Located in the historic French Quarter, this magical environment provides you a piece of New Orleans history. Four generations a female Parfumers have resulted in over 50 fragrances beginning from 1927 by the renown Mrs Hové-King. Upon entering the location you are immediately treated with the beautiful fragrances of the store which of course is the combination of all the incredible perfumes, bath & body, and Home Products that are supplied and Handmade by the parfumeur. Additionally if you are not greeted by the parfumeur herself, you are greeted by the young women whom bare enthusiastic customers as well as employees to the Hové family. The charm of Hové is getting to explore the different fragrances that you will find in two different lines, standard and luxury, where each fragrance has been dipped freshly each morning with their perfume on labeled strips. Each employee has a trick of their own based on their own personal experiences that they love to share with customers on how to enhance and make their experience more unique and personalized. Even better is that you can try on every single fragrance that you desir in order to see just what is going to marry the best with your own personal chemistry. As a longtime customer I would highly recommend Hové to any individual, local or visiting, in order to not only have a memorable experience but to also be able to wear with you a piece of New Orleans history as well as a little piece of an Antiquated and authentic New Orleans family lineage.
I grew up visiting New Orleans annually staying at the Chateau Orleans right across the street. Last night with my first visit. Over the last 30 years this place has changed names, to my surprise it turned out to be quite a gem, tucked away just a few blocks away from Bourbon Street. Jay was bartending, he was phenomenal. He possesses The Best of Both Worlds. Easily, the locals favorite bartender with a blend of hospitality for those of us just visiting. The entire place was very clean, the other patrons were very inviting and friendly. There was a great assortment and variety of liquor and beer. As a bartender myself I truly appreciate acquaint local bar with a great atmosphere. My only complaint is that I wish I would have come sooner and stayed longer. Jay was a great change of pace from several other establishments closer to Bourbon Street with snotty bartenders. Love love love
My Cheers Bar! Every bartender here makes me feel at home Jeff,Phil,Jason and even Sean! They always take care of me like family. The atmosphere of the bar really makes you apart of every moment. People you were strangers with when you walked in , you walk out having some sort of memory with. I can not recommend this place enough. I ALWAYS feel safe here. Jeff is also one of he the best cooks I have EVER met. If you do one thing before you kick the bucket in life , GO TO A CRAWFISH BOIL. During the season Jeff makes the best crawfish New Orleans has to offer in the courtyard. This place is also the BEST to relish in a SAINTS game to see them towards victory. Thank you guys for all your hard work - and thanks for running such a kickass bar. But , mostly thanks for making me feel at home.
Had a great time here last spring. Sorry I'm late with my reviews but this is the place to stop Especially when you're looking for some low prices, and a chill atmosphere. Reminded me of bars back home. I felt like a local and was super chill and comfortable. No frills place that gives you a true break from touristy places around the way.We were lucky enough to be there when they were serving crawfish on Sunday and honestly that's the best I ever had. We went back for seconds! I haven't stopped talking about it since we got home. We're heading back to New Orleans in September and I hope that I'm able to catch the crawfish Sunday. Cannot recommend enough.
This bar is a must visit during the Saints game. I had an incredible experience with locals. I don't think I had a better welcoming experience in my entire travel life, and I am 41. I wish I had ordered stuffed chicken wings (the women in the bar were enjoying the dish) Taylor - you are a #ROCKSTAR and my favorite bartender in #NOLA. Girl, I admire your upbeat energy and the loving Wi-Fi you spread around! Cheers!!! Your boyfriend is amazing too. Your entire bar felt like a friendly and close family when we were cheering for #Saints #GoSaints #NewOrleans

