As far as the 2-star review, I know this school very well. The teachers are often on rotation and are working in multiple classes, but there's ALWAYS a consistent lead that deserves their role - and this teachers our children flexibility and mitigates codependency. Rebecca alone has been the lead in infants for so long and in toddler and Pre-k - I don't think they were given a fair chance for that review, IMO. The management here is par none to three other schools we have tried. We have been loyal to this school since before COVID. NO OTHER SCHOOL would meet the standards. Turnover at schools would be better if parents like us realized the value of their care and didn't complain about the cost. These caregivers and educators don't nearly make what they should because we don't consider the amount it takes to run a facility of this caliber. I would pay three times more to this particular school if I could. As a mom of two with experience removing my children from three other schools, I have never had a better experience than Goddard Keller specifically. They are an extension of our family. My children are safe, known, seen, loved, cared for, and the education is unmatched. My 5 yr old is Kinder ready, and my 18 month old can put sentences together, count, and communicate in ASL. I put my son in the infant room, and this school was the only one I trusted, and they helped him with independence, and acclimation, and social skills I couldn't give him at home. ALSO - The nutrition is balanced, Trina and all office staff are family, too - Whitney, Kelly, Savannah, Kaylynne, - in the YEARS we have been here, not ONE of them has turned over, only celebrated and PROMOTED. The teachers are kind, empathetic, caring, loving and HEROES! I love my Goddard Keller family! - Mom with High Standards
I am writing this review for other mothers. When searching for daycares, I felt not enough people shared their opinions and experiences. This was my daughter's first daycare, and she started at just 12 weeks old. The first few months here went well, they had 2 strong infant teachers that we really liked. They took extra care of my daughter. (One is still there, Ms. Rebecca & this review is not a reflection of her) After that, the entire daycare started to decline. The turnover here was crazy, and the communication between management and parents was extremely poor. The ever-revolving door of staff became younger and younger, and the standards at the school plummeted. Management here, I'm sorry to say, is lazy and completely inexperienced from what I could see. In their defense, I don't believe the owner was present nor evolved enough in her business. Towards the end, my daughter was getting sick constantly. The rooms became dirtier and poorly run. My daughter had constant diaper rash, and the inexperience of the younger staff members became very clear. My daughter ate a large piece of plastic sequin one day that wedged itself to the roof of her palate. My concerns were ignored, and the Halloween decorations and choking hazards were left in the infant classrooms. On our last day, my daughter was handed to me "ready to go home" when I quickly realized that she was COVERED in her own poop all the way up her back. Now that I have been with a new daycare for a few weeks, I realize how poorly my daughter was treated in the end, and I wish I had made the change much sooner. To be fair, everyone was always kind to my baby. However, the level of care in the classroom was the problem. I would not recommend this school to any parent in its current state.
It's been over a year since any of my kid have attended this school. I really liked the teachers, staff and Mr. Grady, the owner. I felt they all did their best to run the school as it should be and care for the kids. The upper age group teachers I found to be simply AMAZING. I used their preschool program, 4 year old, and found them to be VERY good. While the class had a couple assistant teachers come and go, Ms Jen was seriously the best teacher ever: kind, considerate, patient, loving, caring, concerned. She was just an amazing person. I've seen multiple daycare programs with now 4 kids, and Jen was incredible. Having said that, I read through ALL the reviews here and found that, sadly, I could agree with the issues parents had with kids under 2 (can't really agree with the ex-employee). It was the #1 reason I decided to use other daycare options. I was constantly concerned that my son wasn't being given adequate care. He had severe rashes ALL THE TIME. I addressed this points multiple times. And while I ultimately left, I know they had tried my different suggestions for personal care—my suggestions weren't left on deaf ears. Diaper rashes reduced significantly when I started my own care: they went from weekly rashes to only 2 over the past year. Lastly, I'd like to thank Diana for doing a wonderful job, in general. I found her cheery, can-do attitude and approachable person very comforting as a parent. This especially was great when explaining difficulties. She and Mr. Grady do a fantastic job. I docked a star because I wasn't terribly happy with their infant care program, but felt their toddler and preschool programs were great.
