I've been purchasing all my stuff at the home depot for the past 5 years and this is by far the worst costumer service experience I've had. I did some returns today and, despite having digital receipts, I especifically asked for store credit since I do not have access to the card that was used to make the purchases. At the end of the transaction, the lady at returns hands me store credit for half of the amount and tells me the other half went automatically back to the card. Since that was exactly what I was trying to avoid, she gets the MOD to try to solve the issue. The MOD lets me know the transaction went through and there's nothing he can do. I tell him, politely, that the situation is not fair since those materials were paid for, and I paid the owner of the card for the material which means I'm basically losing those $100+ because of their mistake. He tells me "well then call your the client and get your money back", to which I reply that his answer is not acceptable and that I'll be contacting home depot instead to find a solution, since they were not providing one. To my surprise, his answer is "SURE, HAVE FUN" with a smirk. I have never felt so morally disregarded by a manager who, at no point whatsoever, tried to give a solution to my problem and walked in "to help" while having the biggest possible attitude and making me feel like I was the one to blame for the whole scenario. Situations like this should not be accepted nor endorsed by a company like yours, especially with pro xtra contractors who bring constant revenue and business to the store. I am never coming back to this location again and I strongly suggest to re educate your managers on their costumer service duties.

Staff here have no knowledge, and rather make up stuff rather than asking for help. Update Review: I called this Home Depot Morningside location to inquire about a kitchen faucet price match with Canadian Tire, and wanted to confirm if there was also a 10% match discount as detailed on the website. The first women I spoke with was rude and started her pitch about "the product must be exactly the same, the model number must be the same, everything must be the same, exact, exact blah blah". She didn't even let me tell her the product she was already up in arms to tell me NO. I did my homework and knew it was the same product. She puts me on hold a few times then transfers me to another guy who can't hear me properly, and then he transfers to someone else and the phone rings and rings with no answer. I decided to call the Home Depot at 2911 Eglinton Ave E, and they were SO FRIENDLY. They were unable to confirm that the product was the same on the Canadian Tire website (since it was missing the model number, but the pictures and product name and style were the same) and the staff suggested that I go to Canadian Tire and take a picture of the box and model number in the store to confirm its the same model, and then Home Depot would be able to price match and beat it by 10%. That's exactly what I did. I went to Canadian Tire, took a picture confirming the model number, and I was able to get price match and Price Match Guarantee and 10% discount at Home Depot at Eglinton Ave East. No problems.. Just good customer service (unlike this Morningside location). Old Reviw: Been here a few times - friendly staff, no issues.

I've been going to this location for close to 20 years. Cons: -Store manager (Jai) displayed disrespectful and rude behavior. I waited patiently for nearly half an hour to speak with him, and when I politely inquired about the possibility of reducing the price on a display model Ryobi lawnmower due to its poor condition, he responded with a stern and discourteous "No." Here's a piece of advice for Jai: An effective store manager should prioritize customer loyalty and collaborate with them rather than exhibiting attitude and disrespect. Even one of the store associates felt remorseful and extended an apology to me afterward. UPDATE: The lawnmower ended up not even powering on even with a new battery. Jai said " its brand new display model out the box and its working and if you wanna by new pay the full $498" .Now i have to try and return it, wasting even more time and money. Due to Jai' behavior and dishonesty, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. -Service and quality is going down -Prices have increased and inflated to the point where its double from a year before on some items. -Short of staff -Inventory is not usually well stocked -Products usually have a heavy layer of dust on them. -Lumber are of worse quality. Pros: -Experienced staff are knowledgeable and helpful. -Clean and Organized store.

Purchased a hardboard panel here today, all of the 1/8x24x24 are mislabeled as 1/8x24/48 so I was charged a higher price than what I was supposed to pay. I brought this to the cashier Basil's attention and he kept arguing with me telling me to read the barcode on the panel properly. I DID AND I WAS RIGHT! He gave me the run around, going back and forth between him and the lumber section about 3 times, wasting 30 mins of my time, and when he realized he's wrong he told me he can't even do anything and I have to go all the way to customer service to get the price adjusted. This store is HUGE, so its a lot of walking around. I have bad knees, it was not fun! I was literally in pain walking all over this store for a mistake that they made. The whole ordeal was not only a huge waste of time, I could have been in and out real quick, but also a massive annoyance. I go to this store as its close to my home but now I will go out of my way to go to another store. I don't want to deal with the idiocy anymore. Home Depot, please hire people who can read, and probably measure, as that seems like kind of a crucial skill for a place like Home Depot. And maybe don't argue with your customers!

