I have nothing but glowing reviews for this Dive Shop and team, they truly went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and safe throughout my dive experience. From communicating and answering a plethora of questions via email over seas months in advance, to patiently teaching me the basics of how to put my fins on properly in the water. I booked a night dive experience in early spring specifically because I wanted to try something I thought would be way out of my comfort zone. From the minute I arrived at Rye, Jess and Sam made me feel 100% comfortable. They helped me easily get to the dive shop and anticipated my apprehension of the cold water and properly fitted me with everything I could possibly need to feel warm, even lending me a personal item that would add a layer of comfort. Sam Glenn - Smith was my dive master and did an excellent job of communicating, managing my gear for me, and making me feel safe. I never once felt afraid or uncomfortable in the water which meant that I had complete capacity to enjoy my experience. It’s a dive experience like I’ve never had before and one I will cherish forever, I sincerely didn’t know how to tell him thank you enough at the end. I 100% recommend this business to novice and experienced divers alike, it was worth every penny I spent and the time it took me to get there.

I only have good things to say about The Scuba Doctor Dive Shop! I first came into the store looking for a new set of scuba gear. The staff are friendly, extremely knowledgeable and honest; no upselling. They were patient and made sure that I was 100% happy with the gear. I had also previously ordered a strobe for underwater photography from the online store. When the strobe developed a circuit error due to a manufacturing issue, the amazing staff quickly recognized the issue, and promptly replaced it with a new unit, no questions asked. Recently, I also completed my drysuit certification with The Scuba Doctor. 10/10 experience! Will definitely be back for more dives with the crew, and I'm sure I'll be able to add even more positive anecdotes to this review. Big thanks to Mark, Sam, Hannah and Jess, you guys are awesome!

Absolute best customer service that I have ever received, not only from a dive shop but from ANY shop I’ve ever bought something from. Following my order online, within an hour or so I received a call from Sam regarding my order and assuring me they were on top of it and would be getting it over to me ASAP. He reconfirmed postage details and answered many of questions regarding other products I was interested in. As a diver who is only new to technical diving and equipment he did not make me feel stupid for asking new questions and gave me full, informative answers. Could not be happier with the service and on top of that the prices are the best around and they have a massive range. Will definitely be back to buy from Scuba Doctor very soon. Had a truly great day diving with Mark and the crew! We were so well looked after from first enquiry to the end of the dives. The conditions at our first site weren’t ideal so Mark took the time to escort us to the next two dive sites. We were so thankful for the expertise and knowledge of the area and were able to find some gorgeous little critters (weedy sea dragons, nudibranchs, octopus, bull ray etc). The corals were so much more vibrant and diverse than expected! The team at the shop were so patient with us too, Sam made sure we were kitted out with gear properly and weighted adequately for cold water (we had only dived tropical). We are both looking forward to diving with the team again soon!

I worked closely with Mark and Hannah at Scuba Doctor for just over two weeks on a project where our team was diving almost everyday. From the very first email and call they were incredibly professional and couldn't have been more helpful - equipping divers with consumables, hire gear, wetsuits and whatever else decided to break whilst we were with them! Scuba Doctor is a wonderful shop, equipped with all your needs and wants, if they don't have something in stock you can be sure it will be there the next day or two. An incredible business that we will definitely work with again, thank you Hannah, Mark and Sam.

I had 4 guided dives over two days with Sammy glen as my dive master. Can not recommend him enough, he was a absolute professional making every dive enjoyable. Finding animals I had no chance in finding by myself like the elusive blue ringed octopus hiding in a clam shell, was amazed he was able to locate one. Spending our second day diving flinders pier I spent the day mesmerised with the sea dragons, having spotted 10+ dragons it was truly a dive to remember. Anyone looking for a knowledgeable local dive guide you can not go pass Sam Thank you for the dives mate, will definitely be coming back

Very disappointed with the online purchase... their website picture was not the product they sent me. They pictured the original model (which is very hard to come by) but sent me the new inferior model. I returned the product immediately only to receive a partial refund. So I am out of pocket for my courier costs and the amount they deducted all because the picture displayed on their website was not correct. To add insult to injury I have contacted them about this and they refuse to budge. Very Disappointing... needless to say I will not be purchasing anything from them ever again.

