Like hundreds others, I was there for the Sam Heughan bottle signing. There was a lot of things that could’ve been handled differently or could’ve been better prepared for but is it fair to say that was Total Wines fault? I don’t think so. I’ve worked in customer service & management for most of my life & there are things to consider. Fire code for one - it was hot. Boy was it is hot.. but depending on the size of the building, places are only allowed to have X amount of people in the building at one time & they were also open for normal business. Again, it was hot over 105° that day. I was out there with y’all, I understand. I had to remind myself that it was a FREE event and we were out there because we chose to be. The line - for the most part people kept their place & everyone got along nice, but we noticed many cutting & squeezing in, which made those who waited for hours not able to get in - again not total wines fault. Most of this stuff is self governing & a community effort. Those who were in the wrong, could’ve been more respectful. About the preorder & signed bottles - that was confusing. A lot of people thought that because you preordered that was your ticket in - nope. We were reminded by staff that it was first come first serve. Sam was not going to pre-sign anything, but they asked him to come in sooner to do so - to help make things more efficient. Point for total wine. Lastly, TROY. Somebody give that man a raise or a promotion or both! He was out in the heat WITH us people. Don’t forget that. He checked on us, answered all our questions, brought us water, took people inside that were close to passing out. He was quick to call the medics & bring ice etc. The most patient & helpful man at an event I had ever seen. In closing I would say overall total wine did the best that they could with what they were allowed to do. There’s always someone above them that has to say NO or we can’t do that and we don’t know the reason why. Sam & his team got there early & stayed over - they too did the best they could. Tips- pop up canopy tents for shade would’ve been great & shave ice trucks in the parking lot could’ve been a nice perk too. Thank you Troy for doing more than just your job. Thank you for being a decent human being with empathy - you work ethic is something to be admired. I hope you get the recognition you very well deserve.

This is probably my fav location in ATX despite the issues with parking (sometimes) and the traffic nightmare that can sometimes plague the ever-popular Mueller area. That being said, I recently came here for a Glenmorangie scotch tasting course and it was abfab! Definitely got my money's worth in knowledge and product and they did a great job with a little tray of palate-cleansing nibbles and a dropper to cut the scotch! I can't wait to partake another class! I also love this location because they always seem to have free tastings of some really great spirits out on the main floor. I have come across some bourbons I have never even heard of recently (which is a feat for anyone who knows me) as well as some spirits I didn't even know they carried (sotol anyone?). The staff are nice, engaging, and always approachable! I also appreciate that they are knowledgeable, but when they don't know an answer, they don't BS you, they will actively help you find it. All in all, this place is the entire package when it comes to being a reasonably priced Booze-topia!

One of my fav wine stores I have found in the city. With a diversity and unique variety of different wines, mixers, beer and liquor, it's really an all-in-one stop shop. I really like coming here personally for my red wines, in particular for my Bordeaux wines. I recommend trying their Ukrainian vodka as well, it's really good and anything I can do that is small to help out the country at this time, even if it means contributing in this small manner. And not to mention that this store and their restrooms are always very very clean and well organized too. And there are always very friendly and helpful staff members greeting you and there to help you find anything you could possibly need and then some as well. And most of the time they even have great deals, discounts and bargains here as well, which is just an added bonus. A little Ice cream on top of the cake. Definitely highly recommend this place, it's one of my go-to places for all of my wine and other libations and related drinks for sure.