On my visit to Home Depot at 60 Grand Marshall Dr , I had a very pleasant experience with a excellent customer service representative named Susan. Susan was very professional, kind, patient and listened to my problem, she has excellent negotiating skills . I ordered a list of materials from Home depot at 60 Marshall Dr to be dispatched to my house in Hamilton. One of the items on the list missed delivery, the range hood for the stove, the electrician had come to install it, when we noticed it was not delivered. I was not too happy about this when we called the store in Home depot in Hamilton they said it is on back order, they did not notify me about this back order issue. This cost me time and money. I visited the store at Marshal Dr to inquire what happened to my missing item? Susan the Home Depot representative looked into the matter and my range hood found in their store. She gave me a couple of options and worked with me to resolve the issue in a very professional way. Susan thank you very much for your help. I do appreciate it very much. Home Depot is very lucky to have you. Keep up the good work.

Ordered items that the stores has inventory in-stock. During the online order. The system asked th choose the pick date. So I chose the next day. After payment. I received an email advising me to wait for another email when items are ready to be pickup. Waited whole day and realized that the store will be closing in an hour but still no email. I decided to call. Waited 20 minutes on the phone finally a personal answer. I asked him about my order and provided the information and reason I call just to find out if my order has been missed. He answered rudely "when you haven't got the email, means your order is not ready" and he repeated that twice with an extremely unpleasant tone. Then I asked again and said "I thought you guys have this in stocks?" And before I finished. He raised his voice and repeated his statement again "WHEN YOU HAVEN'T GOT THE EMAIL MEANS YOUR ORDER IS NOT READY" WOW!!! I will never deal with a store who have customer service personal that communicate with the customer like that. I'm sorry Home Depot. I canceled my order. There's many ather hardware stores in Toronto.

I really like this Home Depot! I'm a new home owner and have no family within 300km. I'm also a Sales Manager for a telecom company. Needless to say, I frequently need help and advice with home maintenance and improvement projects. The service at this location is what sets it apart. I've spent hours talking to staff here getting their advice and wisdom. This is my favorite home improvement store. On my last visit I bought a BBQ and got material costs for a deck project I was considering. I came in around 8, spent about an hour in the lumber department talking about the deck. Then I spent an hour in the Seasonal section talking about BBQs and patio sets. The store was closing at 10 so I made my decision and paid, even though they never pressured me to hurry and get out. They helped me load it into the car. The box wouldn't fit so we actually had to open the box and further disassemble the BBQ to make it fit. By the time I left it was 1030 and the store had been closed for half hour. Their focus was on the customer, not closing and getting home. Thanks Home Depot!!!

I visited this location on Sunday. It was a research project for blinds - we need to dress 11 windows. I found 3 items of interest then we went to find a customer service person in the blinds dept. They took our name, number & email & I have yet to hear from anyone. Now my confusion also lay in the fact that we were in the store yet no one attempted to set a date/time with us for a visit. It was just repeated that someone would get back to us. I then called 2 times after that & was moved around from phone to phone, hung up on, left on hold where I ultimately got disconnected & I got so tired of waiting on a few occasions that I hung up. My husband called today & the same: transferred 7 times & didn't get connected to anyone. This is deplorable service - clearly our money isn't good enough for Home Depot. I can't imagine what would happen if someone actually answered the phone to help: when would they come do the service & install? Would we be chasing them for years just to have blinds installed in our home? I would suggest everyone take their business elsewhere.

I needed custom blinds there was a young associate who looks like an immigrant student who has been there for a long time but unable to give us a quote for custom blinds. She had to call her Manager Jai who mentioned that she needs more training. Why do you hire such students who are only looking at getting their PR status but not willing to help customers. I went twice and she was unable to give me a quote for customs blinds and even mentioned that she is unable to use the cutter. After working at the store for a long time and she is unable to help customers you should watch her walking around talking with her male friend who is visiting her at the store. The service at this store is deplorable, hire some skilled staff and those who are willing to help customers. Raghu was a nice young lad who told us that he is new and learning and even mentioned that the girl had been there at the store for a long time and was surprised that she was not able to give me a quote since she never knew the system and made no attempts to help.