Please visit here! Meet the greatest bartender around in Phil. We were just tourists but honestly the crowd there just absorbs you like you are their own. We loved the more relaxed attitude. I recommend anybody to go a block to the side of Bourbon to find great bars that also deserve your attention. The Upper Quarter is the creme de la creme of those bars. I think I'll note here that it's important to come in here with a little less Bourbon spirit. Come here to have good conversations, watch some hockey (important for the traveling Canadian) and not to be stupid.
I was visiting Nola and went to the UQ with a close friend of mine who lives locally. She raved about it and we had a blast! Small tiny place. The owners, Mary and David could not be nicer! And the patrons are immediately your friends. It’s like your very own “Cheers”! The Shotsky is a must when you go!! And if you are there for a Saints game and they are lucky enough to win, you are in for a treat! Can’t wait to go back!!
Super cool, off the beaten path, local bar. Great drink prices, & talented bartenders! We didn’t try the crawfish, but it looked great! Only 2 blocks north of Bourbon, but it was nice to step back from the crazy crowds, and just hang out for a bit. Had a local feel, with interesting customers that made for some fun sipping and people watching! Will definitely be back!
Just happened to stop by while wandering around, I want this place on my corner at home. Everyone was totally cool. Dave was boiling crawfish, they were the best at a killer price. Food coma was wonderful. Thanks Chappy and everyone for a great place to hold down a bar stool for our 2, way too short days in town. We'll be back, no doubt. Sorry fat fingers, fixed it.
We just happened to stop into this bar for a drink and it was the highlight of the night! Great neighborhood bar with fantastic prices and one of the nicest bartenders / owners you'll ever meet. Dave even gave me some homemade chocolate chip cookies! If you're in the area for a show at the Saenger I highly recommend you stop in here for a drink.
The Upper Quarter is the best Saint's gameday experience in the city! It has all the feelings of an old-school local bar - amazing crowd, touchdown pudding shots, free food and fun bartenders. If you grew up in New Orleans and enjoyed the sensation of a true local bar for gamedays, The Upper Quarter is the place for you
My wife and I got the names mixed up. Ha. We ended our night here last Friday and it was great. After going to a couple recommended bars that weren't so great, we stumbled into here. Great atmosphere and especially great prices. We will definitely be back.

Great after work spot for beers and cocktails. If you're lucky, you might even get to hang out in the little courtyard out back. They also host responsible vendors licensing classes for service industry personnel at times. Check with bar directly for times and dates.
Visiting from Colorado and felt like family! I wish we had a place like this back home to watch the saints. Big celebrations every TD with a bunch of support friendly fans. The owners were fantastic and the sweetest people, we're coming back next time we're in town!
1st visit, have walked by it PLENTY of times! Wife,& I were seeking somewhere to watch LSU VS Bama FB Game, heard loud cheering! Found a seat at a table, got drinks, watched the game. Place is small, but cozy! Lot of Local Memorabilia inside, would return
First time here wasn't terrible, but I watched the barman enter 20$ when I handed him my card for a single beer. Still waiting on the bank statement to see if he really did give himself a 100%+ tip. However the back patio was perfect for a
We were recommended to come here. We were even given the name Dave. When we walked in, “Dave’s not here” & “we don’t serve food, we don’t even have a kitchen.” The guy behind the bar was actually quite a jerk…. Too many other places to go….
Every visitor to new orleans should come here and see a real New Orleans bar... Great staff and great drinks and when they feel like it great food

Decent selection of liquor and beer. Nice, quaint hole-in-the-wall establishment. Very neighborly, though the second bartender encounter was a bit aloof. Perfect distance from theaters/venues on Canal for pregaming.
Great little bar with this and prices right on the edge of the quarter that is not typical of the French quarter or bourbon street but more like a neighborhood bar. Prices are reasonable and it's not over-the-top.
The Upper Quarter Bar is our favorite bar in NOLA! It has a friendly neighborhood community feel, knowledgeable and personable staff, fantastic cocktails, and great events that make you want to keep going back.
Great environment, excellent bartender and prices. Worth taking a few steps extra for;-) do not worry about the employees only sign on the push door, it leads to a great little courtyard to drink and smoke in!
Stopped in and it was so much fun! A very cute bar and everyone was so friendly! On vacation from Chicago so so loved the Malort sign, I’m definitely recommending as a place to go, thank you for a great time
Great small off Bourbon Street bar with a vibrant atmosphere mixed with dim lighting. I really enjoyed having drinks in this cozy spot. Seemed to be filled with a good mix of locals and chill tourists.
Jason was our bartender and he was both polite and knowledgeable. Their prices are way better than anything near bourbon street and the regulars were fun. Swing by if you're cool and know how to drink
Loved this funky little hole in the wall off the main drag. Cool vibe, nice drinks, decent service. A welcome reprieve from the smelly chaos a couple blocks away, but plenty of energy of its own.
Awesome spot - felt like home. Incredibly friendly staff and regulars. Cold beer and full bar at near half what you’d expect to pay in The Quarter. Caught them on a crawfish day - a true bonus.
Ice cold beer (that isn't over priced) off the disaster known as bourbon st. You know, if you're here for 2 weeks, 40 years old (like me) and can't handle the bourbon madness every night.
The BEST local's bar in the French Quarter (and really all of New Orleans). Visitors are treated like family too! Great drinks, great bartenders, great people, great atmosphere!!!!
Wonderful neighborhood bar. No better place to watch the Saints play Monday night football. Had a blast with friendly people.

