First of all TREK makes one of the best bicycles and I just love mine. I needed some service to fix the squeaking noise that I got recently while pedaling. In addition, the rear derailleur needed some adjustments too. The store/shop is clean and technician was really nice and helpful. I had to leave my bike there and pick it up the next day. All is fine. The following day I picked up the bicycle, the squeaking sound is gone, the ride is very smooth, they did a great job with that. I give 3 stars however because the rear derailleur indexing is actually got worse and they scratched my bicycle at several places on the top tube. Wear and tear inevitably occurs down the road but I really don't expect that it happens at the manufacturer's shop. Update: There is no place to answer so I write my thoughts here to react their reply. 1. The tech said that since the bike is not that old and just lightly used he recommends Level 1 service. 2. They don't know what their service packages include. From their website: Level 1 Service Package includes (among other services): Align and adjust shifting. Level 2 includes everything from the Level 1 plus: Remove and deep clean all drivetrain components. Lateral and vertical wheel true. So, how would exactly paying $175 (originally, instead of $90 or now in addition to the $90) help to solve my problem? The align and adjust shifting is already part of the recommended Level 1 service package... Or did they mean that if I pay more then they will be careful not to scratch my bicycle? Down to 1 star.

I’ve been to this shop plenty of times in the past, but my most recent experience will make it the last time I step foot in here. Dropped a bike off on Saturday at 1pm, listed off a few things I wanted done and was told it would be done on Tuesday. I then get a call on Tuesday saying that my “left shifter is broken” and that they can’t release the bike to me until they replace it. I understand that there may have been issues but I believe that them tinkering with it made it worse and then tried claiming it was like that when it came in. So absolutely no work was done on my bike for 3 days and I picked up the bike in worse condition than when I left it. Complete waste of time, went to nyc velo and got the work done in less than 15 minutes for a fraction of the cost. It’s unfortunate as this is the shop I’ve supported for a while but it seems to me that they’re just looking to squeeze the most money out of their customers as if their services aren’t already expensive enough. $30 bar tape, $25 install fee is a bit absurd. The staff is cool, customer service is always on point but I’m just not satisfied with how they handled things.

Terrible service. I brought my bike for "tune-up" which included washing for "129.99" instead they wiped it out some parts of the bike with some dirty cloth. Initially they told me that bike will be ready in 3 days. But then suddenly they called me the next day saying that it was ready to go. I guess quick wiping doesn't take much time. They don't know the difference between "Washing" and "wiping". So be aware. Ask them whether washing includes water or other supplies not just dirty cloths wiping. They offered me a partial refund I believe they thought that this would solve all problems, but they didnt know that time is valuble for most and that they have wasted my time as well. Some people make half of, what u charge for that service, hourly...So partial or full refund does not help nor simply get you of the hook. I have filed a complaint with Trek consumer affairs. Your store kills their reputation, younshohld not be allowed to use their brand name.

I originally bought my bike from Echelon Cycles in the west village as I wanted to support a local bike shop but the customer service was far from ideal and had reservations about taking my bike back there to be serviced. I’d also heard good things about R&A in Brooklyn but they were far from helpful when I went to try and make a booking for a service and the guy on the phone was quite rude. That’s when I decided to give the Trek shop a go, given I live just down the street. Thought I’d be treated like a number but had the complete opposite experience. The guys were responsive, thorough and nice. Service was great, my original issue was resolved and the bike looks great. Will be coming back here for sure. Thanks guys.

I had an excellent experience when I popped into the Bowery location to upgrade my lighting system. Ian met me at the door and was so welcoming and immediately found common interests to chat about while recommending lights. I requested the brightest lights, to which Ian immediately reached, and then offered to install them. While they were being installed I had a great conversation at the front and when the lights were almost installed Ina took me back to meet Christian, who was installing them. Turns out Christian and I have a mutual friend and we had a nice little chat as well. Overall it was a really great experience and I highly recommend this place because of the people who work here.