I recently had a scheduled appointment with a Home Depot technician to inspect my water at 11 am. I cleared my schedule and eagerly awaited the technician's arrival, especially since I was promised a $20 gift card for the service. However, my experience turned out to be incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The technician failed to show up at the scheduled time, causing me to wait for over an hour. To compound the issue, I received a call more than an hour later, requesting to reschedule the appointment due to their delay. This lack of punctuality and communication is completely unacceptable, as I firmly believe I should have been notified well in advance of any delay or the need for a reschedule. Waiting for over an hour without any updates not only disrespected my time but also raises concerns about Home Depot's commitment to customer service. Moreover, the promised $20 gift card was never received, further adding to my disappointment. It's disheartening to witness Home Depot failing to fulfill their commitment.

Our excitement turned into a nightmare. While assembling, the box contains 8 pcs of the left corner support bar, instead of 4 pcs each right and left. We have called Hampton Bay customer service and redirect the situation to home depot instead. Last night, we went to 3 branches and no one was able to help us. There was a display on the floor and the manager, Mr. JR would not allow us to exchange the parts nor replace them with a new one. His recommendation was to wait till August or to come to the home depot at 6 am in the morning and wait for the cargo truck, or put a hole in the post and make it as a DIY project. Instead of excitement we felt humiliated begging for something that we must be enjoying. This $ 800++ piece of gazebo turned out to be one of the worst decisions we made in purchasing something from home depot. No one had helped us. I can't imagine summer and this will be a conversational piece in our backyard :( It will be a constant reminder to us how we FAILED as a customer :(

Not a pleasant experience. Went in to get some lumber which I needed cut. Couldn't find an associate in the area. After walking around and looking for 5 minutes I found an associate walking by the lumber area and asked him to page someone from lumber. The response was "I can't help you with that my pager is not working. Maybe if you walk around you'll find someone" I told him that I had been walking around and looking for someone without any luck for 5 minutes and maybe he could talk to someone else and find me some assistance but the associate just walked away. After 5 minutes of walking around I eventually found an associate to cut the lumber I needed but unfortunately that wasn't cut to the right size either. The associate confirmed the measurement 3 times and still cut the piece a quarter inch too small. Definitely not going to return to this home depot for anything that requires interaction with employees. Great customer service home depot.

I ordered something on December 1st that said it would be delivered on December 4-6. Finally after Christmas I called and cancelled the order as I was able to get it from somewhere else. About a week later I got an email saying it was in transit. I called again and cancelled. They said I would have to refuse the package which I did. I have received multiple calls from Home Depot credit saying I need to make a payment. I have called the store and Home Depot credit and they both say I have to talk to the other one. I have spoken to multiple managers at the store and get told they will call me back and no one ever does. It is February 22 and I still don’t have a refund on the card. I got a notification that my credit rating went down A LOT for missed payments and I still can’t seem to speak with anyone. This is ridiculous. How do you charge someone for something they don’t have??? What do I have to do to get my money back???

Went here to do return and i went to the line for return as there is a sign saying line up here for return. Lady on the door who claims to be the manager said i need to line up on the same line as the entrance line up. Went to ask for an explanation why there is a sign saying line up here for return and she gave me an answer that didn’t make any sense. And note that when i was on the line it was not only me that was confused with the line situation. Hope that lady is not really the manager as she was not competent enough to run this store. As they are the one who put up the sign and people try to follow directions that they instructed and them self not follow this instructions. She claim that she needs to count the people getting inside the store. I can’t accept this explanation as the line leads to the same door and she is standing right at the door to count anyway.

