Manager Katrina, Supervisor JP, Floor Associates in plumbing area Paul and Frank. All four are responsible for making our shopping experience at HD very stressful and unsuccessful. Decades ago when Home Depot first opened, we were all ecstatic. Finally a huge self-serve hardware store where DIY enthusiasts could purchase items and happily work on their home projects. Over the years, I’ve gotten increasing disappointed in the lack of help from HD personnel. It seems like only tradespeople who know exactly what they are doing can quickly find what they are looking for and be on their way. But amateurs beware. The personnel just won’t help you. Today was no different, actually worse. Today I went to the HD on 3rd Ave and 59th Street in Manhattan. Some plumbing parts from under my kitchen sink were rusted so I decided to replace them. I took the old rusted parts out with a wrench, took pictures of everything, then decided to go over to HD. The parts seemed pretty simple but I need help from HD personnel. If the project seemed too complicated, I would have called for a plumber. There were no customers in the plumbing department. An HD employee named Paul was just hanging around. He was supposed to be knowledgeable about plumbing. Well, he was completely clueless or just plain unwilling to help. I politely asked him if I could review the picture I had taken and the old parts I had uninstalled. He gave me a strange and rude look, then walked me over to an aisle and pointed at a bin on the bottom shelf. The items in there were nothing like the old items I had uninstalled. Again I asked him for two minutes to get some guidance but he rudely said he was busy and I should hire a plumber. Busy? No customers were there only stock-people. I’d like to add here that I went to HD mid-morning on a weekday. HD in Manhattan does not have a lot of customers on those days/times. Yet m, almost every floor person I saw on the lower level where Plumbing and many other important departments are located m, seemed to be goofing off, not doing any work and certainly NOT helping customers. I went back to the main aisle and saw two employees chatting. Seemed like a friendly personal discussion. I waited until they paused, then politely asked for help. One of them pointed at a stock or inventory person. I went over to that person and was informed he doesn’t help customers. I went back to the main aisle and encountered an employee named Katrina. She was pleasant enough and introduce herself as a manager. She summoned a plumbing supervisor who was called JP. The manager instructed JP to help me. Instead, JP handed me over to another employee that was just hanging around there named Frank, then walked away. Frank seemed as clueless and rude as Paul. He was not helpful at all and didn’t want to see the picture I had taken or the old parts. He also said I should hire a plumber. When I politely persisted, he sold me a kit and assured me it would work. I eagerly returned home and tried the kit, but it did not work! I am a man in my mid 60s with stage IV cancer. Hence I did not want to walk back to Home Depot, which is about a couple of miles away. I decided to go to the local True Value hardware store on 2nd Ave and 44th Street. I took the Home Depot kit with me as well as the old parts. Steve from the True Value store looked at the HD kit as well as the picture & old parts and immediately told me the item I had purchased would not work. He sold me the right part for a few dollars. I returned home and easily fixed my under-sink plumbing. Everything works perfectly. I thrashed the $17 kit that Home Depot sold me and decided I would never go back. I have a ton of friends and relatives in the area. Two of them were with me this morning when we went to Home Depot. We decided to never give HD our future business and also spread the word! I and sure, as a corporation, Home Depot doesn’t value its customers. That manifests itself in bad employee behavior. We will keep away!
I have not been back to the store in years. Other than a very few employees namely Irene, Heather, Jose (answers the phone sometimes. I don’t know what department.), And Yanni there is no one to be of any help. Gerry, the store manager, if you can call him that has absolutely no authority! I purchased a bathroom vanity. If not for Irene I would still be sitting there two weeks later! The staff does not seem to be trained in anything! It arrived. Damaged of course! Why would you think they would open something and check it before sending to a customer?! I called to have them pick it up and take it back to the store. Wonder of wonders they came the same day! I was so excited. I was going to write a wonderful review about them BUT…. There is always a BUT, They credited me for the item but never credited me for the pick up charge of $45! The problem with that is they never told me there would be a pick up charge! Rhonda, another manager, told me since the item was damaged there would be no charge. You would think that would be the case, but no! I went back to the store and they offered me nothing but a credit and that would take a minimum of two weeks!!! Gerry and Rhonda kept insisting that they use a third-party for returns. That doesn’t seem to be a problem for the customer to resolve. I was looking for a better quality bathroom vanity. One employee told me they have nothing in the store I should look online! Great way to keep brick-and-mortar stores in business. If a store manager cannot override a situation there is something wrong with corporate! I didn’t expect much and even so I am very disappointed. I will not shop with them again. I would suggest nobody do so either. Sticking a customer with a store credit when the item you send them is damaged seems to me a very poor way to do business.
