A friendly barmaster who may speak a bit of English (probably a lot more than he let on) but we conversed mostly in Japanese. Cocktail prices are quite high, higher than I would be willing to pay for more than one martini--though the martini I had was good (a vesper), if in a smallish-sized martini glass (maybe the one I have at home is oversized?) He doesn't make dirty martinis, apparently, and seems to be of a disposition that dirty martinis aren't a great idea. All fine except I prefer dirty martinis. Small dish of obscure but tasty barsnack comes unbidden, and with it no doubt a counter charge (customary in Japan). I just covered my eyes and paid. Wood everywhere, wood bar, elegant atmosphere without being too posh or gaudy. Can't recall if he had music going but I imagine he did. I was with a couple of other guys and we kept our voices down even though we were the only ones there. Get the master talking about liquor and it's clear he has researched his subject. All in all if you want to have one relaxing drink for about 20 bucks US I would definitely recommend. But don't expect a dirty martini. Forgot to ask why Tom & Jerry, as there is no animated artwork there. Maybe there is a meaning I am simply not getting.

I discovered this place thanks to its high ratings on Google reviews, and I must say it has become one of my favorite bars. Having visited numerous bars around the world, I can confidently say that this place stands out. The atmosphere is fantastic, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The owner of the bar is not only fluent in English but also exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. He made my visit memorable by crafting a perfect cocktail that wasn't even on the menu. The attention to detail and skill in mixology were truly impressive. I am definitely planning to come back again in the future. We were directed here by the bartender of Craftroom since it was near closing time and Craftroom was packed. He informed us that the owner of Tom and Jerry was one of his teachers. The bar was empty on a Saturday night, which meant we had the owner/bartenders full attention. He is truly incredible. We ended up drinking five stellar cocktails between the two of us. Each drink was unique and required a significant amount of work. While we were sad to have missed out on Craftroom - Tom and Jerry bar felt like a hidden gem that really should not be looked over.

This place had some of the best cocktails I've ever had! 4 of us went there and ordered over 10 different cocktails and they were all great. I especially liked that he asked us what we felt like and then recommended something. For example I asked him for something with whiskey and refreshing. Then we asked him for something Japanese but milky. And they were both great. The service was good. The place seats about 12 people max, is very cosy, there is only 1 bartender (the owner) and he's a great guy. Would highly recommend

Look. The only food is bar snacks, but don't let that deter you. This place is great. The owner and bartender speaks great English, and he will make you whatever your heart desires. Simply describe your cocktail flavor in the cardinal directions of sweet, sour, bitter, etc, and he'll do the rest. Feel free to specify a liquor of choice. Afterwards, he directed us to a great okonomiyaki place around the corner. What a lovely evening.

Unfortunately I can't remember the bartender's name but he made some of the best cocktails I've ever had. We had 5 or 6 cocktails in total and every one of them was absolutely perfect. At some point I told him I liked a cocktail from the menu but didn't want to order it again so he made up a new cocktail on the spot - which was better than the one on the menu!! He also said I can name it if I want Would definitely go back if I'm in Osaka.

Sehr schöne kleine Bar mit ruhiger Ambiente. Perfekt um den Tag ausklingen zu lassen. Der Barkeeper ist sehr nett und kann gutes Englisch. Die Cocktails, die er vor den Augen mixt, sind sehr lecker und preislich vollkommen in Ordnung. Sehr zu empfehlen!!

Tom & Jerry is a must-go whenever I visit Osaka because the drinks are not only masterfully made, but Tanaka-san always takes the extra step in terms of hospitality and quality. He has a charming personality and is always willing to share knowledge about his craft. I always recommend this spot to friends.

If you’re looking for an “experience” then this is the place! The master mixologist, Tanaka-san, has gone all out to creat the most impressive and mouth-watering cocktails that I’ve ever tasted in all of Japan! Well done Tanaka-san... see you again for the third time this week!!!

My favourite go to bar in Osaka especially in Kitashinchi. The bar is small and cozy and can only seat 11 people at once. The bartender; Tanaka-san who also owns the place makes a wicked good cocktail. Also has wide assortment of alcohol. There's a cover charge included.

Many, many bars in Japan do seasonal fresh fruit-based cocktails but this is maybe my favorite so far. There is a menu of signatures and classics in both Japanese and English as well.

Outstanding selection of Japanese and international whiskeys. Excellent drinks and cocktails for the non-whiskey drinking clients. Great guidance and service by the owner.

Loved my experience at Tom & Jerry Bar. Beautifully crafted cocktails. Attentive bartender. Clean bathroom! Small intimate bar - great for a date night. Smoking allowed.
