I went to David’s World for a commuter bike. The salesman didn’t seem to know what a commuter was, and didn’t really have any helpful information. He offered me their Dual sport which was supposed to be able to take on and off road terrain. After I blew the front tire from riding on sidewalks (I think the tire was not seated properly and the tube got pinched) after a day of riding it, my attention was drawn to how cheap the tires/tubes were and that they were merely road bike tires/tube. Returned it and went for the X-Caliber MTB ($1300+-). Gears were messed up due to poor assembly and some part quality issues. Took it back several times for this issue and the bike gears came back in worse condition than previous. Just dealt with the grinding and off transitions and misses. Front wheel started dragging on something. Reported to the technician along with gears on one of many trips to the shop. The technician said it was fixed once again, but come to find out it wasn’t. Just dealt with it. Note this is supposed to be a brand new bicycle at this point. Another service issue was when I had to replace my back tire rim due to a car accident . I still blindly trusted David’s World and had them do the work. The technician did not seat the tire in the rim and any noob to bicycles could tell the wheel was wobbly and the tire was very off. The tech I spoke to over the phone to let me know they were working on it seemed unsure of what he was doing in regards to the entire job. Suspicions verified after receiving the really messed up wheel. In the end I took my bike to another store and they fixed everything and my bike is working better than when I bought it. The bikes are not the best at David’s World but they could up the value to match the price by having better techs and salespeople. That would set them apart from Walmart and other stores and that is what I expected by paying 2x as much for a bicycle and going to a speciality store. Not saying not to go there. You may by luck like at Walmart get a bicycle put together properly and have a sales person who knows bicycles...well...It’s up to you. Just be diligent and persistent that everything be perfect before leaving the store.
This past Saturday, I found my dream mountain bike, a beautiful orange and red Marlin 7 2021 in the Orlando David’s World Cycle. Nobody else had it in stock. I drove almost 4 hours round trip to get it and when I did the test ride there was an abnormal sound in the front disk brake. Main mechanic wasn’t available but the sales person assured me that the Tampa store would take care of the issue. With a little bit of reluctance and slight remorse I drove back home with my new almost $1k bike. Today at 2pm sales person Collin called me from Tampa store to asked me about the issue and assured me his top mechanic would look at bike. I went after work and found out an outstanding customer service in every single person I met. Collin, Gina and the mechanics. After a thorough inspection they found out there was a problem with a small part in the break system that wasn’t right. Without any complication I was given another brand new bike in 100% shape. My customer expectations were exceeded and I ended up buying a brand new helmet and a Marlin 5 bike for my daughter. I recommend David’s World Cycle, specially the South Tampa store to any bicycle fan in Tampa Bay.
I bought 2 bicycles for this store. -I took one the bikes to have one of the spokes replaced. The staff technician said that is was not cover under the warranty. “Everything else” was under warranty. -the same day I took the other bike because for not reason the rear derailleur broke. The technician asked if had an accident but I didn’t. He said again, the part was not cover under warranty. I asked how much would it cost to replace the parts and decided to wait and find another place because the total priced was too much. Decided to take both bikes to another shop and the technician told me that Trek technician assembled the bicycles incorrectly. This is why I had so many issues with the bikes. I asked the other shop to fix and check both bikes to make sure nothing everything else were properly installed. Of course he found other mistakes. The total priced to fix both bicycles was only one third of the price I would it ended up paying at trek. I glad I went to another place to fix my bikes. Better service, capable staff and very reasonable prices. I would not recommend this store to anyone. Overprice service, and not customer oriented place.
Recently purchased my first road bike online. I was considering putting it together myself, but realized I should just let a pro do it. I live in a higher end part of town and knew this bike shop was in the very high end part of town. Was told that putting it together was $85+tax but knew it was a small business and figured face to face they may be able to work something out. I spent $240 on the bike and really wanted to stay under $300 on my first bike. I explained that to the gentleman that greeted me, he actually grinned and said "oh no way, do you know how difficult it is to put together a bike"... I said look I understand but it could not take you more than 2 hours, could you do $60. He told me I could go ahead and try it myself but I would probably end up back anyway... Found another bike shop 20 minutes away, explained the exact same thing was told "yea of course, just bring it in we will see what we can do"... This place has a huge selection of bikes (all incredibly high end), if you have money I see no reason they would not get you set up.