This happened yesterday 07/06/2020 around 5 to 6 pm, I a 21 year old was buying alcohol accompanied with my friends that weren't 21. When one of your managers came to the register I knew to expect to be denied the service due to their age and them accompanying me. NOW what I wasn't expecting was the hostile attitude he gave me DEMANDING ME to leave. Again I was cooperating with them because theres no reason to be mean to employees, they are there to do otheir job. But for that manager to speak to me in demanding voice and and using hostile vocabulary was something I'm not gonna tolerate. I did not ask for his name because he had already humiliated me by raising his voice and I was uncomfortable. I'm not asking much, but please make sure your managers know how to handle this type of service and to be a little bit more friendlier especially if theres no type of escalation between customer and employee

We used Total Wine for the wine, champagne, and liquor for our wedding. Rob Moshein was the Wine Sales Associate that helped us with the selection process. Rob was patient and thorough, asking us about the details of our wedding to help make the best recommendations for us. He also allowed us to sample a few different wines and champagnes so we could pick the ones that were perfect for us. The whole process was very easy and the prices were fantastic! We paid at the time of pickup, just a couple days before the wedding. Everything was ready to go and just as we expected. Total Wine also lets you return unopened bottles, however, we had the perfect amount for our wedding, so we didn’t end up needing to return anything (just took home the extra 6 bottles of wine that were left over). I would absolutely recommend Total Wine if you are looking for an alcohol vendor for your wedding.

I used to like being a employee at total wine would even go in early until I got a false case if your a employee do not share loyalty to account with your family and close friends they will say its theft yes theft if this was so much a problem why would mangers ring them up even tho coustmers share there loyalty to account all the time im convinced they hiring African American to try give them a case its discrimination the lost prevention guy even made a comment oh you've never been in trouble before thats how I knew it was discrimination...... When I say manager would ring them Lisa, & the store manger Heather has checked them out with no problems after I said I wont off June 19th I start having problems.... On another note I know somebody that has been there for long time that share account with her a family and friends but she a different color so I guess she get a pass

Love this store because of all the individuals that work there. It is not very often that Total Wine does not have the product I want in stock. If by chance this happens, I have no worries because a highly suitable and comparable replacement item will be suggested and given to me by one of the very, very knowledgeable Total Wine & More staff. This same knowledgeable staff helps make my shopping experience smooth and fast as they assist navigating the vast jungle of beer, wine, spirits and more and guide me to each item I desire to purchase. I have shopped this store numerous occasions, and not once have I suffered, nor whitnesed, any substandard, mean, lazy and/or aggressive Total Wine staff. So much selection at unbeatable prices with exceptional customer service! Everything you need is here in one place, so much variety and everyone who works here is so helpful with any question or concern you may have. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to ensure you find what you are looking for - or for those items you do not realize you are looking for. It is such a welcome relief to shop somewhere that prioritizes customer service and knowledge of the product they sell. We were even able to score a free Wine class when they had their Grand Opening with certificates they were handing out. Sometimes you will find some amazing discounts and markdowns that are mind blowing. Whatever you are looking for related to wine and spirits you will find here!

I really enjoyed most of my visits here in the past. But today wasn’t a very good visit most of the employees there act like they didn’t want to check anyone out. Everyone was standing away from their register acting as they had more important things to do. I understand the concept of not liking your job but learn customer service when people come to shop in your store understand no one came to see you!! Typically when I go out after a long day of work having to deal with people as well the last thing I want to do is encounter terrible customer service from stores I spend my money at. It’s said that the only time I’ve gone there and receive bad customer service was from the black employees as a black person myself it’s really saddening and sickening. I’m truly disgusted

Total Wine is an alcohol paradise. Anything and everything you could possibly want all under one roof. Total Wines beats our Specs in almost all categories (and I really like Specs). What I love most about Total Wine is their beer selection. I enjoy trying new things, beers included. But I'm over buying a 6 pack on a gamble and realizing I hate it. So now I buy singles, why not try a beer 1 at a time? If I like it, get a 6 pack the next time. If I'm on the fence, buy 1 or 2 more. My family was in from Houston. I was extremely excited that this Total Wine had a completely different beer selection. Obviously it was very Austin focused, but also had more Dallas/Fort Worth beers as well. Went home with 26 unique beers I've never tried (no duplicates!). A+++

Only been to this location once but the staff was super helpful and knowledgeable. Asked about a sweet wine and the lady was able to tell me about sweetness and how it is affected by acidity and how that can make a sweet wine more drinkable to those that are not as find of sweet wines. Have suggestions of different ones to try. Another staff member one exactly where a wine was that we were looking for. Another great thing about all of these stores is that they do samples frequently which gives you a chance to try something before buying it. They also have the largest selection of miniature bottles I have seen which is good if you want to try something before buying a big bottle. Would highly recommend checking this place out or any of their locations.