I’ve been coming to this Home Depot for years. All the people I interacted so far with were always very nice and helpful. But today at the “self checkout” where I usually go to because I hate being rushed with packing at the regular checkout point every single “self checkout” was closed… except for one where an employee was standing and processing the purchases himself. It was 07/23/23 at 04:52 PM named J (not pulling the full name here). He was not welcome, but that’s fine, I don’t need everyone to smile at me. But I really hated the most when he was grabbing aggressively the products out of my hands (since it’s a self checkout there is no table to store it at) and when all the products were scanned he suddenly grabbed my personal bag (!!!) and started throwing items in it. I really didn’t appreciate him touching my personal bag and not giving me any time to pack things I purchased correctly myself to make them all fit. I guess 0 people in line behind me made him rushing… my huge shopping bag was full after he threw in it a few big items and I had to get everything else in my hands and go to a near by standing shopping cart to unload the bag and fill it up again but correctly this time. Literally every item fit in the bag after I did it myself. I didn’t say anything out loud but I guess my face at that moment was louder than any words and I have a feeling he just did it on purpose with no reason whatsoever. Not coming back there anymore. It’s interesting how one bad experience makes you not like the whole place you’ve been coming to for years.
This establishment specifically this location has changed. I really don't know if they hired a lot of ppl that are in experience, but the way they treat their customers have me in disbelief. I purchased some ant repellent. Walked to self check out some guy automatically snatched my items out of my hand and started ringing me up at self check out. I said thank you but I would of went to a register if I need your help. Then he continued to stand over me while I enter my pin with my debit card. I asker him not to do that and he pretended to look at the ceiling. I've never had a problem here. I actually work in the area. I came in with my work uniform. I understand that theft is high, but wouldn't you be able to report me very easily especially wearing a government uniform. I felt very humiliated that I returned my items. While doing so the at the return register the cashier had the ordacity to make a statement if I purchased the items at a local CVS. I explained to him I just purchased these items less than 30mins ago. While experiencing this all within 1hr. I will not nor will I ever recommend this Home Depot to any of friends, friends, local businesses or community at all. Your new staff need better customer service training. Racial profiling is at an all time high.
I'm posting this review because this store defrauded me. I ordered boxes online that were sent from this store for delivery, and I paid a hefty $35 delivery fee. The order was delivered with NONE of the medium size boxes. The store told the support guy that they were "out of stock," yet they still proceeded to delivery without half the order (without telling me before or after the fact). The small boxes that were delivered, were the cheaper ones, instead of the ones I ordered (stronger with with handles). This was an order of small, medium, and large boxes. After contacting Home Depot (which has an abysmal customer service system by the way), the manager responded by informing the support member that I would receive a refund for the missing items, (the delivery fee could not be refunded). 5 days later, no refund to my credit card, so I just contacted them again, spending 45 minutes on hold listening to the same advertisement on repeat, and once again promised a refund. We'll see if I actually get it. Everything about this was terrible an unacceptable right before I needed to move. I won't be ordering from Home Depot again.
Very large store. Well stocked. Clean (including bathrooms!). Best of all - over the top customer service. Especially Frederick at the front desk on the street level of the store. We came out of the store recently with a 65 pound item and he asked if he could be helpful with getting it into a cab or car. We said we were not taking a car, but were going to walk and carry it. He looked a bit taken aback (given how heavy and large the item was - ha ha) and then said we could take the cart for the 11 minute walk and just return it. We only had to leave an ID that he safely put away. When we returned the cart, we just picked up our ID. His suggestion and offer to help was above and beyond IMHO. Really great and SAVED our backs!! Literally made our entire afternoon wonderful. :) THANK YOU FREDERICK! And thanks to his team members who held the door open for us, etc. To the management team, you are obviously doing something right because the service was above and beyond. LOVE this location and grateful it is nearby.