When buying a new bike "your not supposed " to buy a new bike from the Box stores - since they might not be assembled properly. We bought two new high dollar bikes from the this location expecting service, trust and quality. Service was there for sure, but not the quality. One Bike had adjustment issues - the seat would not stay stationary and other minor issues with things being loose and not adjusted. The other bike had BREAK ISSUES - they were not set correctly and other minor issues with things not being adjusted. This you world expect from a box store assembly, but not from a BIKE SHOP who only specializes in Bikes, not to mention the $$$ you spend on brand news bikes. This is our second pair of Treks and they were put together flawlessly but from another Trek Dealer in Nevada. Our fist bikes came from Target and those also came without any issues.. So, we were surprised both NEW BIKES assembled from this location both came out with assembly issues. The service was great buying the bikes, but the assembly was not very good.
I had the very best experience since the minute I stepped into the store. I’ll start by saying that I was “that person” that walked into the store 5 minutes basically asking for the world. I am going for a bike ride tomorrow morning and haven’t been on my bike in 5 years so I went to gather all of my stuff only to realize that my shoes were falling apart and my bike computer was broken. I walked in and was greeted immediately and helped. Between Erik and Andre, they helped get me a new computer, a helmet, and new shoes. I was prepared to leave and install my current clips onto my new shoes but as I walked out they noticed that I was carrying my old shoes with the clips and offered to swap my clips out for me. (Note- at this point the store was closed and everyone had left with the exception and Erik and Andre). I’ve never had a better experience and I plan to only go to this store for all of my future needs including my bike tune tomorrow!! I highly recommend this store, their experience, and their kindness!
My son and his girlfriend are coming to town in a week and they mentioned that they might want to use our bikes for the Riverwalk, but the bikes both needed more than a "tune up" to get them working correctly. I went to David's World Cycle on MacDill in South Tampa, and they said they were booked up for tune-ups for a month! Wow! But nonetheless, Chandler said "let me take a quick look at them" and did the tune up on the spot on both bikes! Then when I was rung up by a different employee, they only charged me for the parts. I asked them to make sure that they were not going to charge me for the labor, especially since they worked me in right on the spot, and they confirmed no charge. This level of customer service did not seem unusual to any of the employees at all. It just seems like superior customer service runs deep in this company! I might add they were very busy at the time on a Saturday of Easter weekend, and still managed to go out of their way to bless me and my family in this way. Well done!!!
Ron and (I can't remember the other staff member's name that was working the front) were amazing in helping me find the right bike. I had an old MountainTrek that I had brought in for repairs and was half looking at bike that fit me more. They instantly talked with me, learned more about what I liked and my goals, and let me test multiple bikes around the block. I ended up getting a Trek Verve 2. One of the associates even took the time to show me how to load my bike into my car and remove and put on the front wheel. The patience and friendliness of the staff was amazing and I will definitely recommend David's to everyone. I'm beyond happy with my bike and have already ridden over 20 miles in the past few days. I'm extremely glad I stopped in to talk to them and found my bike. Also I just want to say that the few time previously that I've gotten my old bike repaired, the staff has been very accommodating and efficient. All around great bike place, you all definitely have my business!
Had my suspension fork changed to a rigid one. Looking at my bike I'm happy about how clean the installation looked. My 820 mtb rides better on pavement now, and a tad faster too. Should'a done my research and gotten an FX before, which is cheaper and more pavement friendly. I want to keep my ride though, which I've been riding for 4 years, and just basically maintain it and upgrade it if needed. Anyways, something about mountain bikes just makes me like them. I'd pick a light mtb like hybrid if it's time to add another bike or just upgrade. As for the store, just like my local Clearwater DWC, it's clean, organized, big, nice atmosphere, and parts are there when you need them. Place is a kinda quick drive from USF. Mechanics there know what stuff you need and you'll get the proper special items online(like my new fork) that you'll need. It's a very good local bike shop, and you'd be glad you bought a Trek as soon as you leave with your bike.