I had a little time to kill, so I thought I would stop by and buy some liquor. I was in a bit of a hurry, but still had some time to look around and ask a few questions. I spoke with Ted, who helped me select a tequila, and answered a strange question I had as well. he didn't know the answer to one of the questions so he consulted with a couple of other employees. I liked his explanation with questions I had, and I could tell he was knowledgeable about the products and even the taste of some liquors. When I was ready to check out, someone guided me to an open register, and proceeded with the transaction. I will definitely be back! This is the lowest prices for liquor I have found here in Austin, and the customer service is top notch!

I like Total Wine & More. They're serious about the "More" part of their name: they've got beer, they've got liquor, and they've got products related to them all. Total Wine Mueller offers a classroom where you can learn about their products. If there's no class in session, the room is available for community to use for free. They also host "Sip and Mingle" events. At the last "Sip and Mingle" I met a few neighbors and sampled a LOT of wines. Shout-out to Sarah and Jonathan for their hospitality! Total Wine isn't a thing where I'm from, so I was happy to be introduced to them. Good prices. Subscribe to their newsletter and you'll score a coupon once in awhile. Easy shopping center parking.

My wife and I love to entertain, so it shouldn't be surprising that we often find ourselves here for restocking or collecting wines and spirits. Though not my pick for the harder to find Bourbons, Whiskeys, or even aperitifs etc... the wine selection is always quite nice. The staff are friendly, and generally very knowledgeable both on inventory and general product information. Rarely have we been guided on a wine and not felt it was adequately represented when we opened and enjoyed it. Rob, in particular, is a fine help in that department. Take advantage of the staff here, they want to help and they are not salesy or pushy. Trust them, it's worth it!

This review is for my wedding order at this specific location. They do have some of the best prices around. However, my experience with the wedding services was sub-par. Our consultant grossly under quoted us. He told us multiple times that "people always think their family needs a lot of alcohol but that's not the case." I ordered 2 additional handles of tequila and we still ran out. I more than doubled our wine order and we had only 6 bottles left over. The worst part of the whole experience was that when we came to pick up the order, over HALF of it was missing. If you're planning a wedding, consider using an alternate location or going to Spec's.

I went to the store for the first time after receiving a flyer in the mail. Their prices blow Spec's out of the water. The staff at the front checkout know me by name. I found a brand of tequila called legado that my husband ended up liking better than Patron! They I have a huge selection of wine spirits and mixers and beer. They also have a small humidor with cigars and mini cigars. Just go buy ice here it's kind of expensive. Go to Speedy stop the ice is $1.49 for 20 lb. Make sure you join their Rewards Club to earn points on your purchases and eventually if you get to the Grand Reserve level you can get coupons or something.

Worst retail experience I have had in a long time. I frequent this store, and today proved to be one of the worst experiences and I do not think I will ever be coming back. It seems no one in this store knows what products they actually have/what would fit a customers wants, and if they do have an opinion on the product, it is to tell you that you would be better off purchasing the more expensive item. Never once have I been approached by an employee, I always have to ask for help if I need it. Management must be very poor, as all employees are RUDE and not willing to help paying customers. It’s quite a shame.

The best liquor store chain in Austin. It would be hard to imagine more friendly and helpful staff. A few days ago I bought a bottle of wine me and my wife really liked. When I came the next day to buy some more of the same they were out of stock. I asked and they looked it up to tell me that their distributor dropped that particular wine and they found they still have some bottles in their other store, called them to make sure that what they see on their computer is correct and asked to have 6 bottles put on the side for me. Which was waiting for me half an hour later when I reached the other store.