For me, when I visited Goddard last February on a quick 24 hour trip, it was clear right away this Goddard would be as welcoming and warm as the one our boys attended in MN. The owner, Grady, was very warm and welcoming. The way he discussed the programs at Goddard and showed such pride in them I was very impressed and excited to see how our children would do. As we have gotten to know the director, Diana; the assistant director, Whitney; and all of the teachers, we have shared many laughs and have developed friendships along the way. We have enjoyed all of the fairs and gatherings the school has every couple months or so. It's great to see the teachers in a different setting than just as a teacher. There are many reasons why we love this school but one in particular is because the employees are parents as well, there is a shared vested interest with all the families in getting the best teachers and putting forth a product for all children to flourish. The teachers are caring, approachable and knowledgeable with their curriculum and how they approach each child. Our child loves seeing his teacher and, as a parent, it makes you feel good knowing your child feels comfortable being around them. Our child wakes up each morning excited to go to school and see their teachers and friends. The different opportunities given to him, whether technological (computer or interactive programs) or play based, has really helped him develop. For any parents considering The Goddard School, you will not be disappointed.
We have been really pleased with Goddard! We tried a number of places before Goddard and we were ready to give up hope that we would find a place that fit our needs. Our son was a few months behind in his language ability and we really wanted a place that gave attention to developmental needs and had a low student to teacher ratio. We were also wanted to avoid large classes where multiple assistants were added so that they could fit more kids in the classroom. Goddard has small classes with the lowest student to teacher ratio we could find in the area. Additionally, they do put attention on the developmental stage of the child. Staff (teachers, assistants, and director) are very friendly, helpful, and everyone knows our son well. Most importantly, after just a few months in Goddard we have seen a tremendous improvement in our child's ability to use language and communicate. We are amazed at the speed and degree to which this improvement has occurred and are looking forward to seeing how our son continues to develop at Goddard. Also, we have noticed that our son, who was very shy at other daycare providers, seems to becoming progressively less shy as he spends more time at Goddard. We believe this may be due to the less overwhelming environment and small classes. Overall, we are very happy with our experience at Goddard!
Our son (18 months) has now attended Goddard for a couple of weeks and I cannot recommend them enough! We were super anxious sending him to daycare as he is too young to tell us if something is wrong, so we’ve had to really trust our gut in deciding where to send him and Goddard has put my anxious mom heart at ease. Kelly was wonderful on the day that I toured and every single staff member we’ve interacted with since then has also been wonderful in a very genuine way. :) We get tons of updates and pictures throughout the day and my husband and I are always so excited to see what our little guy is up to. :) Goddard seems to provide age appropriate structure that combines play and learning and our son already seems to be picking up on what he’s being taught. He is still adjusting to being in a brand new environment but his three teachers have been so kind and patient with him and it is so appreciated. The other kiddos in his class are also so sweet and warm towards our son when we drop him off which is a clear product of the warm and inviting environment they’re in! Seriously, take a tour if you’re considering Goddard. They are 100% as great as they seem. :)
I love this school but most of all my daughter love this school!! I use the word school instead of daycare because that’s exactly what it is!! My daughter was previously in a lack luster daycare, as much as I fought them it never got better. My daughter was behind, not because she isn’t smart but because they weren’t teaching her and there is only so much I can do at home with her as a single working mom without support for her daycare. When Elli started here last year it was during the peak of covid when it was scary just to leave the house. I felt safe leaving my daughter because of their sanitation standards and procedures. It was during the summer so I was expecting more relaxed setting, which it was relaxed but my daughter was still able to not only catch up but get ahead of her learning fairly quickly. She has really excelled here and I’m so thankful. I also love that they use an app to communicate with parents. I wish there were a way I could communicate back but the app is very limited with that, still it’s great to know how my daughter is doing in her class and see her fun and learning while there.
The assistant teacher who posted below depicted what was pretty typical of our experience there. There were many, many times we picked our daughter up only to find her with food on her face, in dirty clothes, upset, standing outside by herself crying, watching a tablet, etc. What the former teacher said about yoga is absolutely true. Our daughter had extra clothes, the food had been on her face way after snack time. It's not like we always walked in at inopportune times. Over a span of four months our daughter had five teachers-and it wasn't because she kept moving up. Things run different when the boss is around. There's a gentleman who runs the joint, but he was rarely there. The two gals in the office would hear our complaints but there was never any real change. Our daughter was getting ready to move up a class and they hit us with a $35 tuition up charge. It's supposed to move the other direction when children move up. Fed up after not seeing change we changed her school. It was a good move and our daughter is much happier.
Goddard is one of the best daycares around. There are three things my wife and I want from our childcare provider. We want a place that is clean, has emphasis on child development, and a place our child enjoys attending. This location exceeds all of our expectations. The facility is immaculate and is always decorated for the season. We have attended the facility for nearly 3 years and the place still looks brand new. Everyday there is an age appropriate activity for the kids. My first child was taught how to communicate with sign language before he could speak. Also, the teachers are very meticulous in keeping to your child's schedule and writing reports on their daily activities and progress. Last, both of our children always come in and leave with a smile. This is because of the love and attention they receive while at the school. The teachers really care and have a genuine desire to work with children. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a first class facility.
