I preface this by saying i have no reference to other children’s museums. This is a terrific museum. And apparently on the first Saturday of the month, we get one admission free if you have certain credit cards like BofA or Merrill Lynch or US trust. So that was awesome. The exhibits are terrific. The ball area upstairs has a series of tubes that should those super lightweight plastic balls (like the ones you would normally find in a ball pit) everywhere. Loads of fun. The outdoor area has these nice places where kids can get in the water in the summer. The Little Town exhibit is always popular with the HEB, Whataburger, frost Bank, airplane, veterinary care, post office, and construction site locations. The kids also enjoyed the huge chalkboard, the robot that mimics you, and programming the robot vehicles. Fun time at a reasonable price!

Super fun! AND super clean. Honestly, I've never seen such a clean kids place. There was a small army of cleaning staff constantly cleaning. I'm not a germophobe, but the level of clean here was noticeable and impressive. I like that there's areas for all ages, even older kids. The Spy Academy is really well done and fun. We didn't go outside much cuz it was too hot but the outside play areas looked fun, and when we did go outside, I appreciated the obviously well planned space that included shade. If I had to make one suggestion, I'd say it might be helpful to have a couple small areas throughout the museum that would be suitable for putting a crawling baby down. There is a lovely baby room on the main floor but that's not super helpful if the older siblings want to go somewhere else. I didn't see anywhere upstairs you could put a baby down.

Covid update: as of March 2022 while the rest of Texas seems to be mask free you DO need a mask at the SEUM, they had some at the counter (which is good if you’re like me and did not have your mask with you any longer). Mask are still required for everyone 10 and up.

(07-06-18) We love this place. Parking is free. Get there early to have the place to your self. We had a great time. There is plenty to do for everyone young and old. Past the cashier's is the restrooms and kids exhibits. There is a giant kaleidoscope! Across the room is an elevator if you can't take the stairs to the second floor. Right next to the stairs is a small snack area to sit, eat and enjoy some drinks. Outside all can enjoy the tree house. A place to play with water. Take a small towel just in case. A play ground is available to wear down your kids. Lol. There is a fish pond with a couple of turtles. That place has a very comfortable feeling. You can sit down and zone out for a bit. Last is a small area to play with dirt. Buckets are available to fill the manual operated dirt equipment. We had a blast. Thank you Doseum.

Enjoyed the experience with my family, so much to experience and not enough time! I was very disappointed with Lorraine Bakery. I went to purchase some macarons and while there were no signs saying it was closed, and the entrance walkway was still available, I made my way through. I stood there for about a minute or so when an older woman walks behind the counter and we make eye contact but she ignores me and proceeds to clean, 2 more people do the same thing. A fourth person makes there way back there talking and I ask of they are closed to which he proceeds to say yes. Literally a 30 second convo would have saved me from looking ridiculous and wasting my time.. Rude customer service is what it comes down to..

On your first visit it seems kind of overwhelming but it's only because there is so much stuff to do you don't know where to start. I really like it because there are so many activities to choose from there are many age groups that can be included in the activities from crawling babies to tweens and as an adult there are some things that you just want to try yourself to be honest. I have a toddler daughter and a 10-year-old son and they both find things to do there. All the staff are friendly, helpful and pleasant. We received passes as a gift and I can't tell you the number of times we've gone on a day there's nothing else to do and it's a lifesaver. I would highly recommend it totally worth it.

This place was great. Only reason I had to give a 4 is because we went when there were multiple field trips so it limited us from exploring all the fun this place had to offer. They did over charge me but they were happy to refund really fast without any trouble. There are many different areas to explore and all kinda fun for all kinda ages. It has a gift shop and a Cafe with indoor and outdoor seating from eating. It has indoor and outdoor activities for the kids. Do note that some of these are water based so dress you kid right or bring extra clothes. Bring your excitement and your patience so that everyone can really enjoy these time at this place.