I love total wine for their enormous selection but I had a very bad experience at this location. I went in to restock my bourban bar. A young lady asked if I needed help and said she could recommend some bourbans if I liked. I politely said no thank you I know what I like. She then looked at my cart and started to criticize my picks. I tried to end the conversation but she continued to follow me with unwanted comments. I moved to another section of the store and she popped out of nowhere again. I appreciate customer service but let me by my booze in peace. I will not return to this store.

5 ⭐️ for the assistant manager Troy! He worked so hard during the Sassenach Spirits event. He was very courteous and helpful the whole time. He was out there in the heat with us most of the time. Wish there was a little more info posted about the event and when I called a couple days prior, they said to check the website for times which was never posted. They could’ve just put out that lines could start at 8am when the store opened. I think the even organization is more so on the SS team and not the store itself. I don’t think they expected such a turnout at each place. Thank y’all!

Went today for the Sam Heughan Sassenach bottle signing and all I can say is TROY! He was absolutely WONDERFUL! So patient, kept us all up to date on what was going on, answered the same questions over and over, handed out water, and just the nicest guy. He even took a picture with us! I hope he knows how much we all appreciated him today in this heat! Above and beyond The store itself is big and carry’s a large selection. There were also lots of samples and staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We shopped after we got our bottles signed:)

Had a horrible encounter with one employee at checkout recently. Don’t remember her name, all I know is that she was wearing cat ears. Her attitude was awful towards my boyfriend and I. She didn’t even greet us. We were looking at some items they had right by the registers and when we walked up to her she gave us a nasty look along with asking if we were ready in a snarky tone. She came off very loud and aggressive. After we were nothing but nice towards her.

I have always tried to shop non chain places but Total Wine really goes out of the way with customer service, the staff is always super knowledgeable and friendly. The selection of spirits (not a wine guy) is amazing. Prices are even better than the competition PLUS if you get in the rewards program you get points for all your purchases! I got on their mailing list and have attended several tastings and had a blast.

Like the comprehensive selections of wine and spirits but try to spend some uninterrupted time browsing the inventory—its literally impossible. Total Wine is becoming Total Assault. It is not uncommon to be asked 3-4 times in a 10 minute visit if I need help. Believe it or not, I enjoy perusing the inventory to see what’s new or if I can find a well priced, hidden gem. But incessant interruptions ruins every trip.

Very disappointed! Waited in extremely hot weather (106 degrees) to see Sam Heughan and he left as we were waiting at the front door. Why wasnt this event better organized? For those that pre-ordered (prepaid) we were told the bottles were signed and they were not. We had to get in another line and switch the bottles and people coming out of the store said they got pics without purchasing the bottles.

Today is my birthday, I came to this store with my friend, he came to me from Russia as a tourist, of course he does not have local documents, only the passport of his country. The store staff refused to sell us drinks because my friend didn't have a local driver's license. I have been buying alcohol on this network for three years, but this was the last time. I give 1 star for excellent service.

It’s always a good experience going into Total Wine & More. They have a wide selection of pretty much everything you could imagine. The only thing I thought was a little lacking was the display for glassware. It wasn’t terrible but it could definitely be improved to match the rest of the store. That is a minor detail and you should check this place out if you are looking for a good drink to try.

This is my favorite bottle shop in Austin! The prices are very competitive and some items can only be found at Total Wine. The staff is amazing, very knowledgeable and professional. They also have excellent classes to further enhance one's knowledge of wines and spirits. My favorite everyday drinking wine is a very lovely chardonnay, Pacific Peak, only $2.99, don't let the price scare you away.

I really like this store and it's my go-to every time I am in Texas. Great selection, thoughtfully laid out and, as with all my pandemic based posts, they are doing their best to keep people safe, which I take as a representation of quality ownership and management. My main focus when shopping is scotch and bourbon and they had a couple unique items i had not seen before. Highly reccomend.

