I had reserved e 15’ truck 2 days in advance. When I got there the person behind the counter could not find my reservation. I gave him the confirmation number and he couldn’t find that. So being frustrated he started entering information into the computer as a walk in. Then after going through all the information again he then had trouble finding the key to the truck that the computer printed up to him. After trying to search for this key I told him just pick one. I was already there for 25 minutes. So he went to his boss and she came out to see what the problem was. The manager found that the computer was logged into the wrong system. When that was corrected my reservation came up and I was finally able to get the truck, but now I had to go to the back of the building where the truck was park in and parking structure for which I had to back it out with no assistance hoping not to hit any support pillars. I was able to do that then I’m trying to get out down the driveway I wad blocked in for 3 more minutes till it was moved, then I was on my way to do my work with a delay of total 35 minute at 8:35am. Upon returning the truck I return it to the same location down the driveway to a spot that say stop here and someone will check it in. This was at 10:43am. So they said just drop the keys on the counter and go. I just got my receipt and it said they checked it in at 2:30pm. I saw no difference in charge so that was ok then but they did charge me for a dolly that I did not rent. So now have to find how to dispute that. So that was my experience at this location today

Made a uhaul reservation, got a confirmation email, called ahead to make sure the van was there. All confirmed. Fine. So I thought. I showed up via Uber to the location provided and confirmed on Wilshire and they claimed to not have a reservation. They didn’t have any information about it. I showed them the email with their physical address and my reservation confirmation. They didn’t care and walked away from the window dismissively telling me to call uhaul. I called the same number again and someone else answered at uhaul central and they said the van is 4 miles away at another location (Baldwin Hills). No apologies or explanation for the change. They lied about calling to inform me the day before; they never called. I have a uhaul account that shows me all the communication between uhaul and me, including texts, calls, etc. it’s interesting that they thought I couldn’t check their lies. No record of any alleged attempted communication. Why would I show up to my confirmed address if I had received a call not to? No compensation for a second longer Uber ride to the next location. Nothing. They again lie about the $50 guarantee since they make up a story about calling to avoid having to payout for their mistake. It’s a scheme to make more money by charging mileage on the van. I’ve been a long time customer, but whether it’s uhaul or their employees who are dishonest at best, I suggest taking your business elsewhere. They obviously don’t want your continued business anyway - just your money.

I ordered my pickup truck online for Sunday with an estimate of $45. I knew that with my legend might be a little more a little more so once I arrived at the location Sunday that's a location Sunday morning the the place was clean the staff were straightening up packaging. Most of staff was was nice and helpful one had a little attitude. After checking out and going to get the truck it was stuck between 2 other trucks so my brother went back in to ask the young lady to move the truck in front. We were standing outside for a good 15 minutes or so he had to go back in cause she had forgotten. Another staff guy came out and move the truck. I checked the truck out it did have a few dents. Also 1 tire had low tire pressure the filled it but it didn't have a cap I said well take 1 off another truck tire. On the return They were a little busy so we just left the truck and they said I will get a receipt later I did forget something in the truck I called it was closed by then. Called this morning And they found it and I said I will come and get it later in the day. I finally looked at my final receipt so From my 1st online estimated $45 to $91 my final receipt was $116. I felt that the gas was still full but I was missing 2 gallons so that was $10.50 and then he estimated my travel of 50 miles because it was 20 miles back-and-forth but it ended up being 66 miles also that went from estimate of $31 to $52. All for 4 and half hours of use.

I reserved a van today at U-Haul Crenshaw through the app, I chose a one-way option. Then, when I got to the pick up location and confirmed amount of mileages and duration of renting, the staff guy said it’s impossible for this van to make a one-way and I must return the van to the same location. I was confused about it and was thinking about how it could be as I chose this option on the app. The staff guy convinced me it will be cheaper to return this van to the same location instead taking another one with one-way option and he said it’ll be around $100 instead approximately $50 for in-town, so I agreed with him. After that, when I returned the van, I saw that I’m charged much more than was expected and that guy and the app showed me, and I realised that it’s because that guy named a price with amount of mileages in my one-way direction. So that guy just mixed up everything and told me incorrect information. I really disappointed this first experience with U-Haul. In addition, I added 2 medium sized boxes to my order in the app and of course I was charged for it but this guy let me without these boxes, I realised it only when I was far away from that place. So I’d like to get a refund for these boxes weren’t given to me. And I’d like to know what we can do in this situation when the stuff member just confused me and I had to pay much more in the end.

