Beautiful views, great architecture etc, but the overall experience has been below our expectations on numerous visits. It seems they made the venue as uncomfortable as possible, so they are able to have a quick turnaround of people. The bar at the very top has an open roof (so it gets chilly), yet they only sell cold drinks (also in the middle of the winter) and on the top of that- their drink selection is VERY limited. If they put some thought and creativity into it, they’d be serving warm drinks- mulled wines, mulled cider, teas, coffees and all sorts of alcoholic as well as non alcoholic drinks, but instead- you can only buy cold drinks, yet you have nowhere to sit and actually enjoy your drink and the view… The lower bar does serve warm drinks as well as cocktails, etc., but the queues are so long, the place is overcrowded, all seats are always taken (unless you come on a quiet day/morning) and there are always some visitors playing piano (not very well), so the whole atmosphere is rather unpleasant. It feels like some cheap (even though the prices are high) tourist trap. We got our coffees from the lower bar, walked up the flights of stairs and drunk our coffees in the bar at the top, but again- with nowhere to sit it just doesn’t feel like it’s a very welcoming place, which is such a shame and a missed opportunity in my opinion. It’d have been so beautiful if they had some decent mixed drinks/cocktails and perhaps warm cocktails, mead, hot cider upstairs… also some half decent music… but it seems it’s much more important for them to get a high volume of people in and out, fast ;)

Purchased the Virgin Experience voucher that incorporated the Shard visit, free cocktail and photos. From arrival, through security, the obligatory photos and lift to the top, the whole process took. roughly fifteen minutes. We were booked in at 19.30, so the night time views were amazing. So far, so good. However, having to queue for forty minutes for your drink is unacceptable. A tip - don't go to the bar on level 68, go to the one on level 71. Whilst undoubtedly busy, the fact that cocktails were being made incorrectly isn't good enough.Once we eventually received ours, they were most enjoyable in fairness. The photos taken on arrival are ready when you depart. You are offered a package at a cost of £25, which from a previous daytime visit is a nice, if overpriced memento. The Virgin package only ensures you receive the pictures you posed for in an email. If we had literally just paid for the 'view' then I would definitely score 5/5. Unfortunately the long delay at the bar sonewhat soured the visit.

I recently visited The Shard in London, and the view from up there is mind-bogglingly high! The elevator ride itself, while not as thrilling as the experience in the Freedom Tower in New York, where they add a bit of motion, was a smooth journey. When you finally get off on the 69th floor, nice. I recommend trying the wine or champagne at the top for the full experience. And if you venture a few more stairs up from where they drop you off, you'll find an outdoor area with fake grass on the ground. It can get a bit chilly when the wind is blowing, but it offers some protection. The view is amazing, and there are plenty of photo opportunities. Just a word of advice: don't try to sit on the floor for a better shot; the security up there is quite strict, and they'll immediately make you get up. In the end, The Shard offers a truly elevated perspective of London, both in height and in views – a towering experience you won't forget! ️

It was my first visit to the Shard. Booked the general admission tickets online and it is just outside the London Bridge Station. There was no queue when we entered so the process was pretty quick. The staff scan your tickets upon arrival and than we have to scan our bags etc. for checking. After this there is another staff who clicks 4 pictures of you and gives you a code to collect your pictures once you leave. The lift was very quick to level 69th and 72th. It was a bit crowded but the views were breathtaking. Just amazing amazing amazing you can see the entire London from up there. Also surprisingly their washrooms are also covered with glass windows so you can get a sneak peak of the views from there too. We also had a cocktail which I felt was a bit expensive for what they offer £16 a cocktail. But overall a lovely experience, once you leave the shard, there is a souvenir shop from where you can purchase any souvenirs.

Superb experience, wonderful views from the top Friendly Staff and very systemic... Well designed and well planned.. You have to go only when the climate is good for best experience Night view from the top is beautiful and you can see whole London from the top. I would say it is a must do experience..... They have time slots to follow and website to book online They did mentioned if you can not visit it because of weather conditions, you will get the refund Also you have to be on time as per your booked schedule and if you are late by more than 15 minutes, you may have to manage booking again or pay some extra amount, but not sure this happens.... They have bar in the top also if you want there are wonderful 4 to 5 restaurants where advance booking is must Overall it is awesome experience.. and fyi..this is also 310 meters

Amazing views of London from uptop - Must Visit!! Try to reach early or there will be a long queue, especially if you plan on going on the weekend. Book your tickets in advance. There is FastTrack option if you pay 10 pounds extra, which is worth it if the queue is too long. But remember, you need to have booked a ticket in advance to use tung FastTrack option. Once you get inside, you will be riding in one of the fastest elevators I've ever seen. The elevtor goes upto floor 68 IIRC. You can walk up a couple more floors. They have bars available where you cab order drinks (pretty pricey). Best time to go would be around twilight so you can see the setting sun and night lights. You can stay as long as you want. Can get very crowded at around 3-6pm, so if you don't want to wait, try to reach there by 7pm or later.

