Incredibly noisy and the staff does nothing about it. If you complain you are directed to Tracey Kanouse who says it's not their fault and if I want to go where it is quite don't go to the Library. Honest to God, I was told not to expect it to be quiet at the library. Libraries are supposed to be synonymous with the word Quiet. This is the loudest library in San Antonio. And they don't care. They claim they don't have enough staff but they are all sitting on their posterior behind the counter. It takes seconds to get off your rump and tell the kids to be silent or to leave. We're not talking Rocket Science.

Nice selection of juvenile materials and there are a couple of kid computers. The downside is the kids from the school next door are running around all over the place and there is no parking as there are parents parked there waiting for their children (despite there being signs posted that parking is for library use only). I was barely able to get into the parking lot. In the event you're needing some quiet I would recommend going here early in the morning or later in the evening once the school crowd has dispersed otherwise you will certainly be disturbed.

I come here often cause it's the closest to where I live and I'm not picky so I think it's an alright place. Although my only little problem is the middle school next door, most of the time when school is active kids will come to the library just to hang out or play games on the computers. They usually dont bother me but sometimes a couple kids will be rowdy. From what I've seen though the workers usually tell them to be quiet or leave.

It's a clean one story library. One guy talked on his phone majority of the time I was there, but he wasn't too much of a distraction. I was able to focus and get a lot of work done inside their quiet area, with a complete set up of table tops and chairs. I personally didn't experience a loud atmosphere (except the chatty guy, but he wasn't too loud) like others have stated in their reviews. I'd recommend giving this place a try.

This library is very small and a bit on the loud side. If you can find a back corner to work in you may be able to distance yourself from some of the noise, but there aren't very many places to sit that are not near the entrance. During my time there, an older lady answered and talked on the phone for a good 10 minutes. No one from the library asked her to step outside or to lower her voice.

My experience was soiled by the librarian there demanding my sister to "sit right" (my sister is the nicest preteen, and had a bit of a slouch). I have no idea why this lady felt entitled, important, and brothered enough to stop with her work flow to tell my sister to sit up straight, they're going to demand people to sit up straight but not be quiet.......ok.

Came here for a library card. The librarian (I assume) was helpful and put me on track for a card and gave me details about it. The library itself looked well kept and orderly. The computers were still off limits when I went, but when things open up I'm sure they will work great. I would certainly come back. Looking forward to checking out some media.

Don't you have more than five stars? I my library. They go waaaaaaaaaay out of their way to help you. They make suggestions to help you. Even now in time of Covid, they help as you park in the parking lot to wait for them to get your sanitized books and media material. I my library. …

I went to vote early at the Tobin Library, and I saw people,in line outside . wondering if it was going to be a good wait., It was a very nice experience for a Saturday. I must have spent twenty minutes tops. The line went fast and efficient. They(voting personnel) were kind and helpful. I had a good experience.

This library is organized well but if you plan to do any reading or homework etc. DO NOT COME HERE. This place is LOUD! Staff is nice but they seem to forget this is a LIBRARY! No “Shhh” not once, just yapping about maintenance and janitor walking by with trash bin on tile. Frustrating...

Avoid during school pick up/drop off hours, the parking lot is used by parents waiting and doing pick up. The library itself is clean and organized. I used self checkout and it was quick. Getting out the parking lot was another story.

This library is okay you can find what you're looking for pretty quickly though. But try not to take your kids on the weekend otherwise you will have old cranky ladies bragging about how they just don't like children !

Called to ask about printing services and Ronda was so nice and helpful! This location didn’t offer the service but she helped answer my questions by calling a location that did and she made the reservation for me.

I like the cleanliness and organization. Wish there were more private study rooms. Was a bit loud when the librarian chimed up the loudspeaker and announced children's yoga was soon to begin. I left shortly after.

Tobin library is quite charming. Not only do they have a vast array of books they also have DVD movies , are set up to take electoral Votes and are involved in many community events and projects.

Love my local library! Have always found something to entertain my brain. Travel books, cook books, sci-fi, mysteries, what ever you may be interested in, you can usually find at a library.

I went in today for early voting! The people that were there were really nice! And the time that I went was perfect because there wasn't a long line which is great! Don't forget to vote!

Love coming to Tobin library. Staff super friendly and helpful, always clean environment,and computers are ready to be used! Alot to choose from to read,check out or even movis to rent.

The people working there were very helpful. I am old and the two ladies there were patient and helped me find what I was looking for through a nationwide library network.

I went to the library for a job fair, but they accused me of being a vagrant and sent security not to kick me out but to harass me. Seems like a typical library. 2 stars.

Great library! Our business on this trip was to go and vote. They are great about it. Parking can get tough during voting hours, be patient. We're all in this together.

We went here to take advantage of early voting. We arrived an hour early on Sunday. (Hours were 12-6) Once they opened it moved very quickly. We were all done by 1230.

Really good place, in the back they have a little area where you can bring your own computer, along with these little charger ports at every seat

What's not to love about the library? You can get any book delivered right to the library of your choice. Everyone who works here is friendly.

Nice and neat section off not only Reading Books but also Videos.. Computers to use areas for Children so helpful and friendly.

Librarians BE QUIET. Y'all are too loud wth each other AND while encouraging patrons to talk and laugh LOUDLY with you all.

I've been through 5 different public libraries here in San Antonio. This one is my favorite so far. Peaceful!

It's very relaxed and they use the space well. But on the weekends it can be hard to find a parking spot.

It's a very nice place, you can find a lot of magazines, audio-visual resources, books and even crafts.

I go here so often !! Very peaceful. Gets busy and noisy after 3:30 though coz of the near by school.
