A good mid-sized restaurant. A MUST TRY PLACE good food. They serve Mangalore cuisine along with other North Indian dishes also. So you have options here for food. ASK Review A - Ambience - The area is located on main road with lot of other restaurants nearby. Small entrance, stairs leading to first floor open restaurant. You have a small waiting area. Being weekend place was crowded. Needs improvement on crowd management. Since this being a small place to dine out. And they do not take reservations it becomes difficult to manage crowd. This place closes at 3.30pm for lunch. You have the live dosa, appam counter near the waiting area. That looks a little congested. Otherwise dining place is fine. Staff - Staffs were good, looks like owner takes good care of them Except for one staff who picked up a fight with a customer probably could have been handled better. Because these things could turn off other customers while eating. Staffs were patient even in stress because of crowd. Kitchen - Food was very good. All dishes were served well. Though one or 2 dishes took time but others were on time. Best part i felt was all dishes were mildly salted. Usage of coconut milk enhanced the taste of the dishes. Veg gassi and their ghee roast items must try. In the last don't miss their coconut jelly which is soothing after all the spices you have eaten. But one coconut jelly is good enough for 2 to 3 people. Few observations & personal feedback. Customer is king . We can't get away with this fact while we are in the service industry. ❌Please do not serve food in broken bowl or plates. Ask the chef to check the food plate before serving. Will note elaborate on that. ❌ Please handle crowd management I know we can't please everyone. But overall enjoyed the food.

The food is good. But the vibe did not match our expectations of having a good dinner. They should probably mention on google that they have cats at the restaurant. That too not pets! I am allergic to cats. After ordering the food. We got to know about the cat. Had to rush out soon, as I started to show the signs of allergies. When complained to the owner. She said this cat doesn't spread any diseases. Little did she know she was talking to a doctor (Health care professional himself), who knows more than the google she claimed to search about cats. On her behalf, i am requesting if someone wants to adopt the cat please help her in it. And those who have allergies. Please don't visit this place at all. Also, later today when I looked over the reviews. Found an explanation from her end that cats don't roam over the food. And that they can't be cruel and remove the cats. Well, on that note, I would like to comment by saying, there is a rescue team of animals, who comes to take unwanted animals from such places safely. And they take a good care of them. And if that also doesn't work, then maybe you should get her vaccinated, and train to sit in a particular area. And post your restaurant as a pet friendly restaurant. Also, Owners of good restaurants like yours, needs to take full responsibility of the animals roaming around the restaurant. So that they don't affect the customers. Thank you!

We have had our lunch here and is the first visit . To avoid rush , we were here by 1pm & could get seats easily. We were attended by Mrs Prathiksha Naik , owner and taken our orders. Based on her advice we had the following dishes. Kane Masala Fry, Silver fish Rava Fry as starters alongwith Sol Kadi as an appetiser. Prawns Ghassi and Boiled rice for Lunch All these items were tasty and home made like. We ordered Crab chilly and Prawns ghee roast + Neer Dosa for parcel for my daughter and she enjoyed both the dishes. Tender coconut jelly was very nice and innovative. Desert was duddani , ragi halwa , cooling and very healthy dish ,was very nice. We are very happy to dine here and support our GSB lady entrepreneur. This is my Second review. There is a huge difference from my first visit. The taste of your food is improved. I had tandoori chicken , Butter naan & butter chicken. It was well cooked and tasty too. **********××××××××*********** My review in first visit. The Light House Is a roof Top Restaurant with Great Ambience. The service was top class and customers are invited by big smile by the staff . Staffs are very friendly. Place is calm and clean and best place for friends and family get together . But so i m disappointed with the taste of food. The Taste of Chickhen and Mutton biryani was identical . Biriyani fragrance was so dull and masala was getting blend with the rice . It was less spicy and mutton was not cooked well. Egg fried was yummy and the north India curry again disappointed me. Dragon chicken was good but Chickhen was hard and not juicy . Paneer served was good and tasty . I expect a taste in food but this restaurant failed to impress me. Everything is fine and great in the restaurant but not the taste in food. The restaurant is very good in preparing tasty foods. We had veg dishes. Started our dinner with lemon coriander soup. The soup was the best amongst I had till date. Next paneer fry kind of thing I don't remember the dish name. But it was spicy and very much good in taste. Spicy lovers should try this starter. Egg Manchurian was very good, garlic were fried really well which dominated the taste. Baby corn pepper dry was perfectly fried. French fries was too good. It would be really good if they had included peri peri french fries in their menu. Ghee rice and dal felt like Ghar ka khana. Chocolate milkshake was good in taste but it should have been more thick. Pulpy grape juice was good. Everyone must dry these dishes when you visit the restauran. They are worth trying. The price of French fries seemed to quite high. But other than that every other rates were economical and worthy.