I do not have a good experience with van rentals, I went to the store personally to ask about the policies related to van rentals, I asked TWICE and I have been told that it is on “ first come first serve basis” rental. I called one day prior to ask if there are small vans available and I was being told that they will be, we went in the morning , at 6:30 to reserve the place in line if there are more people interested in renting small van , we were the first to be attended just to be told that the van that we are interested is reserved… but there was no reservation available at this location ( it was at the end of April) so I am not certain how it was even possible; I was really dissatisfied with how that works- no reservation and then at the counter I was being told that the van is reserved… Very disappointed

Worst home depot I have been to. None of the staff seem to know what they are doing. None are very helpful. And good luck finding them they all seem to be on break every time I am there. Unfortunately this is the closest and most convenient location for driving distance, I have been to this home depot many many times over the years. Recently went to the store to buy an item that said 4 in stock. Get there don't have them, and can't even be bothered to update their inventory count days later, still says 4 in stock. Another common item in stock at most other stores (in the hundreds) zero stock at this location, made the mistake of not checking beforehand. Too often I have to check stock online at various stores and go to specific locations to buy items.

I was just looking for a vanity light bulb. There was no sales associates around to even help look for it. It took me 10 minutes just to find a sales associate, and when I found one, he was not willing to help me. He just told me where I'll be able to find my light bulb, until I insist him to bring me to there. When the light bulb was not there, he said the map told me it was there. I honestly don't know how to help you, but I'll help you look for someone who did. I had to hunt for another one, when I found another one, he/she blantely ignored me. Until I find another one, and this time it was the manager who saw me frustrated and demanded for help. And then she finally grabbed me a technician to help me out.

A big, huge thank you to Elijah who loaded my car today, April 30th at noon at the Home Depot location on Grand Marshall Drive in Scarborough Ontario. 8 bags of soil & a lot of plants were carefully placed in my car for me. Elijah approached me asking if he could help me with a big smile. Such a pleasant, helpful, happy young man. He even put a plastic bag in the trunk of my car so it wouldn't get dirty. I'm 71 years old & was parked legally in a wheelchair spot. Elijah should be recognized as a Top Employee in my opinion. Keep up the great work ethic Elijah & keep smiling. The curbside experience at the Morningside and Sheppard location is ridiculous! I received an email confirmation stating that the order was ready for pickup (However it was clearly NOT). Upon arrival, I clicked on "I am here" per the email instructions, however no employee ever came out. I had to call them and go up to the door multiple times to inquire about my items. On top of that, several other customers came after I did and still received their items before I did. Management needs to seriously look into this issue and rectify it as the curbside pickup is horrible. If I could give this location 0 Stars I would! Save your time and energy and go to Canadian Tire!

I know it's challenging times but a company of this magnitude should be more organized concerning curbside pick-up. Once you get to the parking lot the phone number that you call to let someone know you are there is the same as customer service - so the wait is forever before your call is answered. The other issue; online orders no where on the site during your order process does it say you may have to wait up to 5 days to get an email stating that your order is ready for pick-up. Guys hire more people to pick orders and get a dedicated line and service Reps to take calls for curbside pick-up. The Government is offering much assistance for you to hire workers!

Worst customer service at the Sheppard and Morningside location! We bought blinds yesterday that were cut too short, actually they were cut 3 different sizes and when my husband went back to the store he was rudely told to 'just go get a refund then' and that the machine doesn't cut the blinds precisely and they're not custom cut. Why are they advertised as being Custom Cut then if they're NOT and why didn't they tell us that before we bought?? He then asked to speak to the manager who also said to get a refund. We will never go to this location again, so rude and definitely don't care about their customers.

I love this neighbourhood so I come to this Home Depot specifically to buy any home repair materials i need, but I will likely just buy my tools off of Amazon in the future as its generally less expensive anyway. I encountered a Staff member at the self checkout at this location with very unprofessional communication and demeanor. I recognize one Staff member is not representative of an entire store but the fact that communication of this type is tolerated and normalized in that store demonstrates that there are clear issues with professionalism within this location. I would recommend shopping elsewhere.

The staff are unhelpful and disrespectful. I asked a young man working there for help and he was the RUDEST salesperson I'd ever encountered. I asked for help finding something. While trying to explain what I was looking for he laughed at me, belittled me and said "what are you talking about" in the most snarky way. I got fed up and walked away flabbergasted. Wish I stuck around to find a manager - if I ever spoke to a customer like that in my job I would be fired instantly. When I got home I found what I was looking for on Amazon in a few minutes. Will never shop at this location again.