  • Entesar

This is such an amazing place to visit. The best place in London for a panoramic view. you have the choice of 2 floors to view. Each one better than the other. We took so many pictures. We didn't want to leave! 1 floor is an indoor viewing platform (level 69) and the other floor is the out door sky deck (level 72). It was worth every penny! I would definitely visit again and will recommend to EVERYONE I know. The pictures that were taken in the entrance were amazing! We took 2 packs! The digital photos are included with your tickets so make sure you take pictures to at least save them on your phone. Whatever you do, make sure you add this place in your trip to London!

The View from The Shard is one of a kind and breathtaking. A full 360 view of London, the tallest building with a viewing platform. The shard also has three restaurants in it that you can RSVP. I highly recommend it. Even if you’re not down to eat at any of the restaurants at the very top You can RSVP a small table and get cocktails, snacks, desserts, pastries, and more. In the evening they will also have performance artist like a singer or pianist. My boyfriend and I stayed up there for a few hours. Just enjoying the lovely view, this is a must see attractions in London.

In case you’re looking for an amazing view of the London city, you can visit The View from The Shard. There are two floors at the top from where you can explore different views. Entry ticket for the The View can be purchased on the spot or online. The Shard is the tallest building in London as of 2023 and hence it provides the best view of the city. Tip: You can also visit the Sky garden located in the Walkie-talkie building located on the other side of Thames river; which would also give you a top view of the city, and the entry to the sky Garden is free of cost. Note, prior appointment via their website is required for Sky Garden entry.

  • Courtney

obviously not cheap, but if you want to treat yourself with some stunning views of london, this is the best way to do it! there’s information as to which part of london you’re facing and what buildings you’re seeing, and there’s enough room for everyone up there without feeling rushed out. (I paid £20 for that cocktail but it was champagne and a fun novelty, there are cheaper drinks on the menu if you’re wanting to sit and have a drink.) the sky garden on level 72 is pretty sparse but perhaps in the summer more goes on, it is exposed to the elements after all. I think I probably would do this again, it’s a fun experience!

My 5-star experience with the 'View from the Shard' began even before I visited the place! I booked from their website for the 5pm slot with the idea of watching the sunset from the Shard. After paying, I realised I may not be able to make it as I had also booked a West end show. Next morning, I called their customer service and they immediately changed my date without any charge. The views are obviously spectacular, as long as you get clear skies. We got that as you can see from the photos. Their photo package of £25 is excellent value. I highly recommend it. You get a beautiful album plus link to download.

  • Ajay Ramesh

You have amazing views of the city from top of the tower (Floor 63). The is also a bar at the top to enjoy some drinks and have a wonderful time. The queues are well managed. I also liked the photography service that they offer (although a bit expensive for the album). Wonderful memories and a collection of photographs with you at different locations and scenarios in the Shard. You can pick them up on your way down at the exit. No long waiting times. Make sure to book your slot online before visiting. Friendly staff.

Pre-booked tickets for 11:30am. Joined the queue outside ahead of time and ended up getting in early. The experience of getting through security and up the lifts was very smooth and relaxed. The London experts Chris and Zia really made the visit though. Their talk (or really 'show') on the Thames bridges was entertaining and educational for all ages. We have visited many high level viewing areas both in the UK and the USA but the talk really made the visit in comparison by giving a more personal experience.

Absolutely brilliant. Firstly make sure you do not turn up late or you can expect very long queues. Security is airport style removing bags, jackets and belts. There are 2 lifts to get to the top and they bother move at lightning speed. There are 2 levels for viewing. Level 69 is indoor which music, bar and seating. This level is quite tight when busy. Then you can go up to 72 which is an open top view which much more space. We timed it so that we were there for the sunset and got to experience the views in daylight and then the at nightime with the lights. Deffo worth doing.