Most beautiful Home Depot I've ever been to and I've been to many. Most other Home Depots are geared more towards contractors or look like Dumps in my opinion. Stuff thrown all over the place or poorly stocked shelves. This is the first Home Depot that's actually pleasing to walk in to. It's much more well stocked, well organized and cleaner than any other Home Depot I've ever been to, and the staff doesn't actually try to avoid you. They actually ask if you need any help. In the end I realized why. It's in one of the richest neighborhoods in the world. The East Side of Manhattan and if you think about it people are used to and demand a better shopping experience than most of the other neighborhoods or locations other Home Depots are located at. I don't think looking like a contractor hardware store or a dump or being poorly stocked would cut it in that neighborhood. People in those neighborhoods actually complain and that would put pressure and reflect badly on the managers.
At the corner of 3rd Avenue and 60th Street, this is the closest Home Depot to me -- close enough to walk there. Located near Designers' Row, its product line is geared toward Manhattan apartment interiors rather than industry or farming. My main complaint about the Depots in general is that although they have a lot of display space, they fill the space with the brands that they prefer to sell, rather than several competitors' products in the space available. Often, their choices of what to stock do not include what works best for me. The staff is generally friendly and cooperative, but since there are no degree programs in retail hardware, the sales help is at a disadvantage in comparing tool types or brands. However, since someone decided to rearrange the locations of some of the tools and hardware, the staffer who directed me to the new location of bungee cords directed me to the correct aisle quickly and accurately.
We went to this location to shop for a new dishwasher. Armando assisted us. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the product selection and was able to answer all of my (annoying) questions. He was extremely patient (even though he was the only one working in the appliance department and it was busy). When my top 2 picks were out of stock (supply chain... no fault of Home Depot), he suggested a third option from one of the same manufacturers based on what our priorities were. He also arranged delivery for us (pricing was very reasonable). Everything was seamless and we are very happy with the new dishwasher. We will definitely return to Home Depot in the future for any other appliances we need. Also, I frequently go to this location for houseplants and they have a good selection with extremely fair pricing. I would definitely recommend 59th Street Home Depot for all your home needs.
5 stars for Jim in the paint department. As soon as I stepped into the department I was greeted and asked about what I needed help with. He was so kind and grabbed everything off the shelf for me; he even pushed my cart for me! I left with everything that I needed with no frustration whatsoever. If he is not already a manager please make him one. As someone who works retail themselves, it is extremely hard to find people who know the proper way to not only treat, but also communicate with customers. I have always found this Home Depot super helpful and easy to find what I'm looking for. I love their selection of paints. I especially go here for garden supplies Extremely knowledgeable and friendly associates, told me the EXACT location of the item I was looking for and on my way to the aisle, each associate I passed, greeted me with a "Hello can I help you find something?" AWESOME
I ordered a Bosch washing machine from a lady associate named Vera in the appliance department and I repeatedly asked her if I need to know anything else that the machine may need etc.. she said no everything is good. at first she told me that they do installation. After the machine was delivered I find out they don’t. On top of all the machine is with a European plug which means it’s for Europe!!! Unprofessional sales people who know nothing about washing machines nothing about what they sell, you struggle with these ignorant sales rep. I had to go back to Home Depot to settle this because it’s impossible over the phone. Waste of precious time from work just because they hire people who are low pay uneducated unprofessional sales people. Totally disgusted.
I purchased an appliance online and they have this cool system where they have it ready in a locker and you put in a code they send you to open the locker. Saves a lot of time shopping and checking out. The check out lines move pretty quickly though and they have self check out. Plenty of great customer service too. The store has about anything you need. I also buy my cleaning products in bulk. I bought this Hamilton Beach clothes steamer and it works awesome, especially on polyester and difficult to iron fabrics. Prices are great. I’ve also bought ac’s which I’ve had delivered, plants, beach chair, batteries, rugs, you name it they have it. My only complaint is the glass Herculite doors to the store are too heavy for a 120 pound gal.
This is a review of the kids workshop at this location. I want to “thank” the staff and managers who didn’t plan the December workshop well. We registered and came at 10:20am only to find that there were not enough kits for everyone. My son was very excited about the gingerbread house he was planning to build, but they turned us down. They admitted they didn’t check pre registration so anyone could come. Lots of strollers with younger kids at this DIY workshop too. We all were really upset by this lack of planning and inconsideration on behalf of Home Depot. Holiday workshop that is supposed to last until 12:00pm ran out of kits by 10:15 or do. We are never going back there for anything. Thank you for the holiday cheer, Home Depot!
