*Updated Dec 23* I'd be very worried if the company I had hired to manage my retail park was not monitoring mainstream reviews and reporting it back to the hiring company. Google obviously invite reviews and updates and I think they are pretty major the last time I checked. Anyway. I gather the retail park has been managed by workman.co.uk who I'm still waiting a response to regarding Smart Parking Ltd and a £45 'charge' I incurred for being 14 mins over the three hour limit at a retail park I have spent thousands at over the last 20 plus years with shops such as #Lidl #Boots #Halfords #Argos (Now closed down) #Wilko (closed down) #PretaManger #Costa #Asda #Currys and #Greggs. I'm sure that these brands would expect a properly run park too and are fully aware that their customers use the car park. Anyway, in addition to parking concerns shared by others, there is still no toilet provided by the Retail Park, and bicycles commonly get stolen during the daytime despite security staff, cameras and... parking patrols. So there's room for improvement, but Workman Retail and Leisure should respond to customers and represent the interests of the companies that take them on. Let's see what my next update will be. There's always a hope I'll be able to delete this epic before long but it spans a few years now. *Updated Oct 23* No progress regarding customer service response from the agents running this retail park but in the meantime Wilko now lies empty and so does Argos unfortunately. It's still a place to be cautious about locking up bikes and there's there's still inadequate toilet provision here. * *Updated: August23** Nothing has changed except Argos has now closed down and Wilko may be next. Still heard nothing from Workman, the managing agent for this retail park. Sadly my experience of 20+ years of custom at the many retailers here such as #Boots, #Wilko, #B&Q, #Lidl, #Asda #TKMaxx #Argos and #Next has been tarnished by the arrangement they have with Smart Parking Ltd who oversee their parking. I was 'fined' £45 for being 14 minutes over the 3 hour period. They haven't arranged any customer friendly leeway for this (the obvious thing to put in place) and I doubt #SmartParking has discussed my follow up with their client (the retail park), to enable this. It leaves a sour taste and it's a shame I must now warn others about how customers can be treated here. The park's management company, #WorkmanFM #WorkmanRetail&Leisure was investigating my query but didn't communicate its conclusion after expressing initial concern, and despite my polite follow-up emails to check. Also there's no toilet facilities operated by the retail park and sadly, those provided by Asda or Lidl are often unavailable. And while they continue to treat customers badly, it's also quite well known within the local community that it's not a safe place to park bikes. Many have gone missing even whern secured to the bike stands provided and with security staff and cameras on-site. Not impressed.
I've been using this park for 20 or so years but couldn't believe the attitude of the company managing their parking and then the company responsible for managing the park. The former (Smart Parking Ltd) 'charged' me £45 for being 14 mins over the three hour parking limit. The latter (Workman Retail and Leisure) failed to follow through a perfectly polite request to review my custom and what had happened on this occasion. I'd worry if either company represented my retail park which then has a knock on effect on the brands that trust them to manage the park properly such as Adidas, Boots, Asda Living, Lidl, Wilko, Halfords and TKMaxx, all of which I've visited and service the local Tottenham Hale community and further afield. Get it sorted and start thinking about the customer please. I made it clear that I hope I wouldn't have to start resorting to social media and further afield as a last resort to be treated fairly, but the lack of adequate follow through means I need to warn others. Hopefully they'll remember and get in touch with me rather than doing nothing. I very rarely give poor review for anything unless I've spoken with the company first Things have gone too far and many consumers just want basic and fair customer service. Thank you
The retail park is very handy for locals like myself, with supermarket options (Lidl, Food Warehouse/Iceland), DIY options (BNQ, Asda Home, Wilko), electronic goods (PC World/Currys), pharmaceuticals from Boots and clothing options from Next and JD Sports. This obviously isn't the same as going to a mall but does offer a great place to go to for everyday olitems. Lidl offers great value for money, though can be very busy in the evenings and weekends; PC world is basically standard everywhere - though this one does suffer from a lack of availabile staff; and BnQ is sometimes fine for customer service and sometimes dreadful with staff literally saying 'I don't know' and walking off when you ask them a question, but as mentioned sometimes the service is excellent. If you live locally you'll want to come here for shopping and I think the variety of shops are good enough. My only advice is try to go late in the mid week evening or early on a weekend morning for ease of parking, assuming you can't go during working hours.
DO NOT CYCLE HERE/LEAVE YOUR BIKE Cycled here, locked bike in the bike park adjacent to Halfords an underneath a CCTV camera. Went to B&Q for 11 mins (literally exactly 11 mins). Came back and bike had been stolen. Went straight to the security office where Robert who on duty laughed in my face, said it happened multiple times a day, that there was nothing he could do and didn’t even try and help/review cctv or anything. He then said that there’s a least one person who goes and steals bikes there almost daily and they recognise him from his walk and posture but cos he covers his face they don’t bother doing anything. Also the cctv camera covering the bike area was broken and they said it had been for a while. Not sure what the point of that security team is tbh.
