"This cemetery is the worst"
I have wait for 9 months just to get my mother date month and year on her stone. I have gone their every week and spoken to John and each time he has lie about someone will come and complete the stone. He has shown poor customer service and he really don"t care about getting it fix. Who can I reach out to complain too. They get your money and nothing is done. They need someone else to manage this Cemetery he is all over the place and never return any of your calls. He always has excuse when you go there. As of July 4th still stone has not been engrave. John said it would be done on June 17 2022 not still done said the people came out but my mother was not done her name was not on the list when they came out. So again another excuse. Said he call and schedule for them to come back the week of July 4th. I try to work with him but not getting any where. I am moving to the next step to get this resolved. This has been very stressful.
I spent one hour and fifth teen minutes waiting on hold to get a appointment to signed a contact and in that time I was put on hold 4 time never pick up the call. I end up calling from my job phone and my sister calling on her phone 5 times rang no answer on my phone and my sister two while still hold the original call 1:15 minutes they never came back to the phone. The finally Answer the job phone Jonh never came the was going to put me on hold again until I insist just roust tell John so rely anytime a appointment is available put on hold anyway but came back with a time for 1: 00pm my sister and sndfathers are buried their bad decision all these years later ground are not kept. Landscape locations markers are poorly need undated base. More staff needed sympathy feeling giving for the-service provided.I change my mind I give this Cemetary 1 star if left up to me I will never use this place again.
This cemetry is always well maintain and the customer service is very acceptable.Staff are always ready to help.I have passed by this cemetry today and the place still look well maintain. I went there around 1PM on a week day , I couldn't find anyone to talk to and ask questions. It looks like the office was closed.I will pass by again next week to see if I will be able talk to someone.I went there few months ago the office was opened ,but the poeple there couldn't answer my questions.I was told to wait for the person. I couldn't wait so I left.I am now reducing my 5 star previously giving to this cemetry to 4 star as of 1/21/2019 So far, nothing bad to report about Glenwood Cemetry. I will update my review once I get someone to talk to..
This place is horrible like other reviews I've read it only gets 1 star because I won't let me put zero.. Completely disappointed in the customer service it's non existent, no numbers to call, the ones that I have don't work or never ever get an answer.. Been trying to get my son a headstone for over a yr now and haven't had any luck calling or going to the actual cemetery.. Reported them to BBB and they even said they can't get in contact with No one and hope we have luck getting issue resolved.. Anyone with any info to help with this problem plz let me know... Gonna go put my own stone down if I can't get a resolution.
This cemetery is the worst. I will give it 0 stars. My husband is in a moselium in the inside building. When I go according to the hours of operation , The office is closed . I was told the grounds keeper will be there to unlock the door. He’s never there. It’s ridiculous when trying to visit a love one and this happens over and over. I wish I had insight on this cemetery before I selected this one. The inside of the moselium is never kept clean . I wish I could get more information on who’s in charge besides speaking to the guy in the office. Very bad business. I would never recommend this place to anyone .
The grave locator on the website for Glenwood Cemetary doesn't contain all records for loved ones buried at this Cemetery as stated. Glenwood has a different url called find a grave to locate the individual's burial location information which should be referenced on their actual website. By not mentioning, causes unnecessary frustration for a family member wanting to visit their loved ones but unable to because the family member can't retrieve the information online or the business office is not available or responding.
My dad was recently buried at Glenwood(2021). My initial contact was ok. After that it all went down hill! I have been chasing John for almost a year to get my dad's headstone put it. He's never present, doesn't return phone calls in a timely manner, he makes appointments and doesn't show up etc. Its very sad that customer service here is no good. I am highly disappointed, someone needs to do something so that other families don't encounter these problems.
My. Grandfather and grandmother lived in the house there and ran the cemetery for many years. Marion Steffey, grandmother was the secretary and Henry steffey, grandfather worked the grounds. They lived in the connecting house and as a child I played in the cemetry with my cousins. It was an interesting place to play and have family reunions
Glenwood Cemetery sits on top of a hill in Bloomingdale next two other cemeteries- Prospect Hill and St. Mary's. Glenwood is the largest of the three and built in 1854. This cemetery is great for a stroll to reflect on life. It's on a hill providing beautiful views of the city skyline. If you go in the fall, the leaves are stunning!
Glenwood Cemetery is a really interesting DC historic site. It’s a really unique place to go for a walk. Note the large carved trees, views of the Basilica and blossoms. It’s a little spooky and quiet but worth the visit! Closes at dark, follow posted signs. Saw someone walking their dog here.
" DO NOT " " EVER " ... expect this Cemetery to be Cooperative should anything go awry with your plans of internment ... There will be NO Cooperation or Quick Action to fix the problem or make alternate arrangements ... And one can expect a Pricey Fee should alternate plans be needed ...
If I could give it no stars I would I have been calling for almost 40 minutes and have not gotten No one and the website say it open also you can’t even leave a message
Absolutely spooky! Edit: I've thought it over the last 3 years, and I think I got ahead of myself. This place is absolutely spooky! 5/5
They have no numbers to be able to find loved ones I spent an hour trying to find my grandmother and I still haven’t I’m very upset
Beautiful grounds. Paths and grass is well kept. The landscape is stunning, particularly during cherry blossom season.
Does anyone have a phone number for this cemetery because the number given on google nobody ever answers the phone.
