Updates: The AfterService Manager replied and settlement reached. The process is fair. No broken items. Still, not recommending the company unless you want to take a detail note of every single event on the day so you have the detail record to talk with the After Service to get things settled. —— Edit on Dec 7 —— Emailed the after service on Dec 1 and not heard back from them at all. —— Original Post—— I booked my moving few weeks ago with the price confirmed for 2 movers. And on the moving day, 3 movers come and the hourly rate is increased by 25%. Their move coordinator called me 1 day before the moving to confirm the address and time and did not mention anything about the price change. I don’t see any reason the moving of my 1 bedroom place requires 3 big men!!! When calling back Ian the move coordinator inquiring about the changed price and agreement, he claimed that it is to accelerate my move so ultimately I will spend less, and reluctantly offered 10 bucks discount on the hourly rate. We spent around 30 min on that call to clarify the issue (which should definitely happened before the moving day) and he actually wanted to count that time into the moving time as well, until I insisted the phone time shall not be counted or I will ask those guys to leave. And they even threatened me that if I do not accept the moving arrangement my deposit will be forfeited!!! So under duress and misrepresentation, I had those 3 movers started moving my stuff (the movers are fine) and made observation on how the additional work can accelerated the moving process. And the FACT is, it is their poor company truck not having a loading deck/ramp that every furniture has to be lifted by hand to the truck!!!!!! This is very unprofessional and obviously the underlying reason why 3 men were sent to do the truck. It is not helping me to move faster, but rather to compensate the poorly equipped truck. And I also found the 3rd men has nothing to do for around 30-40% of the time when the other two are busy, as he cannot move big items by himself or even just loading/unloading the truck, so I do pay more at the end. I also confirmed that I have to move bed frames so disassembling and assembling is required during quotation and also the day before moving, and those people came with no tools and had to use my tools (that i kept from IKEA when I bought the bed frame) And eventually the entire move is over my budget and fill with lies and threats. The movers are helpful but the company is very unprofessional.

UPDATE Oct. 24, 2023 As below I have an update. The company was very quick to offer me a resolve. There is work to fix the table and wall but at least I can move on without a hassle. My piece of advice would be to get full insurance coverage for replacement value when you move. ‐‐------------------------------------- Moving is probably one of the more stressful, costly functions we endure during our life. There are variables to consider when rating moving companies....the front end office/administration, the actual movers, then the after-care team to deal with issues. I would like to address the first two because this review may change when I finish dealing with the third variable. First - this move had to be booked and happen quickly....was a new build condo where the possession and move in happened over a couple of weeks.....so no planning a couple months ahead! The gal I dealt with in the office when calling to book was extremely professional, understanding and up-front with costs. I did not have any surprises so happy with that variable. Second - the two movers booked for this job - which was small - so no couches, pianos, appliances, and didn't even have to go into the house - everything was in the garage. They arrived 1/2 hour after expected time (they did call however). 98% of the items were wrapped and everything else in boxes/bins. One item not wrapped at the time of move was a wood/iron, fairly expensive TV stand. OK - so they head out and assumed (which one should never do) they knew they were heading to Calgary (from just outside of Calgary). After a while--no show, so I called them and they were headed to Canmore!!! Clearly a lack of communication on the front end and them...they were relying on a google map address....come on---really??? Anyway that was another 1 hour delay to deal with the front office to get that taken off my bill - which they did so kudos again to the front office. Third - the move in-after getting everything in - the TV stand mentioned above had a deep long scratch on the top so obviously that was not protected and a deep gouge in a wall - who knows what hit that!!! Both have been reported when writing this - so we will have to see what the end result is and will update this post as soon as that is dealt with. Bottom line - I have moved MORE times than care to admit some good, some average and some not so good. Is there really a moving company that employ extremely caring movers or just ones that want to get the job done?