Working around here, on the building at 1 Ashley Road, and usually I when I take my break I go to the retail park. Even when I need some materials or tools B&Q is just 5 minutes away. This place is very handy and most of the shops here got very affordable prices, besides Adidas. My main shops are Gregg's and Lidl, I take my food from there. Gregg's is lovely, costumer service more than lovely and also the food. Try to not walk around EE or you will end up with a plan of £250 pounds a month ( happened to me couple years ago). I got used to this area already as I've spent a couple years around. Can't complain about anything besides thieves that will nick your iphone and smart watch you've bought from EE. Nice place overall.
I went this morning to make an exchange. the security rudely told me to leave the shop because I was not allowed.Fair enough, I went outside and asked to speak to the manager. The manager told me that she has never had any complaints about her staff. In fact, everyone inside the shop is friendly and well-mannered, but the security woman…. a truly chilling experience, she almost looked like she wanted to raise her hands to push me at the door! In this case I would have expected an apology from the manager but she made it a point to point out that she could not apologise. Totally disappointed , terrible experience!
Plenty of stores and, yes, it's nice to have all of them in one place. HOWEVER I cannot say that the variety offered within these specific branches of some nation-wide retailers is that great aside from maybe Tk Maxx. I also find that because this place is packed and busy every single time I come, most of the stores are super dirty and messy - especially George / Asda - and the queues at Lidl really put me off from shopping here. Would not recommend unless you really need to come here for something specific you cannot find down in Walthamstow or around Tottenham otherwise, sorry.
I love this place! It's in the ULEZ zone. Parking spaces are always available. You have all different supermarkets to shop from but surprisingly the ASDA there sell home items only, no food! I also found there the food WAREHOUSE by Iceland Foods. The deals available are to die for, especially if you have a freezer or two! . Argos is there too. The bus and train station is just across so easy to get to. I have now been a few times and all that's is missing is a cinema, but oh well, Odeon Lee Valley Cinema is not that far!
Good place to go shopping, with quite the variety of different shops, from clothing (next & adidas) over supermarket (lidl) to anything home related (currys, b&q, argos). So very handy to go for a general shop, especially when just moving in. Certainly not the fanciest shops at all. A mall would have been a lot nicer, there's not too many good food options, most are just very cheap unhealthy fast food. Also it feels very car centric with the massive car park in the middle. Also closes surprisingly early on Sundays.
Arrived in a HGV at 10am to make a collection. Security staff would not answer the intercom or the out of hours buzzer to open the gate. Called the mobile number, went straight to answerphone. Drovd in the carpark area instead and set about my work. When someone from the park eventually wandered over to me he started telling me how to do my job, which was perfectly obvious I was already doing. I asked for the use of a bathroom which is guaranteed under human rights and was refused outright without an explanation.
Never a pleasure to try and get in and out of... However it has a few good shops all next door to each other which is handy. Shame it's so designed to maximize car use and hardly anywhere to park a bike. The pedestrian areas are so tight everyone is bumping into each other. It could be so much nicer if the car park was reduced and an outdoor market was created for local independent businesses... Sure I'm not the only one who finds the shops handy but can't wait to get in and leave ASAP!
As a major travel junction at Tottenham Hale, a local car park and shopping area it's a shame the lighting in the shopping area isn't better especially as the tarmac is dark and winter is grey. It's not welcoming and can pose a danger under foot. A few more trees and bushes might help too along the perimeters and throughout the car park and seasonal lighting?
Such a busy place and certainly not a secure place. Don’t be surprised to have your car hit and run by other vehicles since everyone is parked like sardines. It’s always packed and sometimes difficult to find a decent parking. Also, avoid leaving this place between 17:30 and 18:00 you will struggle to get out with your car due to traffic.
I had a really great experience picking up my bike with Costa. He was so kind and explained everything to me. He was gracious even when I said I could use the gears and then I had to come back because I could not. Hi Costa, if your reading this I tried to do the online feedback but could not because I had no transaction number.
This is an exceptional retail park, it has a bundle of different stores from O2 to TKMAXX and much more. The staff in the retail park are very friendly and the prices for items can get ridiculously cheap especially in Asda Living, a great bargain. Go out with your family or yourself and see what interests you personally.
Pros: numerous shops with different stuff, everything one might need at any point of time. Currys and Argos are really handy for self pick-up. Parking slot is present. If needed Cons: really to much low price and bad quality products almost in any of these shops. Maybe except Currys and Argos. Overall nothing special.
Arrived in the area on business and was please to find this shopping location. Very good that free parking is available a limited time. Depending on your time of arrival you may find that you have to hang around for a car space to come available. I was fortunate on the day. Good selection of shops in one location.