Loved that I was able to order a Trek Dual Sport 2 bike online like the one I have up north in Windsor, Ontario. Due to shortages and shipping delays I was incredibly happy that David's World Cycle had such a nice selection of bikes and inventory on so many items in store. The two-hour drive to pick it up was well worth it! I also picked up a good wavecel helmet that was not even available to me up north. Colin was very helpful in the store when I went to pick it up, and Luke was so nice when he called me the night before my given available date to tell me my bike was ready. It took only five days after I ordered it for it to be ready for pick up! And a follow-up email arrived from Luke the day after I picked up my bike to thank me for my purchase and let me know they will always be there for support. Thanks David's World Cycle for your friendly, professional, and efficient help to keep me biking while in Florida as a snowbird!
I was treated pretty poorly the last few times I came in the shop. It might be because I ride a lower end trek and do most of the work myself, and use Dave's for parts, wheels, tubes, etc. I have bought the full bike tune-up in the past which costed more than my 15 year old entry level trek hybrid was worth. 270$ plus cables and chain was out the door for 330$. Since then I have put serious miles on the bike and have learned to take care of it myself. When I do come into Dave's to pick up a wheel or a tube they treat me like I am an inconvenience to them. As I have gotten more fit I have been shopping for a entry level road bike in the 2k range and I am too put off by how they treat the local small purchase customers (me)to consider them. They still get 3 stars because they do sell what they say they do, it is just the poor attitudes.
I came in with my bike and waited at bike service area for about 5 minutes without any acknowledgement as 2 guys 10 feet away were working on a bike. I asked whether I should go to other desk and he just says ya. I go to front desk and approach as a rep is with another guy talking who was on the same side of register so I'm not sure whether he was customer or not. Waited several minutes and no one said a word. I dont need a red carpet but a simple acknowledgement or be right with you at a store with very few customers in it goes a long way and I couldn't get that from any staff member. I left and went to another place I found online called outspokin bicycle. Completely different experience at a far busier store. Great friendly and quick service at cheaper prices. I understand why David's wasnt busy and outspokin was.
I went into David's Cycle Tampa today and went to the service department to follow up on a previously discussed service request. I had gone in the week before for service on something else. When I came in today I was told that that they would not help me today even though I was told last week (in person) they could help me with a separate service request. The person I spoke was not there today. A guy with dark hair and a beard told me he spoke with me on the phone and claimed he was the one I spoke with even though I never called and have never seen him before. He basically called me a liar in front of other customers. This was a truly horrible experience and I will never be back. The service department needs to know what services the do or do not offer customers and act like professionals.
I give 3 stars, because the selection, and prices. But not 5, because of the staff. I've been here twice and the front of store staff were nice, but seemed to have very little knowledge of bike parts on the very bikes they sell, and kept referring me to the mechanic. The mechanic I spoke with had a very condescending tone towards me the whole time, and didn't want to listen to what I was telling him because 'he's a mechanic, I'm not' mentality. I asked for a KMC missing link for my chain (the one you put together by hand, you can google it). Not only was I told a 7 speed doesn't exist??? After I got home, I looked and all he gave me was a normal link. Not worth me going out of my way to return it. I'll just stick with their Carrollwood store. Much better service there.
I bought my Trek mountain bike from David's World Cycle and I'm very happy with my purchase. The staff are very attentive and knowledgeable, and I never hesitate to reach out to them with an obscure question or request. They are eager to help and teach me everything I need to know about my new bike. They have also serviced my bike I the past. In fact, I just went in and showed them a tiny insignificant piece from my rear shock that broke off and they spent time discussing options for replacing it and doing some quick searches on the internet. So, I ended up buying a pump from them which I needed, and had put off purchasing. I'm fortunate to have a local bike shop that is so good to me and my family. I highly recommend them!