Can't say that we could have had a worse experience than moving with this company. Here it looks like they stood back and threw things into the C-can. Notice the wagon sitting on a chair leaning against a book shelf. No shrink wrap or blankets! They actually deserve a negative rating but the site insists on 1 star or it won't post. I'll add more pictures of the damage! I try to call the owner but apparently he doesn't get involved. You have my money and I submitted a claim, yet you can't find me in your system. That's concerning. Or is the comment just an attempt to discredit my review? Several weeks later. Still no resolution and little communication from the after service team. We have done all of the work. No one from the company has come to see the damage. We had to send pictures of the damage which doesn't really show the full impact of what we are left with. Our entire household property was damaged by this company and no real attempt for anyone to care! Oh and by the way the owner couldn't find me in the system to verify me because I used Dave and David , so he didn't know it was me. Even though he had the same phone number and the same email address, and I paid him for the first move. Pretty pathetic!

If I could not give a star, I would. Moving house as you probably know, is one of the most stressful things people can do in their life. The men hired were several hours late because they were finishing up a job from the previous day. When they finally arrived, we were told they could only take half of our items and that they would have to come back next week for the rest. I have never experienced this from any moving company in my life. This is extremely unprofessional; when I hire a company I expect all my belongings to be moved, not half. They phoned their boss Alan, I believe his name is, who said lackadaisically, they could come back in a couple of days. The young men dealing with him mentioned more than once that that was not possible. The only solution one of the young men had, was to call another company to come the next day and hopefully they would. We were lucky that they did. A terrible experience. My love seat has rips in the arm, and my bedroom furniture was damaged. I don’t believe these five star reviews they must be set up.

Do not use this company. Completely useless when moving my elderly mother from one condo to another in Calgary on August 23rd. Unprofessional, careless, painfully slow, and their management did not respond AT ALL when complaints were made during the actual moving process. We had agreed in advance that they would pack her kitchen but they showed up to the condo without a clue how to do this and didn’t bring ANY packing materials for crockery etc, just some cardboard boxes? We ended up stopping them halfway through that process as it was painful to watch. Damaged furniture during the move (a 1km drive ). Didn’t wrap mattresses despite being asked to so they were filthy. Barely seemed to know how to operate the truck and nearly damaged that in the process (didn’t know how to close it once loaded?!) To top it all off, when the “crew” arrived at the condo at the start of the move, they told us in advance that they appreciate tips and good Google reviews

My name is Inder Roopra, I just used Two Small Men with Big Hearts for their services - A REAL DISAPPOINTMENT! I moved my stuff within Winnipeg area and got the quotation of around $2200 but on the move-out day, 2 trucks came in and assured me the process will be smooth and not charged extra! To my surprise, I have been charged over $4000!! Also, I have more than 20 items, bed furniture corners, mirrors corners, glass items, vases broken/damaged badly!!!! Some boxes with my memorable items ARE LOST and I can not find those anymore!!! What a scam and a disappointing service!!!! I am stuck now with my claim and have to resort to Court Legal resources to get back compensation of at least $7000-$10000 including the extra $2000 I have been charged wrongly!!!! Do not use their services and waste your money!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AND WILL 100% PURSUE LEGALLY!!!!

From first phone call to the office, the staff were very helpful. I had Hasson & Ron move everything in from our seacan (big steel box) that was stored for a year. These two made the move (day) fun and enjoyable. We have moved a lot over the years! Nothing was broken, no damage to any walls, floors stayed clean on a snow day in Calgary. (Dec 8) I highly recommend Two Small Men with big hearts! Will definitely use this company again and will ask for Ron & Hassan. Watch for scamming moving companies which unfortunately I've hired in the past, that was a nightmare! Thanks to everyone at Two small men with big hears that made this move a dream!

A great, reliable company to work with! The two movers I was assigned were kind, proactive, knowledgeable and took great care of my items. NOTHING was damaged in the process of the move. I'm not sure why they weren't supplied with their own tools so I'm leaving this note here in hopes that the company will invest in tools to be sent out with their crew. You should also be aware that they charge minimum 1 HOUR for travel time (even though it only took 5 minutes to get from my old house to my new house). That is their company policy, so keep that in mind. Otherwise, exceptional job by the movers and I'd recommend them to anyone!

