This was my first visit to this new eatery in the shadow of the downtown Washington corridor. The restaurant faces Houston Ave and is easy to spot at the foot of the underpass just behind the Firestone tire store. Such an unexpected treat of a restaurant! The service staff we're very attentive and friendly... With smiles all around. There is a bar with several great selections of mixed drinks and they also have a unique selection of shakes to offer plus an array of different pies for dessert. I had bone in fried chicken for dinner, and two pieces along with two were priced very reasonably at under$10!! The atmosphere was very relaxed and the menu selections offered various chicken items. I would definitely recommend that should give this rest on a try.

this place is a MUST! the chicken is fried perfectly every time- super crispy breading, with a perfectly juicy inside. always fresh, never overcooked. I have never been a fan of bread n' butter pickles, but theirs I absolutely love!! and the entire staff here is amazing as well. everyone I had the pleasure of talking with on my first visit was super friendly, and very knowledgeable about everything they have on the menu. in addition, everything was very clean and the environment was swanky, yet super inviting. I drove over an hour to visit this place, and I will do it again and again. keep it up T22!!

I have been looking for a place to get a regular family pack of bone-in chicken that tastes good and I finally found it. I’m over the Nashville hot trend and I’m tired of wings and tenders. I wasn’t here for that, though I’m sure it’s delicious, but this place knocked it out of the park with their 2-piece dark meat combo. Chicken was crispy, juicy, and flavorful even with a low spice level (I like spice but again, I just wanted regular flavorful chicken). Not only was it good but it was only $8.95 for two of the largest pieces of dark meat I’ve ever seen and 2 sides. Where do you see those prices at these days at a sit-down restaurant?!? The taste and value beats out Gus’s any day. As for the sides, I am very particular about mac and cheese and I generally prefer a baked mac (haven’t found a mac I love yet), but this one was top tier. I inhaled it. The only thing that’s missing is a starchy side like mashed potatoes or potato salad. This is officially my new spot for my fried chicken fix.

Had a hankering for some chicken. Saw this place opened up recently so we gave it a shot. It was lunchtime Wednesday. There is plenty of parking and we were seated right away. I ordered the half chicken half with mac and cheese and coleslaw as sides. You have various levels of spice to choose from ranging from no spice all the the different pepper spices by increasing Scoville levels. I chose the jalapeño and my friend got the the Serrano. The order took a bit to come out since they are making it to order. When the order arrived, I was really impressed. I was thinking they were just going to be sauced like many other places, but instead the different spice levels were integrated into the coating and the result was incredibly flavorful fried chicken. Perfectly cooked. Crispy and crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The jalapeño spice level was perfect for me. My friend who can handle a bit more said the Serrano was fantastic. Sides were excellent. They have plenty of draft beers and a full bar. This is now the best fried chicken in Houston. I’ll be back.

I’ve been to the Tumble in Austin and this one is actually a lot better in my opinion. The vibe inside was really nice, clean, stylish and chill. I wish o ate in because the staff were all super nice, like… scary nice but in a totally good way Lol. Ordered the: - Georgia peach and absolutely loved it. The dark meat was a little much but the bacon and sauce were stunning with batter of the chicken. 10/10 always love bacon but they did it better. - Lil’ OG was pretty good. About what to expect from a fried chicken Sandwhich. 7.5/10 pretty standard fare. - Dirty fries did me dirty. Not my taste, too much cheese and not much taste. Wouldn’t order again unless drunk. 4/10 the base fries are really good alone. - Szechuan fries… they are a mixed bag. A lot going on and I can’t tell how I feel about it. 7.5/10 might order again. Very decent sauce level not drowning in it, cool flavors.

Came here yesterday for dinner. I've been to Tumblee22 before quite a few times but it was at their Louetta location. Thank goodness for this new location because this one is much closer to me. I ordered the 12 piece chicken bites with a side of fries, and 2nd side of mac n' cheese. I also had a their Paloma cocktail and their deviled eggs appetizer. Everything was great! I would say the Paloma was a bit tarty, almost sour in a way and wasn't strong. I had it on an empty stomach (cuz they brought it out before my food) and didn't even get a buzz. The chicken bites and fries were fresh and hot. I got the chicken bites in the "Mo Hot" heat level and they were the perfect amount of hot! They were deff spicy- without a doubt. The deviled eggs were phenomenal. The mac n' cheese was a bit runny but it thickened up as it sat and was nice, also seasoned pretty well. Overall, I enjoyed my meal.