We were looking for a new bike for my daughter's 13th birthday, and after shopping all over town, we could not find one that truly fit the bill. When we went to DWC, one of the associates told us about the Electra custom design program. My daughter loved being able to customize her bike, and she ended up with one that was exactly what she had in mind. I am sure you are thinking that must mean the bike was hugely expensive, but in fact the custom cruiser that she designed was a few hundred dollars LESS than other standard cruisers. We had an excellent buying experience at David's World Cycle, and I would heartily recommend them to anyone who is in the market for a new bike.
I called David's World Cycle and spoke with Ron and asked him about the Damone AL3 bike which he confirmed they had in stock and that he would hold it for me. I came the very next day and was greeted by Ron who gave me the Carte Blanche treatment and answered all my questions about purchasing a Road bike. I own 3 other Treks and love their quality and design's. Ron also suggested other Items I may want to purchase for my bike but did not high pressure me. Ron installed the additional items and I was very please and excited. I will come back and purchase more items from this Bike Shop. I strongly recommend anyone's first or next purchase from this Cycle Shop.
My wife bought her first mountain bike at the Tampa Trek store. She tested 4 or 5 different bikes for close to two hours. George was helping us that day and he never seemed to mind that the test rides were taking so long. They don’t try to push a product on you and get you out the door at this shop. While my wife tested out the bikes, George and I discussed local places to ride. You can tell the salesmen are riders themselves and have considerable knowledge about the sport and their products. The testing and buying process is very laid back and enjoyable. We will definitely come back to the Tampa Trek store for all our biking needs.
Brought bike in for simple rear tire flat. Was told it would take FIVE days for them to fix. While I understand that they are busy with orders, as my only mode of transportation, five days is simply unacceptable for such a minor issue. I hung up the phone exasperated and determined not to use Trek Tampa again. Then, to my very pleasant surprise, ten minutes later the technician, Brian, called me back to say he had fixed the tire. Brian said once I told him I only have my bike for transportation, he worked overtime to get it done same day. This review went from 1 star to 5! Great customer service! Thanks!
i’m not the type of guy who writes good reviews. i write bad reviews only, because i treat all as i’d wanna be which is GREAT but these dudes need shoutout first of all if you need anything fixed up on some wheels this is the place to be second- everything follow covid safety lastly- JAY AND AJ.... they are saints. ask for them and i promise you will be up and on the road in literally no time. they are real good dudes i can’t say i’ve ever had a better experience at a shop in my life seriously thank you guys for getting me up and on the road in such a short notice
This store is amazing! I live over an hour from the store so I called to get information on bike availability, sizing and pricing before driving up there. Every staff person I got on the phone was extremely knowledgable and helpful! I spoke with other David's World Cycle stores and they were just as good! This store was able to get the bike I wanted the fastest so I took the drive up to Tampa. The person helping me on site was so professional and really knew his stuff. What a great family-owned business! Great people, great store, customer-service oriented!
It's evident that this establishment has a team of folks who're passionate about the joy of getting on a bike! As a first-timer, I felt welcomed rather than intimidated. Staff were transparent and kind helping me make selections and answering questions. They helped me wrangle the cruiser I got into my vehicle and warned me about avoiding storage that could damage the mechanism that shifts the gears, too. Definitely saved me from banging it up on accident the same day like a neanderthal. I look forward to returning soon for some more equipment!
We have gone to multiple David's World Cycle shops and at every shop the staff is extremely informative and attentive. We were asked several times by different employees if we needed help. They went above and beyond in this crazy COVID market to ensure I found a bike (an XS) that would work for my small self by checking the inventory of another David's World. My husband was able to ride the bike he was interested in and they even cut the tube on the seat to make sure it was to his liking before we purchased it. Very happen with our experience!