I’m a Queens resident and needed a few stuff for my bike, since I saw this new store around my workplace, I was just curious to see the prices of the product I was looking for since in Manhattan prices increase in comparison to Queens, surprisingly the prices were fair, very similar to what I would get from Amazon or my local bike shop and customer service was amazing, I had a few mechanical questions and the three workers there were very knowledgeable and took their time to explain everything I needed to know. The store was very organize, they have everything in categories hybrids, roads, etc and the decoration is amazing too. I’ll definitely come back if I need something.

Amazingly helpful and kind staff. Brought my Trek road bike in for a flat tire and chain replacement. They serviced it promptly. I picked it up, and proceeded to get into an accident the same day. The shifters both appeared heavily damaged, and the handlebars were crooked. I dreaded the cost of repairs. Brought it back in and left it with the staff. They proceeded to fix it up free of charge (!!!) and thoroughly cleaned and inspected the bike to ensure there was no other damage. Thank you team! Really grateful!

I purchased my trek from the stuy town location with Edward, who is awesome. He went out of his way to get me the bike I wanted even though out wasn’t in stock. I went to Trek Bowery to fix a flat while I waited. Stellar job! Christian gave me great advise and some recommendations for my upcoming trip and didn’t nickel and dime me. The whole staff was super friendly and accommodating. The staff really shows their appreciation for their customers and made me feel comfortable and well contended.

The best Trek store in town..very informative, professional and amazing team dynamic..they care about their customers and spend enough time to educate them about the products. Highly recommend them.. I worked with Ian an expert and amazing person to pick your bike with, Rafi the store manager was super helpful with recommendations and billing he even picked up an over charged amount that I missed and refunded it. Christian is very knowledgeable about the bike parts..Great team

Ray, Christian, and Alex are great! Alex was friendly over the phone and Ray and Christian both took the time to teach me about how to maintain my bike and gave me great advice and speedy help when I was having issues with properly adjusting my Trek Emonda and when I had to replace the rear derailleur hanger after a crash. They really made me feel like a part of the Trek Bowery family and I know I’ll always be well taken care of anytime I come in!

As a novice bike rider I had a great experience. I bought my first bike with Ash and he answered all my questions and made sure I was set up with all the essentials to ride safely in the city. I got the sense this shop was very community driven and customer focused. I saw a couple people come in to get their bikes serviced while I was there too and they the store team was super knowledgeable about the issues they were having.

Great in store experience, customer service was exceptional, the staff was very helpful even though this location didn’t have what we wanted, the sales representative was kind enough to tell us which location to check and when we got there they were closed but the guy made the effort to come to the said location just to be able to help us. I would definitely recommend and give them 10 stars if I could.

I reserved a 520 Grando online and came in the same day to pick it up. Everyone was super nice. (maybe a little too nice, honestly was a little overwhelmed by the amount of greetings when I walked in) They answered all my annoying questions and went out of their way to fix a small issue. They all seemed like bike nerds, as it should be. Great shop, will likely return despite living in Jersey.

I have visited this shop for many times and all staffs are extremely helpful and friendly. Though I didn't purchase my bike at this location, I was still given superb service to check up and restore a frame cosmetic damage. Shoutout to Ash? for making my bike looking brand new again, as well as identified shifting issues on the front derailleur. So guys, get your next bike here!!!

I love this place. Two months into cycling. I recently damaged my FX Disc 2 rear wheel badly....They did a great job replacing my wheel and tightening up any loose items on my bike...No complaints from me. I even brought my bike from here and each staff member that I've spoken to has been very helpful and friendly...This is my go to bike shop!!!

Ian from Trek Bowery is the go to at Trek Bowery. Long story short came in saw a 54 Madone and Ian talked me out of buying it and advised to wait for a proper fit 52. Anyone else would’ve just sold a bike to get it out the door. 3 months later very happy customer ! Look for Ian !

the service is responsive, professional and perfect. The mechanic's attention to details is very impressive. Also give me very good suggestions on how to save a flat tire on the road. It took less than 10 minitues to fix the problem and I got a good ride afterwards. Save my day.

The service is awesome, the staff is incredibly friendly, and my bike is the best investment I have ever done. Even though I used to live near this location and I am now in the Upper East Side, I will always prefer to come all the way down to this location to have my bike fixed.