**Veterans eat free on Veterans Day** Sooo I enjoyed my time here. We stopped by for a mother and son lunch date. We went in on a weekday so it wasn't crowded at all which I liked. This is a nice spot for dates, and family friendly. They offer a variety of chicken strips and sandwiches. The food was good, I didn't care for the music it was more like the commercial country type which isn't my vibe, buuuttt that doesn't bother you then you should be good. Very clean and presentable my server was Crystal she took care of us pretty well. The frozen margarita machine was down so I had to order one on the rocks.They only take cards so make sure you come prepared! The manager was very friendly and down to earth .It was a great experience overall. There is a patio for outdoor dining as well.

I love tumble. I’ve been going there since it was just a food truck in Austin, and now to have one open this close to me was a godsend. However - the service at this location leaves MUCH to be desired. They have no drive thru but they do have a pickup window. Now, do they have someone manning the window regularly? No, but there’s a ring doorbell so you can get there attention. Out of the 9 times I’ve come here, someone’s answered the doorbell maybe once, if they weren’t already standing there. Either they’re always short staffed, or they just don’t care. Ive had to go inside to ask for my order each time, and then it’s like they’re just starting to make it or something because it takes an extra 15-20 from that point. I hope this improves, because the only other tumble location in Houston is a 40 minute drive away. But their service is way better.

My new favorite hot chicken spot! I’ve been a loyal Micos and Gus guy for years and honestly this is the best hot chicken I’ve ever had. The chicken portions are huge, juicy, and the seasoning packs a punch that just honestly blew my socks off (and if you like spicy this definitely can hit the spot). Atmosphere inside was also way nicer than I expected. Would be a great place to bring the family, watch the game, or just come to have a drink. They also have a take out window off the side right next to the parking. It’s really that good. Worth the drive 100% Also, as an update - my wife is vegetarian and I can confirm they’ve started carrying veggie burger options!

Our first time here and from the moment we walked in our Tumble 22' s host Ashley who we later found out is the manager greeted us with a smile and sat us at the booth of our liking. Great Job boss lady Ashley leading by example. Our server Jared took great care of us, the moment we told him it was our first time, he started going over all the great things on the menu. Another high quality hot chicken joint hits Houston. Everything was great and the service was happy and quick. There was nothing truly stand out other than the mac and cheese but, I also didn’t get their more signature sandwiches. The chicken bites were super tasty and moist in the Mo’ Hot choice. The Szechuan fries were good. I will absolutely go back to try those to see if it does move up to the 5 star that everyone else says it is. Overall I would recommend stopping by if you like fried chicken or hot chicken.

Stop here for luch while at work. What a great chicken sandwich place. Extremely high quality. Amazing service. Fairly priced. My waitress was so nice and attentive. The georgia peach og is delicious, sweet n spicy type of sandwich with bacon bits. The chicken was bigger than any other chicken sandwich places I have been too.The bread n butter pickles gave it some acidity. The mac n cheese side was really good too. This place was great. Everyone who worked there gave A+ service! The only down side is that, it’s a cashless restaurant but I understand why so doesn’t affect my rating. But the food was off the chart! I got the dive burger which was ever filling and cooked to perfection. My wife got the little OG sandwich and my brother got the OG sandwich. Let me tell you, there is a big size difference lol. The spicy variety is crazy! Thank you to the guy who gave my son a side of the delicious macaroni, he put his hangriness away immediately after taking one bite.