I ordered kori rotti the quintessential Mangalorean dish, to be thoroughly disappointed, especially at a restaurant that claims to specialize in the cuisine. The gravy was doused in excessive garam masala and spices, of which I could not take more than a few bites. While the staff and management were courteous and tried multiple times to make it right it ended up with pretty much the same result. I tried to force myself to eat but couldn't - paid the not so cheap bill and left midway. My lunch thoroughly ruined and stomach still empty. I'm skeptical of restaurants that have too wide a menu and many cuisines - they obviously don't specialize in any. They have quick ways of using ready-made masalas and tossing together a dish in two minutes. While it might work for some dishes like starters it clearly doesn't for other's. I'm certain they are doing what they know best - this is just feedback. Hiring a chef that's a specialist can help.

This is a great place to get Mangalore style food - seafood and otherwise. The vibe is relaxed and homely. Food too is good: enjoyed the prawn ghee roast, chicken koliwada, kunda pura chicken and prawn biryani along with neer dosas and butter naans. The service was warm and we got our food quite quickly.

The Neer dosa and Aapams with veg stew is just amazing for the vegetarians and the Prawns ghee roast with the Aapams for the non-vegetarians. The deserts (Ragi Manni in Konkai) to finish off, is like the icing on the cake.

Service is good, ambiance is good but the food, at the vegetarian food tastes really bad & is extremely overpriced.Newly started place, the fried rice is really bland. They either put too much spice in the main course or no spice at all. Bread seems to dry up after 5-10 mins. Lemon chicken not upto mark. Staff are really co-operative. Visited the place again after lockdown lifted. I had ordered mutton rogan josh with butter kulcha. Rogan was dripping with oil, I could literally pour the oil to a tumbler. The taste was bad this time. I've been here previously as well but this time, the gravy was awful. The kulcha had too much butter & got extremely stretchier with time. Gulab jamoon was too hard. It was money down the drain. I'd visit this place only for ambience

Light house is an average restaurant on New Bel Road. I have been there twice so far. My family likes to have Neeru Dosa and Chicken Ghee Roast. The ghee roasted they serve is not an authentic but what serve in the name of ghee roast is yummy and goes will with neeru dosa. A decent ambience restaurant, average service and decent service. We tried the Rava fried Anjal Fish and It was okay. To wrap it up can visit this restaurant if you want a change or bored of your regular restaurants on New Bel Road.

Hands down, one of the best sea food place Bangalore can offer. I have visited The Lighthouse twice and the food has been amazing on both occasions. I cannot simply stop raving about their crab sukka and special prawn starter. The sea food offered here is very fresh and juicy. This time we also tried the solkadi and goli soda and both were refreshing drinks. Our main course consisted of anjal pulimunchi, neer dosa,mackarel tawa fry and boiled rice, and it was really satiating to our taste buds. To top it off, we ended up with Gudbud which was mind-blowing as well Must visit and highly recommended !

The restaurant is located on 80 feet road off of New BEL Road. Ambience is perfect. I ordered the king fish fry and silver fish curry. The fish was fresh and absolutely delicious. To accompany all that, was delicious Solkadhi(Kokam drink). The service was impeccable! The owner of the restaurant was going around to the tables to make sure everything was ok. The hospitality of this restaurant is truly amazing, you can give 100 out of 10! The staffs are very friendly and good to see them always having a real smiling face. The food is amazing that to in good amount. I have tried veg and non-veg, both worth having over there. Must try Mangalorian Potato, Mirchi Roti, Shorba, stuffed kulcha very nicely prepared, fresh lime sweet, tandoori chicken, Paneer, chineses. All the items are upto the mark. Lastly, the owner has so good gesture to go to each table and asking how about the food and comfort! After a long time i had good food served by good people! Thank you!