  • Rahul Rupeja

Experiencing The Shard with my partner elevated the visit to a whole new level. The breathtaking views became even more special when shared with someone I care about. The intimate setting allowed us to appreciate London's beauty together, creating memories that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. The seamless organization and friendly staff made the visit enjoyable, and the modern ambiance added a touch of romance to the entire experience. The Shard is not just a remarkable structure; it's a perfect destination for couples seeking a unique and enchanting escape above the bustling city.

  • Helen Clifton

Booked tickets via Tesco clubcard vouchers. Easy way to book. Was advised to book the afternoon and then stay until it goes dark. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day and the views were spectacular. Once you are in, you can stay as long as you like. Lifts take you from ground floor to the top in less than a minute. The very top floor is partially open to the elements. There is a bar on the top floor as well as the floor below. It is wheelchair friendly. Toilets are clean and have a view from the loo! Definitely worth visiting. Staff were friendly and polite.

The View from The Shard in London is simply breathtaking. As you ascend the towering structure, the city unfolds beneath you, revealing iconic landmarks like the Tower Bridge, the Thames River, and the sprawling cityscape. The panorama was stunning during sunset, casting a warm glow over the urban landscape. It offers a unique and unforgettable perspective of London, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking a remarkable city view.

The views are undeniably spectacular! However the photo printing service they run for all the view point customers is SO eco-unfriendly & overpriced! They take 3 images of you in the dark corridor on arrival, then photoshop you into "the view" and have those photos printed & ready to purchase for an extortionate price before you exit. You have an option not to buy their photos of course, which means they just bin all those unwanted photos afterwards. It's time you become more environmentally considerate team Shard!

The View from The Shard provided a wonderful setting for our anniversary date. The breathtaking views of London's skyline were truly remarkable. The food was delicious, and we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. Aryan, one of the staff members, was incredibly attentive and made our experience even more special. We had a memorable time, and I would highly recommend this place for a romantic date!

Great views, of course, and IMHO worth the quite expensive ticket. In my visit (late August afternoon) I could reserve a place in just 10 minutes notice, which was nice. My only complaint is the obsessive attempts to sell extras - both at the online reservation (You have to make an effort to skip too many offers...), and then when they try to sell you photos of yourself for an extortionate price.

Arrived 11 45 just before opening on Thursday. Lovely experience staff extremely efficient and courteous. Views amazing, captured the 'stuck' Tower Bridge. Doesn't occur often) Staff talk (72nd floor Chris and hat man) about bridges quite informative especially about the Ladies bridge built in 1941 built on time and on budget!!!! Its not often we hear that these days. Would highly recommend.

We had tickets for the Shard as a wedding gift. We were very lucky and had a beautiful day to visit at the beginning of October. The views are of course incredible. There are plenty of photo points. Everything was clean and well maintained. We had one drink each but refrained from an ice-cream or any other food. The drinks were fairly expensive but I wouldn’t have expected anything else to be honest. Great experience and enjoyed being on the top open-air level.

  • CMB Caspanello

DO this NOT the eye, it is a more pleasant experience. Very quick que, advice do not choose a beverage until you go to the top. The choices are vast and the champagne is the same cost. That you photos with the guide. You go up 2 different elevators. First you go up 33 floors then up to 68. To reach the top you climd up and few flights or small elevator. There are maybe 5 bars on those floors total. The cocktails are fantastic, enjoy on whole at the top.

  • Dolly H Chandra

Beautiful place the Italian Architect has made an awesome structure, very good facilities except that you have walk up to the open deck by 3 flights up. Lots of panoramic views of London.....River Thames in all its historical glory, all the architectural marvels...the London brige, the Tower bridge, the spires of the palaces and cathedrals, new and old all appearing to make London more explorable with its interesting statues, gardens and awesome heritage.

  • Baishali Roy

Fantastic view of London from the Shards. The staff members were all very friendly and very well coordinated. They take your pictures upon entering the venue and create an album. I really liked the customized background editing of those photos, good memories to have with you if you want to. They also have a souvenir store on the ground floor, loved the mini showpieces of the Shards. If you're here, please take some time to explore it as well.

  • Dave Peadon

Really nice experience. Very efficient process to you from the ground up to the viewing floor. Lifts extremely fast and no queuing at all. Once at the top you have 3 different floors to view from, so no problem with blocked views. Bars to buy cocktails from, so you can sit and watch a magnificent sunset over London. I’ve visited many viewing platforms on my travels, but this is by far the best with London being the most amazing city.