Everything about this restaurant was great. When you first walk in you are greeted with such friendly staff. When our party of six arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty. We ordered, and the food took approximately half an hour to arrive. My order was completely incorrect. I asked the waitress how long it would take to remake my food the way I had ordered it. She shrugged and said “I don’t know.” I did not want to wait another half an hour because I was hungry and because the other people in my party would be finished with their meals by the time I got mine. Can't rate y'all high enough. Ordered the hottest chicken they have and still experiencing goosebumps. Also got down on the Dirty Mac (mac and cheese with bits of hot chicken mixed in) and the collard greens. Google only lets me give 5 stars but I'd give 'em 10 if I could. Y'ALL ALL NEED TO EAT TUMBLE 22. For context, I went to Nashville in 2017 for a chicken tour, and ever since then I have not found good hot chicken. Went for the grand opening , it was amazing! Food made from scratch, beautiful complex and balanced flavors combined to make a beautiful culinary experience. We had a Moscow Mule which was very good, very well balanced! I fell in love with the devilish Eggs with candied bacon. Overall pretty good food and decent value. The chicken was pretty solid and reasonably priced compared to most hot chicken places but wouldn't say it's as good as some of the best hot chicken you can get. We loved this place the food and service was amazing! I had a honey bbq chicken sandwich and the flavor was to die for and the portion of chicken was awesomely huge! This is amazing. Wow the blood orange margarita was great. I had the og junior because I was alone but I wanted to try so much more. I had the heavenly eggs and they were great. Wound up here on accident today and decided to try it out. Boyfriend and i are so glad we did. Our server Elisha was AMAZING. Patient while we looked at the menu and gave us great suggestions. Got a chance to eat here yesterday and I must say I was very impressed. Didn’t start out as good as I’d like having to wait a minute to be seated but Tiffany came and sat me down. She explained the whole menu initially I ordered the double burger (I know but I had to try it) it was one of the better flavorful burgers I’ve had paired with the fries. Afterwards I had The O.G. and my goodness it was flavorful and juicy. I can’t believe this exists, if you get the chance by all means stop by here.

One of the best chicken tenders I’ve ever had. NO QUESTION ASKED IT WAS AMAZING. The only gripe that I have is the price although the quality does justifies the 7.95 price I think if the I didn’t have to pay for fries I’d feel like I’m get a good deal. So many good things to say about this place! This is our new favorite spot for a truly spicy chicken sandwich. Our 10 year old said it made him not want to go to Chic-Fil-A again! So that’s a review in itself. I had the 1/4 fried chicken plate. And it was everything that Houston has been missing in the way of fried chicken. SO good. The decor is very well done. Great ambiance. This was my first time going to tumble 22 and I tell you the food was excellent that is the best fried chicken I’ve had at a restaurant. It was really good it was served hot the flavor was in the chicken the chicken was not old it was very fresh. I will be going back and I gave them a five star. if it was a 10 I will give them a 10. The food is phenomenal, the staff are amazing, and the drinks are fairly priced. We brought our small dog and sat on the patio. An employee brought him water and a treat. My husband had a chicken sandwich and I had the Caesar salad with crispy chicken. Both were tasty and good value. Excited to have this place so close to home.

Had a great experience here, The OG sandwich is pretty good there’s better hot chicken somewheres else but you’ll enjoy this hot chicken, it’ll get the job done. Fries are crispy, Mac and cheese are not my cup of tea. They’re too Rich! The lemonade is sour, get the sweet tea! #NoCrimeHere

Been coming since the soft opening. Awesome food (the reviews are spot on!) and they play the Astros and Texans on Sunday Funday on those sweet new TVs. Tremendous service in a really snazzy build. Glad Tumble 22 are finally open. My new fave Chicken place as a long time Gus’s and Frenchy’s stalwart. BTW: Try the Dive Burger with Bacon & polish it off with the Pecan Pie Shake. Ridiculous good!

Wish I could say the food was great but a server never came to our table. Family and myself were not greeted upon entering and heck we were never asked for our drink order. Sunday afternoon and almost empty. 3 employees standing near the kitchen and not one of them even looked our way. Walked out and so glad we did after looking at the other poor reviews. Awesome little dive downtown, very clean, great waitress, awesome view. The music was good and the vibe was definitely kicking it. I had the deviled eggs which are amazing and the painless chicken (mild because I'm a wuss) it was really good and for sure worth returning for. I liked the managera, they were friendly and outgoing! I wish there was one if these closer to home in Baytown!

This place is seriously finger licking good! I had the Georgia Peach and the Mac n Cheese! The Georgia Peach tastes like a upscale more yummy version of a Chick-fil-A sandwich! Jared was the BEST server we have had EVER. So kind & sweet. Welcomed us in & was soooo nice!! The food was AMAZING as well. The food Came out super fast & was so good. Got a southern buffalo chicken sandwich to go. Still crispy and hot by the time I got home which was about 25 minutes. Coming back to try all of them eventually. Attentive and friendly staff with delicious food. Only downside is your stomach only has so much room.

As a regular tumble, 22 customer who used to visit the original location before this one opened up. I love it ! My only concern is the short stocky, Hispanic manager, who has a hard time believing a customer when something is not right with their food. This food is too good for mediocre service.
