The Luxx is a time capsule back to 2014. It is generic club decor, with led lights. The music was super loud as the speakers are placed right beside the booths on the top floor. The gal at the front for cover was really unfriendly and rude. She did not have any handle on who was coming in as people were walking right past her after they were ID'd. The thing is, it is not clear they are taking cover in the first place. The cover charge girl wasn't wearing a uniform or anything distinctive to show she worked at Luxx. Plus the door is a mess to come and go, even on a slow night. We went on a Friday night, and it was pretty slow despite the decent weather. They had 3 security guards but people kept pushing past to leave and enter. When they did come into action it was to frisk my boyfriend 3 separate times. Cover charge on Friday is $15 for ladies and $20 for gents. The positive note about this place is the servers upstairs are very friendly, and were attentive. As soon as we sat down we had a waitress approach us to take our order. Additionally the bathrooms were surprisingly clean for a bar around midnight, and had great lighting. I won't be coming back, but it's worth checking out if you miss prive.

Not a horrible location but bad DJ ruins it entirely and he's the house DJ there. I told him to turn the treble down because people were literally walking in and plugging their ears because it was piercing. He couldn't mesh two tracks together to save his life and wouldn't even play them for more than 20 seconds each. And switching tracks right before the drop. He needs to go be a patron at a club with a good DJ for a few days to see how it's done because this is atrocious for what is considered to be a dance club. Also watched a guy take a bottle from a couple who ordered bottle service and the staff did nothing. They eventually got it back when the little snot should have been tossed out but they let him stay. As we were leaving this same predator was trying to get a very intoxicated/overserved girl to go with him and her friends were trying to intervene. They definitely should have stopped serving this girl hours before and kicked that little snot out. Not a safe space for women. Not a good place to spend your money. There are better clubs in this city.

Before going in one of the staff asked to pat down my friend when no other person was being patted down. My friend is an Asian male (felt the need to put this because I watched other guys who were white go in with no problem and I didn’t see any other guy or girl get pat down) Once inside the bartender was very rude and didn’t make my drink properly it was disgusting and this is a drink that I usually have so I know that I usually like it. The bathroom was the worst part. I had to wait in line for the bathroom for 10 minutes and once I got inside there was no soap, the toilet paper was destroyed and I was scared to touch anything and ended up just not using the bathroom at all. I know this is other peoples doing but if your going to have one bathroom and a ten minute wait you’d think there would be a staff maintaining the stalls. After the bathroom I grabbed my friend and we went somewhere else. Very disappointing experience

I'm a little confused as to the rules they had set last night. My friend and I were upstairs and we went to the washroom. when we came out to go back to the dance floor there was a male staff member standing there saying no one else is allowed in. We told him We were already there we just had to use the washroom. He said it doesn't matter can't go back. We told him we had our names on the entry list. He then said okay you can go in but we aren't allowed to stand or walk around. Just sit in the booth and don't move. I'm just unsure as to where you would like me to change my tampon if I'm not allowed to go to the washrooms and can only sit not walk. In the booths infront of everyone? Not too sure if it was this man's rules or who told him but it has to stop.

I was pretty surprised to see a space of this magnitude in Edmonton on whyte ave. Looks fairly modern and clean. If you're looking for a place to dance and drink, I'd say it's a good place to start the evenin.. Subs all over the dance floor made for organ rattling bass. I must mention the Name of the staff Makayla and specially Ajita they are doing pretty gud job. Infact I thought Ajita is the owner of this place when I visited for the first time. So they give that kinda service. It's a must visit place guys.. cheers..

Did a birthday party here, pulled up with a dozen in a party bus. Cover was dropped from 20 a head to 5 for our party, and id still like a refund on that. The only drinks we were served we had to get ourselves, we were kicked off a table for it being reserved even though the party using it had taken over 4 other tables instead, so my party of 12 had standing room only. The music was way too loud for the space they have, and why in the hell would you put a smoke machine at face height. Left by midnight and will never return.

The worst experience going out to a bar ever! I have never felt unsafer as a girl. The bartender not only changed our drink order without consulting us, they also charged us twice for the same round, claiming that it didn't go through the first time. I have been speaking with a representative for over two weeks now and though they keep talking about how a refund in the situation is valid and will be fulfilled, there is absolutely NO follow through. It has been weeks and it really shouldn't be this hard to get back what is rightfully my own.