My grandkids have gone to this school for years and years. My first grandson started at 9 months and is now 5. My second grandson is almost 2 and started at 3 months. When my daughter was young, I had her at several schools in Keller. This school is by far my very favorite of all. I pick the kids up at least 2 times a week and go to all of their events. The security is wonderful. You can't get in the door without a private code to check out only your children. The teachers and staff are incredible with the kids. If there are any concerns, not only do they listen well, but they work on a solution immediately. The administration staff in the office are just great. They know everyone, are warm and welcoming and run a very tight ship. I honestly wouldn't want my grandkids anywhere else. When my daughter and SIL moved, they continued bringing the kids here and drive 15 minutes out of their way in the morning and afternoon to take them here.
First and foremost, this isn't a babysitting institution! Every level my daughter has been in at the Goddard since she turned 3, she has learned so much! As well is 100% ready for kindergarten on many levels. Socializing, class room structure, manners, as well as rules and guidelines. Now at 5 years old, my daughter is reading, writing and is already familiar with telling time, addition, and so much more than I ever expected from a pre school. Goddard is head and shoulders above other preschools. Prior to the Goddard, we had attended 2 other "name brand" preschools that did nothing but babysit and my daughter was sick every other week. Since the Goddard, her dr visits are no more than annual visits!!! The school is clean and has fantastic talent running each room! I trust my child at The Goddard and know she is getting a fantastic head start on life.
I can't say enough wonderful things about this school. We've had an amazing experience with the teachers and administrative staff alike. My daughter was in Ms.Kerri's Pre-K class over the summer. The Pre-K classes are highly organized and the teachers spend a great deal of time educating the kids. The teachers cover a variety of topics such as artists (like Jackson Pollock), US history (the week of July 4th they learned about George Washington), science experiments (robotics-the class built a robot arm) and math (my daughter now knows about fractions!). It's not only the teachers that are warm and caring. The entire administrative staff makes it a point to get to know each child as well. The only reason we left the school was because we had to move to Dallas. If the school was closer, our daughter would still be enrolled here!
As a current parent who has been attending for several years with my two boys find these reviews to be absurd, and obviously written by a disgruntled employee, if anything I have noticed a positive change in the school, especially since some of the former employees no longer work there. The management team is professional, relatable , understanding and truly do what is best for the children. I agree with Mrs. Hines that whoever is writing these negative reviews should consider their own motivation. My family loves the Goddard School, the staff, the management team and Mr. Grady. A good school starts from the top and trickles down, this school wouldn't be what it is without this team. Please do not consider these negative reviews while making your choice in finding the right school for you and your family.
This review would be a 5-star if it wasn't for their absolutely abysmal accounting practices. Earlier this summer they announced the only payment they would take is auto, reoccurring CC/Debit going forward. I did my due diligence and got everything set up. I noticed my payments were not being deducted and informed the school. This was apparently ignored as we then were later told we were a full month behind. We paid and were told the payments would start coming out for my Daughter's last month starting August 1st. They did not. We were instead charged on the 15th and then two weeks later on the 31st...two weeks after my Daughter had ceased her enrollment there. I get why they want payment set up like this, but it would probably be best if they knew what they were doing before instituting such a policy.
The worst place for the kids I have ever seen. The staffs have poor knowledge of managing the kids. When I enrolled my 2 year old kid, they didn't pay attention to him and within 3 days, they gave a notice (on paper, which I saw after coming to home) that they cannot keep my child .The reason mentioned on paper was separation anxiety. Which child doesn't cry for first few days(in my case just 3 days)? They don't even have the audacity to say it face to face. They keep 15-20 children in one class and just 1 teacher to support. Poorly managed. The owner and director are greedy and selfish. They keep enrolling the kids without planning on how to keep them with no teachers. They only take easy childs who don't cry starting from the first day. In short, I would never recommend this place for any kids.
I have been at Goddard for 3 years now and I wouldn’t have my boys anywhere else. My oldest is now in kindergarten and is in the after school program and my youngest just got moved over to the first steps classroom. The teachers are phenomenal and love each and every child. We receive photos and videos of them interacting and the lessons they did that day. The curriculum consists of math, language arts, science, world history, art history, yoga, sign language, Spanish, and French. They offer dance and sports every week also. This is not a day care- it’s more of a private school. Management knows everyone who comes in and out of the school and treats everyone like family. If you are looking for a great school for your kids- I’d enroll them here at the Goddard School of Keller.