Such a cool place! We were visiting San Antonio & decided to stop here to burn off kiddo energy and it delivered big time! Tons of different options for different ages and skill sets. They do have a café to get food, and food was decent. And they have a mothers room! It was so handy being able to nurse my daughter in a cozy environment. My only feedback is it’s not super baby friendly play wise. They do have a soft play area but it is super tiny and there are no toys. My 7 month old was bored after a few minutes. But overall it was a super fun way to spend the afternoon and if we lived near by we would definitely be members and go all the time!

We are in San Antonio visiting and today we planned to spend most the afternoon here. We were here for 20 mins. Rude lady handling the Little Town line, and was a 20-30 min wait for that. (needless to say we didn’t go) . Most of the stuff here is run down or broke . I have a 3,10,12 year old. This place is definitely for toddlers. Not older kids. My older boys were ready to go after walking in the building. My 3 year old did have fun at the outside playground and water area. The river water area was dry.. When they say bring a towel and extra clothes, don’t… It’s not that serious. What a waste of $70

We played for almost 3 hours and never even made it upstairs until we needed to head back home to Houston. What a fabulous children's museum. My son was in the Little Town for almost an hour, and we loved the Eric Carle exhibit next to Light and Sound. My family even enjoyed playing outside as the weather was nice for a Texas spring day. The tickets were reasonable, but make sure you pay in person for the teacher or senior discount. Since I paid online, we didn't get the discounts. However, we had such an amazing time, and I drank a really delicious iced coffee from the museum cafe.

Purchased a membership only to show up today and be told we had to pay extra because of the Winterfest event. They should've at least offered a discount to members but they didn't everyone was charged the full price of $22. Capitalism at its finest, this event was definitely not worth $22. The only difference between today and other days was Christmas decor, a snow globe bouncy house for pics & Santa pictures. Santa was only there for a very short time, I was extremely disappointed. I will be very careful in the future and check their website before I visit & only go on days where my membership does count.

The DoSeum was so much more than I had expected. Too many interactive activities to list. My daughter had so much fun. We definitely made some lasting memories there. We will definitely be back again soon! I just wanted to add that the manager at the Doeseum gift shop was very kind and helpful. I bought my daughter a space suit but it ended up being too small. The manager was more than willing to do an exchange even though the packaging looked less than ideal at this point. I felt so bad but I really wanted to leave with something my daughter would enjoy. Wish I would have caught the managers name but I send a big thank you to him for making our experience that much more worth it.

Great museum to take the kids to interact with a variety of subjects from how light and sound/music work to robotics and innovation. There's even a spy area ! There's also a Little Town, which was my favourite. It's a place where the kids can do adult things: shop for groceries, go to the bank, ride a trolley, go through an airport, go to the vet, etc. Very cute ! Outside there's a playground when you want to take a break from all the walking around and watch your kids from the [faux] grassy hill. When we went there was an exhibit going on for The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Very cute ! We didnt visit it but there's also a cafe there if you didnt bring your own snacks / lunch.

  • Golden Horn

Amazing adventure for all ages. Sounds, lights, water, interactive games to stretch one's brain. Staff was super helpful, especially in the Spy area, thanks to Lee, Roxana and Claude. The only reason for 4 stars is that some of the interactives were not working at all. I can only imagine how bashed they get daily. Cafe had hot tea (score!) but were out of veggie wraps. We effortlessly spent 4 hours there with 8 and 13 year olds. Highly recommended, clean and interesting.

We had a great time at the Doseum. All the exhibits were really well thought out and our 5 year old spent a lot of time in each one. It was neat there are both indoor and outdoor areas. We especially loved the town section with the grocery store and transportation…a kid’s dream for pretend play! It was nice they had a nursing room I could use with our baby. My only suggestion would be to put a bigger/comfier chair in there. Would highly recommend this children’s museum!!