Must say. One of the best place for coastal cuisine. Matchless taste. Its a heaven for sea food lovers. For me, the best dishes would be the Ghee roasts- prawns & chicken. A pleasant place to visit with your friends and family for a nice lunch or dinner. The ambience is good and the owner works hard and seems to be genuinely interested in her work. Coming to food, the north Indian cuisine are very good with paneer butter masala being my favorite. The soup was the star for me as a starter as it was very creamy and delicious. Although I've only posted vegetarian food, this place I think specializes in seafood. All in all, definitely worth going and try the food.

First visit here. Wanted to try some food which was light. Selected Neer Dosa and King Fish Curry. It was really awesome. Incompatible and irresponsible staff. I had ordered a Paneer Khurchan Masala from this restaurant through Swiggy whereas the staff messed up and sent me a some Chicken recipe. More importantly, I asked them to send a replacement order as a remedial action but they arrogantly denied saying we don't have delivery personnel. Swiggy has initiated the refund but I'll ensure that the restaurant be penalized for such incompatible and ignorant behaviour. A pathetic and disappointing experience.

Oh, a very nice place serves variety of foods from all types of veg to all types of non veg food. Mismerising ambience with unique lighting, paintings, pictures on walls, spacious, high quality furniture,fixtures & fittings. We found owner herself involves in kitchen,interact with customers. Prawn Ghee Roast, Crab Soup, Sea Food, Tender Coconut Jelly

The food is great. Definitely try the prawn ghee roast, Honey chilli chicken, and mixed fried rice. Approx 300-400 per person. The owner of the place is also very nice. She comes and takes feedback about the food. Also, it is very close to IISC. I totally recommend it!

Beautiful Ambiance, excellent service. Felt food was little bland but it was plain and nice. Needs bit more improvement in taste. Giving it a 5 star presuming you would improve better. I know how businesses suffer with low ratings which i don't want to do.

The Light House checks all the boxes on my list of a good restaurant ✓ Perfect Ambience ✓ Deliciously good food ✓ Quick service ✓ Beautiful presentation ✓ Amazing desert ✓ Super friendly owner who is always around to help or recommend The rava fried prawns (sorry.. couldn't take a picture in time ) and fish fry were my favourite. Perfectly cooked..crisp..and tasty !! Would I recommend the restaurant? ~ ABSOLUTELY ~

Amazing ambience. Food: have tried a lot of their dishes, and honestly nothing disappoints. Their veg seekh kebab is just too good. Try there moong dal halwa... So tasty! My friend loved it. Interms of pricing, it's on the higher side. But the quality they serve is awesome.

Their crispy spring rolls and corn basket are the perfect, light and bursting with flavor. But the real star is the Szechuan fried rice - fluffy, spicy, and SO good, I had to order it again at home after a few days. The sweet & tangy goli soda is the perfect finishing touch. Warm ambiance, friendly service, and good food! I really loved the food here.

After hearing so many things about this resturant, finally had been here. Almost all dishes are Mangalore based and very tasty. The staff are super professional. The ambience is creatively built. Parking here is a major problem. Dessert here felt like home made and very tasty as well.

Loved the ambience. Behaviour of staff members are really great. The food was really good, the ambience makes you think it might be too expensive but its not. Its little above average cost but the management along with the quality makes it look nice. The restaurant is open from one side which makes it really nice to hangout. Loved it and will really visit again.

A good place to eat out with family. Out of many things on the menu, Shorba soup is a must try. We ordered Veg. hakka noodles, at first they forgot to give sauces and later on when they kept sauces on our table after 2 requests, chilli sauce was having foul smell. Interiors are good. Sufficient lightening decors Clean washrooms. Friendly staff.

A great restaurant with good food. Coastal food is great here. The restaurant is mostly crowded which in itself speaks about the delicacy. You will find all sorts of Goli Fizz drinks here- it is a local produce cold drink ok Karnataka.

An excellent place for seafood, coastal food lovers. They make you feel at home and hospitality is top notch. Loved the ambience and the restaurant is located on the main road with easy car parking access. Highly recommend for folks who love to explore coastal food in Namma Bengaluru.

Had one of the most best food and experience here .. such hospitable people... Great ambiance and awesome food .. must visit for all seafood lovers ...

Chicken tikka masala is good with butter naan....paneer chilli and babycorn chilli are just ok