I went to Ryder Bike on a recommendation to check out electric bikes. Jeff came right over and asked if he could help. I told him I was interested in an electric bike but knew little about them. Jeff gave me a great informative break down and showed me the different bikes. I was able to test drive one and made a purchase. What a great experience! I absolutely love my new bike and highly recommend Ryder Bike. The service and staff are superb! Thank you Jeff and Ryder Bike! They also carry essential items for bikes as well as service,
Got really great service. It's been so long since I've spent a lot of time working on my own bikes, that I need to lean on professionals to get safe work done. These folks performed quality work. I was able to work out some issues with the site manager with a simple phone call. Everyone was very polite and professional with me, and the management graciously accepted some thorough commentary on an issue I ran into. All is good. Thank you very much David's World Cycle. I will be back. I recommend this shop on the bike-mechanics alone.
Edit: I'm a firm believer that when something goes wrong, it's a chance to make it right. I've been meaning to call about bringing my bike back, but life keeps getting in the way and by the time I remember, it's too late. Well, Colin gave be a ring today to setup service to fix my issue and I really appreciate it. Will bring my bike back in for a fix and see how that goes. Took my bike for a tune up. $250 later, it rides worse than when I brought it in. Tried calling but after hours and they don't have a VM. I'll try again Monday
Great experience! I went it to buy my son a new bike on a Sunday a few weeks ago. Michael met us in the store and showed my son a new bike that he put together that day. My son loved it immediately and couldn’t wait to take it home. Michael installed the finishing touches with the bottle holder and water bottle to complete the look in minutes. We took it home and went straight to the Coleman track where my son rode it for almost an hour. Thank you Michael for a great experience at David’s World Cycle!! David Castellano
Great experience both times. First time I was looking for a used bike. Found one and Robert went over it in detail, tuning up or replacing parts as he went. Reasonable price for a used bike in really great shape- after Robert reworked it. Second time was when i tried to fix another bike,s front bearings. Turned out i did not have the right cone wrench to put it back together. I called the shop and was told to bring it in. 30 min later i had a front wheel that was fully greased and adjusted. Really nice group.
Very nice store. Would have given a 5 but no place to park bike and hold the door, manage the steps, not try to ding your bike while still no place inside to leave your bike while you shop. Leaned it up against stuff. It's still a good store. Need more touring gear. Not everyone is a weight weennie. 3 years later. Still no bike parking. I leave my bike in the maintenance area. Still, I can't figure out why a bike shop doesn't understand the value of safe and secure bicycle parking. ♂️. Call me crazy.
I went to David’s World cycle for the first time last week. I’ve been on the lookout for a good entry level bike for a while now, and I’m just one trip The staff was able to give me all the knowledge I needed to confidently buy a gray bike. The staff member that was helping me was actually in on his day off and took more than enough time to explain everything to me, which was extremely helpful. Will be a repeat customer, and recommend this store as the first stop when looking to get into riding.
Some of the reviews on here seriously dont make sense. I been coming to this store for years and never one bad bad experience. They will go above and beyond for u. These bikes arent cheap so expect to pay hefty price for great quality bikes. And expect to wait longer then usual cause of this pandemic they have to be cautious. Have patience and you will get served well here believe me. Thanks to south tampa david world cylce for always going above and beyond.
I have been looking to get a bike for exercise and light city riding. Went in with no expectations and all the staff were very friendly and helpful in guiding my purchase decision. I didn't feel pressured at all to buy and it was a very welcoming environment. They answered all of my questions and were extremely helpful. They hooked me up with everything I needed to get on the road and I couldn't be happier. Will definitely be back for any future biking needs!
I've been cycling for about 6 years and I've been to numerous shops, and then I went to Daves on MacDill. Wow!! They treated me with so much respect and when it was time to fit me for the bicycle I purchased, well that service was exceptional! The entire staff needs to be recognized for the exceptional service they provide. I rode my bike for the first time the following day and I am simply blown away by how tailored the fit is. Thank you all so much.