This place was absolutely amazing. The staff was very friendly and talk to the kids with a childlike personality is the best way to describe it. Many different rooms and sponsored markets and such for the kids to play in as well as a real Scion iQ for them to play in. And the ballroom and ball drop kept so many kids entertained for hours. My daughter love this place and we will definitely be back again. If we lived closer we would definitely be buying the memberships

This was our first trip to the DoSeum. I would have to agree with the comments expressed by others already. Many things would be nice if they actually worked. Especially something as easy as having dry erase markers that worked. My children wanted to use a section where you could draw but all the markers didn't work. Also videos wouldn't play. On a positive note we loved the variety of sections and play areas. Cafe Loraine was also a plus. We definitely went there and enjoyed some macaroons, lemonade and . If everything was maintained this would easily be a five star review.

  • Perla Arteaga

I can only say that this place is awesome!! My kids really love it here, they have a lot of things for the little ones to have fun and the employees here are always nice and friendly. Time goes by fast here, because the kids have so much fun, from playing in the little toddler area were they have a little grocery store, airplane, veterinary, a car, etc. To the room with tons of balls, the robot, water section outside were kids can splash the water and also go make bubbles in the big tubs, a reading area, lights and sounds, submarine, etc. I would definitely recommend this place!!

  • Michele Landeros

the fact that my 2 children are 3 years apart, 4 and 7, and still be able to play together in the different rooms is amazing. There truly is something there for every age level. My kids truly engage themselves in the rooms and seeing there imaginations blossom while they play together is simply short of a miracle. We’ve had passes for 3 years now and it’s time to renew. I asked them if they wanted to try another venue for season passes and they immediately shouted NO. They love it here.!!! This is a place money well spent. If they had a monthly payment plan that would be amazing.

  • Kat T

Went on a Monday morning so it wasn't too crowded. My son loved the outdoor water play and there's a little town where kids can pretend to shop or drive, which is great. Another positive was the calm room, which had a lot more calming activities. The only problem I had was upstairs where it can get rather noisy from some of the activities and my son gets over-stimulated by sounds. They do offer a sensory friendly program, but its difficult to find information on the website for it.

My 8 year old & 2 year old grandsons love this place! Today was a hot day so they spent a lot of time outside playing in the water activities, but I must say I had fun out there too!!! I love that they have handicapped parking to because my feet can only take so much! BTW if you live here get the family passes or if you have family that lives here and they have a pass an adult can get in for just $7, but idk what's the price w/o a pass

I took my 22 month old niece to Little Town and she enjoyed herself. It kept her attention for the better part of an hour and a half. The exhibits were, for the most part, well maintained considering the amount of ware they must get on a daily basis. The staff was quite friendly and engaging, happy to answer my questions. I had no difficulty with parking. We got there about 2:20 pm and it was busy, but it cleared out just after 3:00.

Recommend this place for all kids and adults alike! Each room is filled with educational sets, tactile/sensory play and plenty of sound activity. 2 stories and plenty of outside play from playground to bubble area. I have brought my special needs patients and have also attended multiple adult only events that have allowed us to explore as adults and be kids for a few hours. Now that I have a baby I brought her to play and she had such a blast at only 6 months old! Has a nursing room, cafe and a store. Very modern and adorable all around.

  • Melody Paez

For the most part, this place is still fun for kids. However, SO MANY exhibits and activities are BROKEN, DIRTY or in NEED of MAINTENANCE that it simply isn't worth the $16/person price anymore. We were last here 7 months ago and it was nowhere near this bad. It's really sad to see it this way and we won't be back for awhile to give the staff time to catch up on cleaning and repairs.

I was a little disappointed with this museum. First off, there should be a limit as to how many customers are allowed inside the museum at a certain time. It was chaotic. I understand it's for the kids, but several things were broken. It was dirty and felt outdated. I brought kids ages 4, 9 and 10, and all said the best part was the slide outside. There's a lot of room for improvement indoors.

