I am so disappointed once again. I have just been to the Porterhouse for my birthday which is today and wanted to have the carvery, but the leg of pork was from yesterday. This is the second time in the last 3 weeks that this has happened. The meat was burnt on the outside and you could see it was old. I spoke to the Manager on duty and he told me that it was leftover from yesterday and did I want him to rather waste it and throw it away if it was not finished yesterday. Well I was shocked, firstly how can a Manager even say that, he should not be a manager at all. No restaurant should serve leftovers from the day before. You can get food poisoning from the pork. The prices that us as Customers are being charged is for fresh meals daily not leftovers. How do we know if the rest of the meat, curry and veggies are also leftovers. Absolutely disgusting. I will never go to the Porterhouse again. This used to be my favorite restaurant. Unfortunately the owners were not there so I could not speak to them. My family and friends will never go back.

Was in the mood for a Sunday lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. We ordered the buffet. The veggies were fabulous. I could not choose my favourite between them. Everyone had its own flavour and was prepared to perfection. The chicken was prepared perfectly,juicy not dry. I must say I am not a favourite of pork, but it was lovely and I ate every little bit. The beef was a little bit dry to my liking. Overall our waiter was friendly with a nice wittyness. O ja, I nearly forgot the milkshakes were also nice. We ordered lime and barone, I loved my barone milkshake and had to ask for a spoon. Thanks guys keep up the high standard.

We were lucky we found parking close to, nearly right in front of Porter House.

What an experience! When we entered we were warmly welcomed, nice environment, kids' play area, the food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. They have various types of foods, from pasta to seafood, juicy meat deal and home desserts, loved the malva pudding, they even have a buffet and it is all week, every day. The waiter did not interrupt us but he checked that everything was to our liking and a bit later on the manager greeted us and asked if we were satisfied with everything. Nice place, the kids keep asking to go back for the steak and the pizza.

Terrible terrible food. Nachos is doritos chips with some pathetic piece of lettuce and unmelted cheese on top. Can definitely make it a million times better in the comfort of my home. Cheesy garlic roll seemed like it went through the dishwasher. Soggy no taste and unmelted cheese and some form of white sauce with lumps over the top. Waste of money. Paid for a starter and left.

This was a pleasant experience, having lived in the area it was only a matter of time for me to dine at this establishment. Really good food, excellent service and a relatively nice ambiance for a family steakhouse. Would definitely pick it over Spur, and prices are really good value for money. We had fillet steaks, which were perfectly prepared, and the chicken lasagne was excellent too. Their chocolate mousse was delicious, and my wife says the tiramisu was simply awesome. One, and only one complaint I would raise is that the benches we were sitting on were a bit uncomfortable after a while. Perhaps their padding needs to be looked at?

Treat yourself and your family by dining at The Porterhouse. This restaurant is my all time favourite place to eat. Their food is sooo good. Everything on their menu is tasty. I enjoy the ribs with porteguese sauce. This restaurant has been around since I was a child.

We had a table reserved for 6 people i ordered a margarita pizza, my son ordered a cheese fetta bread, when we got it, his cheese bread looked like my pizza, if he wanted a pizza he would have ordered a pizza, our table didnt have salt or pepper shakkers on it, they don't have side sauces like other restaurants. Our table was in the doorway leeding to play area, so everytime we had the wind and door blowing over.

Horrible service, manager not helpful at all. What happened to customer service! Even the Cockatiels are not up to standard taste like milk only. And also lies about side orders. Been coming here for years and we are appalled. Never coming back. Wish I could give 0 rating. But I cannot. I have been in this business and I made plans for my customers as a manager and and assistant manager. Shame on you

Me and my partner really enjoyed this restaurant. The music, the atmosphere, the vibe, the friendly staff. It was infact so good we forgot to take pictures of the place. I am definitely going to be around that area again.