  • Alexis M Wellington

It is a cute place and the view is great however I don’t think it’s Worth the price. I went there because my work place pay for it otherwise I will have never gone. As a Londoner I recommend going to the sky Garden. The view is very similar and the entrance is for free. The sky garden is beautiful full of plants restaurants and bars. Also you can actually see the shard because the sky Garden is literally just in front of the shard.

  • Jay Finesilver

I made it to this viewpoint. It was OK. There is no place to take a photo without glass in front of you so all images reflected back in some way. I went after dark. It was fun to see London all lit up, hard to capture it. Tons of tourists everywhere too. The place has figured out the elevator timing quite well too. There remains a mass of tourists there st all times it seems. I found the nearby area to the shard interesting too.

  • François-Olivier Guay

Very impressive view. Most recommended. Good snacks and food on top. You see much stuff, except when it's raining too much. When it's raining, they give rain checks to come back another time. Useless if your on a tight schedule. Nevertheless, if you catch good weather (not probable), it's the best view in town. Not so much place to sit on top, tough. If you need to sit often forget about this place.

  • Winston Lindsay

I took my overseas family to visit the shard . Mind you their a high security check similar to the airport they confiscated my cigar cutter as though I was terrorist Imagine holding over hundreds visitors for ransom with cigar cutter make you wonder will the police negotiate shot to kill or roll over with laughter, i can't believe it . I was given a ticket to collect after the visit .

  • Trevor DC Gamble

The only truly awe inspiring viewing platform up high over the city for me. Beautiful breathtaking views here. Ticket price is steep. But so is the London Eye as well. There's free viewing platforms of course available elsewhere with good views. I think this is likely the best one though.

The best view of London. We tried to go to the Sky Garden, but they were booked for the day, so we walked to the Shard and were able to get in with no waiting. There is a local guide, Chris, at the top who was super friendly and was able to answer every question that was asked!

What a cool place with absolutely amazing views! Went by one afternoon after a friend recommended it and I’m so glad I did! Though it’s a bit pricey you can easily spend an hour or two there. It was a bit too cold to go to the outside portion but that part looked really fun. Overall it was a great experience and I loved seeing all the different views of the city.

  • Thivanka Manjula (TMV)

The tallest building in London and a must visit place if you are around town. A london pass can get you access to this location and pre booking is required. The view deck floor has a bar and drinks/food for you to enjoy and if you reach the place around sun down the view becomes spectacular on a whole different level. One of the best places I have ever been to.

  • Murad Omar

The view is definitely great. However, this is a hospitality business, I expect more welcoming experience, which to the most part it was except one gentleman at the security check who was aggressive and impolite. Honestly, so aggressive that airport security feels better.

Really good views of London from the top, 2 different viewing platforms, the last one is a few staircases further up. Lift up is really quick 3rd fastest in the UK. Was busy over the weekend, A bar at each viewing deck offering alcoholic and hot drinks too, however few seats or tables. Saying that it's worth the experience. We spent about 45 minutes overall.

  • Carla Bugauisan

Visited TheView yesterday morning . Entry time 11:30 am , amazing it is worth paying for . You can see as far as your eyes can see . The attitude of staff is excellent . I will go back again in here and will bring my family and friends for a cocktail in the bar . I don’t mind paying for , if I am treated right and these guys delivers the true value .

  • Genine Riddell

Wonderful experience. The queuing system is badly organised, no signs for where to queue, people pushing in ,only one girl trying to sort it out. Spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, well organised inside. Superb views over London and beyond, even saw the sunset. Would definitely recommend. Coffee a bit pricey, £11.00 for two mediocre cups.

  • Owain

Beautiful from the top and lovely staff work there however extremely overpriced compared to other European cities. It costs around €14 to get a city view in Brussels or Munich above those cities. Totally overrated expereince and over in less than 30 minutes.

I’ve been to London probably 100 times and never been here before. Pleasantly surprised how good it was! I found the window cleaners particularly interesting . Well worth a visit if a bit pricey (but I got our tickets on clubcard rewards). Lovely area of London too with Borough Market, Hays Galleria, HMS Belfast, and Tower Bridge nearby.

  • Димо Костов

The staff is 5 star. The experience is not. There is no open area, you can't sit on the top floor, there is glare everywhere so taking good images is nearly impossible. Tripods are not allowed. You have to be ready to do an airport security check.