What a rip off this place is. Bought season passes just to be told several times now at the front door that my passes are not good for that day due to them having a “special event”.. we were told to pay for tickets for that day! Wth is the point of the season pass!?!? Instead of worrying about what I emails I recieved, how about you re-evaluate how much you charge pass holders for these “events”. Maybe a better discount for pass holders? I’m not paying $25 for an event when I already bought season passes!

  • Karina KC

Great place to bring young kids. There is so much to do and it is all educational and hands on for the child to learn. I definitely recommend reading all the signs and helping your child so they can get the most out of the experience. It was a little frustrating when there were kids just throwing the "toys" around whilst we tried to participate to get the full benefit of the museum.

We had my son’s 4th birthday here today and it was a wonderful experience! A huge thank you to Cyerra and Sophia! They were both wonderful and so accommodating. We didn’t have to worry about anything and everything was communicated clearly beforehand by Cyerra. Carts were provided to load and unload and all of our guests were well tended too while checking in. Everyone had the best time! Additionally, the Dino dig activity was such a fun add on activity. Thank you again for a wonderful experience!!!!

  • Jared Martin

There’s plenty of stuff to do for kids of all ages here. We had a really great time and my boys had a blast. It was nice that they had a little cafe inside too for those long morning stretches that lead into lunch. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is because not all of the equipment worked. But keep in mind, this is a place meant for kids, and kids will always inherently break stuff. Other than that this is most definitely worth 5*s.

Wow wow wow. We came here expecting our kids to only be here for a few hours before getting bored and instead were here from open to close. The tiny town was super popular with both my toddler and her older sister. We all had a blast in the spy area trying to figure out the riddles and my oldest spent over an hour in the laser area. 100% will go again especially since it was fun for the whole family. This is a great museum for children under 12 and preschoolers. There is a outdoor treehouse and water area so wear good shoes or swim suits or clothes your willing to get wet. There are also other outdoor play areas with lots of climbing and slides. Tiny Town is great for children under age 5. The cafe is affordable but you can bring food and drinks.

A nice place with a lot of stuff to do for the young children (3-8). It has 2 stories with different exhibits. Upstairs is for the school age kids. The spy missions will take you about an hour to complete all 4 of them. It's reasonably priced and has a little deli with kids meals and wraps for adults. Will definitely return for a second go round

My 6 and 8 year old kids liked the ball room and the outdoor section the best. They were a bit big for the grocery store but still enjoyed it. I thought the spy area was really thoughtfully put together however, might be suited for a bit older kids. The spy stuff was great, its just that it was a lot to figure out and the room was a bit chaotic. I would go again.

I think the experience would've been better if it had not been pouring rain outside. They mandate masks for adults but for kids 10 and younger they do not require them. Kids are touching everything without anything being sanitized. The staff walks around and demands you to wear your mask, vaccinated or not. The areas where kids lay on to do activities were dirty. Overall we were not pleased especially for the price we paid for tickets.

  • savanna lee

I loved it. Went with my 6 and 2 year old. They had fun in every room and after they played in the water outside before we left. Definitely worth going. Indoor fun. DoSeum was a great museum to play and interact with different kid friendly toys. I thought it was going to be more educational rather than a big playground for children. The scene is eye catching, and the kids seem to love the atmosphere so anything that keeps them entertained for a few hours is cool with me.

I don't know how I've gotten away without leaving review until now. We have been members since 2019 and love coming here. There is a ton of stuff to do for our 3-year-old and every time he comes he finds something new he's interested in. They have rotating exhibits that are (almost) always amazing. When the weather is nice they have fun outdoor activities, too. We really like spending time in the little HEB store and town.

  • Paul Gvra

Finally took my son here as it had been on our to do list for a while. Masks are still mandatory . They do offer you complimentary ones at the front desk/ admission area. My son had a blast and had many activities to choose from. Definitely recommended for kiddos. The outdoor slide is super high. It mad me nervous . Apparently I have a little daredevil like the sign on the slide says ‘little daredevils welcomed.’

