My wife and I just bought a new home and sold our current place with the services of Glenn Tomlinson, and by extension, Tracy Arnett Realty. Under normal circumstances, I am able to write a nice note describing how fantastic Glenn was and how pleased we are with the outcome, but to be honest, what Glenn achieved on our behalf goes way beyond anything I am able to describe, blowing past any reasonable expectations my wife and I could have hoped for. We consider ourselves so fortunate to have found Glenn when we did, coupled with the outstanding service he provided across the full spectrum of the buying and selling process; we could not ask for more, or a better outcome! When we closed the sale of our current place - in less than a day-on-market and well over-asking!!!, my wife and I were unable to contain our excitement, or even attempt to come down from the high we were on. I can say with sincerity, and I am not exaggerating, that thanks to Glenn, the day we closed the sale of our place was one of the happiest days of our lives! Again, I am not sugar-coating, or trying to be dramatic; this is our genuine sentiment, and we owe it all to Glenn. My wife and I have had previous, and very poor experiences with Real Estate professionals. To be honest, we began to question whether or not the value Agents bring to the table is worth the commissions we'd be on the hook for. Glenn, through his actions and exemplary knowledge of "the market", statistics, and just general understanding of the psychology of real-estate transactions, obliterated that sentiment! His professionalism, ability to understand our wants and needs, and patience, coupled with his ability to keep things on an even keel, instilled a sense of confidence in us throughout the buying and selling process, and the results speak for themselves! When we met Glenn back in January/February 2020, my wife and I were, from a position of reluctance, interviewing agents for what would be our third official try at selling our condo. That reluctance goes back to the previous and bad experiences we'd had with agents. I hadn't even considered Glenn, but we met by happenstance at a listing his brokerage was representing that I'd had an interested in. Glenn and I got to talking about my circumstances in regards to buying and selling, and without any prompts or inquiries from us, he kept us apprised of all developments within the market as they applied to our unique situation. All of the information that we were using in our deliberations around buying and selling was coming, unsolicited but appreciated, from Glenn. And the information he furnished us with was helpful, informative, and succinct enough that even we could understand it. So we decided that even though Glenn wasn't on our short-list, the rapport we were able to establish made it so that we wanted to give him a shot. I can now say, and again with the utmost sincerity, that our decision to work with Glenn was one of the best decisions we have ever made! This experience, buying and selling in the Covid-19 market, has been nothing short of phenomenal - Glenn has been just phenomenal - and my wife and I could not be happier. This is a follow-up review to the review posted 5 months ago (see first review further below). Since then, we had the privilege of using the services of Ghalia Bustami from Tracy Arnett Realty a second time, this time to purchase a property in May 2022 in Osgoode Village. Having recently sold our house in Barrhaven and renting another house (also in Barrhaven) we did not intend to purchase another home so soon, but this property in Osgoode caught our attention as it was a golden opportunity to move to the country (away from busy suburbia) and be much closer to family. Ghalia arranged a couple of viewings for us and guided us through the steps for making a careful decision on buying a century home, including building and well/septic inspections. Ghalia was very sympathetic to the difficulty in making a quick decision (there was a competing offer) and helped us navigate through pros/cons so that we could make the decision to buy. In the end she helped us negotiate a fair price for the house. During this buying process Ghalia efficiently booked appointments and was always punctual. She shows both respect and sincerity, along with a sense of humour. Despite her busy schedule, we never felt rushed with her as she gave us the time we needed. It has been a wild ride with making two moves within 6 months (move to Osgoode in August), but we are happy how it all turned out. We are very grateful for all of Ghalia's help through the whole process of selling, renting and then buying. Having already sold a house and being in a rental situation gave us more confidence to purchase another house. Original review: My wife and I recently listed our house for sale (in Nepean Ontario) with Ghalia Bustami from Tracy Arnett Realty. We were impressed with Ghalia’s professionalism and wealth of experience. We were given a comprehensive market analysis of similar houses in our neighbourhood to review before we made any decision to list our house. Heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Jonathan Hull of Tracy Arnett Realty who went above and beyond helping us find our next home. Basically thrown a curve ball every other day, Jonathan handled all the changes with grace, humour and diligence. My husband and I were at a stage in our lives where we had a few different options that we could pursue and each of those options came with a different location and different requirements in the home. We weren’t just looking in a couple of areas in Ottawa, we were contemplating different towns and cities as well. Jonathan put in a great deal of time, researching the various areas, setting up showings, discussing the pros and cons with us and then getting an email from me the next day with instructions to start a new search in a different location. During the negotiations Jon was firm but fair and we got the house for the price we wanted. And, it didn’t end there, Jon called us after closing to see how our move went and ended up ironing out some minor issues with the seller’s agent on our behalf. I think most people would agree that buying (or selling) a house is stressful. Jonathan took away a lot of that stress by staying in contact with us, answering our correspondence quickly and efficiently and coming to the meetings ready and prepared. Well, here we are in our new forever home in Saint John, New Brunswick. It took a while to get here and we know that none of this would have been possible without the incredible help and dedication of the folk at Tracy Arnett realty. "We first engaged Nina when we were thinking of purchasing a house in Ottawa. Our situation was more challenging than most because we were living abroad, which meant that for the most part, everything needed to be done remotely. Nina Krakowsky has been absolutely excellent and true to her word in our purchasing experience. As we high-jacked Nina with a place we wanted to see, and not to use the agent of the selling team, we barged in her office with a listing... I had only lived in the Ottawa area for a couple years when I was interested to speak to a realtor, so I wasn’t sure where to start. My Realtor was Patricia from Tracy Arnett’s Team. My sister had used her before and therefore after interviewing a couple other Realtors, I knew she was the right person to sell my house. Patricia came prepared and rather showing me things on the computer she arrived with a booklet of comparable sales including copies of the MLS listing and what the houses looked like. She priced my house right which was evident by the number of showings we had. Mrs. Tracy Arnett reached out following a negative review I left about services offered by her real estate agency, Tracy Arnett Realty Ltd. Initially, I thought the purpose of the call was to clear the air. It very quickly became apparent that it was to persuade me to remove my review. She tried to convince me that I was wrong instead of actually understanding what happened. When the truth didn't suit, she fabricated a story that was more convenient for her. She went as far as passing a subtle threat to have me remove the review. As I write this review, I am concerned about how far she could go in order to protect her fabricated 5 star review. She even went as far as publishing on Google my 70 years parents address. I would not do business with Tracy Arnett Realty Ltd. I would advise the public to steer clear from this brokerage firm. And do not believe the 5 star rating, it is fabricated and manipulated.
