30 years since I've been there. In my teens I'd come see my cousins almost every weekend. We would go to the beach and hang out all day. And then we would go to Coney Island it was literally across the street from
The Cyclone (or just Cyclone??) was my first big rollercoaster that made me comfortable with bigger coasters. It is an old woodie from the early 1900s (not the oldest operating coaster) so it has very comfortable almost couch like seats
A little more intense that anticipated but SO MUCH FUN! Honestly it was worth the $10. I’ve never heard my dad laugh so hard! If you are going to Coney Island, you must do 2 things... Nathan’s hot dog, and the Cyclone. I feel like once
We rode the famous cyclone on a Saturday as part of our Luna Park wrist band package. It was a very fun old school rollercoaster. It is all wood with deep cushioned seats for two. You will slide around in these seats so be prepared to
If you ever have a chance to go to Coney Island and Luna park area, you have to come to the Cyclone. It’s one of the most famous roller coasters in the world and very fun. It’s $10 per ride per person, and you can use the Luna park
The Cyclone is a legend. At almost 100 years old it is a piece of history that is a must ride for locals and tourists alike. Don’t let the age fool you, the old girl’s still got it. From start to finish, it’s a thrilling ride. More
I met these really cool teenagers by the cyclone, they were REALLY nice!! And they are in a choir to, so that’s cool! They let me take a photo of them. Have a VERY good life Ocean, Mischa, Noel, Ricky, Constance, and Penny!!!!
One of the best roller coasters I’ve ever been on. Really fast, lots of drops, and the seats are so cushioned they feel like a couch, which is needed when you get whipped around the turns. AWESOME ROLLER COASTER!!!! More
The Cyclone You are hearing from a roller coster lover Its a great ride sharp turns drops if you like the rides like I do this is a ride for you the first drop you feel the impact that it's going to be a great ride.
I haven't ridden a coaster in years. This was great. I initially didn't want to spend the $10 per person per ride but it was a great experience. Maybe still overpriced but a great experience nonetheless
Classic, wonderful old wooden roller coaster! I love that the wait on the ride was very fast and reasonable. I went on a Saturday afternoon, so I’m not sure if it becomes a much longer wait at night.
I grew up riding the cyclone and to this day the thrill never fails to please. One of the only wooden roller coasters left, and the view is amazing.A must to-do if you’re visiting Brooklyn!
Now you have to pay just to be inside $15. If you want unlimited ride for 4 hours it's $65 . I did like the fact that is less crowded now that they charge just to be inside the park.
Really enjoyed this roller coaster......a lot more than I thought I would. Good airtime on some bits and it's pretty intense. Sit on the back row if you can.....best spot to ride.
The best. Wonderful memories there with my Pop as a child. Love the respect for history, beautiful architecture, & one of a kind fun experience. Kudos for keeping this alive.
Wooden old fashion coaster that’s been here since my family came off the boat from Italy. Gets refurbished after every bad storm and is safe for the most part. More
It's a classic and I would go again when I'm in NYC again, but I would hang on better than the first ride because I hurt my knee on the hinge of the lap bar. More
A wooden roller coaster that opened in 1927. If you are in Coney Island it is a must visit even if it is to see it. 40 minutes by subway from the Manhattan area.
This roller coaster is fun and worth the thrill if you are a thrill seeker. As a first time on the roller coaster, this was a heart stopper for me. But
Excellent ride! A mega classic and a must ride for any visitor! The ride is marked as an "extreme thrill," but, although it was exciting and
Definitely worth a visit, at least for the photo! It was a discovery for me that the old slides are made of boards and metal! More
Kids had a blast. Can buy pictures of their experience. Must be 54" tall to ride. Included with extreme pass to Luna park. More
Awesome, we shouted our lungs out. The wooden rails are the main reason for the thrill, speed and excitement..must try
Almost 100 years old and still rolling! Not the fastest roller coaster but surely one of the coolest and certainly a
My granddaughter loved it! It costs 10.00 to ride . It's Pumpkin Season so lots of photo opportunities as well. More
This was a fun time. Check it out and ride the coasters at your own request. Get a Nathan's and walk the boardwalk.
Fun ride! Alot smoother then I expected, alot of twist and turns! Worth the price of the ticket!

An old photogenic roller coaster. A little bit rough, but full of charm and fun. Cost about $10 to ride.
Groovy visit to this landmarked all-wooden rollercoaster. Off season can be fun, too! $10 a ride.
