I was phoning around several stores trying to find a specific dress I’d seen online. Most people couldn’t have cared less and then I called The Evening Boutique and Mary answered. She was incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of her way to accommodate my request to locate the particular dress style, size and colour to try on. She did lots of phoning around, called me back when she said she would and even drove to her other store to bring back a selection of dresses for me to try so I didn’t have to travel between stores after a small misunderstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. She welcomed us into her store, suggested styles that suited my shape and colouring and even made my poor mum a coffee after several hours of helping me to try on dresses. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to bring my 3 year old along and Mary didn’t bat an eyelid despite his typical 3 yr old behaviour! Mary was not a pushy salesperson. She really just wanted to help me find a dress. She stocks a huge variety of well priced dresses and ultimately suggested a dress I would never have thought to try, which I chose as my wedding dress. She offered me a generous discount, suggested reasonably priced options for alterations if required and even asked me to send photos of my big day as I was leaving. I really couldn’t have asked for a better, less stressful shopping experience. Thank you Mary for genuinely caring about my big day. It was well worth the one hour drive to get to your store.

After reading a previous review, I have to say I completly agree. The Evening Boutique (TEB) only values its customers if: a) You "look" rich b) Are above the age of 25 Any highschool/UNI students searching for a dress for their function, I highly recommend NOT visiting this store alone or to come with an adult. Otherwise you will be treated poorly. As an eighteen year old, I can confidently say they do not respect their youth customers. TEB's response to a previous review claimed they had one negative experience with a younger customer as they were "careless" with their dresses and thus now try to take "extra precaution". But this is NO justification for their terrible customer service. TEB is an ageist company. No matter how respectful and cautious you are with their dresses, they will look down upon you. All customers deserve to be valued and treated with respect regardless of their age. I highly do not recommend this store.

Worst customer service ever! The lady was mean and when asked to try on a dress she said it was too expensive for me and didn’t let me try at all. And when I was trying this other dress that she let me try on, she opened my curtains when I was in the middle of changing and asked for the dress back. I’m a high school student and I think this experience Has scarred me for life and I don’t think I’ll ever go back again to this store. I’d highly recommend to take an adult with you when you’re going into this store otherwise get treated like garbage.

AMAZING! Mary's customer service and beautiful energy makes formal dress shopping so much fun. Honestly you just want to hug her!! My Daughter and I shopped at different times but yet both our experiences were so much fun and we walked away with huge smiles and gorgeous dresses. Mary you are such a beautiful soul and from now on ALL my formal dress shopping for my girls and I will be with you. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU

I've just been in this store for about an hour and a half and the two ladies in there were LOVELY! They helped me find my dream dress and gave me a seperate ultimatum for the sleeves even calling Jadore and asking the designer herself! As a plus size girl I struggled finding a dress that fit me but this dress fits me like a glove! It's perfect! They were so kind and I would definitely come here again for a dress!

Attendant was an hour late to my appointment, we tried calling and emailing multiple times. When they finally opened the store, there was very limited service given, and a very poor attempt at an apology for the extreme tardiness. Range of dresses weren’t very extension either. Wouldn’t recommend.

This is the place to go for your formal occasions! My sister found a lovely dress on the first try and after roaming all of Melbourne, I found my dress here as well. Wide selection in sizes and styles - you cannot go wrong! Lovely customer service - will definitely be back in the future!

The evening boutique went above and beyond to return a dress I had purchased 6 months prior, assist me with finding a new dress and then referring me to a brilliant seamstress to convert the open back to a closed back. I highly recommend this business.

Rude, rude, rude customer service. The sales assistant got annoyed for trying on dresses and not liking them. I was told I was not allowed to try on any more dresses. DO NOT shop here. Go to Brunswick instead where she was more than happy to assist.

They have a huge collection of dresses, good customer service, I was looked after by Mary , she was very helpful, especially I was a bit tight with time , Mary made sure that I got my dress on time , and I was very happy with it , thanks Mary.