The Manhattan Home Depot up near Bloomingdale's near 58th and Third is a brilliant city hardware store. Opens really early and has awesome stock, particularly tools, and really effective, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Top marks Visit May 2022 to pick up some hardware. I have to be honest, I came across an assistant who could not have been more disinterested or unhelpful. When I watched him cut off 16' of metal chain when I asked for 20' (he was so surly I didn't dare tell him he was wrong initially) then I measured it in front of him and he just shrugged his shoulders, I asked if he was apologetic and the answer was negative. This guy needs to get a different job. Still a great store. But you have to filter the staff.
Good Morning. I picked up a Milwaukee M18 battery charger set that was on special for 199.00. The package unbeknownst to my discretion was quite lengthy in size. I asked for a bag to be able to walk the item to my car that was parked 10 blocks from the store, and a very sweet customer service representative gave me one of the orange cloth Home Depot bags for free! I was so taken back and appreciated the fact that she went above and beyond to help me! In addition to wonderful customer service the store is very neat and structured as per appearance. This was my first time at this Home Depot location and I was very impressed! I will make sure to continue using this location every time I am in the New York City metro area.
NEVER BUY SHADES HERE. What a terrible experience. Poor installation led to defects in the shades. I’ve been chasing Home Depot, who asked me to directly contact the shades manufacturer, the installation company, and another department at Home Depot to arrange a reinstallation of the shades that are supposed to be under warranty. I’m trying to figure this out for 3 months and nobody assumes responsibility - the manufacturer blames the installer, the installer blames the manufacturer, and Home Depot asks me to reach out individually to each party as if they are not responsible. If I could rate under one star I would have…
I had a really bad experience today at the Home Depot Store. At the Paint department. Customer Service was horrible, lack of attention, they look like it was time to leave. And I was stopping them from to do it. Another employee told me that his time was over. No one available. They don't know what they doing there. Is that the kind of service this store has best to provide, then I suggest 2 options. #1bring people that really know what they doing. #2 Really interested in to keep the job and like what they do. In order to have satisfied customers and bring a good business and reputation to the store
Honestly best customer service I can remember in my recent life. Especially for a big city. They, without me even asking, fixed my dented lamp, and installed a new lightbulb inside. The greeter was so pleasant and helpful and knowledgeable, and the cashier was awesome too. I actually called their manager and left a message and did the online survey, which I have never even done before. You guys are doing something VERY RIGHT and I am so impressed! Thanks for fixing my lamp! It's been non functional for 5 years, and in fifteen minutes you had it looking great and working!
Went today to get a light bulb. The customer service was disgusting, when I came in two workers were talking to each other and hardly helped anyone. I asked for the carts and they pointed me in the direction, I was already full of items and they didn’t care to get me it. Also when I was looking for light bulbs they didn’t have any individually packed when I asked an worker he was so nasty and Condescending. Thank god for the lady at the register she helped pack my light bulbs very nicely. It’s a nice store but the people were rude.
This is a beautiful store in the middle of the city. Don't go there on a holiday weekend Saturday 2 hours before closing unless you know exactly what you're looking for and where it's located in the store! Having said that it's has so much to look at in every department. I love the options I love seeing the possibilitiesespecially on the second floor for the kitchen and bath remodeling which is the project I'm undertaking.found to spell support in the kitchen appliance department that was very knowledgeable. Thank you young men
BEWARE. They hand out counterfeit money and will do nothing to reimburse you. We paid with a $100 bill and were handed 3- $20 bills in change that turned out to be counterfeit. When contacting the store manager, Paul, to rectify the situation, we were told there was nothing they could do. We are filing a police report. Upon further research, this is a long-standing issue with this store and they couldn't care less about making thing right for their customers. I've never had a worse customer-service experience in my life.
They cancelled my delivery order without noticed and did not provide a reason. Customer service was rude, snarky, and sarcastic. One disconnected abruptly in the middle of the conversation without explanation and I was connected with another one after a while of speaking to a robot. I really needed the delivery that day, hence why I paid $9 for next day delivery. I confirmed that the items were available in this store. Disappointing and unreliable. I did not get anything to compensate for the inconvenience either.