Porterhouse is a good family resturant, we sat a the tables with the "nice" seats against the walls. It is very cramped for 4 people to sit there, i would recommend rather sitting at a normal table if you are 3 or more people. Food was okay, old style of making food but great for the price we paid for it. The waiter was good and friendly, all the staff was very friendly.

food quality is just average.. but friendly service, and fair ambience. the escargot should have had some cheese in it.. not cheese flavoured doughy gravy. calamari starter was less than appetising. steaks were just average, and the rib eye was a bit on the dry side. price is on par with most average restaurants.

Few restaurants left with steaks this delicious. Good service from old school waiters knowing their stuff. The crowd is a tad 'westrand', good hearted patrons, some with funny hair, some without teeth, some loud and common, but overall I am glad the establishment is busy. I'm definitely back very soon, won't mind the drive if food is this good again. 5 Stars!

It was worth all the effort, and dodge areas, traveling from Lanseria... Your carvers is out of this world! The menu is extensive. Impossibility to come here and not find anything you crave. Waiters are so friendly and attentative. If it was closer to home we would visit at least twice a week. Well done on a great job with this restaurant!!!

Excellent great restaurant. Great service from all the staff. The owner greeted us personally when we walked in. I had the 300 gram fillet tournedous and it was awesome. Everybody else in our group enjoyed the food they ordered. Very reasonable prices on all the food and good value for money. We will definitely return regularly.

This place is really nice and cozy. From the moment we stepped in we felt welcome. Their food is amazing. All of us had something different and tasted from each other's plates. Their milkshakes taste super yummy. We had beef ribs, oxtail, chicken corden blue, a chicken burger and the carvery (which they serve 7days a week).

Such a nice place for comfort food. Great carvery and delicious steaks. The service is always professional and fast and the gentleman who serve food are so friendly and helpful. A true gem.

Definitely not value for money! We were highly disappointed, the steaks were unseasoned, the gravy the put on the rice tasted like a packet of Bistro just mixed as was not good at all. We went to Porterhouse on Mothers day and we found out how popular it is.We had a booking for 14:00 and were only seated at about 14:45.The food was excellent and the service was very efficient and Primrose was very friendly. We will be back but this time we will plan our day more accurately.

What a wonderful time we had with my family. Gavin (probably one of the managers)made us feel at home. He came while we were eating to ask us if we were enjoying our meal. The prices are just right. Matthew Ncube , the waiter, was friendly and very helpful. Porterhouse, keep up the good work!

Morris served us. He had an awesome personality and he was so efficient. Not a fancy place, but the food was good, It was neat and clean. The price was very reasonable and I consider it to be a new found gem. We will be back.

One of our group has way beforehand asked if they could bring their own wine/champage, and was told that it would not be a problem. On the day of the event they were told it was not allowed. So, money spent (by a pensioner) on something that was "not allowed"... eisch!!!

Always nice going there. They should spruce up their oxtail though it was very bland, but overall the food is good. A special thanks to our waiter James who's always giving us the best service ever for many years.

So well stocked and very clean. Cakes and pastries fresh and well presented. Fruit and vegetables fresh and crisp. No wilted or old produce. Staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely a Spar to shop at. Well done to all employees including the cleaning staff.

The old girl is looking a little bit tired. But the food & staff are still as good as always. A bit pricey, but worth every cent. Very nice smokers dining section, well ventilated & makes you feel like you deserve to have a good meal aswell.

Horrible food. Surf & Turf- 3 little prawns so small and overgrilled you can hardly see them. Rump steak 200g. Definitely not. Fried stewing steak. Tough as hell. When my plate arrived I already knew it was going to be terrible. And it was.

Clean place, friendly service, has a designated smoking area, wheelchair friendly access. I enjoyed the food, but I did not understand the idea of cauliflower with white sauce and creamy spinach on one plate but they did not have a variety.

Porterhouse has been my no. 1 restaurant. But 2 weeks ago I had a very bad lunch, favorite oxtail!! After a discussion with the manager, who would have spoken to owner. Untill today.... no feedback!!!!!