My mother-in-law introduced us to the DoSeum, my youngest on the spectrum and loves this place! My kid had a great time, exploring new things, learning and having fun at the same time. Paid for a family membership and was told I’d have to pay the full day price the first time we tried to enjoy it just because they were having a “special event” which was literally just hot chocolate and Santa which we could care less about. Came here on a rainy day week before Christmas. Some what busy but plenty of room for everyone; never felt crowded. Multiple levels; inside and out. Easy to get around even with a stroller for the baby. There was also a private room for nursing mothers if they want it. Parking is free! Has a lot of wow factors for the kids! Interactive, clean, educational, and lots of fun!

  • Johnson Wu

Pretty much similar to Children's museum. Kids from 3 of our families enjoyed their fun time here on the weekend after Thanksgiving. There is a simple bakery shop if you need quick bite. Lot's of different themes for kids to be creative with, there are also 2 outdoor area to have fun if kids love climbing and running. Couple of party room for hosting birthday for kids.

  • Robert Mcintyre

Kids love this place. There are enough things for them to keep busy for ever. There are alot of people but it is a big place and didn't seem to crowded. Need to be probably one on one to keep up with your kid. Favorite for 5 snd unders was the Little Town. For older than 5 the spy area is a hit where kids have to solve clues. Extra great treat on a cold or rainy day!

  • Crystal L

The dosuem is very packed with interactive activities for all the kids. There are sections for toddlers as well. My nephew is 9 and loved it. We spent almost 2 hours here. He loved playing outside in the water stations and using the tools in the construction section.

WOW! This is the place to go with kids. I have a 18 month old and he could almost everything there. Tiny Town was a big win with him. And the huggggeee water table, he could stay at for hours! I also has a 4 month old and there was a nice soft place for her to lay and roll. All the staff was very friendly and really like to be with kids. Highly recommend!

Bank of America card holders if you come the first weekend of each month the card holder is free! Ive been here a couple times, we always have a great time! I have a 5 year old and a 1 year old. Very entertaining for both. I love this place, Not to say it is seriously over priced. My husband two kids and myself $50+. Getting the membership sure pays off!

Some one enforcing the age limit of five denied my six year old to enter one of the exhibits. Totally unacceptable to deny a child to the exhibit that has so many fun things to check out. I understand to limit the number of kids at a time but come on!!! Dosium needs to change the age policy. My daughter was heart broken. Should be ashamed of that policy

Such a cool place for all ages of kids, I have two toddlers and they absolutely love this museum! Pretty stroller friendly with space and elevators for the different floors. It does get pretty busy especially in the toddler space with the little town but it is worth it!

Such a lovely experience. The museum is spacious and does a great job of self guided tours. It did a wonderful job of combining stem with real life scenarios. It's definitely fun for the kids and entertaining for adults. They have a Cafe so thats a plus since you don't have to leave to eat. I highly recommend The DoSeum for your next weekend plans.

This place is amazing! Our kids love it, and it's fun for all ages, we have just as much fun as our 1 & 7 yr olds. They are also part of the museums for all program with discounted tickets if you have an ebt or wic card, it's $3 per person up to 4 people.

Great place, can be toured in 1.5 hours. Some of the gadgets or would be educational material was not functioning well especially in the light and sound sensitive area. Some ball machines were stuck and needed unblocking. Overall it would be better if a little extra care was employed. Otherwise it is clean and so are the restrooms. More

Absolutely love this place. My family and I always have a good time. There’s so much to do, which is great since my son has a short attention span. I wish I lived in the city to be able to come more often. We have a membership, which means discounts for guests and on food or drinks, as well as the gift shop. The DoSeum is always a hit.

  • Michelle Leas

Excellent children's museum for exploring and learning with hands-on experience. We turned our daily pass into a membership so we can return as much as we are able to over the next year, YAY! Definitely recommend.