Im trying to cancel one of two rental car reservations that I made online, so I called and I'm currently still on hold 18 minutes and 26 seconds into my call. So far, I've been transferred exactly 6 times over separate phone lines within the store (with more to come I'm sure). Its a simple request. It seems like no one wants to help me or no one knows what the number is for the transfer to the Rental trucks department. Just reading the rest of these reviews tells me this is a poorly managed store. 23 minutes and 15 seconds in and I've been put on 3 more holds then they hung up.

I was at the store on Grand Marshall in Scarborough Friday morning, May 6 and I got the best service, from a young man in the garden centre. I wish I had his name so he would be recognized. I was buying garden earth and was looking for a cart when he asked if he could help. He certainly did, from loading it on the cart through check-out then put them in my trunk. I commended him for his great service, and he said “not only do I work here, I’m a customer too”. I said I hoped he got the same service I just did. What a great experience. This employee is a credit to your company.

This location is not near our home but we we went here after we could not find a nail gun to rent at our local Home Depot Store. When my husband went to rent a nail gun from this location, many were in stock. But the young fellow working the counter left the battery for the nail gun on the shelf!!!! My husband drove 25 minutes back home only to find out the battery was missing. No apology from the tool rental representative. Just a "my bad". Ridiculous! Who should pay for the gas for all that driving back and forth 30 minutes one way??

I called the Morningside Home Depot near closing time as I was looking for a BBQ that was selling out quickly. I was fortunate enough to get Prathushaa on the phone. She went above and beyond to assist me, even after the store closed. I was blown away at her stellar customer service! She was patient and did not rush me. I live close to the Eglinton Home Depot and have never had good service there. I definitely will drive the extra mile to the Morningside location. I hope the managers there know how lucky they are to have her!

Great place to get what you need for around the house projects. Be careful where you park. Do not park anywhere near the contractor side. I rented a vehicle from here and I left my vehicle in the parking lot. When I got back one of my tires had more the 5 metals and nails were in it. I called the management the fallowing day and reported it. The manager's answer was "this happens from time to time and it has happened to few employees as well and that he can't do anything about it". I certainly didn't expect that answer.

I was completely disappointed with my recent online order from Home Depot Morningside Scarborough location. I purchased both a small and large deck box. Both were delivered damaged! The smaller one had a six inch hole in one of the corners. The larger unit looked like it was attacked by animals. It was put together with tape. I can't believe both the store and the delivery company would ship items to a customer in this manner. My rating is 0 ZERO!! Looks like Home Depot was only interested in making a sale.

The store itself was well organized,the staff were able to help me locate the parts I needed without a problem. The man was quite funny and told some jokes as he helped us, it was pretty cool that he was able to do his job and make my mother and I laugh. However, we experienced some problems with the self checkout machines and the alarms, as we were leaving we were kept behind for a little longer due to the alarms going off... overall it wasn't a bad experience, and there were next to no problems.

Their customer service is an ideal example of "how to provide the worst customer service of all time". Waiting here in the line for more than a hour and within this time they serve only three customer. So about 20 mins per customer. I still have nine person in front of me. So at this rate another 3 hours. I requested customer service to bring some more people and manager give me an angry look and said it is how it is and we are in the same boat. I didn't understand what did that mean?

My brother and I were in the refrigerator aile feeling a bit lost with all the options. Patrick came to our rescue. He was incredibly kind and patiently answered all our queries. He also walked us through how to efficiently use the Home Depot website. He was very informative and I have to say he turned our day around completely after being given the run around at other furniture stores. He went above and beyond. Checked the website before I went, they were showing that they had 173 units of what I needed. When I got there, there was NONE. The first man I asked, older guy, was rude in his response, asked another employee, he just didn’t wish to be acknowledged. Asked a third employee, he was nice enough to help, told me very politely, that they didn’t hv any in stock and the website is clearly off and doesn’t know when more will come in. The place is easy to find. And there is always parking

Not recommended for appliances. Purchased new stove, fridge, dishwasher, range hood and washing machine from the Brick. At the Brick they offered me a reasonable price and very friendly with whole process. Attempted to purchase a dryer from home depot and not willing to offer a fair price. Spoke to manager and not willing to give me the time of day to negotiate at all and no friendly service. Recommend not purchasing appliances here, do yourself a solid and go to the Brick.