My son has been attending The Goddard School for 10 months now and I have been impressed with how much he has learned and continues to learn! There were some changes made since we first enrolled, but the transition was great and everyone is still very friendly and helpful! This is not just the typical daycare, the teachers are great and I love the fact that all the main teachers have some sort of education (degrees, certificates, etc.,) in childhood education and/or childhood development. Overall we've had a wonderful experience so far at The Goddard School and they have been great to my son and family! I feel as a parent it is worth giving this school a visit and I am sure you will be impressed!
We love the Goddard School of Keller! My son was has been in the infant 2 and first steps classrooms and has thrived with his teachers. It is evident that everyone from the administration to his teachers and teaching assistants are engaged in his and his fellow classmates development. In particular, Ms. Raven and Savannah are phenomenal as are Whitney and Kelly in administration. They have advised me on everything from baby shoes to supporting Victor's development. I love the curriculum and how much he is learning, even at such a young age. Also, the teachers give them tons of outside time and learning through play. I would recommend this location to anyone I know.
My Granddaughter attends this school. She is not yet 4, but loves this school and has progressed academically and socially well beyond those years. She often initiates conversations at home of planets, animals and all sorts of science topics. She loves writing letters and practicing drawing her shapes. She speaks affectionately of her teachers and her friends. In short, she loves her school and has developed a love of learning at an early age. I pick her up frequently. I see the love that her teachers have for her and her classmates as well. I am a lifelong educator myself and have seen firsthand the quality of this school in it's people and programs.
Our family has only experienced 2 childcare facilities. Based on our family needs this school is the best. Our child can be independent yet have a structured curriculum. The kid to teacher ratio is perfect. You know that your child gets undivided attention, and ECI (early childhood intervention) highly recommends The Goddard Schools. Even on the weekends our child asks to go to The Goddard School. Which melts our hearts because at the prior daycare on our way to school our child would say turn around, turn around I Don't like school. So clearly The Goddard School is doing something right.
These negative reviews are nuts. Who writes this stuff? I have known Grady for about seven years. He is considerate, accommodating and never greedy. If you disagree, you might consider your own motivation. So, I put three kids through there. If there is any downside, it might be that they were so prepared for kindergarten that they were bored when they got there. Seriously, I think Goddard was one of the best decisions we ever made for our preschoolers. That kind of success doesn't come from only the teachers, because they come and go, it also comes from the leadership and the model.
I highly recommend this school for anyone who is looking for a place where their child(ren) will excel and love to attend every day. We are discovering new things, she is learning how to sign and communicate, her pediatrician has noticed she is advanced in development (sometimes way too smart for her own good), and adores being there. She has been attending since 6 weeks old, and we definitely saw a change for the better (after a month or two of transitions) once the new director came in, and we can't say enough of how much we love it there now.
My son attended Goddard Keller for a year beginning with the First Steps classroom when he was 14 months old. He loved going to school and was excited to learn and do new things there. But the best thing to me was how loved he was and how he looked to his teachers for comfort and approval, and it’s clearly because the teachers truly cared. Special thanks to Miss Savannah and Miss Haley, and to the other staff and management, for keeping the kiddo safe, happy and engaged!
My daughter has been going to The Goddard School Keller for almost 2 years (she is now 4) and I could not be happier!! Her learning and social skills have sky rocked. They do a great job of mixing learning with fun activities to keep the kids engaged. The teachers and Directors are fantastic, they listen and help with any thing that I may need help with. I highly recommend this school, trust me, you wont be disappointed in the amount of education your little one learns.
We recently switched our son over to the Goddard School from a nearby daycare and we couldn't be more pleased! At first we were concerned at the price difference but we learned very quickly that it was worth every penny. Curriculum is the focus and my son has learned more in a month than he did in a year at his old school. Accredited teachers and an amazing facility that focuses on teaching makes the Goddard School the best option in the area for your little one. A++
My child has been going here since she was three months old and is now in Pre-K at Goddard! The teachers and management team are fantastic and have become like family over the last 4 years. They have played a huge part in my babe's development and education as she grows. They have also welcomed me with open arms and made me feel comfortable asking questions and/or anything I may need! Thank you, The Goddard - Keller! Ps. Whitney and Kelley are THE BEST. We love you!