David's World Cycle was following social distancing guidelines and only allowed a few customers at a time in to their store. They went above and beyond. They stayed open past their closing time at 6:00 pm to accommodate all of us who were standing in line outside of the store, about dozen people. Once we entered the store Colin was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and gave us his full undivided time and wasn't trying to rush us out the door.
New to biking, I bought a used Trek at a garage sale a few weeks ago and needed a new seat. I stopped in this evening, Paul greeted and helped me, he was awesome! Not only did he assist me with picking out a seat that fit, he went through my bike quickly and did a “wellness check“ and put the seat on for me. He didn’t have to do all that, I’m very appreciative and will definitely be back to purchase a new bike in a few months.
I had an amazing experience! I was in town for a few days and didn't want to lose any time on the saddle. I rented a road bike for 24 hrs, arrived to a prepped trek carbon fiber bike, knowledgeable techs ready to fit the pedals I needed and set my saddle height. They sent me off with a nice helmet, tools, CO2, a spare tube and a smile. I got a few solid hours of riding in which was great. Return was a snap too. Thanks!
I couldn’t decide between a Specialized and a Trek. They are both great bikes. After visiting David’s World Cycle on MacDill yesterday and meeting Colin it became easier. He was so consultative. I visited a few retailers while searching for my new bike and this experience far exceeded my expectations. The pricing is fair and the selection was great. Clean store, friendly staff; I felt like a VIP. Thanks, Colin!
We decided to come the Tampa location because the Lakeland location really did us dirty on our bikes that we had serviced. The employees were nice and willing to help you. They fixed all the issues the lakeland location was supposed to fix on top of other issues. Save yourself the headache and go to the Tampa location. You wont be disappointed. Great service department along with great customer service.
Amazing staff, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I brought my complete vintage Trek road bicycle build here to be assembled and am so excited to finally be able to ride it within the next few weeks. Also brought my girlfriend's Cannondale in for tires, brake cables, tune-up and regular maintenance. If you're looking for a professional shop to care for your bike, this is the place!
I went to David's World Cycle to buy a Trek but arrived to find the bike I had come to buy had sold earlier that day. The staff went thorough all of the bike boxes they had and found the bike I was looking for. They were super busy but took the time to quickly assemble my bike for me so I did not have to come back to get it. The staff was super helpful and definitely earned my future business.
I have needed to take two of my bikes at different times for tire and a brake fix. The staff at Dave's was very courteous and listened to this novice try and explain what this issues were. They knew right away what the issue was and was able to fix one tire on the spot. I have never purchased a bike from them, but I would imagine their service is very similar on the sales side of things.
Purchased a new Madone SLR6 from the South Tampa store and couldn't be happier with the sales and service at this store. Everyone is super nice and helpful. As with any new high performance machine my bike needed a few adjustments to make it perfect. Jacob was especially helpful and patient and did a phenomenal job making it better than new. Thanks Jacob for making my ride a joy!
I have been doing business with David's World for 12 years. I have bought several bikes from them and many accessories and parts. And, of course, I always have service performed on my bikes at one of their shops. They treat me fairly and they get the work done as efficiently as possible. In other words, they value me as a customer and they show it every time I walk in the door.
I tried to find this particular bike for months. I was in RI at the time planning a permanent move to FL in January. In early November I decided to try buying the bike in FL. Dave's was the first place I called and they had the exact bike. I bought the bike and they held until last week when I picked it up. Great people, knowledgeable, friendly and responsive. Happy ending!
I had to wait a few minutes outside because of social distancing. Then I worked with Chris and did a test run on a used bike. Decided to purchase a new bike, Chris worked to find a color I liked and even delivered it for me because I am a senior and my husband wasn't up to helping me get it home. This was far beyond his duties and was the deciding factor in my purchase.
I've never been to David's World Cycle before yesterday when a mechanical early in my ride brought me to the nearest bike shop. Their service department took a look, corrected my front derailleur, as a courtesy, and sent me back out to get some miles in. I really appreciate the support and I will definitely look to become a regular due to customer service like that!