Thank you to this amazing moving company. From booking our move with Heather, who made it so easy to do, helping us with storage and answering my numerous questions, to the three wonderful men, Mantell, Coulter, and Aiden, who arrived promptly and loaded our entire townhouse. They took special care with our heirlooms, wrapping them all carefully. Once loaded, as prearranged with Heather, they dropped off a few pieces of furniture to our daughter’s home. The whole team were professional, courteous, personable, and humorous. We will definitely be calling to arrange our next move in October and would highly recommend them.

Booked a move 4 weeks in advance from condo to condo both of which need a time to be booked for elevator lockout and security. Less than 48 hours before the move, on a Sunday, was told they needed to change the move time to afternoon. With the short notice was not able to change the move out and in times booked. Unscheduled moves incur fines of $300+. Had to find another company at last minute. Surely this company is aware of the rules for condo moves. A horrible experience. In addition, they have yet to refund the deposit. Are not responding to text and email requests.

Very friendly when I first contacted them for a quote. Did a virtual walk through via FaceTime. Guys showed up on time and worked hard and put in long hours to get it done. We used the packing and moving service. They returned the next day with an additional member and an extra truck to get it done quickly. The main guy was professional, friendly and very open and honest about cost. I appreciated their work. We still have a move in to do and they will return with our stuff out of storage to put it in the new house but they easily accommodated this move.

DO NOT hire this Company. Front end staff are Great. Movers not so much. I was left with stuff in my apartment. Ronald the head guy decided too pack up and leave. WITH MY STUFF. Not a word. How do I begin to explain how incredible this company was through our entire move? We had an emergency come up and had to postpone our move. The person on the phone was beyond helpful with getting the date changed for our move. Because of the emergency we were behind in packing and cleaning and felt so stressed but Mark and his team were so helpful and efficient. These gentlemen did everything they could to set our minds at ease and make the move as stress free as possible. If you ever need movers I would highly recommend them.

Moving is always stressful but Two Small Men made it easier for sure. Good communication with the office staff and day of our movers (Kalmin, Marc & Hassen) were wonderful. They were fast and efficient but also took care of our belongings, paid attention to the house, and made sure we had everything where we needed it. I've had movers in the past who went for speed over all else and broke things as a result but this was not the case with Two Small Men. I would definitely book them again for my next move.

Braden and Monty helped us move from our condo in Calgary to our new home in Nelson. The guys had exceptional customer service throughout the duration of our move, which was a considerably long and difficult move with many stops. Despite the challenge, they remained upbeat, friendly, courteous, and extremely professional. It was a pleasure to work with two small men and I would highly recommend. We will certainly be using them again :)

Just moved a 5 bedroom house from Calgary to Northern Alberta. The locked in pricing was great as I knew what to expect and there was no surprises. Chance and Majid (there were 2 others, forget their names) were awesome. Chance can pack a truck and make it all fit. We had more stuff than what was on the list and he was able to make it all fit no issues. Will use them again without thinking if we have to move again.

I couldn’t recommend Two small me with big hearts enough! From start to finish, they were very professional and so nice! The booking was easy and Jordan helped confirm the details. And Brayden and Jayden moved us in great time and so kind and efficient. Thank you all for making my life so much easier at this time! Moving sucks at the best of times, this took lots of stress off! We booked TSM to move my parents into storage. We scheduled them to come and drop off some items to our home on the way to storage- The movers were extremely friendly, professional and quick. My son (4) is very into trucks, and the crew made the time to show him around the truck, and even let him pull the air horn. Would gladly hire TSM again and will recommend them to everyone we know!!

I had such a stress free move thanks to the amazing 3 man crew of Chris, Marc and Logan. They were on time, well prepared, extremely friendly and professional, and we were even entertained with some well timed jokes! This is my second time using this company, and I’ll never use anyone else for my moving needs! I highly recommend!

This moving company was on time , reliable and kept us in touch the whole time. I feel I was treated honestly , the service and price were very good. The 2 delivery men were also very careful and placed our boxes and furniture where we wanted. Courteous and polite. I would recommend them to friends anytime. Very efficient team!

Looks like they stood back and chucked it in. I had two 10 x 10 storage units and they crammed most of my furniture, etc. in just one. No blankets. This is teak, oak, mahogany furniture. They have no idea. The worst decision I ever made. Cost me $1,000. So they could junk my furniture. Don’t even deserve one star.