Truly just the “wow factor” given by the school. We absolutely loved our time here. My son loved his teachers so much, and he has blossomed so much while at this school. The teachers are truly the best of the best. We are so sad for our time in “daycare school” to be over. The management team is also amazing. If we ever had an issue to bring to their attention, they were quick to jump in and fix it. I can’t say enough good things about this amazing school.
I have had my son in 2 other daycares in the area and my son has just blossom at Goddard. From the front desk staff to the teachers they are all amazing. He has had a consistent teacher (Miss Stephanie) this school year and she has made such a positive and lasting impact on our son. He has learned so much and continues to amaze us on all the things he learns from educational to manners and sign language a just amazing on all that the teachers do.
I have three nephews that have all been enrolled at this Goddard, at one time or another, over the past eight years. My favorite part of the week is getting to pick them up on Friday afternoons and hear all about the fun new things they learned that day. Whether it's volcanoes, the solar system, or sign language - their enthusiasm for the subject matter is overwhelmingly evident and a true testament to the teachers at this school.
The Keller location does a phenomenal job at making sure that my child is safe, happy, active and healthy. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate my baby's preferences. I feel safe sending my child here without a doubt since I get updates periodically on my child's activities and an end of day report on feeding and diaper changes. I highly recommend Goddard school in Keller.
I absolutely love this school, My son has been going there since he was 6 weeks old, the staff are wonderful , the directors are so open and friendly, the school is ran so professionally. My son has such a good relationship with his teachers, he comes home telling me the new language of the week there learning every week, we’re so grateful for Goddard and their staff❤️
This week The Goddard lost two of the best teachers my son ever had. We wish both of them the best in their new positions after The Goddard. The departure of great teachers from this school seems to be a trend over the last year or so. If I were the owners I would take a close look at the reasons for the departures and work to correct the issues.
Visited during a recent "open-house" and was very impressed with everything! The school was clean, organized and well maintained. The atmosphere was engaging with happy productive teachers and students. It's definitely a school and not a daycare.
We loved our time at The Goddard. Teachers and staff are beyond wonderful, we really felt like our son was thriving here. Communication between school and parents was always clear and focused on our son. Couldn't be happier about a preschool!
They do not sanitize the way they make you believe. Babies will drop their pacifiers on the ground and another baby will swoop it up and put it in their mouth. They all put the same toys in their mouths. Almost every child is sick there,
I have always liked the Goddard schools, irrespective of the locations. Goddard Keller has been a great place for my daughter because if the care and education provided at the school and because of the kindergartener she bloomed into. I
This is my experience as an ASSISTANT TEACHER at this Goddard School. I worked at an amazing Goddard School in Cypress Texas (right outside of Houston). The teachers were phenomenal at that location. I got to work with a teacher who had
I'm very happy to say that I have worked here for a month and its been grand! Ive been childcare for over 20 yrs. I have worked at government funded program corporate programs and programs that were awful. The director is very sweet and
I didn´t like this daycare at all. My son, 20 months at the time, had a very bad experience. In the 3 months he stayed there, he came home several times with a diaper rash. The teachers changed two times and without notifying us in
I love it here!! My son has been going here for the last 2 years. The teachers are incredible. My son loves going to school. The weekly routine is great. They learn different languages which is awesome. Definitely recommend it here!
My kiddo goes here because the teachers are knowledgeable and educated. Meaning they are not only working with Lauren on the alphabet, but also exposing her to science, history and math. The staff is friendly and very kind. My only
Our two children have been attending The Goddard School for almost a year and they are doing fantastic! The teachers are outstanding and really engage my children in learning. Since they have been attending they have grown so much.
I've been very happy with The Goddard School. My daughter seems to have a great time here, plus she comes home knowing something new everyday! The teachers have all been great, caring and communicate very well.
We absolutely love The Goddard School Keller! Our son and daughter love it here and they are learning so much. The Directors and Teachers are very caring and helpful and truly care about our children!
We love it here! My son loves his teacher, we get photos all day and he’s always smiling and having fun. The front office staff are the best. They are always so responsive with any questions.
I’m very satisfied with our experience at the Goddard school so far. Amanda and Karena in the infant room are awesome! They know our baby so well and are very accommodating to her needs.
An amazing place to bring your children. The teachers, aides, directors, assistant director and owner are amazing. Wish they could always care for my kids!
My kiddo LOVES school because of these amazing educators. They make learning fun, engaging, relevant and personalized for the student. Great school! ♥️
What a breath of fresh air this school has been. We are thankful we found Goddard when we did.
10/10 experience. From the cleanliness to the staff. Children grow well here.
