Went for dinner on Friday and absolutely loved the food and atmosphere. We had a burger and chips, perfectly cooked with very good quality meat. We also had the ribeye steak with bernaise sauce, which was so delicious and again high quality meat. It was such a big steak I couldn’t even finish it. Will be going back as soon as we can. More

This little gem in Brentford is so popular but it so badly run. Anyone with half a business sense could in fact make this a popular gold mine. For some reason the owners just don't get it. Enough said, maybe one day it will improve but for years it's been a complete disaster with returning clients. It really is a complete disaster! More

Slightly hidden off the busy streets due to its location, but a fantastic option for a relaxed time with friends or family. They have a spacious garden at the rear which is adjoining the canal, makes it even better. Good service and great food/drink options. Definitely recommended over many surrounding pub options.

I was pleasantly surprised when I went for the first time to this pub. J.M.W Turned lived there for a few years The pub is nicely decorated with a big garden. Live music some days. Service was exelent, very helpful staff. I will definitely go back again. Dogs friendly

The food and the drinks splendid as always. But the service charge just threw me out. It should all be included in the bill. I don't like this payment on top of what you are planning on paying. But overall.. Great Christmas decor and amazing food.. More

We recently visited your restaurant to ring in the New Year and I have to say, we're thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was great and the new year decorations were fantastic. The food was also very good and the dancing and music added an

Lovely setting beside the river. Outdoor bar stools a bit rusty but had a good view. No coke on draught only in bottles so I had lemonade as extremely hot day and needed a pint. I can't comment on the food/alcohol as I didn't have any. More

Disappointing visit, due to no vegan main avaliable. This was adapted but made the meal of a cauliflower head, one baji and a little sauce. Out of the 3 meals this was also the most expensive. Would definitely not recommend for vegans. More

I ordered the hot roasted butternut salad and all it was was lettuce and literally about 8 tiny cubes of rather dry looking butternut which looked very unappetizing. With my own addition of salt, lashings of olive oil and balsamic vinegar

Absolute rip off & the manager isn't prepared to deal with issues in the kitchen. We experienced a disgraceful meal (see pics) which was charged at such high prices for the poor rubbish we received, which was advised to both bar staff and

Went in for Sunday Roast served by the lovely Sandra and Aiden who were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks .Sandra recommended the pork bellyand it did not disappoint. Meat was cooked perfectly and veg seasoned

Nice pub with a gastro feel and a spacious garden by the lock. All looked great until we ordered some food, the chicken burger was borderline insulting with it only filling half a bun. The pie wasn’t a proper pie, a puff pasty cover up.

Been here a couple of times the last years and never been dissapointed. The menu is far better than your regular pub menu with sharing platters and small bites. I allways go for the oysters with a pint of Guinness. Friendly and helpfull

On a recent business trip I found this place just by walking the neighborhood. I stopped in, and enjoyed my meal so thoroughly I chose to return with coworkers again later that week. Delightful upscale pub feel, terrific food, gracious

A fine destination gastropub with low ceilings and a delightful riverside garden to the rear. A selection of keg beers on offer but nothing from the cask to keep the real ale drinkers happy (at least as far as I could see). Plenty of

food took ages to come, clearly cooked everything together then let rest of food go cold until steak joint was cooked but still served. No explanation or update while we waited 45min. Did offer 25% discount, after I complained. More

We booked here for a late dinner after watching a rugby game nearby. On arriving to what appeared to be an empty pub we were apprehensive but walking through and into the garden is like going through the wardrobe I to Narnia!

And excellent afternoon with old friends. We were here for a oint or 3 and lunch. Neither disappointed in the slightest. The food was, surprisingly, excellent. The Bianci Funghi pizza is highly recommended. More

I am so grateful for the service at the Weir. They were so accommodating to our party and to a friend of mine who needed comfortable seating due to their needs. I wish I got the name of the lady that helped!

Been to the weir a few times now! Very good service and the food has always been good. The garden is a nice quiet space over looking the canal leading up to Brentford lock. Well worth a visit!

The Weir hosted my mother-in-law's belated 70th private birthday celebration in the conservatory area, which overlooked the garden area next to the water. Here's what she had to say:

I love The Weir, my favourite pub in the area. Always a great option for a meal or just a few drinks. Superb atmosphere, service and food, let alone the patio by the canal. More

Great location. Nice menu and food it really good, however the service on the few times I've been in could definitely be improved on. Staff seem young and not enough of them.

We came across Brentford Lock while visiting London to attend a concert at Wembley. We found the Weir Brentford on google search, and decided to give it a try.

Such a cosy and well decorated pub! Have very interesting menu and choices to acquire everyone's taste. The garden is wonderful, and it overlooks the canal.

No real complaints about this place, unlike one or two of the pubs in Brentford. This is a better venture than most in the area for a night out
