"Had to go traffic court today"
"I've had nothing but bad experiences with this courthouse the staff had been rude in the past but today for me had just taken the cake I was on the phone for over a half hour waiting on an agent it keeps saying that there's a higher volume of calls today which is fine I don't mind the wait I have three small children with me so when the attendant finally picked up which exactly 34 minutes after I first called I politely asked her give me one second just so I could go upstairs into a quiet room cuz my children are running around she said okay and not even a minute later she hung up the phone she acknowledged me and hung up this type of behavior is disgusting we all have something going on in our lives that are making it difficult for us I understand but is just unbelievable where these people these employees these government workers can honestly act this way and not care at all on who's on the other line smarten up please because you are dealing with people's lives"
"Just as other people have experienced, you get HUNG UP on if you ask a question they don’t want to answer"
"I attended this court house because I was charged with robbery"
"Be prepared to pay for parking and to be accosted by numerous ambulance chasing legal consultants and lawyers circling the parking lot like sharks"
Had to go traffic court today. Obtain a parking ticket using coins. I paid $5 for 8:50am to 10:05. Started a couple months ago. Enter the building and get a queue ticket number from the information desk. Pens are available in the adjacent room. Fill out an intent to appear form with ticket number. All they did was rubber stamp the ticket. Told me I will receive a notice in 5 months for trial in the mail. Washrooms are open to public so good stop for your walking adventures! Can fax a form requesting disclosure (police notes and radar ). Go on court date today (almost 9 months after in my case). I arrived at 8:55 because traffic was heavy due to eglinton lrt. Court w5 was second floor. Put all metal objects in tray, walk thru metal detector. Collect back stuff. Open doors with w5 on top. check in with PROSECUTOR in front before judge arrives. Tell him|her your pleading not guilty. Might try to convince you to adjourn the case and seek legal advice...don't. The judge comes in so stand up. The court calls the officer number and he|she comes in or not. Your name is called and go up to desk opposite prosecutor. Repeat your name to the clerk. Charges are dropped if the officer is not there. Left around 9:35 am. Coffee upstairs. Wedding room available. Halal food at Euro shawarma nearby

Just as other people have experienced, you get HUNG UP on if you ask a question they don’t want to answer. We all know it is the brown lady who often answers the phone. There has been many complaints over this lady and yet she is still providing the worst customer service I have ever encountered. It makes me question why she is even working at a courthouse, where your job is to assist people and provide information, she can’t even do that. I had to call three times and finally ask to speak to a supervisor to simply find out how to reschedule a court date. The lady kept insisting that it is NOT possible and sorry but you will be found guilty even if you’re not, regardless of what happens. When I finally got to a supervisor after being hung up on, he gave me a helpful answer in 20 short seconds.
I attended this court house because I was charged with robbery. When I asked the court officers near the front doors where my court room was they were very helpful. They were also gentle and respectful when searching me as I entered. I ended up getting convicted however, the Judge was very professional when sentencing me to 6 months in jail. We actually joked about it and plan on meeting up for beers once I'm out. All in all, a decent experience and would recommend attending this court house for any criminal matters. CONS: No free parking. But then again, I don't own a car and there is no free parking anywhere in this city anyway.
Be prepared to pay for parking and to be accosted by numerous ambulance chasing legal consultants and lawyers circling the parking lot like sharks. Once you get into the building, God forbid you should have to ask the information counter people for assistance. These individuals are behind bullet proof glass, in their rental cop uniforms and instead of helping, they provide you with a healthy dose of unnecessary attitude and bad advise. You'd think they were RCMP or CSIS the way the carry on. The chip on their shoulders and grotesque attitude is truly unwarranted. It's Pathetic! If I could give it 0 stars I would
The call representative hung up on me when i asked questions about somebody's court dates saying I have to know there address or date of birth but i didnt know it. Ok thats so rude, at least tell me what i can do to obtain these info, im just reading whats stated on the Toronto Services News release website. I know i can look up court dates online. How about tell me more about that instead of HANGING UP ON ME after I asked a question. She also wanted my drivers license when im asking what time my cousin's murderer court is. This is a homicide case and this treatment is something i dont need right now!
A court that doesn't have free parking. Was offered no assistance, person in front was too busy talking to a friend, wasn't told a prosecution date, called in a couple months later for it, was hung up on 4 times until they told me there still wasn't a date. 8 months pass and I find out my date was 4 months ago, no notice whatsoever. Sent trial date, no number to call back # for information. When they're closed and have you waiting on a customer service number that can't help you. It's the 311#
I was just hung up on. I see here I am not alone. These city employees have complete impunity and we have no recourse. Of course there is no data collected on the ethnicity of callers being hung up on... but with the complete confidence and arrogance the phone rep disconnected the call, it's absolutely clear she knows there will be no recourse for the caller.
THE MOST UNHELPFUL STAFF IN THE COURT SYSTEM IN TORONTO - AND WHY DO LAWYERS AND PARALEGALS GET TO COME AFTER THE PUBLIC ARE WAITING IN LINE AND THEN GET SERVED FIRST UPDATE ON THE PRIOR REVIEW: AFTER SOME NOTICEABLE CHANGES IN THE FRONT LINE STAFF THINGS HAVE BEEN IMPROVING WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE TOWARDS THE GENERAL PUBLIC
I got issued a ridiculous speeding ticket. we all know it's just a money grab but I'm trying to pay it online and it won't let me, I'm trying to call because I don't live in the city and they just keep hanging up on me. our tax dollars hard at work collecting more of our taxed dolalrs.
Lawyer up and they will stop feeding you excuses. Post their actions to cp24 and they will stop lieing. Supervisor (M. M) is a joke, don't waste your time or trust her/it. Agents lie on the phone, record them. This Court system makes me embarrassed to be Canadian.
Clean, and organized however the woman at the service desk had such a thick accent I could not understand what she was telling me. This is a real problem for a government office.
Lady’s in booth very rude . Told me fill up application come back in 10minutes. Waited for an hour. It’s crazy if you hate your job quit.
Beautifully designed building. I've been by several times but usually when it's closed. A Richard Trus review
Way better then the East courthouse, the lines move 10x faster and the staff actually care.