We were staying the weekend across the street, and had to check it out. Jason the bartender was great! Drinks and atmosphere were very nice. Had my first peanut butter shot.
Nice quaint little locals bar where you would expect a lot of tourist but seems to attract more service industry workers. Can't wait for their crawfish boils to come back!
The best bar in the French Quarter. Everybody involved from the owners to the bartenders are great people always nice and helpful. As a local I will always hang out there
The best of Burgundy St. The Upper Quarter bar is my #1 neighborhood bar in the French Quarter. Don't miss gameday and pudding shots on every touchdown. See you there!
They had crawfish for sale in the back and it was great. One bar tender didn't make the drinks right but the night before they had one that made them great.
Always a blast. The staff are awesome and make a great drink, we love everything about the Upper Quarter especially crawfish boils when they are in season.
Love this joint! We stop in every time we are in town. Great people, boils and for Saints games!

OMG this is a very nice, quet family place. I loved the way staff treated us, they even let us put our bicycles inside. Highly recommend! …
Their French quarter fest crawfish boil was amazing! Nice place when you need a drink out if the fray. You can sit, relax and meet some locals.
Incredible little locals spot that I somehow stumbled upon. Cheap beer. Tasty looking crawfish. Somehow insulated from the hustle and bustle.
I dont know how to feel about my neighbors...but 5 stars sounds about right. Love you guys!!! This is the BEST bar hands down in the Quarter!
Nice hole in the wall pub. Nice friendly place to get you day drinking started. Their beer lines could use a little cleaning though.
As far as greyhound stations go it's as good as one can get. Quite clean in comparison, no wandering crackheads, didn't get mugged.
The bars tenders are AWESOME and super friendly! The owners are the BEST! Support this bar theu are locally owned and operated.
A great "locals bar" or a place for tourists to stop in to get away from the Bourbon St hustle. Great prices and bartenders.
If you wander off Bourbon street this is a good place to land. Good drinks and friendly bartender. Good neighborhood bar.
Met their awesome bartender, Philip, who bought us drinks while his bar was closed for Hardrock exploration …
I love this spot. Bartenders are always so nice, even if the guest is not. Jeff, Diane, Jay and Shawn are the best!!
Def falls in the dive bar catagory. Great lil bar to disappear into if you want to avoid the bs of bourbon st.
Love this place!!! If you are looking for a great place to watch a game and feel like a local…this is it!!

This cute little neighborhood bar is perfect. A few blocks from Burbon ... its quiet and friendly.
Great! And I mean great classic dive bar with awesome prices & awesome bartenders, thanks y'all
Strong, cheap drinks. Lots of service industry people chill here before and after their shifts.
It's in the upper half of the quarter. If you pass the gun in BurGUNdy you've gone too far.
Great selection and pricing. Quaint little bar away from the shenanigans of Bourbon Street.
BEST bar in the Quarter! Like a family. Wonderful owners and bartenders. Love this place!!
Very nice and welcoming place. Even though it is a "local" bar, they made me feel at home.
I don't like the quaternary too much.. over priced drinks and a no smoking ban in bars
Sweet dive bar complete with pirates, drag queens, happy drunks and a great bartender.
Great afternoon spot. Bartenders are a wealth of knowledge about the French Quarter.
Super friendly bar! Recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place to get a drink!
Afterwork chill spot for drinks and blowing steam, and chilling with Phil …
Nice place for drinks with love ones also Saints nation so zone in and enjoy.
Friendly bartender good cocktails. Much better experience than bourbon street
Great place to sit and enjoy a drink. Very reasonable prices in the quarter.
Great place.. Home felling.. Bartenders are just the greatest …
The owners and staff went above and beyond for a family event we had there.
Our favorite bar in the city! Some of the best people you will ever meet!
Amazing and have turned this Jersey girl into a partial Saints fan now!
Amazing place to get a drink after work or whenever you want to chill.
Always a blast. Jason the bartender serves a mean bottle of Highlife.
Super chill and relax environment. Great crawfish boil and cold beer
Bartender charged us more than advertised; restrooms not signposted.
Go here instead of bourbon street! Well worth the cost and service!
Nice place for a drink and good AC. Not too loud. Not too crowded.
The nicest people, the coldest beer and the best crawfish in town!
They’ve always been good to us here. Fair prices and good company.
Friendly bar and good staff. Prices reasonable for French Quarter
THEY DON’T SERVE FOOD HERE. Don’t be fooled by the food photos.
A great place to stop and hang out! The people are so friendly.
Great local bar. All the locals hang out here. Great service.
Great hole-in-the-wall. 5/5 Would get day drunk in again.
The best bar in the city, always have a great time there