Matthew saved the day with my son's bike. Just bought a wahoo 24 for my son and the tire blew. Matt took care of the tire quickly and professionally. He's an avid rider himself and very knowledgeable. I have the highest expectations for Matthew to move up the chain with Trek, if not they will be losing a valuable asset in leadership and appearance. Thanks Matt!
I am a short girl so I am aware there aren't a lot of choices for me when it comes to bikes, David's had one in a box that they built for me to try out. It was a wonderful experience, everyone was nice and helpful and I bought the bike. The only reason I didnt give them a 5 is I wish I would have had more options, but like I said....I am a 5 footer :)
The service I received was very fast, and delivered with genuine friendliness and a desire to help. The team went above and beyond to assist me with not only my immediate bike needs, but with some other equipment that I wasn't able to figure out on my own. I experienced the kind of service that you can only get from people who truly enjoy their jobs.
Went in to try on a pair of Bontrager Espresso shoes and received excellent service from both AJ and Colin. Both were very knowledgeable and skillfully guided me through the decision-making and fitting process. Shoes fit great and look terrific in Hi-viz yellow. Plus, they were less expensive in the store than anywhere on the internet. So, Thank you!
I have had nothing but good experiences with these guys. They are patient, knowledgeable, helpful, and they are very willing to work with you to create a bike that will meet your needs. I didn't feel like they were squeezing me for the upsell and they took a great deal of time working with me. Kevin, the regional manager, was available at all hours.
We were very pleased with our experience! We purchased four bikes total (2 adult Trek, 1 child Trek, and 1 used child Electra). Very knowledgeable about all bikes with many options to consider. All four bikes were ready with all accessories installed in just a few hours (despite it being a busy Saturday). Great experience overall!
I bought my four year-old son a bike and wasn't sure I had assembled it correctly. I brought it in and Jay Turner was the first to greet me and make me feel welcome in the store. He worked on the bike, tweaking various things, until it was in good shape - and he was kind enough not to charge me! I definitely recommend dropping in.
I had Davis bike shop install continental tubeless 5000 on some campy sirroccos. Very poor quality work-amateur. The rear wheel Faled the flailed the first time they gladly “fixed it”. Now the rear tire does not hold air(again) and it a clearly appears they re-used the SAME faulty valve. Do not go here for tubeless setups.
I rented a Trek Emonda from David’s World Cycle and I had a great experience. The employees were all professional and polite to me. The bike was ready when I arrived. The bike shifted well, the brakes worked well, and I had no tire flats, all of which indicate the bike was well maintained. I recommend this shop to anyone.
My main contact was Gina, the best in every way, knowledge, followup, advising us. Andrew, David & Chandler, and others have also been involved. Great teamwork, very customer service oriented, everyone great! Just a great place because you have some great people. I will be buying my 2nd bike from Gina very soon.
Best store in town. Great staff and inventory selection. Staff is very knowledgeable, great place for service. Ive serviced several treks through them. Recently serviced a higher end tri bike and Chandler from the store explained several technical aspects of the bike and educated me on my ride. Very helpful!
Excellent service. Friendly staff. Ron and Colin, and my Trek Speed Concept helped me win the U.S. Masters Time Trial Championship for my age group, and place 3d at the World Championships. Couldn't have done it without the support of Dave's World Cycle. If I have an issue with my bike, this is where I go.
I brought my bike in cuz the front brake wasn't working right. Heath fixed it immediately, then sent me on my way, which thankfully allowed me to ride the Causeway Trail tonight, since I didn't have to leave my bike there. I had a great ride with properly functioning brakes. Thank you very much. -Evan
Every time I visit Trek I leave wanting to buy a new bike. I believe it is because the staff are friendly and willing to explicitly the details. I went on their monthly group ride and began looking at the Edmonda the next day. Maybe I’m an addict to bikes and this store feeds that addiction ☺️
Super friendly staff who didn't make me feel like a novice. I had the wrong size cleats on my shoes and they guided me to what I needed right away. Great selection of bikes and accessories and they are happy to help fit and set anything you need from your bike to the the cleats on your shoes.