Been to this location so many time's and never shared a review. After today's visit and always the same experience I get every time I visit. This store is the best I've been to with no complaints every visit. Courtney from Harvard and the rest of the staff are always helpful and knowledgeable. Every time I go they always find a way to improvise if they don't have to make whatever I'm working on and it work's. So grateful for a location that keeps on top of their product's and people oriented.
Do not order online from here or any Home Depot store. They got my order wrong and the express delivery is not express. It’s days later for $9. They delivered incorrect items past the window and wouldn’t take back incorrect items. The next day they alerted me I’d missed the delivery but no one knocked or called me. My order was simple, 7 boxes and bubble wrap. Very frustrating and incompetent employees. Fine customer service I got a refund but it shouldn’t have been this hard.
I never write reviews; but need to state my experience with Chad Williams at Home Depot was amazing. I am working on a kitchen renovation and working with Chad on the cabinet design was invaluable. I shop for everything online; but going into the store and working with a knowledgeable and kind person like Chad really made such a big difference in being able to make the right choices. I highly recommend a stop at Home Depot for anyone in NYC planning any type of renovation.
I am only giving this store a two-star review because a man walked into the ladies restroom and used the bathroom like I was on the toilet and all I hear was a really deep voice and on a phone call I jet out of the bathroom and report it to security and all the security guard did was shrug his shoulders like it was ok for a man to walk in a woman's bathroom casually and use the bathroom with women inside. I spoke to the manager however she was accommodating and nice .
Best shopping experience I've had in a long time. I asked for plastic screws but they didn't have any but the sales person was very helpful. Despite expecting I'd have to go elsewhere or buy online the sales person stayed with me and consulted until we found an alternative that worked. Then I left the store without paying for an item. However, when I came back to pay, they were so appreciative of my honesty that they gave me a discount. Great customer service!!
Great store, it basically has everything you need. I brought stuff for cleaning, my kitchen, bathroom and storage needs. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. They ask you questions to find out exactly what you need and help you find it. If they don't have it in their store they'll look it up and tell you which store has it. They also recommend products that can help you better than the 1 you were looking for. This is pretty much a 1 stop shop
Pros: super dog friendly, awesome selection of plants and paint, helpful nice staff. Very convenient location too. Cons: the plants quality and pricing isn't great - I get better deals at wholefoods, and the layout is terrible - split across too many floors and so difficult to leave! Have to walk ages to get to the paint which should be nearer the entrance really as most people use home depot for that! Still, overall enjoy coming here.
Home Depot in the UES is convenient. But in my visit today I was also impressed by the expertise and generosity of Carlos, a Brazilian employee expert in lighting that took his time to help me get all the pieces needed to make an half century family lamp workable again and then put together for me all the pieces. This type of expertise and dedication is hard to find. I hope Home Depot will retain him and other people of his caliber.
Exceptional service from Chad Williams in the bathroom department. I needed to find a specific shower fitting at short notice. Chad searched for all the products, told me about the various options in terms of cartridges, design types, installation considerations, both replacement and repair options. He also took me down to check in person in case there was additional inventory. This is what you call professional service.
Kind service and it's not an easy job, but Home Depot customer service could not help me with an item that stopped working. Found my purchase in their system but couldn't offer help, exchange or store credit on a small appliance that stopped working under 1 year. Will only purchase from Costco, Target or other retailers who can help when a rare problem arises. Sidenote:also not likely to buy Hamilton Beach product again.
Ordered a washer/dryer with home installation. When the delivery man came he said he couldn't install the machine because it was connected under the sink and just left. So I never got the machine or installation and had to spend an hour on hold with Home Depot to get my money back. Afterwards called around to other providers and asked if they would install with the connection under the sink and all said yes.
Alanda has been a blessing for me. In the last 2 months, she has been helping me to place orders for more than 20K combined. She is very knowledgeable, resourceful and kind. Always with a smile in her face. Now I understand why is there always a line of ppl waiting for her… everyone loves her. In addition to this, her recommendations about colors, materials are on point. She is definitely a top notch worker
Excellent customer service! Thanks everyone. :) downstairs staff isn’t outgoing but if you ask them for help, they will definitely help you! I found everything I needed here (new toilet seat & air purifier). Not sure if there’s parking so take a cab or other form of ride share. They will also help you with your bags on the way out! Keep up the great work I’ll be back for the plants
Sheesh, the staff were very helpful. I came for screws, they were able to help me with my daughter showing a picture on video call. I also purchased plants which they also repotted for me as I purchased soil and bigger pots. The lady was very informative about plants, she almost confused me with all the information but I digested and will adhere to increase my plant life. I'll be back certainly.