I was recommended these guys from a friend before purchasing my video light. I'm not really a photographer, so had no idea what to buy. I also find researching incredibly boring and time consuming, and I have zero decision making skills, which makes purchasing anything a nightmare. Anyway, these people have a wealth of knowledge and always make my purchases easy (returning customer). They replie almost instantly with solutions, replacements etc. Can't recommend them highly enough. We have dive shops in Sydney as well, but I always order from this shop for mentioned above reasons!

These guys are fantastic! Great variety of products, extremely competitive prices and very quick delivery. I placed an order on Monday and even though they let me know that my order would be delayed because of one of the products availability, I recieved everything just 4 days later. Amazing dive shop! From start to finish our experiences with all the staff members at scuba doctor have been awesome. They’re super helpful with sharing information on dive sites and conditions, where to go to see the best marine life, and recommending and setting up camera equipment! Gear to hire is awesome, and everyone is super knowledgeable! Have hired great many times now and will only ever use Scuba Doctor for everything diving on the peninsula!

Excellent staff and close treatment that makes you feel at home. This shop has extensive dive gear and provides technical advice when needed. Their PADI diving courses might be higher than others. Still, it pays off for the small groups and overall experience you receive. Run by experienced locals willing to dedicate time to teach, share their experiences, and look after the dive sites. Best hiring gear and professional training instructors!

After not returning my call and me having to follow up, was quoted $680 for a single dive for two people, from shore, only needing to hire tanks, bcd’s, and regulators. Seemed ridiculously high to me, so I contacted Bayplay Adventures in Portsea. Did the exact same kind of pier dive, hiring the same gear for a total of $290 for the two of us. Less that half the price!! Great dive, friendly staff. Not sure what the dive doctor is smoking.

Attended here on a weekday and got some technical advice on some technical equipment I had purchased from them earlier. I very much appreciated the time they spent with me and also the fact they had the extra parts on hand to achieve my objective They have a well stocked store of modern up to date equipment for all facets of recreational diving as well as technical and professional scuba diving. Wheel chair accessible, toilets onsite.

AAA I cannot recommend this store more highly, if you are just getting into SCUBA. They have been extremely helpful with my selection of Scuba gear being new to the sport and not pushing me to buy equipment that would not be suitable for what I wanted to do. Any Maintenance issues or questions I have had about my gear they have been extremely helpful and the turn around times for getting things done is extremely efficient.

Best dive ever! After diving in Indonesia (Raja Ampat & Komodo), Egypt, Phillipines (Apo Reef, Anilao) and Great Barrier Reef - this is my favorite dive. Sea dragons, sea horses, octopus, huge cuttlefish, port Jackson shark and a sting ray. What more could I want? Oh yeah, amazing photos!!! Thank you Sam, for an amazing day and the beautiful photos you took. Definitely worth braving the 12 degree warm water.

The real judge of a Company is not that nothing ever goes wrong - it’s how they respond when something does go wrong. An unexpected error with my online order - not their fault - brought immediate communication from them, with offers of ways to solve the issue, alternate items, and an immediate refund of the difference. Have now ordered twice and they’re excellent to deal with.

My wife and I went to Scuba Doctor to kit ourselves out with some basic gear in preparation for our open water scuba course (mask, snorkle, fins and booties). Mark was very helpful and patient. i bought a prescription snorkel mask with a time restriction and the service was exceptional. the mask i originally wanted wasnt in stock for another few days, but the team offered a suitable alternative so that i could get it quicker. with express post. I received my mask today, took only two business days, and the mask is a great fit. very happy!

We basically just rocked up to the shop and got so much help with all of the gear that we needed for a boat dive, they also gave us awesome tips for local shore dives where we instantly went and got to see some amazing wildlife! I ordered View prescription goggles online for my husband, who has a pretty extreme prescription. Swimming his entire life, he says these fit better than any goggles he's ever had, the correction is fabulous, and the ability to switch out nosepieces made them perfect. Arrived quickly. I came for UWP and could not have been happier with my experience.

Great group for gear and guided dive. Sam was very helpful, prompt with communication and fun to dive with. Gear was in good condition. Dive itself was off Blairgowrie pier and really enjoyed seeing the crabs.

These guys are welcoming, helpful and professional. The prices are responsible, as well. There is a cap park at the site that you can park your car. They have a good variety of stock, from different brands.
