Bitumen Airfield located a short drive from Tooradin. There used to be a superb restaurant here, Wings and Fins, which closed a while ago, and we've had truly superb meals here. The restaurant was within a short walking distance from the airfield, this made it a destination airport for pilots. A scenic flight, gourmet meal or just coffee with views of Westernport Bay! Lovely! The number of destinations like this in Australia can be counted on one hand, so it was popular. Unfortunately Wings and Fins is closed and what's left is the Airfield and a few buildings that house flight schools, skydiving, etc. No public facilities at all, not even public toilets. Sad. Hope Wings and Fins, or another eatery can open as it was truly a unique venue.

Good little airport, great to fly out of & good little flying school.

A small local airport and a great place to learn to fly.

I only go here for Charlie's coffee van in the mornings.