Overall I enjoy shopping at the store however my most recent visit prompted a 3-star review - due to an unhelpful cashier. The wine chain should put their most helpful employees at cash registers, and find other positions for less helpful employees. If your cashier is unable to help me then maybe I should take my business somewhere else, where they will be glad to help me.

They have just about EVERYTHING you could want or are looking for - and if not find a replacement. However, don't trust the associate recommendations. They often recommend something "close" to what you want and it is way drier or sweeter. I get they feeling they are selling me something without knowing what I'm talking about or having tasted what they are recommending

By far the worst Total Wine & More store I ever been to! Very unprofessional cashiers who absolutely don’t care when they scan bottles at checkout. Damaged a couple of bottles I was buying as a gift. Totally disappointed. Nevertheless, the store is decently-sized and carry a lot of regular and seasonal products. But save yourself the headache and shop somewhere else.

Watch your wallet at this location. I found that they were trying to charge a higher price at the register than what was posted on the shelf. After they confirmed the register price was higher, the cashier had to get permission to charge the posted price and override the register price. No apologies given for trying to charge me more than what was posted.

Huge, HUGE selection! I honestly was not expecting that, because it looks a lot smaller from the outside. This was my first time inside a the Total Wine & More and I was super impressed. They had a giant selection, and I found things that I hadn't found in other liquor stores. They also had some nice sales at the time. I will definitely be back again!

Love this store! Very knowledgeable staff, and the managers are awesome also. Ted, who I believe is their spirits manager is always especially a help, and gives amazing information. If you’re serious about you cocktails this is a great store as are all total wines I have visited. They can point you in the right direction no matter your budget!

As always, Total wine and more is the place to go if you need that special bottle and don't want to worry if they carry it or have it in stock. Helpful and knowledgeable staff, clean store, and more alcohol than you can shake a stick at. They also have a very nicely stocked humidor if your looking for a good stick to go with that bottle. A+

Staff is always helpful and there’s a huge selection for all price ranges. I went in today looking for a red wine and Michael showed me the wall of staff favorites. He recommended one of his favorites, L’Onde, among others. The L’Onde Roythmique Lunaire (75% Cabernet Franc and 25% Merlot) has become my absolute favorite thanks to him!

I had like 5 minutes to grab a couple of bottles and give my daughter a chance to use their restroom. After I used 4 minutes finding my first bottle, I asked them to help me find another particular flavor. They directed me where to go in like 5 seconds and was right out the door. They know their stuff and have a huge selection!

The best prices in town and you can order online for curbside pickup. Unfortunately, you can't get anything remotely hard to find online so a mixed bag. They have the best website of any liquor store in Texas and they make a great baseline when you want to know if a "sale" is actually a "sale." Looking at you, Twin Liquor.

I felt like a kid in the candy store lots of options however there still missing the Whalers dark rum I wish there distributor would sell it in Texas everything else was great customer service is good the samples they give is good. Only thing at Christmas time please start stalking the chocolate liqueurs those are amazing

I’ve tried multiple total wines, and I always regret going. If you look young at all they are so rude and dismissive toward you. They don’t even say hi when you walk up to the register, they don’t give you a second to put everything down and grab your ID before rudely asking for it. Terrible customer service

Seemingly infinite and overwhelming beer and wine selection covering a broad spectrum. Rewards membership is free and has good redemption rates. Hands down the coolest collection of swag for alcoholics from duff coozies to modern decanters. Try and set aside some time to explore the whole place...its big.

If you are looking for variety, great customer service, and high quality liquor this is the best place to visit. It's far superior to any liquor store. But you might think that this kind of quality service would add to the cost to the product, but it doesn't. This is easily my go to liquor store

I always get my alcohol from this location. Easy place to shop for what your looking for. Even when your just undecided you get offered new selections to taste when shopping. Plus they have a reward program when you continue to purchase from them. Love this place o yeah prices are great

I always love going here. The team members are always very informative, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Whenever I want to try something new I always love the suggestions they provide. The location is also very convenient to get to. This is indeed Total Wine and Much More. :)

Great store centrally located. Staff are friendly but they will push you towards TW's private labels, for better or worse. Selection is just like any other Total Wine - really nice! Only gripe is that any allocated whiskies are only for people that spend $2500+ in a year.