We went here for the EE store, which was a friendly helpfull place. They answered our questions. We couldnt do what we wanted, but gave us all the info we needed. While there, we also popped into wilko's, which is closing, as you know, had a good look round. Not much left, suitable for us, so we left empty handed.
Amazing . Have every store and everything You will need. Love the simplicity and the quality of the products and services that are offered in this area . They comes with a lot of different things in the stores and they also have a ton of different things for you and your friends and family. I’m happy to be there.
Big variety of all types of shops here starting from food stores finishing by computer stores, starting by building supply stores finishing by clothing stores, there's always plenty of parking here with a bike parking too, public transport is also a great way to get here, you'll always find something to buy here.
Great value. From arrival until departure it was a great experience. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and the bed was superb. Breakfast amazing value and tasty. Thanks everyone at Tottenham Hale for a great stay. You all really deserve praise and recognition for your hard work.
Fairly decent shopping place. A good number of large brand and lesser known stores with a few small food outlets. Household, DIY, clothing and food are all available. It only lacks some outdoor seating food outlet, but as its surrounded by busy noisy traffic it wouldn't make the most serene place to dine.
Visited Currys and the customer service was excellent. Visited Lidl, great choices on fresh/baked produce. Busy as always but it's nice to see that they now appreciate they need more than 2 open tills and a self- service aisle! Carpark packed - no surprise there with so many stores to choose from!
All the shops here are large, modern stores from good brands, and there's lots of them. There's also an abundance of parking, and loads of places to eat within and around the retail park. Transport links are also great whether you're travelling by public kr private transport.
Toilets were disgusting, couldn't even sit down if you needed too . Self service ordering, quick turnover but very chaotic, not enough seats, tables messy, bins full to the rim & food was expensive & cold ! Very disappointed & won't be going to this burger king again ! …
It's harder to drive to with the new road layout and can be very busy but there are quite a few decent shops here and would hate to see this space go - have a feeling harringay maybe eyeing it for redevelopment especially if crossrail 2 gets the green light.
Cool shops but no toilets around??? Retail parks should have public toilets. Walked around asking for toilets and got told Costa (huge queue cause it's basically the only toilet available) and Burger king (which wasn't available for costumers). Ridiculous.
Nice retail area to shop Lidl t k max Currys Poundland Asda Halfords Iceland (Argos & Wilko closed down) Given only 3 stars as there aren't w.c. in any shop need to get into restaurants for that imagine ordering food while desperate to use the lavatories
Spacious car park, lots of well known stores are present here and it's right next to Tottenham Hale bus, rail & Tube stations so easy for those using public transport to get to. There are also a few fast food outlets so what more could one ask for?
An interesting place on the map of London for shopping lovers. Here, for sure, everyone will find their product, moreover, quickly. The place is little explored, so there are no queues. In my guidebooks, this place will be chosen at the very top.
In this retail park you will be able to do your food grocery shopping as well as alittle shopping for yourself. They have stores such as Argos, Halfords, Burger king, Costa, Asda Home living, The food Warehouse (Iceland), Lidl, TkMaxx,
Great variety of shops. Do feel, however, that those in charge of the retail park should check outlets that provide dine-in and toilet facilities - they should insist that the facilities are checked more frequently. They are unsanitary.
Love Tottenham hale it's my local shopping area absolutely love it but sad about Vilko has gone and also Argos but still love it Love the new Starbucks open just opposite. Hopefully many more shops will be opening soon ❤️ …
Some shops there have customer service as optional, need to provide toilets as that alone stops family shoppers staying long. Costa staff there are extremely rude, id rather a coffie from burger king. At least there welcoming!
The shops are all ok the only downside is there are no public toilets facilities allocated for this retail park unless you go into Burger King which is not convenient most especially if u not going to eat there …
Whenever I am in Tottenham Hale and have time to spare I visit the retail park. I always find something unique to buy like a pen with three different colour ink and a pencil all in one. My son liked it and I bought him one.
Convenient to do shopping only downside is...no public toilet which when you do shopping you sometimes feel the need to refresh and other important thing to do as human for the sake of your health. …
Help friend buy a computer and printer in curry's in the retail park .car park can get very busy .But a pleasant experience with a wheel chair .staff very helpful in curry's. 10 out of 10 keep up the good work .
It's alright. Not everything supplied with everything you need. No proper food places all around, only Burger king and Subway with 2x prices. TK Maxx is stocked with not amazing things, but it's quite big.
Does what it says on the tin. Very busy and despite an enormous car park it can still be difficult finding a space at times. Would never dream of visiting on a Sunday when it seems to be very busy.
Wide range of retailers here,Food warehouse, Lidl, and Argos to name a few. Can get very busy especially on Fridays and Saturdays. Car Park free for upto 3 hours. Pleasant shopping experience.