A surprising store that seems to offer 99 percent of the Home Depot experience right here in Midtown. Excellent selection and speedy self-checkouts make this very convenient to go to.after work or even during lunch if you don't mind bringing your purchase back with you. About the only thing this location doesn't have is a lot of larger lumber products but that's not surprising given it's market.
This Home Depot is poorly stocked and highly confusing. Worse, the employees don't actually know where stuff is supposed to be -- I asked where to find a specific item and was directed far from the right place. I eventually found it on my own, but there was only a tag on a shelf that indicated they were out of stock. But it's better than not having a Home Depot in Manhattan, I guess!
Holy Cannoli! This place is massive!! Seriously, from street level it looks like a small boutique outpost of the suburban giantess superstore but once you descend downstairs, you feel like you just stepped into a home-improvement fifth dimension. Service is decent- they try- but if you are a novice like me, grab a handy-looking type and ask questions. They are usually very helpful.
I absolutely adore this location, The staff is always helpful, and I always find the check out whether It is self service or regular extremely efficient. The plant and flower selection is amazing, For such a smaller store.. I bypass the huge home depot. That's just 4 blocks away from where I live and take the train 10 minutes to go to this location because it's just so great.
I love this home depot. The people are respectful. The cascade and setup of the floors and where things are located are easy to follow and read and there is always stuff on the shelf. There is never any sold out items end the expensive stuff that you want to pick up is located right at the register in locked gates so it's simple and quick shdbi just love there whole process
The team here was great. They really helped me find what I needed. They even called me back to follow up on a tile I was looking for. They serve was great the team was so nice and helpful. The team walked through what I was looking for a gave great suggestions that aligned with my vision of my kitchen. They store is well layer out and the plant section is a must.
I went to the Home Depot on 161 and staff isn’t very helpful nor knowledgeable of the items that they have in the store. When I was finally able to get help both times that I visited the store, I made purchases but I must return them because they are not products I can use. One item was open and the other needs installation not something I can install on my own.
Everything I enter the store no one even says gm can I help. Also there are too many people there working doing absolutely nothing, Nada, zip, zero just stand around carrying on their own conversation. Also I noticed that when I write a review no one comments. They only comment in the good stuff that happens or the compliments they get. Just an observation.
Not many stores can deviate from their cookie cutter nature and still offer a quality experience, but this basement-dwelling Home Depot does it while offering an expensive inventory of just the right things for smaller spaces. Lots of cleaning supplies makes it a convenient stop off for household goods, too. They even sell plants. I enjoy coming here.
I wanted to buy several items. Carpet and I wanted to buy a Border guard. The staff they had walking around we're not interested in helping people , they were only interested in talking among themselves. I can tell you this I will never ever go back to the store on 59th street again. I'm sure it doesn't matter anyway. Customer service is really bad!!!
We had a great experience with Josue in the lighting department! He was so helpful in answering all of our questions. He was kind and patient with us as we figured out which light would work best in our space and offered us great tips on installing the light, he really knows his stuff and you can tell he really cares about Home Depot's customers.
Good size store with a lot to offer in Manhattan. Good house, bath, kitchen and cabinet section. We ran into Nina who was super helpful with educating us on counter tops and kitchen cabinets. She took her time and went over many details that we didn’t know. We truly appreciated that and would certainly go back there again. Thank you Nina!
Pretty busy. Lots of people purchasing boxes for moving. Somewhat good prices on boxes but bubble wrap, shipping tape and wardrobe boxes are quite expensive. Also the barcode reading price kiosks are not working. Staff is very helpful, as in they will walk half the store for you just to get you a shopping cart when you cannot find one.
Nice selection except not much in the way of outdoor stuff or wood. I wish they'd fix one of two elevators that has been broken for more than a year now. Luckily, the other one works and there are lots of escalators. Seasonal items are great as well ... holiday decorations and stuff for summer including grill items are well-stocked.