I was at the store for Sam Heughan’s Sassenach Spirit event, and all of the Total Wine & More staff were amazing and well coordinated. Rob, in particular, was treating us with kindness and respect. My husband and I will definitely come back to buy some more drinks!

I wanted the plata version of a the house of chihuaha sotol. Staff researched, found it, shipped in a box and held it for me. Then coming back Lisa had a team hunt that box down and get me more. Who needs a private liquor connection when you get service like this.

Shout out to the awesome staff! I'm not a drinker but needed some non-alcoholic 'champagne' to celebrate a super special occasion. The gentleman who helped me was ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR! He went well and above for a guy that wasn't even there to buy alcohol.

Great prices on Wine and Spirits. If you order online though make sure to check that your beer or cider isn't expired. Unfortunately had that happen on an online order, and was none to pleased with that. But otherwise, definitely still worth shopping here!

I moved to Austin from Dallas and this store is still my favorite; greatest display youll see in America when it comes to Liquor with the widest variety of cigars as well ... they sometimes give as well presentations on wine but that was pre-pandemic.

Big facility, like a kid in a candy store! Has everything you can imagine including wines that aren't carried at local spirits places, offers beer, wine, liquor, candy, gifts, and everything is organized. Beverage tastings everyday, super awesome!

This place was exactly as the name stated. They have so many options and are very clean and organized. There were plenty of friendly staff ready to assist. We were in and out fairly quickly. My wife and I will shop here again when in the area.

The prices are great, the service is fantastic, and the location serves me well. It's nice to enjoy wine and have a local hub that can help me partake in the best options. You won't be disappointed, unless they don't carry what you want.

Fantastic selection of some of the hardest to find brands in the business! But be careful!! Thoss rare ones are one per limit. But that's good, leaves more for the rest of us! I will ALWAYS GO BACK! I don't care that it's out of my way!

Troy at total wines is a gentleman and a scholar and went the extra mile to help me when I was in distress over a returned order. It made my day and was a good reminder of how impactful a strangers kindness can be!

They have great selection and good prices as far as I can tell. And the staff has always help me find things or even pick out what I might like if I just tried to describe something to them in the wines or Liquors.

I would have given this establishment a 4 or 5, but the attitude of the person who helped me was astonishingly rude, She may have been having a bad day for some reason, but her behavior was incredibly discourteous.

I love this place so much because they have different things in intestines that you can try to see if you like them but they also sell their brand of alcohol to which is very good alcohol y anything that you want

Beautiful store, especially the interior. Lovely place to just take in and walk around. I'm happy that they have Kosher wines at a very cheap price to choose from for Hebrew and Kosher cultures and diet.

Super convenient, mostly best prices anywhere (Bird Dog bourbon is roughly $6 more per 750ml than I got it for in KY), fantastic tastings of various wines and spirits from around TX and the world!

Unbelievable selection and knowledgeable staff. Unlike other Total Wine stores, here you get the feeling that your patronage is appreciated and they go out of their way to be super helpful.

High quality selection at the lowest cost. This is not an ad... they really, really have cheap prices. I always buy my whisky/scotch here and save compared with Specs, Twin Liquors, etc.

Each location is great! Staff are very friendly and helpful. I love seeing what is in stock online to make sure we go to the right location for the odd ball liquor we're looking for.

The whole town is out of Silver Oak (restaurant hold) but they had it here! Kelly, the supervisor, was incredibly helpful! Made my birthday special! I highly recommend this place!

Use to be friendly, helpful and more personable...now it's more like Specs. One guy stands near the entry, no smile or greeting. Cashier's were the same way too, non- engaging.

Always great, the staff is exceptional, so glad they offer curbside! They also have soju/shochu in their roster, which is a bit rare in the states in my experience.
