What a pleasant surprise this place continues to be. It's hidden as you walk down 2nd street but once inside it is pure bliss. Shout out to Anthony the bartender who has been at this location for a minute. This guy is quickly becoming a downtown Phoenix icon. I started going to the Pig at the 16th Street location and appreciated the motif but the space was always tighter than skinny jeans. When you walk into the downtown location your senses are overwhelmed with options from grilled cheese to reasonably priced beers available for happy hour. For less than $10 you can walk out of here ready for a the game or whatever your night offers depending on your choice in beer. If you have ever questioned the greatness of America then look no further to this bar and you will at least forget why your thinking was irrational if only for a while.

Cool atmosphere, prejudice middle-aged white male employee. Came here to get a drink after having fun at the drag queen show at Copper Blues this past Saturday. This employee asked if my friend and I were there for the wine tasting event. Not only was he unfriendly, but when I said no, that we'd just come from a drag show, he said "oh that's still legal in this country" with the most childish eye roll. It made me want to turn right around and walk out but we stayed for a single drink and got the hell out. Keep your personal, irrational fears for when you're off the clock. If a man who wears a dress and makeup threatens your masculinity, maybe you shouldn't work in a city where people actually have progressive thoughts and just want a drink at your establishment without hearing your unsolicited and outdated opinions

The Whining Pig provides excellent service, ambiance, and drinks to comfort any individual. My mother and I were seeking a place to drink and play a board game before meeting up with a friend for dinner, and this place fit the bill. The drinks were affordable, and plenty of board games were available. They even have arcade games attached to the wall. I will return when I'm in the area. Shoutout to the server who gave us a notepad to keep score of our Scrabble game. :)

the downtown location of the whining pig is essentially the best place to drink in phoenix, assuming you're into beer. an exhaustive-- some might say intimidating-- taplist supplemented by more bottles than you can shake a proverbial stick at, a decent wine list, and a healthy selection of locally brewed meads (all of which are fantastic) await you here, in addition to arcade cabinets and board games. unique decor and edison bulbs make sure your time here will be as memorable as possible whilst getting obliterated.

The Whining Pig is an absolute must visit ! I had an incredible experience there. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks are top-notch. Their extensive beer and wine selection is a delight for any connoisseur. It's the perfect spot to unwind with friends or even for a casual date night. Cool spot with great, friendly service, lots of wines by-the-glass, all at $9, $10, or $11 (some are super-pedestrian, but we each found a more obscure wine that was exactly what we were looking for!), and a great location in the heart of things! Grilled cheese sammies are the only food options, so we had to go elsewhere for dinner, but there are lots of options around there.

The Whining Pig is nothing short of a great time. The beer selection is enormous and will leave you wanting to come back for more. Over 120 different beers to choose from and over 50 different wines. The bartenders are knowledgeable and able to assist. Large enough space for larger groups but a social crowd if you are alone. A little bit of everything for everyone.

This place was cool inside and great atmosphere. The bad part the bartenders were in another atmosphere! Good I will f give 4 stars outta 5 and beer choices which bartenders again were not very engaged or insuthastic about helping. Service was definitely a 1 star outta 5. Great beer is had here. Such a large selection of hard to find beers and all the regular stuff you like. Highly recommend if you are a beer connoisseur. Stopped in for Founders tap takeover and it did not disappoint. They have a beer to make anyone happy and amazing service from some very cool people.

Great spot for a drink. Haven't been in downtown Phoenix in a long time and was glad to find this spot. Service was great, Anthony was professional and prompt. Like the selection of drinks, options are plentiful. The drink in the picture is Austin Eastsiders Blackberry Cider.

Such a fun place downtown! We enjoyed the music, hard working staff, and vibe. Good selection of wine, great selection of beer. Don't knock the grilled cheese sandwiches until you try them... They were delicious! Small food menu; eat before/after you go.

Great craft beer bar. I'm a big fan of fruited sours and they had a good selection. the wings were some of the best I have had. Fall off the bone with great sauce. Nice friendly atmosphere, highly recommend stopping if you are in downtown Phoenix!

Great atmosphere, friendly service, and a beer/wine list to satisfy just about any need, I enjoyed coming here for a pint. They have a lot of small board games to help make the evening more entertaining as well, which is always a plus in my book.
