Food Being just my wife and I, we ordered one starter and two mains. For the starter, we choose the tomato bruschetta flatbread ($14) and for the mains, the lamb chops ($29) and the Moroccan spicy chicken supreme ($25). The tomato bruschetta was a pizza style offering with lashings of fresh tomato, cheese and onion and smothered in a smooth balsamic vinegar. It was a meal. My wife’s lamb chops were tasty, well cooked and came with crispy potatoes, beans, a small serve of coleslaw, a little bowl of gravy and a little bowl of mint sauce. My Moroccan spicy chicken was succulent and tender. The cous cous and fig apricot relish were the perfect accompaniment and the whole concoction was covered in a creamy tzatziki sauce. We both enjoyed our meals. Ambience We lunched on a busy Sun afternoon in May, and the place was packed, giving it a lively, energetic and fun vibe. We found the inside dining area a tad too hectic for our liking so we decamped to the terrace outside, where tables were decorated with colourful green and white striped tablecloths. That suited us fine and we were quite happy dining there in the warm autumn sunshine. There were a few other occupied tables outside but the acoustics were fine and we were easily able to converse. Even though we were out of the line of sight of the wait staff, there was no compromise on the service. If you choose to sit inside you’ll find a large, airy and comfy space that’s been decorated in bright and cheerful colours with high ceilings and large low hanging lamps. There are cute signposts around the place and colourful wall murals just near the toilet and an interesting retro petrol pump. There are carpets throughout the venue, adding that homely and warm touch. It just had a thoroughly happy and cheerful buzz to it with tons of families enjoying a day out. Cost Drinks were expensive and we paid 15 pesos for a schooner of ale and a bottle of apple cider. Food costs were a bit more reasonable and it was a nice surprise to discover that long-suffering seniors at least get a 20% discount on menu items. Consequently, we paid 54 for one starter, the aforementioned very generous bruschetta, and two mains, the chicken and the lamb. All up, with three drinks included we paid 75. I guess a year or two ago this would have been 50. So thanks to the idiots who run the Reserve Bank for destroying the purchasing power of our money. Toilets There are ample clean and well provisioned toilets just behind the main indoor dining areas, and you can enjoy the interesting murals and retro petrol pump that I mentioned, on your way in and out. Service Service was polite and friendly. Wait staff are neatly dressed and professional in their attitude. We had booked directly through the hotel’s website and our table was ready for us when we arrived. Of course, there are different ways to order, either directly at the bar, or using the Aust Venue Company app. I used the app then went up to the front bar counter to pay, but it took ages to finalise the transaction. Staff seemed unsure how to handle the seniors discount, rewards points and payments. To my annoyance, they wouldn’t accept cash. But apart from that, it all flowed smoothly and after eventually sorting and paying, food came out quickly and in the correct order. Summary We had a pleasant lunch here on the terrace outside enjoying the warm and balmy Brisbane autumn weather. Food was nicely prepared, portion sizes were generous and the service was friendly and efficient (apart from aforementioned issues with app ordering and rewards redemption). It had a bright, happy and fun ambience. Add to that easy parking right outside and ample clean and well provisioned toilets and you have all the ingredients for a perfect afternoon or evening out with friends or family. Memo Just for the record, the official name of this restaurant is “Roadhouse Grill”, even though in it's in the Jindalee Hotel. And to add to the confusion, RHG seems to be a brand name, with six hotels sharing it, I presume, all under the umbrella of the Australian Venue Company.

I was sorry to say that, but I think I need to share the experience here with others, after thinking for few days. Been there on October 5 Monday night. It was really terrible. I ordered BBQ seafood platter. The seafood was quite cold and obviously the fish and seafood had stayed there for sometimes after it was cooked. However, the bad thing was some scales were still there (sorry for posting such terrible photo). The salad veggies were soggy, just like rubbish (sorry to say that). The dessert (cheesecake) was not good quality, but at least, it was displayed nicely. Thank you! The two stars given were for the friendly service by the waitresses there. They had been doing good job as there were about 30 people that night with a big table of 14 persons, even though I waited at the entrance for nearly five minutes. Really disappointed, as it's my first time visit. By the way, the toilet was so dirty too. Please have a look.

We have been coming here for years however this year they were the third venue out of our specific Easter weekend to see who served the best chips and entrees. We had a tasty beer here ...nice and cold. The chips we ate were second to none with a great crunch and a super fluffy interior, also had a generous tasty salt seasoning. Also ordered the chicken wings with blue cheese sauce. We love our chicken wings and might I say we were not dissapointed. They were crunchy, mouth watering and fell off the bone. Dipping these bad boys in the blue cheese sauce and chilli sauce was delectable and might I say we are stoked we decided to order a large rather than the small 6 piece chicken. Highly recommend the Arancini balls for the entree also. We get them everytime we see them on a menu and these were the best we have had thus far Thank you!

