TL;DR - Great spot to chill at when you're in Gaslamp, no matter what you're there for (Padres, birthdays, work, etc.)! Staff is wonderful and helpful! (Shoutout to Samantha, Erik, and Selena) Certain nights (Thurs., Fri., Sat., Padres home gamedays) there will/may be a cover from 9pm on, so plan ahead! Full Review: The Deck side of Moonshine Flats is open Padres home gamedays and Thurs. - Sun. It has somewhat of a college backyard party type of look to it, but it's great and I've met all types of people here, which is fun! The music is usually a mix of a little bit of everything, when I've been there. Country, hip-hop, rap, alternative, reggaetón, everything. The food is pretty good when you want/need to munch and the drinks are solid! I personally recommend one of the bucket options, since they're 2-in-1. The menu may be pricey for some, but so is like 3/4 of Gaslamp so I dunno what to tell you. There are also some games there (pool, foosball, cornhole, shuffleboard, bucket pong) and you "rent" them out from the left side bar with a valid ID, so get there a bit early if you wanna play! A few arcade style games too, like a punching machine.
⭐️⭐️ A bucket of 6 beers for $48 and some change. So many customers with no deals at any time. We're waiting at the bar area for some drinks & others walking up getting served before us. We get lucky and find a corner table & waitresses going crazy power walking everywhere just to serve the customers & at that you need to wave at them or get up to tap them on the shoulders to let them know that people at your table want to order. Everytime you pay, waiters pull out their tablets, slide your card with them hovering over you with like 3 different percentages or a custom tip and it's not even time leave but you don't want to leave your tab open. Hope this review is helpful for others before showing up
Went here during Comic-Con ♂️ Weekend STRICTLY to try their Stranger Things themed "Leggo Her Eggo" cocktail. The online photo looked really cute but what I got Presented to me did NOT look like online... And the taste was even worse. Supposed to be a whiskey sour. But tasted like water with alcohol. I put a side by side comparison. Won't be hard to tell which ones the online ad... The food however was amazing. I had the Brisket Fries and it was the best thing I ate that week. THAT had good presentation to it. BUT I came here for the cocktail not the food and for the disappointment I knock 2 stars.

This place was BANANAS lol. As a Canadian visiting America this place was very AMERICA. The huge portions, signs mentioning Jesus, the women’s bathroom that assumed every women who enters is straight with pictures of celeb men on the stalls hahaha. I loved the vibe of this place, I went in the daytime during Comic Con weekend and there is no ceiling and a tree in the middle which is really nice so you can continue enjoying the Sunshine. They had fun and tasty Stranger Things drinks for SDCC weekend and were playing Star Wars on the tv. I think as a tourist in America this place was bonkers and very entertaining.

I absolutely adore this destination for leisure and pre-game festivities. The staff members are incredibly attentive and dedicated to their work. The cuisine offered here is truly top-notch, with Ivan, the pitmaster, skillfully crafting the most mouthwatering brisket. Sports enthusiasts will be delighted by the abundance of TV screens, while adults can indulge in a wide selection of games. Overall, it's an immensely enjoyable establishment that never fails to deliver a fantastic experience.

Staying at the Hard Rock Cafe around the corner, would love to come check it out but I don't know if their kitchen is open or what time they close and I've called like 12 times so... apparently I'm not gonna be checking this place out. Addendum: finally checked the place out, good beer selection and really good food as well as good service. Still would have been nice if someone answered the phone the night before so I could have been here sooner. Will definitely be back when in the area!
Best bar in the Gaslamp District! We had so much fun here, the bartenders are super friendly and so are the customers. We are from out of town and made friends with some San Diegans. The food was amazing, try the bbq chicken salad and the Mac and cheese! We got a bucket of beer and played ring toss which is alot of fun, among Cornhole beer pong, and Jenga! Highly recommended, bring all your friends. Age range was 25-40. Will definitely be back!
Decent bar with plenty of activities like corn hole and shuffle board. Good beer selection. The bar tenders (both times I've been) don't know much about their beers however, and have to look each of them up just to describe what type it is (pilsner, ale, etc). They also serve bbq that isn't bad. My main complaint with this place is their single stall bathroom. It tends to get a line built up.
We tried the brisket basket and the wedge basket. They were both great but the wedge was better. Atmosphere was very good and fun. A few of the staff were friendly but the service was spotty. No one tended our table unless we went and asked them. However it was padres game night so it was understandably busy.

I've been here a few times. Food is always great! The indoor/outdoor is nice except when the sun is right on top of you. Then if you're at those tables in the middle you're melting lol. But it's fun and service is great and food is good too. We got 2 plates of brisket fries for 4 people and had leftovers.

Easy place to meet up before a padre game with a large group. Service can be a bit slow, especially the food so plan ahead and have patience. They were super nice just under staffed

This is my favorite place to go for fun and pre-game shenanigans. The staff are very attentive and hard working. The food is some of the best around. Ivan, the pitmaster makes the best brisket. Lots of TV's for the sports fans. Lots of games for the adults. Very fun place.

Drinks are more expensive here than in Petco park, which is about 2 blocks away. It’s SD, so everyone has money, but if you’re visiting town, this is NOT the place to go. You can go to any other bar in the vicinity and pay about 30% less. It only took one round for us to realize this. The vibe was okay though.
This place was a lot of fun. Lots of activities that were included just needed an ID to use them! Pretty awesome I think. Range of music was played at the deck my friends and I had a great time! Staff was awesome too. Everyone was welcoming and even joined in on some games just to make us laugh
It's a place made for drinking and sports. If you dig those two things you'll have a great time.

Stiff drinks, good food, & great service! Nicole at the bar did an excellent job of quickly ensuring everyone got their drinks while simultaneously making all patrons feel welcomed.
Nice place many games. We played shuffleboard (table is uneven) Corn hole, and large beer pong. We had a good time we will come back again.

Hung around to watch the Bengals vs Chiefs game - overall good environment, we were able to get a table, DJ during the commercials, and the nachos were good!
Amazing experience! Excellent food, beer selection, staff and atmosphere. Simply could not have been better... (I am a local to Atlanta, visiting San Diego)
Open atmosphere bar with great cocktail and beer options! Try the Show Me Your Tatis in a bucket.

Good spot for drinks and the game. Great music later on in the evening and we loved the cocktail buckets.
Great place to relax with a beer. Monday Nights $12 You-Call-It Pitchers made this even better!