Please note - Home Depot doesn't accept payments through a phone, you have to bring an actual card or cash! They seriously need to change that - the reason for a star off. Otherwise, it's a good, spacious store with great prices on cleaning supplies, they have a good selection of flowers right at the entrance as well as downstairs.
This Home Depot location has virtually everything you would need from a traditional Home Depot. A full plumbing, electrical, hardware, tools, various home goods like small lamps and fixtures, grills and small plants. Has self check out to make getting in and out of the store quick. Has plenty of stuff to assist you with questions.
Delightful Charles at the return counter. Couldn’t hate this job more than he does and has to take his bitterness out on customers. Upsetting when you have to deal with him but sad he is so miserable. Go somewhere else, plenty of stores have better customer service or you can buy online and avoid a pathetic customer experience.
Fully stocked and easily accessible strolling through aisles. Checkout lines move quickly and efficiently. The customer assistants are courteous and extremely helpful. They take notice of your shopping needs and if you are looking for an item(s) and you don't know where to find it, they are always eager and willing to assist.
I don’t understand why home depot staffs doesn’t know anything. They don’t know the product where to find it if they have it. And they just text and hide from the camera. It’s seldom to find very helpful staff. The one in the city are nice. Outside the city are pretty awful. Hope they improve staff treatment to costumers.
This is one of my Favorite Home Depots! The Customer Service is so Great in this store! Shaniece is one of the Managers and she was so helpful to me. She stayed with me while I decided what I wanted. She went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. Managers like her make me want to come back.
I normally go to the home Depot at fort hamilton in Brooklyn, this was my first time going to the one at 59 st in the city. I was amazed by the service of the staff very kind and helpful and they had the blades I was looking for on stock. I have to say I was very happy and I truly recommended to visit this store.
Placed an order for some organization containers and they arrived at the store sooner than expected. I went to pick them up and 2 Home Depot staff members were nice enough to help me open the box so that I could load the contents into my shopping cart. Love the 59th & 3rd Ave Home Depot, their staff is awesome.
I mean, it's a Home Depot, so they have the stuff you want. But the staff seem kind of sad and disaffected. I don't know if it's because there's something going on in the background or because they work in a basement all day. Either way, I'd rather shop online... this place is sort of depressing to be in.
Everything is ok, your products and prices are amazing.. BUT some of your employees!!! I asked for something very simple and one of your male employees said " We don't have THAT!" Then I asked to a Hispanic girl employee and she very kindly drove me to the place and I found what I was looking for..
Had what I needed. Not a homeowner (e.g. house) homedepot, however, they have what you need for Manhattanite in apartments/condos. Floor staff could assist better, rather then point or tell you which aisle especially when they are not helping another customer and appear to be standing around.
The employees here are highly educated about home improvement. I had holes that needed to be patched up. I got steel wool and they recommended a foam filler that was very easy to use. Honestly they are so helpful that if I have to buy things I rather go to Home Depot than Amazon.
Stopped in to see if they had flowering plants. I was very pleased to see that they had a large selection. I purchased several and then returned two more times on separate days to get more. I especially loved that I was able to also get parsley, mint and basil plants too.
Cashier looking at her cellphone and listening to music all the time. Got mad when I had a question about my Home Depot card. Very unprofessional. Senior staff came in and helped me and gave me a discount for the trouble (I’m thankful for good managers there).
5 Stars on the customer service, Arturo helped call hardware stores in the area for my request. ZERO stars regarding the product, how does the flag ship for Home Depot NYC not have automotive products?!? That makes no sense to me, someone else explain that.
The workers were very curtious and helpful and the young lady at checkout was amazing! I believe her name is Dale. Very kind, helpful and informed. She absolutely deserves a raise Thank you Dale for all your help and just being you …
One of the coolest and surprisingly large Urban Manhattan hardware stores. The entrance on 3rd Avenue will fool you as the majority of the store is in the basement. They don't have everything, (4' x 8' sheets of plywood) but they have a lot.
Tonight is the third time I’ve visited this Home Depot and their app says they have 25+ of an item and there’s 0. Going to order what I need off Amazon. Dunno how well they’re doing, but if this store ever closes, here is a good reason why.