Great place with so many activities and learning opportunities for kids and adults. You could spend all day or two at this place! For those who have been to the Thinkery in Austin, this place is much larger, more spacious, has more activities, and is less crowded by comparison.

The DoSeum is one of the best Children's museums I've ever been to. There are so many interactive exhibits we always find something new. They offer a great deal if you purchase the annual membership and you can bring friends and family for a fraction of the price. The staff are always so friendly and everything is clean.

We had spare time before our flight back home and 5 kids to entertain. This place did not disappoint. They had a blast and so did the adults. I would highly recommend for a fun morning/afternoon

This is a very well place put together for ages 2-12. After a bit the preteen - young teens will get bored. I think it's a little pricey unless you stay for 3 or more hours. Great learning activities. I would have liked for employees at the stations explaining the stations, how they work and the history behind it.

  • Sydney

The DoSeum is AWESOME!! Fun for kids of all ages (yes, even 1 years old!). We have gone 3 times this past month! Something I didn’t know the first time I went; bring an extra change of clothes for your kids because my son played in the creek & with the boats outside and got drenched. …

AN ABSOLUTE BLAST! Visited on a Wednesday morning with super friendly staff. Enjoyed seeing my kids excited to explore and learn. Only downside..... so many questions from my children that I learned a thing or to as well.

First time here and I'll for sure be taking my daughter back. It was so much fun. Its two stories of everything interactive. I thought I was going to be more on the sidelines while my daughter played, but it wasn't like that. It was super interactive for both kids and parents.

2 adults + 3 kids for 70$ + tickets in total, but I’d say well worth the money. We wandered for 4+ hours. While kids enjoying the indoor activities, I like the outdoor garden parts the most. Very soothing

We had a blast! There was a ton to do, from grocery shopping to playing instruments to going to whataburger to being a secret spy! Not only will the kids have fun but the adults will also have fun interacting with everything here! Go go go!!

  • Lauren S (Photomomm)

Overpriced for my 2-year-old (who charges admission for a 2-year-old anyway), most activities were too advanced for him to enjoy. The woosher room was where we spent most of our time. But it's a small space. Lots of activities had screens

Amazing! So many fun things to see for all ages. We used our benefit as a member of a different museum to receive free entry as part of the ASTC Travel Passport Program. If I lived in this area I would absolutely get a membership here.

  • Anindita Gupta

This place is beautiful. They have very good scientific activities. It’s hard for little children to understand all by themselves. Parents can explain how to use their simple machines. My 5year old loved the place. For my 2yr old water

  • YVONNE B

Great place for kids, lots of fun!! Well worth a membership and very clean and sanitized. Feel safe for my little to be a little and play. Update any military, government assistance programs, teachers so get discounts on tickets

Great place to take the family if you have young kids. Family 5 cost us 70 just to get in in and we spent 3 plus hours within. They have a friendly staff who have A hands off approach. Its It's worth the money I assure you.

  • Rose Choix

Love it for my toddler. Not sure about older kids. Great rotating exhibits. May be challenging for some kids with sensory issues. Little Town can get pretty packed. My kiddo loves the Little Artist Workshop on Sundays.

  • Jem Heck

Incredible place! My kiddos played for hours and loved every minute! Highly recommend! We got a massive discount because we were members at another museum so check to see if your membership covers this place! Amazing!

Amazing place to spend the whole day with your kid. Very hands on and for children of all ages. Bring an extra set of clothing for the water section outdoors. There is a little cafe inside for snacks and lite food.

  • Mary Curbello

My four-year-old granddaughter loves this place. Although we were disappointed that the Australian exhibit was no longer there, her mother and father and I had a great time watching her have a great time.

  • Annabella Wood

A family oriented children's museum, it was loads of fun for my kids. There is a ton of interactive activities and there is a food place inside. I will admit the food is rather expensive though. More