Went in Friday afternoon no one acknowledged us was looking for help. We walked in the door not a single hello barely any bikes available and the service was non existent it was as if no one worked there. Went to another bike shop and the helped me and actually provided service.
Used to go to Performance, but they recently closed. Brought my 30yr old bike in to David’s for service, discussed upgrading, but decided to repair for now. Very friendly staff, no sales pressure, and got my old bike going for a very reasonable price. Will be back for sure.
Super friendly place! I was in the process of moving to Arizona and needed my Bike packaged and ready to go for shipment. Despite my lack of planning David’s World Cycle came through and totally helped me out!! That extra touch of customer service already sets them apart.
Friendly and knowledgeable, went in to check out tires and tubes for a 28 year old Trek, as well as new gear shifters and got everything I needed to know in just a couple minutes. Store was clean, spread out, and all employees had masks on and we're wearing them properly.
We went to a few bike shops looking around including 2 David's World Cycle. The employees at both David's World Cycle were above and beyond helpful, making sure everyone was helped or at least spoken to if everyone was busy. They helped us find everything we needed.
Great staff and selection! AJ was very patient and worked with us to find the right bike/fit. If your unhappy with your bike you can swap it out in the first 30 days. You are guaranteed to find the right bike for you. Give them a try. Thanks again AJ and team!

Wasn’t sure if I would be able to find a new favorite bike shop after Flying Fish closed their doors, but the staff at Trek has made this my go-to shop. They are extremely knowledgeable and won’t charge you more than what the repairs are worth.

I broke another rear spoke on my 6500 (4th one in 6 months) and asked Trek of Tampa to replace the entire rear rim so I would not have to keep coming back. Its a few years old and is not a product of bad manufacturing or abuse. While they
Six stars for this crew. I write at length, read what you like. It's the same old story: The folks that sell you what you need and help you sort out what you NEED as opposed to what you think you WANT, rather than what they might like to
Had a great experience buying a bicycle online. They called me as soon as it was available, were helpful with my questions and prompt to help. I went back later for biking accessories and had the same experience, glad I found this store.
The sales associate was asked precise questions to find the right bicycle for me and the service department installed the accessories in very little time. I was able to get the right bike for me in very little time with no hassle.
Did a quick bike rental while in town for work. The staff was super friendly and had me in and out super quick. Was a bit nervous because my flight was late and was getting close to bumping up against closing time, but no worries!
I’ve shopped and had repairs done here multiple times. Staff is all super nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. They’re very upfront when it comes to repairs and pricing and do a great job. I’ve never had a single negative experience.
Great customer service and very knowleagable staff. This was the 3rd store that I have visited looking for a bicycle and by far the best experience. Their salesman and maintenance people are amazing and very eager go help.

The shop staff were great. They did a great job, were courteous, and provided a very welcoming environment. I am very pleased to have purchased my bike at this location and will continue doing maintenance there as well.
Matthew was speedy with our fix, even though they were busy and are working with other bikes. He was cordial, kind and we appreciated everything. Trek bikes repair service is the bomb!!!! Darrell & Jen from Hawaii.
Best bike shop in town. I have 3 bikes from them. Great service, and their knowledge and enthusiasm for cycling seems endless. If you see a line to get in right now, it's worth the wait. You won't be dissapointed!
Great bike shop - professional and friendly staff. I was having some intermitent noises with the bike; they test rode the bike and made some adjustments to the pedals and front delrailer. Highly recommned them.
Trek always has the best customer service and this location delivered! Amazing staff, super helpful with getting us bike rentals and where to ride. Chandler was especially helpful and nice. A+ would recommend
Lee was super friendly and helpful. The part I needed wasn’t in stock, but Lee was quick to help me find another reputable shop close by that could help me. I would definitely come back here in the future.