I celebrated my birthday here on Saturday and my friends and I had an amazing time! All of the staff were lovely and so helpful! Shoutout to Ajita and all the pretty bottle girls. Also the music / DJ was fire! We danced all night long. We had a booth and bottles and felt really taken care of and they also brought out a complimentary wings. Well done guys will be back ! :)

Average club, with moderate looking interior. Poor air circulation. Over priced bottle service - sitting at 75$ and 100$ above market price for bottle service. Waitress was barely paying attention to us; we needed a rag to wipe up a mess and more mix - had to get it ourselves. On top of that,the sound system is broken and had static/ clicks in the middle of songs. The DJ was going back and forth between genres like a fish out of water flopping on the ground. There’s better places to waste my money in the city & on Whyte.

They charged me $40 for two vodka crams, bought one more cram, and were only charged $10. I don't like when clubs try to scam you while drunk. Update: called owner, the response was a bit condescending but I listened - the pricing is based off of the amount of vodka shots. Again, this was not communicated w/ me lol and I will not be disclosing the bartender's description because I would hate to work with drunk people with loud music too

Best night club, so affordable as a nightclub. If you are in Edmonton do visit this place..!!! Saturday night, mind-blowing music. Really enjoy a lot. And yes the staff is so friendly and understanding. Bartenders are extremely professional!

Sound system on main floor does not sound good. Way too much treble and DJ sucks can't mix songs. No cold water at all only steaming hot water from the taps. Dry wall crumbling in pieces all the way up the stairs. Out of toilet paper in the bathrooms by 11. Bottle girls are great but after seeing guy steal a bottle from a table she just shrugged when we told her the guy stole from the other table.

The DJ played great music but aside from that it’s a very small space crammed with tons of people upstairs and no air conditioning so get ready to sweat bullets Also I don’t think they have a dress code cause I was surprised at some of the clothing that was allowed or maybe we were just overdressed did the place ‍♀️ …

My favourite spot to be during every weekend. The unmatched vibe here brings me back here all the times. Friendly staff and bartenders are equipped with the skills to handle large crowds with easy and professionalism. Drinks and bottle service is the best, worthy and reasonable as compared to other places. THE BEST NIGHTCLUB.

We stopped here last Friday along with a couple other bars on Whyte. There was a group of us upstairs for our friends birthday and it felt like we were ignored by the bartenders. I don’t think we did much to bother them, but it felt like they either didn’t want to serve us or were just rude. Did not make us want to come back.

The lux night club has to be one of the most fun night club I have ever been too in a while, there service were amazing with wonderful bartender who’s always ready to serve the customer with great energy as well as there bottle service team. I would definitely go back !!!

Friends just wanted a place to dance a bit and keep the party going, but the creepy regular there who wouldn't leave us alone chased a group of 7 out in less than 20 mins. Made us super uncomfortable. Music was good but it cut out at one point for a few minutes. One bathroom for boys and girls. Pass.

Drinks were awful and way over priced, Staff were rude & Honestly there was no hospitality other than from security outside. People promoting vape bundle inside were pushing only women away, as if they werent set up on the dance floor. The floor was so sticky you couldnt enjoy being there.

Good vibes in a club that I might not usually find myself in if it wasn’t for the girls working there! Alyx in particular makes the night with a smile and a laugh that lights up the room every time! Would definitely recommend to hit this place up if you’re looking for a place on whyte.

The luxx is definitely one of the hottest spots in Edmonton. My friends and I love stopping by on weekends. And they have sweet food deals during the week also. Definitely recommend to anyone who’s looking for a good night out. The staff are so kind and make you feel right at home.

Don’t go here. The service is unbelievable. Waitress called me an alcoholic because I asked her to add more alcohol into my double rum and coke that tasted like pop. And charged me $23 for a double Then She tried to grab the drink out of my hands when I started walking away.

It was a little pricey and they definitely pushed for table/bottle service. The security wouldn't let us stay down stairs while we waited for an Uber despite it being -17c. Other than the vibe was good, friendly staff, and the dj upstairs was fantastic.

A double decker bar with cool lighting and no cover is great, only issues are the music not really being the vibe for many and it not being as busy as other bars. Worth a stop if you're hopping Whyte and need a quick drink and change of pace.

This restaurant is absolutely disgusting. I ordered food and there was a fly in it I try to call and ask why and they just keep saying “I don’t know” don’t go to this place and definitely don’t eat here. Absolutely disgusting.

The Luxx was lit I had an amazing time. It has two floors and the djs were awesome played the perfect variety of music to fit everyone’s style. All the staff was extremely friendly and was very attentive.

Had tons of fun! The music was awesome and the staff was accomodating. We had a very attentive bartender named Sophia and her service was exceptional. If you go ask for her and she will take care of you!

There is absolutely no waitresses to serve you. If you want a drink you go to the bartender yourself. The bathroom wasn't stocked with any soap to wash my hands. The music was unbearably loud.