The most useful shops for everyday shopping needs, it's practical, good prices and well-stocked shops. The negative point is there's no toilet anywhere. Big problem when going with children.
The parking spaces are too crammed. Someone will definitely open their car's door into your car. It will happen sooner or later as poeople are careless. If possible, visit at quieter times.
Very rude and poor customer service at this place, when you want to pay for your shopping, they talk to customers by barking orders,.. Not a good place to spend your hard earned money.
It's great if you need to head to different shops as they have a few there aswell as food. Can't speak about the car park as I don't drive but there's plenty of parking if required.
This place is a blessing seriously. I often go there to purchase grocery. Almost everyday. There are a lot of stores where you can find stuff you may need for your day to day life.
Great place for DIY & food clothes electricals all in 1 place parking isn't too bad either as it's free just really going to miss wilko but all in all great place to shop
I love shopping here. From CURRYs to Lidl, everything is here and what's more important is that I don't need to leave my neighbourhood to go to the West End or Westfield.
Its an idea multi retail stores shopping complex with easy access to first floor expecially for wheelchair as most stores have lift as well as a lot of parking space.
A very very seedy place, which feels unsafe and very busy, no toilets for the public apart from burger King and they were closed too. Good shops pity about the area
Lots different shops, there Halfords if you need to fix car or bike, there's clothing shops JD, Asda, Adidas, food supermarkets, Poundshop, Currys Argos, B&Q.
Nice retail area, it has grown since I was a child, changed so much and nice to see it busy with different shops and restaurants, shame that Argos is gone.
You can get almost every shop including ASDA home, TkMax, Iceland, Adidas, B&Q, poundland, burger king, Pret A Manger, O2, Lidl Boots, JD sports, Next, etc
You‘ve got B&Q here, Lidle, Wilko, Asda Living, B & Q, Boots, Burger King, Card Factory, Costa, Poundland and many other stores and fast food restaurants.
Its okay to find bits and pieces including clothes, food, and diy stuff. Not a major shopping place, but one where you could find your day to day stuff
It's a solid retail park. I love the TK MAXX. The food warehouse from Iceland and the New Adidas store is good. I do wish there were more food options.
Great place but a nightmare to park and there is only one toilet on site in costa, nightmare when your dragging around the kids but a great retail park
Loads of good shops, food, electrical and chemist. However so busy and not enough parking spaces for the amount of shops especially weekends
Got parking and a variety of shops you can't go wrong and can get school uniform for good prices from asda clothing range and cute stuff
Handy to get to. Just 2 minutes walk from Tottenham Hale tube plus lots of parking space if you want to drive. Good selection of shops.
An interesting assortment of stores, some with good discounts. Worth a visit if you are in the area, but not if you have to travel far
Great selection of shops, electrical goods, clothes, coffee, sports good, frozen food, diy. A good go to place for many different products.
Brilliant range of shops from argos to wilko and plenty more. Lots of parking space so there won't be a problem there …
Really enjoy the shops here. They have everything you need, from homestores, to food and clothing! Highly recommended
So many interesting shops in one spot Brilliant! At times, too many vehicules maneuvering can push anxiety level up.
Good retail park, I use the Asda home mostly which has just about everything but there’s a shop for most needs
Great variety of outlets but needs some improvements like adding more high street brands and public toilets.
Popped into Curry's had to replace my mobile fast charger very surprised with the price £14 very good …
No seats outside for elderly people and those with mobility problems can rest between shops. Disgraceful!
Parking bay very narrow and I personally I got nocks on the car body where people slam door car open
I like the fact that the parking is free for 3 hours which gives plenty of time to do your shopping
I was surprised to find that Argos had been moved from this site. Pretty much the same as always
Small but good. Should be better after refurb. Not the fanciest gym but for me, a good first gym
Good variety of shops and a car park to accommodate. You can park for up to three hours maximum.
Its got a variety of useful shops such as argos, wilko , lidl, B&Q ect good parking spaces
Typical soulless car centric retail park. Decent shop selection and very useful though.
Good selection of shops. Can be slow to get in and out of the car park at peak times.
Go here its really good for a shop but leave Sundays out as it becomes Hell on earth!
JDs was lovely, very helpful staff. The shop is super full.. exercise some patients
Whatever you’re looking for, you absolutely can find it here. Convenient and cheap.
Worse retail park in London. Not a single public toilets in around even any shops .
So many store if you want to buy tools, food, shoes... It's very convenient for Me
Very busy had to wait to find parking. The rest of the experience was satisfactory
Plenty of parking and lots of food shops as well as a couple of drive through a.
The best TKMaxx in London that I've been to. They have the best homeware items.
For all your shopping needs, also this place has plenty of parking space.
Great shopping area in north London. Fantastic shops and all in one area