Obviously the views are great. All the staff encountered were very friendly and courteous. Timed it to get the sunset so enjoyed the sights in daylight, dusk and night. Only downside was the queue for the bar on the top deck was 20mins long when we were there. Having bought the premium package I'd have hoped for faster/privileged service.

  • charles j

I thought the experience would be the usual tourist trap and I went there with a negative biais. However, I have to say I was actually blown away by the quality of the service and the F&B. The cocktails were just perfect, they actually have Moet Ice which is a rare treat, and the finger food perfect to spend a delightful afternoon break.

Very nice views of London for 14 miles in every direction. Reasonable price when you consider you can't otherwise get those views without a helicopter. Elevators are extremely fast and there's plenty of room to see once you're up at the viewing deck. Friendly people working there makes the experience more enjoyable, too.

  • Adam Turňa

The view is perfect, probably best in London and one class better than Sky Garden. However, in contrast to Sky Garden, you have to pay to go up and the drinks are quite of higher price (20ish per drink). Also its a bit difficult to take good pictures because of double glass and dirty glass. Still an amazing view though!

The views are truly great! You can see so much! The tickets however are very expensive and the buying process is somewhat difficult. It says 28£ online, but when we wanted to go up spontaneously, it was 32£. The lady at the counter seemed like her excuses were made up and also a discount voucher wasn't accepted.

Awesome experience. We had to book our visit online in advance to use our City pass. Slots are getting booked fast. Walking distance from Tower of London and London Bridge. We got free digital pictures on the way to the elevator (downloaded with a code), lots of souvenirs and a beautiful view of the city!!!

  • Philip Smalldon

It was one of the best experiences I have done, hopefully will get to do it again. Next time at night and i must say it was truly amazing to go with my bestie the staff were great, top of their game with Security to make the whole place safe for everyone to enjoy! 10/10 views of London. …

  • Karen Evans

Great views, even from the loo's! It was a gift so don't know the cost, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. You weren't rushed at all. Although the large man bellowing at you all the time, while you were queueing for the lift, to "Move up! Move up!" Was very irritating & not really necessary.

  • Kathryn Hall

Amazing experience and the price you pay online wasn’t bad at all. It can get very busy in the bars though so be warned. Truly breathtaking. The souvenir shop sold some lovely items and they aren’t overpriced at all. If you don’t get a good viewing experience you can go back for free.

Nice place to see the city, from either the 68th floor or 72nd, the views are incredible. There is a bar up there and a nice souvenir show. The cost is $32 pound.

Excellent views. Not enough seating in bar area and very expensive. £15 for a bowl of nuts, crisps and 2 soft drinks. Very nice friendly chatty staff. Can spend as long as you want there. Cold at the very top, could do woth outdoor heating maybe.

  • Scott LaRoche

Fantastic experience. I've heard conflicting comments about whether the view is better or worse than the London Eye, but I think The Shard is far better. Don't overlook the semi-outdoor observation level above the main observation level!

  • Andy Smith

Absolutely loved this experience. £32 per person when we went up. Staff were excellent though. Views when the weather cleared a bit were amazing.

Wow what an experience, loved it from start to finish. Staff fantastic, the guides who talk you through surroundings were fantastic, it's a must do experience. Drinks weren't as expensive as I thought they would be

  • Peter Nobbs

Outstanding. Worth the cost of entry. How else could I get these shots of St Paul's and Tower Bridge without a helicopter?

I went with my mum and we had a great time!! I also love that level 72 is the open air sky deck, so you feel like your both inside and out at the same time! Definitely an attraction that everyone should attend!

Far reaching views across London during sunset are just moments of happiness. 2 floors offering the views, of which one is open air. Bars are located at each view floor, so these areas can get quite crowded.

We always go around the world spending money to be at top viewing the beautiful city, but we never admire our own beautiful city. This so worth every money spent. London is really beautiful …

A must do visitor attraction! Quite expensive but hey you're on holiday. Must be booked in advance so try to pick good weather as you can see my photos are misty and hardly worth posting.

  • Richard Harding

Stunning views of London, shame weather was poor so distance was limited. Champagne was great, staff polite and efficient. Lift was fast! But nothing compared to the beauty of my wife!

  • Loes Rienstra

Extremely beautiful view. Very remarkable tower. Not cheap but for me it was worth every penny. I would love to have a tour through the whole building.....

A view of London from the top floor. You can buy alcoholic drinks and some light snacks on the 68th floor lounge. Not for the people who are scared of heights.