Horrible customer service and bad service from employees and management. While using their storage we asked an employee if we could use the charging outlets. They said we could & that it was fine. Later on we were met by a lady named Yvonee and she came to me and told me I am not allowed to use the charging ports & the next time she sees me doing it she will CANCEL MY WHOLE STORAGE. That was so so strange because we got told we could, so we went to the office and asked who she was, and why is she threatening to close down our storage over something we got told we could do. They said she was wrong and they would have the store manager call. Well we got a call from a "Ernie" claiming To be the store manager which we found out he isn't a store manager. Someone named "Andrew" is but we get this call and this guy Ernie is unprofessional and going off on us and making more threats that he will lock up our storage from us and sale our stuff. We have all interactions recorded and we sent it in to corporate of Uhaul. Because staff like this should not be representing such a big brand acting unsuitable & forgetting they're at work and not at home. So if I were you I would avoid using this place your storage isn't safe with staff like this. I got all my stuff out quick and left good riddance.

The staff was very nice and quick with getting us set up. But make sure when you return the truck after hours to have a copy of your receipt for filling up the tank and picture of the gas gauge. The morning after I returned my rental I saw an extreme amount of charges for gas...I filled the tank before returning the truck. I called customer service and explained this to a woman who was very dismissive claiming they have a picture of the tank being completely on empty and said 'there was nothing they could do if I didn't have a receipt, cause I obviously didn't fill the tank.' So I had to get up, call my bank to find out the time and amount for the charge, go to the gas station I was at the night before, have them find and print it, go back to U-Haul location...the employees there fixed it with no issues and tell me they have problems with people sneaking in at night and siphoning gas out of the trucks and they don't know until someone like me comes through having had to do all this run around. It seems like corporate is failing this location. They need to do something to increase security at this location or fix their attitudes and hurdles for their customers being affected by known issues they can't help the location fix.

Amber is one of the most professional and understanding General Managers I have encountered in Los Angeles. I want to thank her for providing awesome customer service because she went above and beyond to accommodate my needs for truck and storage rentals. She proved to me that she promotes ethical transactions in her facility, because she corrected the errors that could have charged me more money. I was surprised that she took her personal time on her day off work to solve my dispute and helped me to understand the contract was fair. I love this place because it's clean, equipped with everything I needed to move, and the rates are fair. This location has an area were people donate items that are free to chose from. That was the fun part! So I recommend everyone to visit this location, and be patient because good service requires time for everyone. Thanks again Amber for being a successful, beautiful and deserving Professional Black Woman, because your a good example of what's possible in life. The customer service at this location is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Everyone that works here seems checked out or completely lazy. I asked several times for the clerks to apply my gift card to my recent order. I was told that I would need to do that upon returning the vehicle. In order to get it back in time before this location closed (I originally planned to return after hours), I had to rush my move. Yet, once I arrived, there was no employee to help me check in the van. The receptionist told me that he couldn’t leave the front desk and that I would need to leave my gift card number and information with him to complete the transaction later. After waiting two days, this location finally completed the order without applying my gift card credit, forcing me to work with UHaul’s online customer service. This location has consistently messed up several of my orders. I will be taking my business to other rental companies in the future.

when i went to return my equipment there was one woman working and she said she couldn't check me out because she was the only one working, but told me that she would do it in the next 30 minutes and I'd receive an emailed receipt after I didn't receive my receipt and confirmation that the equipment was returned after 2.5 hours I went back to the location to confirm, there was someone different working the desk when I got there. When I walked in she looked up from her for and let out a huge sigh when she saw me. I told her I needed to be checked out and she looked me up on the computer to complete checkout. Two separate times in the 5 minutes she was completing my paperwork, she stopped to answer text messages on her cell phone. I've never seen someone less happy to be working than she was to be at your location. I did notice her name tag was turned backwards so I couldn't see her name. Maybe a coincidence, but seemed intentional.