This is my local depot and 3 major strengths that I have noticed at this store are 1) the tool rental section - absolute excellent service and knowledge amongst the staff 2) the paint section - again very knowledgeable staff that go above and beyond 3) the seasonal outdoor area - exceptional customer service and insight to help consumers. That is not to say that the rest of the store is not well run but these 3 areas stand out! There is plenty or parking here.

My recent experience with the Home depot, Morningside was frustrating. I bought a gas stove with a microwave with range hood. Now, I can't live in my house due to smoke. The range hood has no capacity to pump out the air. In their advertisement, there's a provision of return within 60 days. But the customer service didn't allow me to return it. I contacted the LG company, their technician also couldn't fix it. But they are not ready to give a return note.

I had very bad experience with van rental there. I was back at the store with van 20 minutes before the designated time. The old associate of the store (not the regular person)was very slow and went with another van rental guy just before us and took hours. Even if it’s not our problem he charged us extra money. When asked he said you speak with customer service. The lady at customer service was very rude she didn’t have time to listen.

Ann from painting department was amazing. She is knowledgeable of the product. Am so happy, she was in the department to help me out with the wrong paint I got earlier in the morning from another employee that didn’t have the knowledge I needed at that time. Also, when I got to the returning dep. Roshani , the cashier was so friendly and gave an excellent service. Ann&Roshani, thanks a lot. You are both just amazing.

This home depot is decent. Now I'm not a builder or contractor but my husband is. I don't generally like these kinds of stores, but I can't give a bad review just based on that. I can, however, give a very positive review based on the fact they are clean, well organized and the associates know where things are. They're polite, respectful and know their stuff. My husband finds what he needs every time.

Everytime I visit this location the associates have zero clue about the products that’s in the ilse they’re working in… management is never around and they all have their personal phones out and texting and making personal calls really horrible service I’m surprised this is apart of Home Depots policy to ignore customer service and be in their personal devices on working hours

I have been here many times recently and the staff members are always very pleasant and helpful in general. Lacey is exceptional. Each time she has helped ,she has gone above and beyond and the other day she saw me in another department(remembered me)and stopped to talk about the project she helped me with the last time she assisted me. I thought that was very nice.

I am a contractor, for the very first time ever I had a very bad experience from the department manager, whom called himself manager but he didn’t look like a manager. He was very bossy with personnel behavior. Hope he will get a very good customer service or customer care training at least to be a good fit as a department manager in a big company like home depo.

The products are fine, but curbside pick-up was very slow at this location. It was definitely longer than the 3 other locations that I have used. I sat for approximately 25 minutes before my order arrived. If you are in a hurry I wouldn't use this location or come with a longer wait time in mind. The employee was pleasant enough though. Glad they are still open.

I had amazing experience with Mondele in Flooring. It was 8.45 pm and closing time. Material i needed was not on shelf and upon checking Mondele said he will go back and check it. I didn't wanted him to work past closing time to as I needed large quantities. He not only searched item but also pulled out ( from container) to help me. Thank you Mondele

The store is a little hidden from the main roads. Some sale items not in stock as indicated on website vs store computer stock so a little disappointing but staff were very helpful in trying to find low stock items. They did suggest ordering online and pickup but I had hoped to actually see the item ie. What it looked like in person before buying.

Last Saturday, Supervisor Debbie really helped us in completing a transaction that was stuck in a technical glitch. She was efficient in handling the problem, showed courtesy, very positive attitude and top notch customer service. The store manager, please give her a kudu. Great job, Debbie, keep it up. It's a disaster! I ordered one small item at 2:30pm and if you want it by 8pm you must call several times and beg them to pick it for you..... When you do finally get their email and to pick it up you will wait a minimum 45min for them to bring it to you. Just go to Canadian Tire, it's much quicker... Wish I did that!

Very Unorganized and super long wait times for online order pickups. Make sure you are prepared to wait atleast 1-2 hours in your car for pick-up. Under staffed, confirmed by one of the employee. Not recommend if you have the product in other stores like Lowes and Rona as they are super efficient for online orders.