Currently my go to local pub for great meals. A recently changed menu offers some less than typical items which is great! Unfortunately the oysters Kirkpatrick have gone. The main bar or small side bar in the Roadhouse Grill are good for a catch up drink. Sometimes a Saturday night band is worth getting along for. For those into Karaoke Friday night is the go. On Sunday there is usually a band from about 2-4pm for a chill out . There are also special event days e.g. Melbourne Cup, Father's Day, Easter with special package deals for the event including food and an arrival drink. They are special menu days too. Fur example currently Wednesday is Scnitzel day $15 (more for extras e.g. Parmigana ). Meals are usually promptly served and hot! Chips are crunchy. Salad and vege options with potato with sour cream. A good selection of beers and wines so you will find something to suit.

Went for dinner with friends on Friday night & watched the Ross Wilson gig. One of the busiest nights we have ever seen at the Jindalee & we were expecting really long delays with our meal. Our meals arrived so much faster than we had anticipated with such a crowd!!! my husband and I shared the farmers plate, salad & the grilled barramundi which was cooked to perfection. Thankyou so much & a wonderful performance after dinner. The staff & management were on top of everything and making sure everything went smoothly.

Staff are lovely, atmosphere is great. Very family friendly, it was nice to see a lot of families with young kids (where I live it's not often any kids except mine are out to dinner). Food was average. Portions were small and not overly great. Pricey for what you get, but in saying that everything else was positive so I was unbothered and would definitely give it another go. Kids play area is great, not huge but there's enough to keep them occupied. My kids are aged 3, 7 and 8 and the kids area was great for them.

Awful Food I never write negative reviews but I had to with the food I ate last night. But let’s start off with the positives, There was a nice atmosphere and good fast service. But now let’s go to the food honestly would never go eat there again and just awful, Steak sandwich was dry and stale and just felt like it was dumped in a microwave and handed to us, Sweet and sour pork was absolutely disgusting. Looking at other reviews maybe I just got unlucky but definitely won’t recommend this to anyone else

I don't ever do sub optimal reviews however our experience just cant go unanswered. This place has such potential but it is completely let down by not good meals at premium prices. Staff are very enthusiastic but they just have little to no knowledge to make the simplest decision or answer the most basic of questions. I will not return but do look forward to hearing that they have really turned it around and made it what it could be!

Went for lunch with my son and girlfriend for my birthday as the last time we were there it was great. I am disappointed with the service or should I say lack of. The waitress said she would bring menus to the table, that did not happen. Not given a jug of water at table had to get it from bar when last time waitress brought it without asking. The meals were slow to come and small in size for what they cost, and it was quite maybe 5 tables of customers.we won't return.

Love coming here for a few beers in the outside area, but would love to see a new menu that’s not so bland and boring. The food is extremely average, not great, not terrible. Arrived before the rush. Ordered some yummy food including a side of fries with aioli. Food came out quickly but no side dish? Went to the counter where they printed out the receipt. No fries. The Jindalee Hotel is a cool spot to catch a game and grub down. The vibe is super chill, and the staff's on point—friendly and all over it. The food's legit, seriously tasty stuff, and the prices won't wreck your wallet. You get good bang for your buck. Pretty disappointed with the food and service here. We came on a Tuesday night when it was fairly quiet. I got the rosemary lamb filo and it was COLD and nearly frozen in the middle. I never send me food back but had to because I couldn’t eat it and it was $30. The waitress staff didn’t seem to care. Our starter plates weren’t even cleared so we had to remove them ourselves as the mains came out. So overall, overpriced for what you receive.

We were all very happy with our meals. We booked a table, which I recommend if you have a group. Good variety on the menu. Friendly staff. Only issue was that our meals weren't served at the same time. Some were served 10 minutes earlier. It was very busy, but it would have been better to eat at the same time.

Our second time here and we loved it. My steak was so juicy and my wife also got a second lamb shank because They thought the first one was too small not that I noticed. Also for lunch and dinner up until the end of November 2020 they have a 30% off offer. It was very quiet during the day, very Coverd safe. Now you order on the app and pay and they bring it to your table. Thank you we will be back soon with the rest of the family.

Hats off to the staff who were friendly even when their EFTPOS machines were down they were very composed and helpful. Great feed at the restaurant, even though my 250G rib eye was no where near that size, manager came and apologised and handed us a drinks voucher for the bar. That's service for you. Food was great, free entertainment and staff that make you want to come back. Go Jindalee Hotel! Worthy of 5 Stars

Having eaten at the hotel before, I was expecting a little more from the experience I had this week for lunch. In short, the seafood BBQ seemed excessively priced for what appeared on my plate...a smallish piece of barramundi, though tasty, and just two prawns and four or five thin slivers of calamari. The chips, however, were plentiful, filled up the plate and were hot. Poor value, I'm sorry to say.

Had a great dinner! Place was busy and buzzing on a Saturday night, but food was served really quickly! Wished the portion was bigger for the pork belly, but the lamb shank was really well cooked with a large portion!

I wish I could give five stars. It is a five star place. I go there frequently. Food is good, selection of drinks awesome. So why one star? Well, the price of stone wood pale ale pint is 16$. A lovely place for a meal. Clean, spacious and very attentive service. You can chose where you sit - after being greeted by hosts and then order at the counter. Meals were great value for the price and for a mid week the place had a good mix of couples, families, and small groups. I will be back!

The food on average was good although the serving sizes were very small especially for the price. Hopefully this was just unfortunate as previously we haven't experienced that on prior occasions.