Thanks Charlston to help me out and begood gentlemen and good energy to help me out what i need. Ppl like him they need in this stores. Is really patience to help me and i left from homedepot happy and the stuff he help me
Very Good customer service . Attentive employees , only negative is that the store lacks Apple Pay! Had to find a bank to pull cash . Very inconvenient. Hope they update their systems to make it more customer friendly check Out process
Probably the best "service" Home Depot. Everyone is helpful and they have to be, tons of interior designers and UESiders come here. The room vignettes are fun to walk through and admire. Very clean setup and a unique store format
Great experience with terrific help. Customer service was top notch between supply knowledge to get to the correct alise to assisting with wrapping the boxes we needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for hardware or boxes.
On numerous occasions a member of the staff has gone out of their way to provide individualized assistance, inquiring about what it was that I wanted to do and making helpful suggestions that ended up saving me time and money.
A hidden little gem in the upper east side of Manhattan. Definitely worth the trip for anyone in need of any house repairs, tools, or materials. It’s a massive place and offers great service from the employees who work there.
I went to home Depot to buy some spring plants. They have bought many this week. Also in the lower floor there were families with kids in a room playing, they seemed to be having a lot of fun...I did not asked what was about.
Solid Home Depot. Have been here for various items over the years from packing materials to wall mount to gardening and they have everything. It’s a decent sized store. The staff are decently helpful, some more than others.
Horrible experience! A salesman sold me a completely wrong paint, when I specifically asked for one thing. And when I brought it back they told me they wouldn't refund it. They lost me as a customer. Very unprofessional!
I've been there once with my uncle to grab some screws to put in a new doorknob. As of today, I tried to find a vacuum cleaner and one of the associates told me that they don't sell them. Maybe I'll look over it online.
Nice clean store. Everything appears well stocked. But actually is a bit smaller than others, which means some items may not be available as in bigger ones. But overall pretty good. Great for quick visits.
Essential for all home renovation projects -- big or small. Staff are extremely technically qualified and friendly. Although at the end of the day, it's better to buy online and have the items delivered.
Who doesn't enjoy walking around HomeDepot ? Everything you need to complete that big or small DIY job. Great Prices Great Location. Even as a tourist I stocked up on some super saver priced items.
I had an issue with my levelor blinds...Izzie and Maria were most professional and helpful...great employees at Home Depot!!! As a result, I would definitely give them my business! business!
This is the most well organized and welcoming Home Depot I visited in NYC area. Always someone around to help, I dont have to search for items too long. Clean and good selection of products.
Location, location, location. The store has everything I needed. The staff was attentive and helpful. The clientele is always friendly and freely exchangs ideas. My type of store
It was amazing!! It's my first time there.A lot of things for the house, flowers, for the repair and etc.Very comfortable and convenient.I found what I needed.Recomend!!
Honestly I love it here. The staff are exceptional and kind! It’s always a great experience no matter the time of day. I’m sure you’ll find what you’re looking for
Amazing service from Yas in cleaning! Thank you so much for helping me design a rack with piping - made my trip to Home Depot an enjoyable experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was good i wood have given 5 stars but there's plenty of items they don't sell at this location which i find strange since there's soooo many buildings...(:
Looked online if they had car fuses, and called to make sure. Go to the store, staff was friendly and helpful. However out of stock of the fuses.
This is a very good place.. I Always got shopping their fir my supplies for me I'm a professional Cleaning. So I recommend anyone to shop here.
Great variety of Household items. Helpful employees. Easy to get to by transportation Bus or Train. I found exactly what I needed here.
This review is for Jonathan and Ash who gave me amazing recommendations! I could fix something in my bath! Thanks for your help guys!
Got exactly what I needed and the staff was knowledgeable and welcoming. Definitely my favorite home Depot location in the city!
Location is good. Availability of product's seems to be in abundance which I like as well. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Got a 5 gallon jug of water for my water cooler. Great service. Pushed it a cart on the elevator up to the street. …
Went to get masks - been sold out for weeks. Please re-stock! Other than that, it’s a clean, well-managed place. …
The lower level must be the size of 2 football fields... Plumbing, gardening, interior decorating, lighting. It's huge
Surprisingly nice store totally unlike the Home Depots you might find elsewhere. Exceptional service and selection.
A home depot like any other but curbside pickups n lockers for pickup also...pretty neat...parking sucks though..
