This is an excellent bookshop on Pitshanger Lane, even if just to browse. The selection of books (including children's books) has clearly been made with great care. The members of staff who work there are very helpful and friendly to chat to, and always ready to give recommendations if you ask them to based on other things that you have read. I have used Amazon in the past but have discovered that often there isn't as much of a tailor-made selection, and the value of picking up something hand-picked in a charming modern bookshop like this from real people cannot be underestimated. I have also used Pitshanger Bookshop to help me track down a hard-to-find US edition of a book. They also have great bargains when they change their stock, the likes of which cannot be obtained online. Also check out their events with local authors. Highly recommended.

Best independent bookshop in West London. Has a good variety of books, puzzles for all ages. Have bought framed pictures from here too. If they don't stock your book you can order and collect the item shortly afterwards. Also stock books from local authors. Staff are approachable, friendly, enthusiastic, and informative. They will recommend books to you that you may not have heard of and they are always a good read. Middway between Ealing Broadway and Greenford with a plethora of buses that stop outside on a regular basis.

Amazing independent bookshop, still running in the age of Amazon and for good reason. They have a diverse and well curated regular stock, including classics and books by local authors, and any books they do not have can be ordered for the next day! The staff are all friendly and have a love of books, which is very important. This bookshop has cared for my reading habits from the cradle and will do so until the grave!

Popped in today to find some postcards and cards of the local area. Roisin and Fiona were very helpful. There was a lovely selection but not quite what I was looking for and Fiona was able to give me some great recommendations of where to find them. So knowledgeable and friendly, I will be back :)

Great little bookshop. The ladies are very helpful and friendly. I would rather go there and support this little treasure of Pitshanger Lane rather than shopping an anonymous big and cold bookshop chain! The book selection is great and the beautiful smell of brand new paper it's fantastic!

My favourite shop on Pitshanger Lane, The Ladies in the shop are very helpful and friendly and always keen to help you with your purchases, Keen to give recommendations and are very supportive with ordering books online if they don't hold the book in store.

Great little independent book shop with a very wide range of books including kids and teenage fiction and also puzzles and gifts for young ones. Next day delivery frequently available if book isn’t in stock. Charity Christmas cards too! 5*

They have a large selection of books overall. I have only used the shop to purchase exam revision guides etc., however the choice may be limited. Having said that they are more than happy to order in the book of your choice.

  • Siofra Boyle

A lovely local bookshop that goes above and beyond to get books for you! During Covid they were doing home deliveries and were selling via the bookshop.org platform. Cannot wait to be able to get back in-store!

  • Fran Elkington

A fantastic bookshop which is always a joy to visit. Really friendly staff and a lovely location in Pitshanger Lane Ealing. Nothing is too much trouble and they will find and order any book for you.

The kind of independent bookshop where owner and customers share a passion for books. It's definitely the best bookshop in the whole Ealing area. Really, very friendly and efficient.

Really helpful bookshop sourcing and delivering books during lockdown. Now open again on Pitshanger Lane. A local go-to place for those not wanting to order through Amazon.