There was one person checking everyone into their storage units and for van rental. They did a very good job managing this, but they were overwhelmed with a line out of the door - I arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled 9:30am pickup time and there was 15 people in front of me and within 10 mins another 15+ people behind me. It took me an hour to get my rental van and when I got in it it was filthy - dust and dirt all over it, trash in there and the fuel was marked as "Full" on my contract, but the actual tank was closer to 3/4 full, so when I filled it up to take it back I over filled it as I didn't want to get charged for a full tank - I noted this when I checked the van over, but still over paid for fuel on returning it. The check engine light then kept coming on saying the engine oil was low and to top up, so I was concerned it would breakdown during my rental period, which is poor.

by far the worst experience in customer service history the audacity for this man to walk in after i been waiting for 35 minutes that i clocked to come in with an attitude saying what can i do for you as i stated im here to rent a uhual he continued to have an attitude and decides to call the police after denying service with racial actions by serving a caucasian couple that was behind me they even stated no its okay help them (referring to me and my partner) of course the police never arrived and he stated he cant help us with no reasoning why this is the rudest most disrespectful individual i have ever dealt with in customer service he should not be able to clock in another hour as a uhual employee and by reviewing other reviews this is an ongoing issue with this uhual location if negative stars was an option thats what i would have selected

Here's the deal. Staff was awesome. Mobile pick-up was not great. Full disclosure: I'v always used Uhaul and will continue to but was it a treat this morning. My truck got double booked which was fine, that probably happens but I had to jump to 3 different trucks in a 45 minute time span. All things considered, not a huge deal but I chose mobile pick-up to get there and get on my way but it took 45 minutes. Again, staff was dope so no problem with them but wish I didn't have to hop truck to truck. My advice to folks booking mobile...probably still quicker than the line? Maybe show up earlier in the day, but maybe a different location for mobile.

We made a reservation at the Robertson LA location. However, when we went there, no one was there. It took a lot of time to find out that there was no one there and that our reservation was moved to a different location without informing us. It took us over an hour to get to that location. Why did they not call us that there were no trucks at that location? We could have gone to the new location without problems. Instead, we wasted around 2 hours trying to get our truck. I will never use U-haul again. I will look for other companies and may use a moving company instead. This is a bad company and I hope it goes bankrupt.

Could not have asked for a better experience moving with U-haul yesterday. One staff member was incredibly friendly though i was hours late for pickup and overwhelmed. They even extended my reservation to last 24 hours free of charge and I am forever grateful for that. Checkout was just as smooth and the staff member that helped me then was very friendly. Overall appreciate their kindness and the ease of the u-haul experience, which is often challenging and draining.

Although the sales associate, Ryan M, was very helpful when I picked up the truck, I was gauged by the overrageous fuel charge simply because there is no gas station nearby that can safely accommodate the size of the trust I rented. I only used 1/8 of fuel and was charged $52. When I spoke with the general manager, Andrew, he said there is nothing he can do Be aware of the potential challenge and excess charge when you rent at this location

They were the one thing that went right during a very difficult time in my life compounded by moving. Everyone there was professional and friendly especially Monique who even offered some well needed words of advice and Russ who was always there to help solve many problems. I rented a pickup truck and returned it two hours later. I noticed that I never received my receipt over email as was promised so I gave them a call. Two days later I get the receipt and they claimed I kept the truck for two days. Now I’ve had a number of calls fighting for a refund of that additional day. This location is extremely busy and disorganized. Would advise you renting from another Uhaul location.

I have 2 storages at this location. Kelsi helped me today when I got another storage and she was extremely professional and courteous. Not only did she help me with the storage but she helped me condense all my belongings into one storage so that it is much more convenient for me. After my visit today I have a 5 star rating for this location. I also saved money getting a truck and a bigger storage.

The Uhaul was dirty when I picked it up. The trunk was littered with garbage and the cigarette holder in the front was filled with used cigarettes. I also got on the road 40 minutes after my scheduled pick up time because the side mirror was only attached by Duct tape and needed to be replaced. Great employees who were very helpful.

Window handle on truck was broken and I was double charged. U-Haul makes it very difficult to reach someone for support. When it comes to scheduling a rental it's easy but once my money has been taken "after purchase" support is non existent with 50 minute wait times on hold and ZERO option for a call back request.
